Possible streaming hitch
Posted 9 years agoOur broadband router KO'd just now! We've had to plug in the old one. In case I am not streaming tomorrow it means that we have had further issues with the router o.o I will still be powering through the partial!

STREAMING 3PM GMT - Day 3/7 Challenge - CASTING SPECIAL

TODAY I will be restarting the head for the 3rd time o.o I'm not happy with it at all and I know exactly how to fix it! I will also be finishing the hooves and making/sewing all the components for the head :)
SAFETY FIRST - I am working from my bedroom and do not have adequate safety gear. DO NOT do what I do. These chemicals can severely affect your health in the long run. Normally I work in a well ventilated area too but if you guys have been following my journals then you will know why I am not in my workshop. My stock of disposable respirators were also contaminated due to the workshop condition. I know full well the risks and safety procedures needed so lectures on this are not appreciated :P
If you guys have any questions while I'm casting then don't hesitate to ask :)

Workshop News + Fursuit Challenge + Livestream

Workshop - We are building a shed o.o
Fursuit challenge - I want to build a partial in a week. Proceeds will fund workshop build.
Livestream - I want to livestream the whole process! Hopefully technology agrees with me o.o
WORKSHOP
Sat down with Mom and discussed the options for my workshop area.
The attic is no longer suitable for me to work in. The roof needs too much work done to it so we have decided the best option is to build a workshop at the bottom of the garden.
This has a number of benefits! Most importantly it will be a smoke and pet free zone! So allergy people can benefit from this! I know there will still be a small amount of contaminant however it will be the lowest I can get it! All my materials can be quarentined away from everything. Currently I have everything in plastic boxes to protect them.
A small health benefit for myself is actually going outside! The only times I go physically outside is to post things and to visit family. So I guess this will get me my daily dose of fresh air! Mom is actually adamant about this one lol 'fresh air will do you the world of good'
The Plan:
We have a 8X6 shed already set aside for me to work in this coming summer, however there is not much room in an 8X6 shed! SO! We came up with the idea of getting another 8X6 shed and joining them together. Resulting design will create a roof storage area with a 12X8 area to work in. I'm only 5.1" so the current height of the sheds suits me perfectly.
We can insulate and make the sheds watertight far more easily than we can the roof. Its far easier to heat as well and we can run the mains to the bottom of the garden easily enough too. The added bonus of me being out the loft is we can get the specialist in to fix the roof.
If anyone has any advice/tips and tricks for me then don't hesitate to say! My stepdad and I are going to be the ones constructing the workshop, leveling the ground and base building o.o I'm going to be drawing the plans up in my spare time for it!
Keep in mind I am located in the UK as well (oh how I wish I had a wallmart!) so there are materials I might not be able to get o.o

This partial will be for sale once it is complete! I don't want to accept payment plans on it either because I am using the proceeds to fund the building of my new workshop. I'm hoping I can get the price I want for it meaning I can get the workshop set up in about 2/3 weeks and help this months bills mom is short on. Currently I'm building from my bedroom again >.> not practical at all!

LIVESTREAM
I am wanting to stream the entire building process of the partial above o.o I'm not positive if it will be fully possible or great quality but I still want to try! As per the challenge, it will be 7 full days of streaming! I will be breaking for dinner and lunch (probably a dozen tea trips too!) but it will be from about an hour after I wake till 10PM GMT at night. Roughly 12-8hrs a day.
I am also doing this to track my building progress, to see exactly how long it takes me and I guess its a sort of instructional for you guys!
I really need to learn to stop rambling on o.o ANYWAY! theres the news! you guys have it :)

FANTASTIC NEWS!!
Posted 9 years agoI'm actually so happy right now! Mom just came in and told me she went for a job interview today and she got it!! Naturally Mom is ecstatic too! She has been trying to get another one for aaaages! Stepdad hasn't had much luck in that department either and me and normal jobs are incompatible so I rely on my art.
SO HAPPY!
I will still be selling the adopts because every little helps! Its still urgent this month but next month will be a lot smoother!

