Mostly because I've been slacking off on my main series. Want to focus 100% on finishing Back to the Stars and getting  raddaraem and  meisterli stories up. Haven't forgotten about the requests taken last week, but will hold off on them till I clear some of this back log.

Just not feeling it tonight but it does open the door to something I've wanted to do a little afternoon delight stream. Maybe open it to some of my friends on the other side of the pond, well probably not, but hey if you haven't been able to make friday this might be a chance for you to get a request in.

The room serves as a good place to recommend your favorite stories, chat about latest updates from your favorite authors, get help crafting your own works whether it be brainstorming or getting editing help.

I really think it's a cool idea and hopefully one that can last.

Well the Blitz fell short, but it wasn't because of a lack of productivity so I can live with that, also 'Tis the Season' turned out to be far longer than intended. Now some resolutions!

1: Finish CAS and Back to the stars and look into making edited and complete versions of both.

2: A similar note work on archive project for finished stories like Frontlines, Center Stage, Back Stage, and things unposted like Road to Recovery.

3: Do more one shots this year.

4: Stabilize productivity, 2 stories a month should be the minimum.

5: Give a serious look at continuing a story that shall not be named.

1 down 5 to go, Tis the Season (massive one shot) is in  incongruency 's hands now, poor bastard I ask a lot from him. Back to stars 8 hit 2000+ words, but still not quite done, otherwise we're mostly dealing with a blank slate.

So in other words I'm way behind! So perfect time for another drunken stream, likely this friday night! I'll still be taking live requests but primarily we'll be looking to finish/kick start a few on the Blitz list, and maybe finish off previous requests by.  meisterli  ravagefox and  luchalibrelibro

This time of year it's easy to start slacking off, maybe have some egg nog and just relax till new year. So I decided to give myself some motivation and publicly state a rather laughable goal and do my damnedest to meet it.

Very productive evening, thanks to everyone who showed up. Sadly nothing got finished but a lot of work was put in.

In total about 7 pages and 2,880 words in 4 hours of work in four different stories for  meister_li  ravagefox  LuchaLibreLibro and  makaze hope they liked them.

Next one will probably be sometime during Christmas break.

Thanksgiving's a great time for family, food, and a fantastic reason to get hammered, so with a four day weekend coming up seems like a great time for another one of these.

Focus will be initially on  meister_li and the story we started last stream, from there I'll open it up to all requests! Could be just about anything, drunken me does not judge, but do be careful what you wish for ;3.

Anyone who's read my stuff can probably guess my biggest weakness, well aside from update schedule. What I really need is someone who wouldn't mind giving my work a look over prior to me posting anything. I've had a few editors in the past but never anyone consistent.

So if you have the time I'd consider it a huge favor going forward.

It's not something I'd do every weekend, but it's hard to deny that is was a very productive and fun night.

For those who weren't there  meister_li was probably the big winner, with the 'story that shall not be named' getting the second most love.

Definitely will have to do this again sometime.

Something completely new for me, but hey it's my birthday, got the day off tomorrow might as well try something fun.

Thinking about running a stream, with the standard Kusa twist (read: drunk off my ass), but looking for advice from other writers who have done livestreams before. Any suggestions how to run one?

Kind of a random topic but I want to know if other writers feel the same. Do you ever feel hampered by excellent works others have done? I found myself thinking this as I was working on a couple drabble short story projects. I realized I had the macro and micro meet online, and instantly went, this has been done to death… Now I still liked the core of the story, but I delayed myself, trying to come up with some absurd contrivance to work this out instead of doing the simple thing and rolling with it because others have done it so well in the past.

So I ask, have you ever had an idea that you held off, felt the need to tweak, or flat out abandoned because you felt it was too similar to something else?

Not much of one but since I had been on a steak of late, thought I should at least mention it. I won't bore you with the details as I usually leave my personal life and internet life completely separate, but I had a death in the family so focusing on anything has been too hard as of late. I think I'm coming out of it, but coming to terms, and being able to write are two separate things.
