Today's topic is:
Seeing some really great characters {preferably kemonomimis} that are a fucking CLOSED SPECIES .
May I ask how someone is going to claim they own a specific kind of kemonomimi? I mean those kemonomimis you look at that are really fucking cute and something like a cat, bunny, or dog, but then you go and see the price then see what most people dread:
"SO AND SO IS A CLOSED SPECIES. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE YOUR OWN."
What the fuck?
How the hell are you going to claim you own a specific type of kemonomimi simply because you put that one tiny detail into a character you create then just slap a closed species label on it to be with the "cool kids" who seem to be wanting one too? People will do what they want, but it really ruins the aspect of a character and what someone is wanting to buy if you place such a label on something that does not need one. I would understand that maybe the character had something [/b]extremely[/b] distinctive and you can't necessarily tell if it's another animal you know or not.
Sigh, it just really bugs me when I see a kemonomimi that I like, can use with my other kemonos and want to save my money up for, only to find out it's some species...
I'm sure a lot of you dislike this closed species fad. It's destroying character adoption, it's making it harder for other artists to make a living if they are not popular or have a cool ass species of their own. It is just...I honestly wish this shit would stop.

Posted 11 years ago So, my tablet works fine out of sai, but as soon as I try to use my tablet in Sai, nothing is working??
It's like all movement stopped and I can't move it again unless I move my cursor with the pad and I'm scared that something may be wrong with my tablet that it isn't responding to sai.
Does anything know what to do?

Posted 11 years agoI got a capture card for Christmas so I'm very excited to try it out! I've been wanting to make Youtube videos for a while now and now I finally get the chance to and it's quite exciting!
The thing is, I'm unsure of what to make my banner because I've never done this before or even a definite YT name that'll stick for me! And with this, you'll be able to hear what I sound like and how I react to certain things in games.
I have old games though, like Prototype and Darkness 2, so would that be okay? I don't know ;w;

My day hasn't been the best for reasons and the fact I'll be much slower with art isn't helping either. Have you gotten so frustrated with art that you slam your fists against something? I was stupid enough to slam my fist against my table with my laptop on it and my fist kinda hit it. luckily it didn't break, but it tore some skin off my pinky's knuckle so now it really hurts to move it and it's on the hand I hold my pen with it too ;; OTL
I am so duMb.

Posted 11 years agoHate me, love me, unwatch me, do whatever, but I'm going to say this now.
ALSO This is not me bashing on any artists.
I'm sure all of you know what a closed species and have seen and all the ones floating about on the internet and quite frankly, they annoy the hell out of me. You have no idea how many goddamn closed species I have seen in my inbox or even just by looking at others pages. I'll admit, some look pretty amazing, but honestly...Most closed "species" shouldn't even be closed or even considered such. There are some I have seen that just look like someone was trying to make a unique character for themselves, but then just slapped some sort of creature on it and placed some info as well as some name.
It's fucking ridiculous.
I've even seen people trying to claim simplistic animals with a whole bunch of color and some fancy parts as well as adjustments here and there and it's just...No, please stop.
I bet you're gonna wonder why I don't just unwatch them right? I don't do that because I actually like the art they post and seeing these species kind of....Turn me off in a way, but I'm not gonna do it.
I'm honestly just getting tired of all of these and wish people would stop trying to fit in with their friends with the oh so wonderful species they have or at least try to be original.