Health + Workshop + Confuzzled2016 + Adopts
Posted 9 years agoFirst thanks to all the new watchers I have! I appreciate the support :)
TL;DR
Health- Diagnosed with chronic migraines and I have medicine with weird side effects. Still waiting on specialist appointment.
Workshop - The roof is buggered + needs fixed. Need to waterproof and insulate too. I'm a DIY master!(lol). Working from bedroom now!
Confuzzled2016 - I'm going on my own and selling shiz. Hopefully make fiends too! Also surprise roommate!!
Adopts - Mom had hours cut so I need to pick up earnings slack! Wonderful friend helped me out last month!
For those who want to read:
HEALTH
Still waiting on my appointment with the specialist!
When I'm back at the doctors I'm going to ask him how that's progressing. All throughout December I was having chronic migraines, so much so that I couldn't stand even the smallest bit of light. Every painkiller I tried wasn't working but I assumed they would just go away.
Then come new year I ended up having an acute attack that I honestly thought was a stroke but after an emergency appointment it turned out to be another freakish form of migraines :/ Thankfully I now have migraine medication from the doctor! They have really weird and kind of annoying side effects (racing heart, temperature goes up, tingly hands, pass out asleep followed by 2-3 days drousyness/feeling hungover) so I am going to see if my doctor can give me something else.
Aside from the side effects they seem to work? Its like the migraine is replaced with the side effects but I'm glad at least there is no freakish numbness or blades being rammed through my skull! I still have the usual constant headache but it feels lower than it did before so I think the pills are at least doing something positive. I still get the migraines too but its gone from daily to every week or so. Maybe I'll be able to get a new medicine without the side effects!
WORKSHOP
Effectively my workshop is not in a workable condition. The heavy rains these past few months have shown that the roof (I work in my Moms attic) is leaking virtually everywhere! There are about 5/6 major leak area's that I know of and one wall that is exposed outside that seeps down the whole side of the house. The wood of the roof is now constantly wet which means it is slowly rotting. There are things I can do to fix it however I don't have the money to do so.
Before any work is started on it I need the wood to dry out before I even start to insulate/waterproof it! I know what insulation method I am going to use (Yes I am doing it myself, I can barely afford the materials if I save but I definately can't afford a contractor). I need to wait for outside temperatures to rise before I can even start so this gives me at least time to acquire the materials. Thankfully I am a significantly better DIYer than I am baker! (Once made a desk I could dance on supported by one plank of wood and a single screw!)
Thankfully I have all my materials in suitable sealed containers! Everything that needs to be is protected (I'm glad I was cautious about that!).
What this means for building/making is I am now stuck making things out of my bedroom until things are fixed so its one project at a time now. I will still be able to dremel the plastics in the attic but everything else is being done in my main bedroom.
I'm actually considering opening a patreon to help get the workshop up to working condition again but I can't help but think it will be faster to go my own way with it.
I guess one positive that comes out of working from my bedroom is that I wont be cold!

I'm not sure if I am going to sell the Kemono Partial at my normal price (Would be £700) or offer it at a lower price discounted for a quick sale. Any opinions on this?
The full price would let me get the expanding foam system for inside the roof and let me waterproof inside but I'm not sure folks would be willing to pay that at a convention! Since I've never been to CFz before (only ever went to EF once years ago) I don't know what is a normal price for selling but I don't want to go so low that I'm just selling at material cost >.>

