So instead of making one of those "HOLY SHIT FA IS DOWN EVERYBODY PANIC" Journals, i'd thought i'd post a review of a new indie game i purchesed on steam.



The game is like this: A fun mix between Geometry wars, space invaders and Audiosurf.

The plot of the game is that your music collection is beingcaptured and coruppted by some evil unknown entity and it is your duty to go in and stop it.

now there are some songs made by the creators of the game but i have yet to find them since the main focus here is freeing YOUR music.

here's how gameplay works.

you select the song from you music library and you are sent onto a small watter highway with your ship. enemies will enter from the sides or top of your music during almost every kick or snare that is played in the song (or from what ive seen since i listen to a lot of house an dubstep) and your job is to destroy them. now you do have infinate lives, but that dosnt mean you can't die. for every enemy that shoots or runs into you. you loose a part of your ship. Your ship can be repaired if you collect what's known as "insperation points" Insperation points or IP as i call them are these little yellow music notes (or green depending on how intense your music is during gameplay) are dropped by vanquished enemies. they also help you buy weapon upgrades and new blasters.

now during a few songs the entitie will pull you asside and introduce one of his 5 deamons that he controlls which are composers of the music you own. their souls have been curshed and they do his bidding. you must defeat these demons at least 3 times before they are freed and you recive a peice of the "symphony of souls". every time you complete a page you earn a chance to play at a harder difficulty. the higher the difficulty the more insperation you can earn and you will have a higher chance at getting rare items for your ship.

the soundtrack here really dosn't need to be said here. it's a music game that allows you to use your current music collection. now how this affects gameplay is this. The more agressive your music. the more agressive your enemies. if you want to play on the hardest difficulty but not have agressive enemies. play soft music. if you want balls to the walls action. play death metal.

overall this game is a fun little try out. its 10 dollars usd on steam and has had me hooke for the past few days while fa was down. i suggest you give this game a try!

So last night my friends,  mixnmatch  voiceoftheblue and my mate  scruff_the_sage went to go see the re make of Total recall.

So once again like my other reviews let’s start with previews
Paranormal activity 4.
I’m a huge skeptic on this series so this didn’t surprise me that a fourth movie would be made just to keep making money of the so called “reality horror” genre. And if anything this one is kind of sponsored by Skype.
Taken 2………WORST TITLE EVER I’m sure the movie will be just as good as taken 1 but why call it that?
It has so many premises for a better title, like “retaken” or “Taken again” or hell you can go with “recaptured” that’s stretching it abit but it still fits! Taken 2 is just….fucking lazy!
The odd life of Tommy green…..it’s a Disney story of 2 adults who can’t have kids. So they write up what they want their child to be like, burry it in their garden and the next day BAM! 10 YEAR OLD CHILD THAT IS BORN FROM THE EARTH! I got a better title for this CABBAGE PATCH KIDS THE MOVIE!
007: Skyfall. It’s about time we got a new bond movie. And this one seems pretty damn interesting. Not much is known except 007 was to be killed and for some reason M is now targeted, M16 headquarters got blown the fuck up and bond is on a mission to find out who done it.
And finally
The man with the iron fist. This is what I like to call “hip hop Fu” movies when a good martial arts film is produced and directed by a hip hop artist, this one by the RZA from the wu-tang clan (wu tang clan aint nothin to fuck wit) it seems that they have a mixed Asian multi raced Kumite going on. Can’t wait for it.

And now to the movie
For those who don’t know it Total recall was a short story called “we can remember it for you” which was based about the exploits of a futuristic company that could implant memories into your head of what you wanted to be. Schwarzenegger had a shot of it and well……we got 3 titted mutants and gudo.
The remake however is sleeker
First off, the movie isn’t on mars (big shock) it’s on earth after years of chemical warfare most of the earth is uninhabitable except for parts of Europe now known as the International British alliance and Australia, now known as “The colony” basically where all the poor minorities live (and I’m not joking.)
The story follows our hero Doug. A man who works in a factory to make synthetic law enforcement bots for the IBA and yes you can make all the Robocop and IRobot jokes you want here. Because it’s kind of a mix between the two. For some reason there’s this political issue where people who commit bombings known as “the resistance” blame the main mode of transportation between the two only habitable lands known as “the fall” which goes from either side THROUGH THE CENTER OF THE EARTH and out the other side. They believe that it’s causing oppression both economically and politically. One day Doug sees an ad for the Rekall lounge and decides to go in. that’s when all hell breaks loose and that’s all you’re getting from me on the story.
Now presentation wise this movie looks FANOMINAL!
Everything here was crafted with so much effort and creativity to give the remake a feel of its own! The city’s look almost theseable due to living conditions on both the colony’s and the IBA’s side, cg is smooth and well integrated, but it bugs me abit because I believe some battle scenes with intense camera work like the recall lounge shoot out shown in the trailer makes all actors look like they’re part of the cg work.
Music in the movie sounds wonderful, to the original orchestrated soundtrack to the one dubstep track they put in for the red light district. (Which to me sound funny that dubstep is considered porn music in the future and yes, the three boobed hooker is in this version as well) the entire soundtrack just brings the whole piece together.
Acting is top notch from Doug’s realization of what’s going on and why he can’t figure out why
To the main villain’s nefarious schemes. I can’t’ really say much without spoiling it. But fyi Bill Nigh is in it ;3
All in all the movie is a must see for fans of the original and new comers alike. They throw out some references to the old scwarchenager movie while making some good jokes on their own, its action packed and every line that’s put into this is pretty much well delivered and well written,.
Let me just say you need this movie in your life. Go see it now, you won’t regret it.

