Update about Overdue Completion List. PLEASE READ
Posted 9 years agoIn light of recent things that have come to light about my two owners Overdue Completion List.
This is the list from when I offered commissions for the first time. I have released various journals as to the 'why', if you wish to read them they are still in my journal history and your welcome to look through them.
The work for this list is slotted around when I have enough cash spare to buy additional materials AND time around my current work (if you're not listed below then you are on my current work and this message does not apply). This work is also worked through chronologically according to the lists below.
HOUNDOOM
(as twitters word count is not suitable)
I have offered to cover the shipping costs for a new DTD (offered 7 months ago, currently you'll have to wait till I'm paid to do so but the offer still stands as it did 7 months ago) for Houndoom as their current DTD is not useable (built on stretch material and without arms). Until I get this DTD their suit has been put on hold waiting for a reply.
I have now publicly offered to move them from the completion list to the refund list (today) and I am awaiting a response. This would be subject to the same conditions as originally offered when they decided to be put on the completion list.
To answer the 'I haven't seen my suit'. You have. I have WIPs here up till I had to complete the Kyubimon quadsuit (below) for her owners convention debut.

I freely admit after not hearing word back from Houndoom after a week I should of sent a response reminder. There has been faults on communication for both of us.
I will also remind that the fur alone for this suit costs almost as much as the original price for this suit. I severely undercharged but I will NOT however, compromise product quality for a faster delivery only for it to arrive and fall apart. I also need the new DTD to continue work on it. I am paying out of pocket at least double in order to make this suit up to par on my current quality. I would like to know sooner rather than after I buy £500-£600 worth of fur if this suit is to be moved to the refund list.
SHINY HOUNDOUR
I kept a Shiny Houndour off my public list as I was under the understanding that they wanted it kept quiet. I did however list the original user account name this suit was commissioned under. As it stands Houndour is in the last position on this list. Currently the DTD I have is for a fullsuit and not a Quadsuit. They also know that they are last on the completion list. Despite this fur choices have been discussed for the suit change. I have also agreed to hold onto their DTD to send back to them when they send a Quadsuit DTD. I have actually been considering bumping them up on the list dude to not having a replacement DTD for Houndoom.
As I've not received any further emails I have assumed everything is understood.
VYPER/GWOLF
Is to receive 50% of the sale of the GWolf fullsuit premade. This was originally their suit but has since been made into a premade to fund the refund of their suit. The other 50% of the sale is to go towards buying furs for Houndoom. I am hoping the suit will sell enough to completely fund the furs of Houndoom though. Currently I only need to make the head but I have other work to and bills to pay before I can move back to unpaid work.

My refund list is subject to when I have money to spare after bills and such have been paid. As I am one person and suits are my only form of income this is not often. I'm lucky enough my mother is actually willing to let me work on suits in her house.
As you can all see I have been working on things. It is also widely known among the last 3 on my completion list that this is my only form of income and such, I need to make premades and such in order to pay bills AND fund their suits. I originally quoted prices that were unrealistic for building such suits. Living in the UK also means that my base material cost overreaches what I quoted and was paid at the time. I also refuse to put out shoddy and rushed work which would result in everyone being unhappy.
As far as I was aware (I have not been emailed or noted otherwise) everyone knew what was going on and how it was being handled. My email is kuraunocommissions[at]outlook.com in case you cant find it on my profile (It is there though). As I've said on numerous occasions, I won't know if something is wrong if you don't tell me.
if you are here to white-knight don't bother. There are two sides to every story. Bottom line is I've been working away thinking everything was fine without indication it wasn't. There are faults on both sides and I freely admit my faults. Flames and such WILL be deleted.
Now I'm going to try and at least get some sleep tonight.. its 5.30AM and I have Momo's bodysuit to work on today. As soon as Momo is done I have small parts to complete and then Bobcat's bodysuit.

Wedding Tomorrow! + starting regular weekends
Posted 9 years agoI'm going to be away tomorrow at a wedding! I have mentioned this before but D-Day now!
I will be mostly unreachable tomorrow! It is a wedding so it would be highly rude of me to be answering business emails during the ceremony and whatnot! There will be certain points I'll be able to get out and answer them but I can't promises anything tomorrow!
I will be back to the swing of things on Monday! I will likely have another mold for sale then too as I've had no response on the private offer yet (could change by Monday!).
In regards to weekends! I'm going to actually start regulating my weekends as 'off time'. I'll likely do something creative still HOWEVER they will be marked as weekends because I wont be doing customer work on them. I've learned from only having 1 day off and 12-24hr days in the run-up to confuzzled and subsequent burning out at the con (I had a fever day 3). I can't keep going at that pace. I know I have a lot of work to do but I just cant! Only times I'll break this is if I have a tight deadline or I get absorbed in a project.
Hopefully you can all understand this!

