I've done a lot of thinking over the past few months and I've come to the conclusion that I will no longer be taking first come, first serve slot-based commissions outside of conventions, with certain exceptions (see below).[/i] Dealing at conventions is really great since commissions taken there have a deadline of at con delivery and it is in my power to take on more commissions if I feel like it. I cannot express how great freelance has treated me over these years and I am truly grateful for all of the cute critters I've had the opportunity to draw for you all.
In this journal, I will be covering what I will and will not be offering and how to commission me in the future.

In this journal, I will be covering what I will and will not be offering and how to commission me in the future.
ONLINE COMMISSIONS[/u]
- All fully rendered pieces will be done in an auction format
- People who wish to gain certain slots will have to apply with their character and will be chosen based off of my own interest
- My artwork is not consistent, so commissions from here on out will be experimental to a certain extent
- The only first-come first-serve slot commissions I'll be doing are in stream OR small commissions, like colored headshot sketches, icons etc. ONLY
CONVENTION COMMISSIONS[/u]
- I will only be offering the following: headshot badges, specialty badges (con themed or personal choice), toned paper sketches
- I will no longer be offering the following: digital commissions, fullbody badges,
- Pre orders will be strictly limited
- Specialty badges will be the only way to get a waist up badge
- Take home commissions will no longer be unlimited slots.
HOW TO COMMISSION ME[/u]
- I will be posting a journal and a submission for a monthly commission opening.
- There will be a from linked in the bottom for you to fill out with what you want specifically.
- You and others will be applying for a limited number of slots, in which those slots will be completed by the end of the month.
- If you are selected, you will pay ONLY after the sketch is completed for your commission
- If there is no monthly commission post, then that simply implies that I will be too busy to take on work for that month.
- I may or may not open up for random slots for small commissions, like headshot sketches and icons. Those will most likely be announced on my Twitter account
Thank you all so much for reading. This journal will be updated with new information when I see fit. It feels really nice to know that I am my own manager and that I'm finally putting my foot down in knowing what I can and cannot handle work-wise. Again, thank you all so much for reading and I look forward to seeing what you throw at me!

Life Update! Good news!~~

So first off, here is my current queue that I am cranking away at! I plan to have everything done before Halloween. https://trello.com/b/g37a2Vff/commissions
But now to the actual stuff! Man art school is going super swell and my transition to SoCal life has gone smoother than anything. It's so amazing having all these opportunities at my finger tips and I've already taken advantage of a few to really get me going in this fast-paced career path. Learning how to traditionally animate by people whom have worked in the industry and have been in my spot before is so motivating. On top of that, my partner/mentor works for Disney Animation Studios and learning relevant programs, such as Maya, whilst becoming fluent in Photoshop just makes me so excited for my future.
I can't wait to look back on my past work to see how much I have improved and recognize what a great asset formal artistic education was to me. I've had a few moments where a strong fear of missing out kicked in since I am a transfer student and practically wasted the last two years of my schooling on stuff that my parents wanted me to focus on.
Realizing my talent and purpose has never felt so sincere.
I think I'm finally happy with where I am but also aware of how great things with hopefully play out if I push my limits!
That being said, given my new environment, the future of my commission status is more clear than ever. I have a very hectic homework/studio schedule that I believe I have the hang of, but it will only get more intense as my schooling continues. So, if I do open for commissions after this current batch, they will be either very quick or sold during convention timelines. Learning how to balance school and work has been difficult for me for the past few years due to a lot of emotional factors that took over, but since I'm actually in a good spot creatively AND mentally, I believe this balance will come naturally.
I plan on hosting weekly streams of commissions, personal work and maybe even some in-stream experimental stuff. Just to keep me busy :3
Sorry if this journal is all over the place. I'm overwhelmed with how positive things are turning out for me and I feel so motivated to keep these good spirits high and my artistic morale in full swing.

General | Posted 10 years agoGod damn is summer school kicking my ass but it will be done July 24....trying to balance the excelled schoolwork (weekly exams/7 page papers) with artwork that I want to do well, just is difficult. ;n;
Frankly school is the priority and I'm doing the best I can to try both things at once.