So probibly being one out of the 10 furs that do graffiti style art and post it on fa, i thought i would take the next step and do a comic based on the seattle graffiti scene. The comic is titled "Fame From Fat-caps", and it follows the life of the graffiti writer of four years named "Blast". It tells his story of how he gets his claim to fame in the graffiti world, him keeping his crew together and dealing with his rivals, all while trying to avoid being apprehended by the anti graffiti force. A private swat group whos soul purpose is to erradicate all graffiti, legal and illegal.

I have a few concepts up for the protaginist and his friends and a few of his rivals. Ill post them after the holiday season, so keep a watch on my channel! :)

Welll i've had a little bit of starting time with skyrim and i must say bethesda really outdid themselves. Minus the fact that there are a few frame rate issues with the pc version. I'll have a full on review of the game up by tomarrow.

So yesterday I had ended my relationship with  scruffthesage, i did this on behalf of me wanting to protect him from my anger issue. I fear that we may have gotten into an argument so bad that i would not be able to forgive myself for what i may have done. I still want to be friends with him, but i doubt we will get back together. Today has been he so far as ive tried to keep myself from crying during work abd it seems that the hours jhst drag on....hopefully i can get over this.

Last night my mate and i had a pretty bad argument which made me realize that i was close to becoming the person i never wanted to be. A verbaly abusive boyfriend. He asked me if i still wanted to be with him, i still cant answer this because i feel torn about it. Idk what to do or what to say. I feel like im at witts end here!

well my mate bought me this indie game on steam called "the binding of isaac" which is a game made by the guys who did "super meat boy" and "glish" and as you can imagine, the game is BALLS HARD! it plays alot like a mix between zelda and Total carnage and it has some very dark content for a 2d game. but then again this is a "mondern day retelling" of the story of Issac and Jacob.

Story:

You play as the young child "Isaac" who lives with his mother alone in a small house on top of a hill. He likes to sit and play while his mom watches Christian eveangelical bullshit on the boob toob. One day his mom starts "hearing the voice of god" and literaly snaps! she takes away all his earthly posesions and strips him naked, locks him in his empty room and then is forced to try and kill him to please god. Isaac however being the resourceful nudist he is finds a trap door and with no idea on what's on the other end jumps in. and now he must escape the confines of the basement and escape the home.

Game play and Concept:

Now the goal of the game is to escape the basement and confront Isaac's mother. Through out the game you crawl your way through 5 caves and basements till you reach the final showdown with his mummy. The game handles like a twin stick top down shooter like old games like "Smash TV" or "Total Carnage" with a "Legend of Zelda" dungeon system. The game's difficulty can be very punishing for new comers but also randomly generates the game each run through and has HUNDREDS OF POWER UPS to collect thus making Replay value VERY HIGH!

The enemies are very gruesome and twisted to see from cancer ridden fly pod babies to headless zombie kids you must fight your way through the undead horde! A few interesting things i have found while doing my first play through of this game was your base weapon, mini bosses, Bosses and The King and Devil rooms.

when you start the game Isaac is already in tears......and there's your base weapon. YOU KILL ENEMIES WITH YOUR TEARS! and from what i can see it has good range so far. You are also able to upgrade them thorough random power-ups you find in the game.

Next up is sub bosses. through out your trials you will also fight some of "mother's" forelorne children who represent the 7 sins. and when you beat one you gain their power.