For the Month of May I will be soley working on CFz stock! I might make a banner for the table, I've never made one at previous stalls (didn't think they were needed) as the subject came up recently!
ADOPTS
I'm going to be releasing several adopts a month from now on.My mother had her hours cut at work so I need to pick up the slack on the other end.
UPDATE- My mom was able to get a second job today T^T Its fantastic news! I will still be doing the below because this month will still be very tight!
Narrowly escaped the end of January thanks to a wonderful and supportive friend! So this month I'll be putting out adopts to help cover the difference and help keep the house stable!
My Mother has been very gracious in housing me and allowing me to have my own workspace so its only natural that I want to give back some support to her!
I've got one design made so far that I've uploaded onto my twitter but I'll be uploading it here too later today!
These designs all have resale and fursuit rights for them! Meaning if you are a fursuit maker then you have permission to make a suit of the design and sell it! Wooo!
I will only consider taking on one of these designs as any sort of suit commission but only at a last resort. Things are phenomenally tight (contrary to the belief that I am rolling in it..) and I already have work to complete so outside of limited slots I do have I don't want to pile extra on. This is predominantly why I chose to make premades/claimed premade slots so its more controlled.
For the moment I won't consider making anything extra until after Confuzzled2016 as I have several deadlines for then and before. I am only one person after all and the only money I earn is from my suit work.
I'm debating on offering the designs with a Buy-It-Now and Auction or just having them for sale. I would normally sell an adopt for $75 which covers extra rights to the design. The one design I currently have up on my twitter is for $45! It does not have any fursuit rights for it yet. Does this seem too steep? or do you guys think that's an acceptable price?
The refs I mostly make are in mind for fursuit creation so 'human space' is already calculated into things. I will have a sheet of single view ferals for a cheaper price (Hellions, demon/hell cat thing) but I've also got Angel Dragon's (I followed DAD rules making them) ref style with two views so naturally they will cost more.

I'm not sure if I am going to sell the Kemono Partial at my normal price (Would be £700) or offer it at a lower price discounted for a quick sale. Any opinions on this?
The full price would let me get the expanding foam system for inside the roof and let me waterproof inside but I'm not sure folks would be willing to pay that at a convention! Since I've never been to CFz before (only ever went to EF once years ago) I don't know what is a normal price for selling but I don't want to go so low that I'm just selling at material cost >.>

For the Month of May I will be soley working on CFz stock! I might make a banner for the table, I've never made one at previous stalls (didn't think they were needed) as the subject came up recently!
ADOPTS
I'm going to be releasing several adopts a month from now on.
UPDATE- My mom was able to get a second job today T^T Its fantastic news! I will still be doing the below because this month will still be very tight!
Narrowly escaped the end of January thanks to a wonderful and supportive friend! So this month I'll be putting out adopts to help cover the difference and help keep the house stable!
My Mother has been very gracious in housing me and allowing me to have my own workspace so its only natural that I want to give back some support to her!
I've got one design made so far that I've uploaded onto my twitter but I'll be uploading it here too later today!
These designs all have resale and fursuit rights for them! Meaning if you are a fursuit maker then you have permission to make a suit of the design and sell it! Wooo!
I will only consider taking on one of these designs as any sort of suit commission but only at a last resort. Things are phenomenally tight (contrary to the belief that I am rolling in it..) and I already have work to complete so outside of limited slots I do have I don't want to pile extra on. This is predominantly why I chose to make premades/claimed premade slots so its more controlled.
For the moment I won't consider making anything extra until after Confuzzled2016 as I have several deadlines for then and before. I am only one person after all and the only money I earn is from my suit work.
I'm debating on offering the designs with a Buy-It-Now and Auction or just having them for sale. I would normally sell an adopt for $75 which covers extra rights to the design. The one design I currently have up on my twitter is for $45! It does not have any fursuit rights for it yet. Does this seem too steep? or do you guys think that's an acceptable price?
The refs I mostly make are in mind for fursuit creation so 'human space' is already calculated into things. I will have a sheet of single view ferals for a cheaper price (Hellions, demon/hell cat thing) but I've also got Angel Dragon's (I followed DAD rules making them) ref style with two views so naturally they will cost more.
OKAY! I've been typing too long now! Any questions then please ask bellow or send me a note! If you folks have an opinion on the questions I have above then don't hesitate to answer :)

Posted 10 years agoWeekly update done! At least I think its been weekly o.o Its really hard to keep track of time when this is pretty much all I do!
I was ill just after I came back from my grans, not fully back on my toes but I have the doctors tomorrow! So hopefully he will give me something and I will be on my merry way! I really dislike going, I don't particularly like the doctor I have either but there is not much I can do about that.
I'm glad its not raining anymore either! Beside the sea too so getting the first hit just now x.x it's worse where my mom and stepdad are (where I live) so we can't get in nor can they get out.

