Update coming tonight/1st thing Monday
General | Posted 13 years agoIT FINALLY A SUNNY DAY!! :3 This means I am able to get outside and dremel the heck out of the resin blank casts I have :3 WOOOO~
Its been rain (or going to my job) for such a long time that its been unsuitable to work with x.x I don't have a workroom yet either so it makes things like this a pain because I lack indoor work-space v.v a dremel box will come soon (seeing as winter setting in fast - even though it is sunny today its bloomin' cold! I can still the washing out too!!)
If tomorrows weather is decent too I am singing and dancing!
Now I just need Dad to return the clippers he borrowed...
Anyway! updates late tonight (or first thing Monday if I don't get carried away lol) I am hoping to get most of Vyper's bodysuit sewn, 3 masks dremeled and cut (two with eyes and teeth installed, those are already hinged too :3). Anything else i.e. castings, is a bonus above that (do need to cast eyes and teeth at some point too) I do need to make paw pad molds too *dies*
But yeh that's the dealio :3 now I am off for breakfast and to stick washing on before I go out and attack these masks! (hoping to avoid injury... Dad usually sets it up for me lol x.x)

SO!
Personal life took a turn for the worse today :/ I was very happy this morning, raring to go!! Had my dancing and sing badly session, bright early start to the day! Was fantastic!! I danced so much now my hips and lower back ache! *goes back to laying down x.x*
Then Dad came home and threw everything all to hell :/ Suffice to say I crashed hard and all the work I was intending to do did not get done (finish the wolf sculpt and make it mold ready, get some art done). I have spent the time since he left trying to cheer myself up from the shiz he engulfed me in. Its times like this I wish I had not moved back to the village. Rest assured when the time comes I will be moving back to the city as fast as I can!!
I probably won’t even enjoy the meal I worked hard on today :/
I’ll try not to post as much about my personal life as I can but this evening has been very hard, I have spend the last few hours picking myself up again. Emotional coaster is making me sooooo sleepy x.x

Wolf Sculpt as you can see in my gallery is in progress, now planning to have it mold ready tomorrow!! I need to run some errands first but when I get back I plan on attacking that mother!! *revving self up* If any of you want to crit it so far you are more than welcome to :3
This brings me onto the old molds!
I am selling the old molds!! I say ‘molds’ because it is not just the resin blank mold but also the hinge mold and the old 3D follow-me eye molds!! Basically a starter kit of molds, all you need is the resin!!
I am selling them for $200 (as a bundle) I factored in shipping for the US/UK already so you won’t need to pay that (if you live anywhere else other that US/UK please say so I can check the amount I have factored for shipping costs is in fact included!! You may need to pay a little more). If your wandering ‘hey.. UK is cheaper to ship to... you live there..... :O’ well its because I will get the actual cost it took for me to make the molds! Because I know how shipping can be mean overseas the cost is down slightly, everyone is happy :3
I take payment via PayPal (if you are in UK I can accept a direct bank transfer also!)

Rust Seal fur also coming from Monoyasha for Houndoom quadsuit!! I'm sure it wont be enough but if the fur is satisfactory I know where I can get more of the same fur :3 at any rate the amount will certainly do the head :3 (waiting on down-payment for that)
hmmm... what else... OH! Sourced a Rottie jawset for Houndoom : DDDD AWESOME find! :3 also found very nice big cat jawset's for Griever :D
Going through fur options for Vyper and waiting on samples!! MM Fox for it has arrived but I need to order more!!

Right now I am tidying up the house and my room a bit... will gut my room x.x I cant move for boxes and if I am going to be molding I need to create a mold corner again!

Thoughts on Kyubimon
General | Posted 13 years agoI have been thinking about Kyubimon these past few weeks a lot.... I will complete him! Don't worry about that!!
Its just... I hate to say it but despite going through all the money and time (about 2 months and a good few hundred £ at least) I just don't seem to have an affinity for the costume no longer... I still love the character, don't get me wrong but I feel that having build it as my end of year project at college (I passed woo!) that it has taken the fun out of it :/
Maybe I will feel different when he is fully complete... I will definitely be doing an overhaul on it! there is a lot I don't like and KNOW can be improved, I may even start over again :O (I have not been satisfied with the DF fur
Maybe this is the last hurdle to kick down, I don't know.. Hell I have wanted a Kyubimon costume for YEARS. Ever since I discovered quads and fursuit it was like 'YES! finally I can BE what I draw, no costume is out of reach!'
I feel this is a tipping point for this suit, I half think of just selling it and starting on a 'Kurauno' but I will stick though and get him finished.
I don't even see myself wearing him to a convention at all, I don't think he will even get use past tests. This is certainly not something I wanted for this character.
He is different from link.. Though I didn't hold much for Link as a character, I enjoyed his design. I felt accomplished when I finished him. HELL I even cried watching the completion video, proud of what I had made, the hills I climbed and the 6 months it took to breathe life into him. I don't get this feeling with Kyubimon's suit at all :/
I sold link not only because I needed the money but also I knew for sure that despite my love for the suit I would never use him again (serious thanks to
sharpe19 for picking him up!!)
At the moment Kyubimon is stuffed into my cupboard, his stilts are out so I can regularly practice (I haven't given up :3).
It looks more than likely I will sell him upon completion, the love/passion seems to have passed :( I feel indifferent to him now.
I do love the overwhelming support I have received along the build, far greater than when I built Link, for that I am thankful and very grateful!
I hope I wont disappoint when Kyubimon is finally done! I'll pull out my best for this beast, he will be done but yeh, like I said above. He may not be mine for long...