The bosses are a weird touch since they also seem to be highly mutated or decomposed children you have to fight. and Each one is VERY DIFFICULT! i havn't gotten very far into the game to deal with them but i will tell you they will test your skills!

and then there's the chance rooms aka the god and devil rooms! God rooms have to be unlocked via a key but once inside they give you a nice power up you can use to help buff damage, health or speed. The devil rooms on the other hand are allways open and offer 2 items. but you may only take one item. each one will give you a good buff but at a horrible price. such as armor but you loose heart containers perminately or you can't die but you only have 1 heart and get respawned by the last room you were in.

Music:

the music in the game sets the errie and unsetteling nature of this game and its a very nice touch, they also change up the theme to and 8bit version when you enter the arcade room which makes a nice touch :3

Over all thoughts:

Binding of Isaac overall is a fun, refreshing, dark, raunchy, and fun experiance which i would say is worth the 5 dollars on steam! if you have the lincon to spare i would definately download this game and give her a few runs. im sure you'll soon be tyring to compete with your friends and trying to see how far you've gotten and who was closer to killing "Mother".

i went to take some cash out of my account since i only took 20 dollars out of my account already. i went to check on it and for some reason i have no money!

i had 140 dollars in there! how the hell does 20 dollars mean "drain my aaccount bank!"?!!!

Last night i went to See Deadmau5 live in concert at the paramount theater in Downtown Seattle and i must say it was one of the best experiences i have had in my entire life! So I will try to break down the evening as best as i can.

4:00 pm I leave home and head towards Seattle, minus the large headache of Traffic from people trying to merge onto the highway that goes to Bellevue I continue own music blasting and a smile on my face.

5:50 pm: I make it into downtown Seattle and manage to find cheap parking for the event :3 (7 bucks till midnight. what a deal!) I rush my ass up to the theater and see a line that stretches from the theater, all the way down one block to the convention center! I manage to find 2 fans to shoot the shit with before the doors open.

6:00 The doors open and fans are let in. I find my seat in the balcony before the show starts

6:30 to 8:00: The opening acts take the stages. First off was this House dj i never heard of called "ZEDD" who does some damn good DNB and House. he actually got me to Throw up the Triforce during his own Zelda mix

Then Excision takes the stage. Now me being a fan of Dubstep but not knowing many dubstep artists besides Klippa (aka Renard), Skrillex and Cyberoptix i must say this MFer is one dj i'll keep listenign too. he actually got me bouncing up and down with the rest of the crowd!

8:30: THE MAIN EVENT! The crowd was hyped nearly into a frenzy as we saw only the black curtain. They kept chanting His name over and over till finaly we see a halo taking the shape of the mau5, the curtains drop and the auditorium goes balistick with chears, yealls and "FUCK YEAH"S and for the rest of the night i was lost in House heaven!

his remixes were amazing and the fact that he actually got SOFI to perform her 2 vocal mixes from 4x4=12 on stage was awsome. i could really see the frendship between mau5 and SOFI but i noticed he's been having neck pains through out the night. might be the weight from those prop heads he wares.

10:00 He finishes with Ghosts n stuff and leaves the stage only to come back for an Encore by "Enabling hax". Needless to say fun was still had.

11:00 The concert finishes. i buy myself and  mixnmatch a poster cus the T-shirts (what i REALLY WANTED) were 35 bucks each and i only had enough for small memorabillia and my parking ticket :(

I get home at about 14:45 cus i live like about a half hour away from seattle and i sit down iwth my mate and our friend. lul at meme base and then go to bed.

i must say for my first concert in which i gave a damn about who was playing, It was deffinatly worth the money. and i may go see skrillex this year as well!

what can i say about this movie? well what cant i say besides it was very VERY underrated!first off when we got there. we were super SUPER early
it was my mate  scruffthesage our friend voice and I. we had to sit thoguth the fantom events previews for 30 minuets. IT TOOK 3 PEOPLE TO COMPLAIN BEFORE THE MOVIE STARTED! THREE! after that the movie started out. now im not going to sit here and tell you what the movie was about. just wait for tekken hybrid to come out.

as a tekken vetteran i feel comfertable knowing that i know ALOT ABOUT THE STORY LINE FOR THE GAME. but this movie felt so non cannon it HURTS!
first off the movie feels like it takes place between 5 and 6 but also includes a characther that we had never heard of.

but in short this movie just wasn't up to par with me. it was alot better thank Mortal kombat annaialation!

but appearently when i got home. THIS SHIT MOVIE IS CANNON! ITS A PRELUDE TO TEKKEN TAG 2.

fuck me harada. why did you let this shit movie happen.