bunch of updates coming
Posted 9 years agogod so little time! got a bunch of updates coming (editing photos just now) and two base molds for sale. Surprise electric bill that is at least tripple what it normally is!
Add to all that my sewing machine is broken and my dremel died in the past month v.v got a wedding to go to on sunday too then back to the swing of things!
Proper journal maybe tomorrow, maybe monday! But no work/suit making is being done until AFTER the wedding. and I mean AFTER. I need the break no matter how much work I've still got to do! I even ended up breaking a fever at the con I was at >.> fellow dealers can attest that I never actually stopped working (furred a head at the con) in the den.
So yes I need a break.
But yes! Updates coming! I'll leave it a bit to do my Confuzzled rundown as well, no time!

Video Software Recommendations?
Posted 9 years agoAs some of you know I use Movie Maker! Yes I know, I know! Movie Maker! I can hear your shudders! o.o
I was wanting to know if anyone knew of any other Video Creation Software that is as simple to use as Movie Maker? This blasted program cost me 3hrs of time yesterday o.o crashed twice and I lost both files!
It needs to be light on the system too (hence why I also use Movie Maker too...) My Laptop is a beat up potato I should of replaced 3 years ago...
So yeah!

Tide Fursuit Stream - 4PM GMT 17/04/16

I'll post the stream link on the day when I start! It will be a 'when I rise till I fall' type thing! I'll be breaking for food too at some point. If I'm still working at 11pm then tell me off 'cause I'm ridiculous and will work till 2am...

Stream Delayed till tomorrow! Vet results
Posted 9 years agoVets didn't go so well x.x I got quite upset too, I'll be doing a wee bit of work later but only just calmed down.
Two of my ratus went downhill pretty fast with pneumonia. Vet gave them jags, I have medicine for them for the next 10 days and if there is no improvement the vet said it would be best to have them put down. She did say they could surprise me and bounce back! I know with such small creatures things can go downhill pretty fast. I'm hoping the daily meds doesn't stress them out too much, she also said that could make them go too >.>
She also said that 2 might just be their life expectancy too x.x Baldy(Alice) is fine, perfect health so thankfully no worries about her! I hope to got the others bounce back! I'm not able to get Baldy a friend in the even things don't turn out so well x.x
So yeah! Fingers crossed!

STREAM IS DELAYED! WILL STILL BE ON TODAY!
Posted 9 years agoManaged to get round to the vets to see if they would see my rats and thankfully said yup! I've got an appointment for 5PM GMT so will be leaving for it in just over an hour! I figured for the best I would stream after getting back! Hoping around 6/7pm!
I'm hoping its nothing too serious (like coming back with 1/no rats serious x.x) but I've a sinking feeling! The sister of the sick one (they are virtually identical >.>) has started displaying symptoms and I know their mother was a feeder rescue so its possible old age! The unrelated female seems to be perfectly fine so make me think its genetic! Knowing my luck I'll get there and find out I've been doing something completely wrong x.x

Taking tomorrow off + next stream!
Posted 9 years agoOver the past 8 days I have managed to churn out 75hrs 55mins of work o.o ( normal would be 56hrs over 8 days). I've positively burned myself out! So taking some 'me' time. I might make something, I might just vegetate!
I will be back to streaming the work on Mars on Friday 26th 3pm GMT (7AM PST/ 10AM EST) and will be continuing the furring process. I will be continuing the furring process of Mars then!

Going to try my hardest to complete the head!
I finished the wig today! Took a whooping 13hrs to make! And to think it's only a half wig!
Still to do:
Minor foaming
Pattern fur
Sew fur
Sew lining
Attach ears to hood
I think it's safe to say I'm going to run over the 7th day an onto the 8th! Though I did scrap the entire 1st days work o.o I also had the gluegun destruction and quest for a new one!
I've also pulled 60hrs and 55mins over the past 6 days.... It's a lot of work! I can safely say I'm not attempting speed challenges any time soon after this haha in utterly exhausted already o.o but I'm glad I've done this! It's certainly been a learning curve in some aspects!

Glue gun died! Going to town tomorrow, STILL STREAMING!
Posted 9 years agoSo my beautiful soldier died o.o well rather he oozed orange stuff, made a clink sound then stopped working.. I replaced the fuse but then it made a popping sound.. So uh dead gluegun! My furring plans were dashed so I started the wig instead o.o I recon I'm half done on sewing the wefts down. Still need to cut and style but that's the last thing!
So yeah! Taking a trip to town to get a new gluegun! My stepdad is very generously taking me in! Depending on if I can get one the challenge is still on. If I can't then it will be ordering one online and waiting for it to come :/ I hope it doesn't come to that!