Posted 10 years agoEnded up with a nice birthday for a change, more relaxing than previous years and skipped the alcohol fully :) I managed to finish sculpting the head and feet of the doll
This months plan so far is to put out the premade Golden Wolf Fullsuit and the German Shepherd Partial! So far this is going to plan! GShep should be done tomorrow (I'm sewing the gloves just now and only need to paint the mouth :3)
I really hope they both sell well so I can get finished up on the houndoom quad! That would be nice! I've sort of given up on finding fur outside the UK (Darn you I'mStuffedFur for no longer shipping international! May your biscuit crumble in your tea! Nah that is a terrible thing to say... I wouldn't wish that on anybody o.o)
As far as the fullsuit goes, bodysuit is ready to airbrush, feet have been patterned, hands patterned too. I'll be starting the head this week as well. I'm waiting on eye plastic to arrive STILL which I need for this head and the Kemo bases...
OH! I managed to remold the Kemo mold on my birthday too! Got that out the way :)

Birthday Tomorrow! and kind of update?
Posted 10 years agoSo wooo its my birthday! I'll be working on some stuff for my table at Confuzzled2016 instead of my usual stuff :) It will be either an Art Doll or some scrap tails :) I may remold the Kemo fox tomorrow too, it will depend on how long things take :) Regardless of what I do I'll post a photo at the end of the night of what I have created :D

I've some deliveries to expect today too but also a trip to the skip! As anyone knows... fursuit makers are notorious hoarders.... "but I might use that minuscule scrap of foam or I can piece that paper together to make a pattern!' kinda mentality haha. Turns out in the 10 months I have been at my mothers house I have managed to amass 7 bin-sacks of 'useful crap' that honestly I have not used (and really its rubbish) so it has to go! I've not gone through my furs to see if there is useless scraps but as much as I would like to I cant. Its wrong o.o just no... fur scraps.. what scraps.. haha... lol so yeah! such hoarder, much mentality!
So YEAH! I might get some casting in today but I pretty much want to get the GShep head done! It should be for sale by next week and hopefully the week following will be the Golden Wolf.
Apologies if I don't answer emails/notes/comments and such tomorrow as I will be zoning out more than usual :) I will be 'turning off' pretty much everything and working through :D Celebrating my birthday with work does seem a bit sad haha but my mom is taking me to watch the fireworks display in the next town over on Saturday :)
My brother asked me what I wanted and I said 'Fur' lol. 'is there not anything special?' and I said 'gluten free lemon cheesecake', he sighed and was like 'anything not something normal?' to which I said 'convention registration ticket' lol. I essentially proved to my brother I am weeb-furry trash :D haha

PLEASE READ: Laptop possibly completely broken! + UPDATES
Posted 10 years agoAs you all know I've had issue upon issue with my laptop! The screen finally packed in this morning!
Unfortunately so did the rest of the laptop :/ I've been trying to fix it all day to no avail! Those on my social media sites will know this already.
As such update schedule on this site will be limited to when I can get on my brothers computer. Unfortunately it means I have no access to ANY of my digital work for the foreseeable future.
I have been dodging buying a new screen (£50) for some time and coming up with temporary fixes (taking advantage of a pressure point in order to have the circuit complete). I honestly don't have spare money to splash out on a new computer. Half of what my next two premades are going to refunds and the other half is due bills. So for at least 2 months I am stuck updating via my phone :/ this means FA/dA updating is pretty much impossible as I can only post journals! I can still use the Twitter and Facebook apps on my phone so thankfully I am not totally cut off!
Current status of the laptop is I can get it to finally turn on and log in but after that it instantly powers off. It's still a lot better from not turning on at all this afternoon. I am hoping that I will be able to get it working in the morning. I hope it just needs a bit of 'down time'. I'm leaving it charging overnight in the hope that that works but if I am honest I don't think it will have any effect :/
Ah this has not been a good month x.x nothing has gone to plan, the refurb project is eating up faaaar too much time as well :/ Percy passed away and yesterday I found out my cat Luci (staying at my sisters) has been missing for 4 days now x.x My stepdad also got laid off at the beginning of the month too! I suppose the positives of this month is actually being able to help my mom pay the gas and electric bills this month! I am eternally grateful for all she has done for me! I wouldn't be making stuff if it wasn't for her, I would still be stuck in limbo trying to support more than my means!
Apologies for the rant but yeah :/ hoping I can fix the laptop tomorrow! Otherwise I honestly don't know what I am gonna do x.x I may even have to open 1 fullsuit slot early with a larger deposit to get both a desktop and materials (I had not planned publicly opening until summer 2016).
Ugh! Very frustrating just now x.x I can still be reached on notes as well!
Update on Pre-Order- hoping to get them cast and packaged by Friday! Shipping payments can be made once they are ready to ship (separate shipping payments makes me happy :) )
Update on refurb premade- sewing up the face fur, tail is made and hands pattern has been drafted.
Update on houndoom- last of padding has been glued, needs shaping. I might need a new DTD as the current one is not holding up too well
I am considering a new approach to the head to make it lighter yet include all discussed features as I am having issues with the EVA foam construction. I might shorten the neck at a later point as well!
I really wish I'mStuffedFur's still shipped to the UK! They have the seal furs I originally wanted for this project! I might have to send them an email once I have the money for fur to see if they will because atm the furs I am looking at for a suitable quality will be £283(roughly $424.50) without shipping. UK furs are expensive x.x I shall revisit that when I come to it!