-There is a magic kinda pet store thing with a dragon in the back that has lost some of his scales from being away from the magic place for too long (the dragon also has a mom)
- I want to say there is a black cat acting as a familiar to the boy to help him
- In the second book, there is a selkie girl
-The cover of the book has an orange dragon with holographic hypno eye things and the boy (blonde) is riding him and i want to say the ca is hanging on the back or something. Dragon looks in flight and his head is in the bottom right corner. I dont remember where the title is located.
- The magic portal is in a park (hyde park????)

General | Posted 10 years agoThis journal has nothing to do with commission status or anything, so don't worry, just a personal journal I guess. Looking for advice. Sorry if this is scattered. 3am and typing on a small keyboard.
A lot is going on in my life academically and planning my future is becoming rather daunting considering I don't know where I'll be in the fall OR what I will be studying.
As of right now, I'm waiting to hear back from Woodbury which is a small college in the heart of the animation area in Burbank. If accepted, I would be there to major in animation. It's really cool too because I'm required to do an internship in order to graduate (I actually have an internship this summer all set up, but unsure if that counts!!).
I'd most likely be there for 3 years given that my core requirements for my current school have taken up the entirety of my first two years of college....aka I've only had time to do art 101 and a really bad 3D design class...and then I'm expected to crank out a major in two years??? Nah not happening.
That's all if I get accepted too, which I sure hope I will hhh....regardless, I want to leave my current school and just go somewhere else yet I find myself just spiraling down because I don't even know what I want to do in the future.
Yeah art is really great and I recognize that I'm good at it and I certainly want to improve but mANNNN O MAN does the low salary thing bother me. Coming from a background where $$$ = success, it's difficult to see if art is really my passion or if I should look elsewhere to gain praise from my family/discover I'm better at something else. My real dream is voice acting but wow is that even more competitive. Ideally I would love to combine animation skills with voice talent and try and make something out of it but oh well.
I'm really into tech stuff, such as UI design and general web layouts, so something with computers would be great too but I also don't want to lose touch with my art.
Socially I have a great friend group up here and a large supportive furry community as well, so leaving them behind would really suck. Contact would just be online and I'd have to start all over again, which is difficult. Plus it would make my relationship long distance and I don't think I can...hh that's another topic.
God just thinking about all these possibilities I have is scary and exciting...but I have to choose one. I could suck it up, stay here with my social group and take classes that are interesting but not really beneficial, get a degree in business/communications/something and then art grad it up. Or I could turn a new stone and start all over again socially, take classes I really enjoy but have my relationship be in possible jeopardy and constantly be in fear of stuff idk.
I over think a lot and as much as my parents are willing to help me, I don't want to regret any decision I make in regards to my future success. I already made the mistake of choosing my current college and regardless of meeting great people and making awesome friends, it's hindering my ability to be expressive and whatnot. Not giving me the right assets I need to feel secure.
I feel like a lot of the "worrying about money" and "regretful decisions" come from me doubting my confidence in a professional environment. I've never had a job besides freelance and I'm great with people in a business setting, such as FC table etc. Just scaryyryrycyy.....
TL;DR I want to draw for a job but I get unmotivated due to the worrying about my family's success push thing. I know I have other skills other than drawing, but I don't know if I should tap into those for possible financial benefits or if I should stick to my guns and go with what I know I'm good at and use that mindset to crush the competition.

I've been getting a few notes from people about the status of their FC commission and I'm just making a general journal stating to NOT NOTE ME about the status of your commission.
I currently am taking 5 classes at my university, aka 9-3 almost every day since I have all of them /on the same days/. I only have Thursdays and weekends off but with my current workload of nearly 2-3 hours per class of homework/studying alone, it's left me feeling drab and just shitty.

On top of that, I have contracted artwork for Furoticon due as well.
And on top of THAT, I am trying very very hard to transfer from my current college to one where I can breathe more artistically. Those deadlines are in March, yet I have to balance these with my current college essays/tests as well as my current FC queue.
This does not mean that I am giving up or blowing you off. I just have a new pace for myself given my time management situation.
I have been trying to do at least 2 badges a day (2-4 hours depending) as well as doing some digital work as well for my portfolio.
I have completed all FC preorders that were not delivered at con and I am about a third of the way done with take-home comms as well so I'm going pretty steady.
If you really need to contact me/ need your commission for an upcoming convention like TFF or VF, I may consider bumping you in the queue, yet at a rush fee of +$10