Phelan is COMPLETE but....

General | Posted 13 years agoJust need to airbrush and make claw molds then sew and glue the claws on :3 debating on shaving the fingers or not....
Foam should be here tomorrow, I have two heads (Husky and Phelan) to foam. Phelan's eyes are curing atm (on the 8th set of eyes because I needed to find the right ratio - I know its 3% but I no longer have access to scales so experiment!)
On a side note I have been experimenting with colouring the clear resin for teeth! I have some snazzy results :3 I'll be using the latest set in the Husky Partial as Phelan already has a painted jawset (that took two whole days of paint a little then dry, paint a little then dry). The results of the colouring gives a nice teeth colour which is semi transparent :3 I love it! After the cure I will dremel and paint the gums :3 - hopefully tomorrow :D

General | Posted 13 years agoIts 4.32am.... and I am still sewing these blasted things! Not only did I pick a ridiculous design for them... 3 colours consisting of 23 sections on each hand paw to sew... including the paw pads.... *rage*
Its my first pair of hand paws v.v they are proving more tedious that the husky tail which though it took 6 hours to make with 17 sections... its a hell of a lot easier! lol :3 and I am still on hand one! forgot when I started... about 10-11? *dies* I suppose if it was just one colour paws I would be done by now.... I am damning those 23 sections now :/ not to mention I have to airbrush the blighters too! and make claws....
I don't think I will ever offer hand paws on their own.... I can see myself drowning in fur and never emerging again... lol
I'll post the hand paw results tomorrow night :3These are for the Husky partial btw :3 because there is no way they will be done soon D: I do have a 3.5hr transport allocation tomorrow though :3 I can probs make a huge dent in that second paw :3

I do do payments plans too. ATM its is 1st payment 50% (non-refundable for materials), then 2/3 payments weekly/biweekly/monthly and then a final shipping payment.
Price list
Quadsuits start at £2500+
Kemono suits start at £2000+
Fullsuits start at £1800+
Bodysuit only start at £800+
Partials start at £1050+
Fursuit Heads start at £550+
Tails start at £100+
These are just basic prices (they do however include moving jaw, following eyes, basic airbrushing and 2 colours with simple markings and simple patterns) and it can easily go up after assessment of materials and such (extras like electronics - fans and LED eyes I will have to order in).
Fursuit heads are resin-based- I am working more towards realism as its what I am more comfortable with - Quad heads are foam based on bmx helmet.

General | Posted 14 years agoMy friend is lending me his violin :3 I FINALLY get to learn it!!! I have wanted to learn this since I was in primary school :D I have been flying high all day XD I cant wait to start :3 my first performance will be short, entitled 'dying cats' XD one day I hope to ranimate the cats and make them sing beautifully! X3 ah well :3 I shall practice hard!
On the note of cats, my Cat lucifur! As you know I am taking commisions to help pay for vet bills for her, this treatment is on-going and unfortunately will be for the rest of her life V.V news at the moment from my day is that she is doing well so far (which is a great ease on my mind, I cant wait for the day I take her to live with me in glasgow) She is going back to see the vet again soon (for regular checkup) but she is eating good and fighting strong! I am proud of her :3
Commissions are still open to help her :3 the money literally goes into the kitty (lol bad pun)
I'm hoping to upload masses of mannly men soon (courtesy of Gockt's persuasion XD) so watch out for more Tea and Coffee along with thier showdown!

As you know I am taking commisions to help pay for vet bills for her, this treatment is on-going and unfortunately will be for the rest of her life V.V news at the moment from my day is that she is doing well so far (which is a great ease on my mind, I cant wait for the day I take her to live with me in glasgow) She is going back to see the vet again soon (for regular checkup) but she is eating good and fighting strong! I am proud of her :3
Commissions are still open to help her :3 the money literally goes into the kitty (lol bad pun)
I'm hoping to upload masses of mannly men soon (courtesy of Gockt's persuasion XD) so watch out for more Tea and Coffee along with thier showdown!

General | Posted 14 years agoOK! So, I am taking commissions to help me pay for my cats vet bill again. She needs to see the vet about her teeth/gums and get medicine and possibly a few extractions. My goal is £100/$159.5 (I’m in the UK) because she needs two consultations, one to establish the damage and the other to descale and if needed extractions.

I'm going to Eurofurence 2012 - if it runs - in a quadsuit providing the cost of getting it to germany aint extortionate. Also :3 I'm learning german :D the con has given me a perfect excuse to X3
Learning to use my left arm - posting lefty drawings in scaps because quite frankly I'm crap at lefty atm :D
Its all because I have had bad arm pains in my drawing arm for about 3 years now (possible CTS but really hope not, need to see a docter about it... at least I know its not MS lol)
