I'm still waiting on a few that expressed interest to give me their details, but I have room for more still. It doesn't have to be an exchange, but if you want to send one as well, I'd be more than happy to have it go both ways. it warms my heart that I've had a few people inspired to make this an annual furry tradition.

Posted 2 months agoHowdy folks. It's nearly that time of year again so it's time to start planning my Christmas card mailing lists. If any friends/mutuals would be interested in being on my list this year, please hit me up!
You don't need to exchange anything in return, it's just a fun annual tradition I like to keep going despite how big it's become each year.

It's not my favorite con, but it's a relatively cheap con to get to from Seattle and fills the void of a fall con and I have enough PTO to justify it. My room isn't 100% settled yet, but I'll be there regardless.
If you will be there and are interested in a photoshoot, I am also open for photos at the con. My rates are starting at $150/hr of photos.

VF, Fursuit Photos, Sheath Church, and Life in General

Next on the list is my photography. I've been getting the hang of my new camera (R6 MKii). BLFC went pretty good and I got to put it to work at both ANW and I popped in briefly to When Furballs strike last month. Due to a last minute cancellation, I have some time free for VF for a paid photoshoot, so if you'd be interested in having some fursuit photos, feel free to hit me up. My rates are $150/hour on the floor and you can find examples of my photos over on my Furtack. I'll also be offering more slots coming up at FWA and AC since those cons will be a little larger.
Then comes Sheath Church. For shits and giggles last year I scooped up a few fun joke domains. Most of them I am letting expire, but given that Bluesky lets you set custom handles I decided to have some fun. As an enjoyer of sheathes and spreading their love around, I have taken the http://sheath.church domain and started offering it out to people that want to ditch their generic bsky.social handle for something more fun. If you'd want a sheath church handle, feel free to hit me up here or on bsky so I can get the info I need to add to the DNS so you can verify your handle. Some examples can be found over at https://bsky.app/profile/kurrikage....../3lhrxhkapuc2q In the event bsky ever offers locked accounts (I am very doubtful this will ever happen), my plan was to use the domain for my AD locked account, but it's nice to have some fun with it in the meantime and people are enjoying it.
As for life... well I'm surviving the best i can. The world is understandably a lot right now and it's hard to stay motivated. The things that have been going on in my country are truly disgusting and I feel terrible for those both internationally and domestically that are affected. It's gonna get worse before it gets better, but we have to stand together as a community to weather this storm. Stay safe y'all. I hope we all make it. 💜

I haven't decided if I want to try and take a couple paid photoshoots or not. I'm still not really super confident in my photography. At least guaranteeing I can deliver that is. If you'd be interested in that maybe give me a poke. My gallery can be found here.

Even the heat waves have been kinda just what I was used to in Ohio.
Hoping to get back into VR a bit once I get a few things put away in my new space. And since I'm on the west coast, my bed time isn't quite so early compared to literally everyone I know haha. It's also nice to have easy access to some edibles 👀
And lastly I am starting up my annual holiday card lists. I've been doing these for the past couple years and honestly I love it. It feels so nice to give friends a nice little surprise. If we're friends/mutuals and you wanna be on my mailing list this year hit me up!

Moving West, Seattle Roommates? And Anthrocon!
Posted 3 years agoHey, y'all! So I've kinda been wanted to do this since I was younger, even before I was a furry. And I finally feel like I'm in a comfortable space with my savings and working remotely to finally make it happen. My hopes are to make the move out west to the Seattle area later this summer. I know so many people out there now, and the weather is just so much milder than here in Ohio (AND SO MUCH LESS RED).
I had some tentative housing plans, but unfortunately, those fell through so I'm in an odd predicament. My lease expires here at the end of august, and thankfully I can take my lease month to month if absolutely necessary. So if you know any peeps looking for roommates in the near future (not too near I cant move immediately) around late July or August in the area let me know! Ideally, I'd love to work things out with someone I know or at least someone that can be vouched for. I had some tentative housing plans, but unfortunately, those fell through so I'm in an odd predicament. My lease expires here at the end of august, and thankfully I can take my lease month to month if absolutely necessary. So if you know any peeps looking for roommates in the near future (not too near I cant move immediately) around late July or August in the area let me know! Ideally, I'd love to work things out with someone I know or at least someone that can be vouched for. Posted 3 years agoHello everyone! It's been a little bit since the last journal so I felt like making a small update. I'm very much looking forward to getting back to cons and seeing y'all again. Hoping this year will be the year. I've got FWA and AC planned. Though I am basing that on the assumption we continue to come down off this COVID case spike. But things could change, maybe we get a new variant, and cases start to rise again.
I've also made a Telegram channel to cross-post art and updates to. I acknowledge that FA is not the best site out there, but it's the best we got. Not technically speaking, but FA killers tend to come out and crumble under themselves before the userbase hits a critical mass to make it more useful than here. I also post on Twitter but Twitter is NOT an art gallery and is hard as hell to look up old things. Plus even if you follow people the algorithm still decides to not show you tweets from people you follow. So for those that don't like FA or if you don't check it super often and would like someplace that you already use often to catch new posts where it's really easy to hit the share with other friends/groups I made a little channel I will be posting in as well.
So if that sounds like something you'd want on your telegram, feel free to pop in. It is not a group, so no need to worry about keeping up with people talking or DMing you on the side from it.