PLEASE READ - Stream CANCELLED
Posted 10 years agoI had planned to stream tomorrow the last of the molding process however I'm putting it on hold.
My beautiful ball python Percy has passed away. We will be burying him tomorrow (hopefully at my grandmas).
He was recovering from a burn he got when his heat mat malfunctioned (I don't trust those things anymore) but sadly he lost the battle. I knew in my head it was something that would be difficult to recover from, however I had faith. I didn't expect to be this upset about him but in a way it is frustrating and heartbreaking. He looked like he was healing and improving daily.
He is up in his snakus heaven now, chasing all the wee mice!
I will still be recording the molding process however no stream. I'm not in any form to be chatting right now. I know some folks might say he was 'just a snake' but for the year and a half that I knew him he was a beautiful and precious part of my family.
Ok I am going to read for a bit and sleep. My head hurts from crying x.x

My beautiful ball python Percy has passed away. We will be burying him tomorrow (hopefully at my grandmas).
He was recovering from a burn he got when his heat mat malfunctioned (I don't trust those things anymore) but sadly he lost the battle. I knew in my head it was something that would be difficult to recover from, however I had faith. I didn't expect to be this upset about him but in a way it is frustrating and heartbreaking. He looked like he was healing and improving daily.
He is up in his snakus heaven now, chasing all the wee mice!
I will still be recording the molding process however no stream. I'm not in any form to be chatting right now. I know some folks might say he was 'just a snake' but for the year and a half that I knew him he was a beautiful and precious part of my family.
Ok I am going to read for a bit and sleep. My head hurts from crying x.x

Molding Kitsune (Kemono Fox) Base Tomorrow!

I am planning on recording the process as a timelapse with the webcam my Stepdad got me. That is to say if I can get the thing working!
I don't think my laptop can handle recording and streaming at the same time... well I know it can't! If I am able to get it to cooperate then I'll be doing a wee stream of that.
-I make no promises on streaming! Hence why I am not saying a time as it might not happen!
The molding is a 2 day process for me so I will record both. The resulting video will be up on my youtube channel - https://www.youtube.com/user/naokishi - next week :)
I already have a molding video up of my current Wolf base (I badly need to update this!) but it doesn't really show the whole thing so I figure I would take the chance to update that!
So yup :)

ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING UPDATES
Posted 10 years agoI have decided that I am going to update dumps weekly/bi-weekly on FA! There will probably be submissions every few days however at most the longest gap should be about 2 weeks!
If I want to keep the speed I have been going at without getting run down (it takes a good couple hours to compile photos, edit them and such! ).
I will however be updating almost daily to both my Facebook and Twitter! All updates are published there first! Please follow me on those accounts to receive frequent 'I'm alive and this is what shizzle am doing' updates. You can see day by day what I am working on there!
If you have any concerns regarding commissions as such my email is kuraunocommissions@outlook.com
(as listed on my profile, I'm not sure if folks actually read it >.>) I prefer emails over notes as they go direct to my phone!
I do however, check FA daily!
I have updates coming later tonight so keep an eye out for them!
