Years ago, dragons used to be the most popular magical creatures.
Why in all sudden - according to various franchises - dragons became one of the most hated magical creatures?

*That's an impression I have after seeing recent anime & animated series alongside with reading recent manhwa & manga series with dragons in them.

Why do we have less rights to exist than others according to various people and why are we still hated while doing nothing wrong to others?
Why are various people unable to deal with our existence while being able to get along with declared enemies?

Why if a dragon has 2 legs + 2 wings, it is not a dragon (Daenerys' "children", movie Smaug, Alduin etc), but auddenly if a character is name after a dragon (Monkey D. Dragon), uses dragon powers/aura (Might Guy, dragonslayer magic users from Fairy Tail - except for dragonized ones) or nicknamed after a dragon (Kiryu, Orsted, Iroh) - then such character is treated as a dragon?

Why are some of people (besides of Russians for obvious reasons) so obsessed with hating Ukraine and Ukrainian people that they fight for Russia against Ukraine and Ukrainian people?

Why are there so many of people who believe that Russian people are "supreme" to us (Ukrainian people)?

Why both fans and writters hate dragons' dragon forms recently and use them as less as they can?
Shapeshifting dragons should spend way more time in their dragon forms.
I read series with dragon protagonists especially becausr one of protagonists is a literal dragon, not because they can change into humans.

Why so much of hostile attitude towards Ukraine recently?

So the question is why are they so understimated?

1. Why aren't they included in "The strongest anime characters" lists (yes, Arceus is the strongest in Pokemon Verse, but these 3 are also absolutely beasts in terms of being OP, too!)?
2. Why pokemons like Rayquaza, Mewtwo, Ultra Necrozma etc. are considered "stronger" by fans while having way weaker abilities and power capabilities?

Also let's accept one truth - game mechanics do not count, Legendaries are heavily nerfed in games. Every single of them.

4. Why is Ukraine labelled as "a villain" if it is Ukraine who was invaded and nobody, regardless of their views, denies this invasion?
5. Why is literally every single Russian crime is "whitewashed", why is Russia viewed as a "flawless angel" if it is trying to completely obilerate its western neighbor?
6. Why is Ukraine being labelled as a "warmonger" if it is Ukraine who was invaded and if the main idea of armed forces all around the world is to repel invasions (that's why they are called DEFENSE)?
7. Why is Ukrainian nationalism demonized, but Russian one is labelled as something "normal"?
8. Why are there entire media outlets, dedicated to lromote ukrainephobia?
9. Why is ukrainephobia labelled as "a freedom of speech", but russophobia is labelled as "a problem"?
10. Why is Soviet rule over Ukraine (1922-1991; no independence, opressions, repressions, Holodomor, supression of national identity etc.) labelled as something "good"?

Still hoping to gind a girlfriend.

There is no national supremacy. People should stop believe in non-existing "supreority" of Russian people over Ukrainian ones.

Wars in Palestine, Yemen, Sudan etc. give no grounds to hate Ukraine and Ukrainian people. Moreover, Ukraine, despite of being at war - is able to send humanitarian aid to war-torn countries.

Ukrainephobes are not heroes. Ukrainephobes are villains.

Ukrainian culture, particularly writters and musicians, should be respected.

Give anime adaption to dragon friendly manga series, not to those where the only role of dragons is to be slain!

1. Dragons get no character development, no motivation, no plot role. They just get slain and nothing else.
2. It is not about dragons being evil, this trope applies to some good and neutral dragons (Vyserion & Rhaegal, for example), too.
3. Many of modern manga/manhwa/anime writters are unable to write a proper dragon lore. Many of writters cannot even see dragons beyond those who should be killed.
4. It shows dragon sbeing weak.

Why are users allowed to comment on pages of users they blocked in case if blocked users did not block them?

Sometimes I have a feeling that anime, manga, manhwa etc. writters, as well as mass media authors hate dragons.

Let's take, for example, Carsearin. A funny manhwa series about a femboy dragon travelling around the world after reading fairy tales abour heroes and knights. How it ends? With a genocide of almost entire dragon kind.

An another series, Starting as the Black Dragon BOSS. MC gets a cool and OP dragon form, humilating everyone until Chapter 33 - when his dragon form becomes ... his pet, and MC changes into a demon lord instead.

Good Bye, Dragon life, 5000 years old weak dragon, To Do-Over Damsel to conquer the Dragon King. 3 anime series with a dragon lore for Autumn 2024, in one a dragon is isekaied into a human, in another one a dragon is a joke and in a third one there are no dragons besides of a little one of a size of a newborn kitten.

Doom Breaker. The plot suggests MC slaying gods, later he slays dragons. Just for their hearts. And people claim this manhwa to be "one of the "best".

Shut Up, Evil Dragon, I don't want to raise chidlren with you. A recent manhua series about a dragonslayer's forced life with a dragon wife. Everything is good, except for a dragon wife barely taking form of a dragon because "fanservice is "more important".

Dungeon Meshi. A sole role of a dragon is to die and to be eaten. Not to mention it being a sort of a pet for a certain mage.

Sosou no Frieren. Same, except for a dragon's corpse not being consumed. While fans are ranting over a random demon girl, who did tons of bad things, too, being slain by Frieren.

Mass Western media? HotD and GoT, where dragons are being pets of a royal family in exile. People somehow believe that ASOIF dragon lore is "the best".

So the problem is that we barely have any proper dragon lore in mass media. Dragons either die - often for no reason, become someone's pets/servants, being a one big joke or turn into humans and never transform back again.