Staying safe, got my shots, living as best I can. It sucks. I can't wait to be able to see people safely again. Post FWA and Spring Plans

Been back from the con for a hot minute. I gotta say, having done BLFC last year and FWA this year, I gotta give it to FWA. The venue is great. The hotel is massive and meant to host Dragoncon at 80k attendees. On the off chance we would ever fill the hotel, there's 5 more connected via a sky bridge that only crosses the street on every side. None of those 10-minute MFF sky bridges. The hotel itself is GORGEOUS. The con goes way over the top with their themes. Literally, everything was decked out in the pirate theme. But honestly, the most amazing thing was the food court just across the street via sky bridge. Only AC comes close for food options, but these are self-contained and you never need to go outside. It's nice to be able to eat something different and cheap for every meal of a con.
The only downside to the con was the bulk of the people I talk to regularly ended up going to BLFC since it was the weekend after. Normally this would mean I'd chill with my roommate when people were tied up, but them being on staff, meant I barely got to see them either. So this was my first con volunteering, and if you got a poster, there's a high chance I touched some part of it at some point this con. But overall it was a blast and will definitely return. Just hopefully more peeps I know better will be attending.
In a couple of weeks, I'll be taking another brief vacation. I'll be flying out to Vancouver again to visit sparkfloof Spending nearly a week in Canada this time and enjoying the west coast. I'm looking forward to getting away from work again. Speaking of, work hasn't been great lately. I'm actively looking for a new job at this point. The company doesn't give a shit about me and continually shovels issues onto me and my team in the interest of profits. No matter how many issues I resolve, there's going to be someone on our support team to tell a client how to do something incorrectly or some system issue that fucks things up anyway. Every time we pull our heads out of the water to breathe, management sees that we are capable of doing work and adds more responsibilities to our plate from other teams that do nothing and don't know shit. And they dunk us back under the waves. Hoping to find something after AC to start.
Then comes Anthrocon in a few weeks. I'm looking forward to AC as always. Its a big con with lots to do and so many friends to see! I'm looking forward to suiting more and getting drunk. I've started up the Macro/Micro Telegram chat for AC so if you are attending and would like an invite, just let me know! I'll get a formal con meme back out closer to the con.
Anyway, I hope y'all have been hanging in there. I miss you guys. I know I've gotten a bit reclusive with all the overtime this year so far and I'm hoping to shake that with a new job and be more social again. Feel free to hit me up as always though!

So this was my first con volunteering, and if you got a poster, there's a high chance I touched some part of it at some point this con. But overall it was a blast and will definitely return. Just hopefully more peeps I know better will be attending.
In a couple of weeks, I'll be taking another brief vacation. I'll be flying out to Vancouver again to visit
sparkfloof Spending nearly a week in Canada this time and enjoying the west coast. I'm looking forward to getting away from work again. Speaking of, work hasn't been great lately. I'm actively looking for a new job at this point. The company doesn't give a shit about me and continually shovels issues onto me and my team in the interest of profits. No matter how many issues I resolve, there's going to be someone on our support team to tell a client how to do something incorrectly or some system issue that fucks things up anyway. Every time we pull our heads out of the water to breathe, management sees that we are capable of doing work and adds more responsibilities to our plate from other teams that do nothing and don't know shit. And they dunk us back under the waves. Hoping to find something after AC to start.Then comes Anthrocon in a few weeks. I'm looking forward to AC as always. Its a big con with lots to do and so many friends to see! I'm looking forward to suiting more and getting drunk. I've started up the Macro/Micro Telegram chat for AC so if you are attending and would like an invite, just let me know! I'll get a formal con meme back out closer to the con.
Anyway, I hope y'all have been hanging in there. I miss you guys. I know I've gotten a bit reclusive with all the overtime this year so far and I'm hoping to shake that with a new job and be more social again. Feel free to hit me up as always though!
