Late to the party, but...
Posted 4 months agoYay! FA is back! Now, I no longer have to worry about where I'll post my 3 WIP one-shot (maybe?) short stories once I finish transcribing what I have handwritten onto my computer to then upload here. (Should totally get a move on finishing the two that are closest to being done getting transcribed sooner rather than later...) However, I recently hurt my finger (my middle finger--you know, the finger you use to tell folks they're #1--of all the fingers to hurt), so typing will be, quite literally, a pain. (Unless I adjust how I type, which I'm trying out as I type this journal.) But yeah. Should have at least one of those stories done and uploaded here... perhaps by the end of the month, maybe? IDK. Depends on how distracted I am by The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. XD And perhaps Assassin's Creed: Shadows and Monster Hunter Wilds as well, but likely to a lesser degree.
Also, keep an eye out on my socials! I might end up posting screenshots of the powerpoint slides that contain the various story ideas (both long-form chapter stories and one-shot short stories) that I've come up with that I have yet to get to so y'all can get an idea of what kind(s) of stories to expect from me in the future. (Aside from any stories I get commissioned to write...)
See ya in the next chapter!

Story Commissions are Open!
Posted 8 months agoDue to financial constraints, I am once again opening up for story commissions. However, I'm going about it slightly differently than I did when I last opened up for commissions.
To submit a commission request, fill out this form: https://forms.gle/3VCTSN9YqY1gbB9g7
To read my terms of service, read this document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/.....it?usp=sharing
Any questions, regarding commissioning me, please send a note or message me on your preferred messaging platform. (Most of the potential questions should be answered in the terms of service document. If not, message me and I'll respond to your question. Then, I'll add it to the document as a FAQ.)
Please note, this is a new method for me, so bare with me while I work out the kinks.

F-list and Story Commissions
Posted 8 months agoSo, I finally made an F-list account (link: https://www.f-list.net/c/kvaloth) for a list of kinks I will/will not RP with... as well as kinks I will/will not write about (mostly the later, though. More later on in the journal. Keep reading). So, if you'd ever like to RP with at any point in time, just take a gander at my F-list to see what I will RP, won't RP, and what we may need to discuss.
Furthermore, I'm likely going to open up for story commissions once again, but I'm likely going to go about it slightly different this time around vs. how I did it previously in the past. The most obvious is creating an F-list with all the kinks I will/will not write about listed. The massively long list of kinks under the "maybe" heading? All of those are primarily story-dependent, meaning if the story requires it or has a reason for it being the way it is (lore, i.e, similar to Kalnareff's "Deeper Club" as to why/how hypers and macros/micros are the "norm"), then I'll I'm okay with writing a story with it. But a story with any of them that way "just because" and no real lore-type reason (especially with hypers or macros/micros)? No thanks. (The lone exceptions being either a fantasy setting where magic is used to increase sizes or a sci-fi setting where hypers and macros/micros make sense in one way or another.) Additionally, I'm probably going to use Google forms for commission submissions and accepting them, but I've never used Google forms before aside from filling them out myself when trying to get a commission from another artist (or just looking at/ reading through it for fun), so it'll be a massive amount of learning on my end.
I've run into a bunch of free time that I didn't think I'd be able to get for... a while, and I also have some financial constraints right now to where story commissions are the only way I can think of to help off-set these constraints for the time being (until things start to even out and not be so constraining). Won't be able enjoy my time in Japan (stationed here with the ship I'm attached to in the US Navy) otherwise. And I really, really want to go explore.
Of course, I'm also extremely behind on uploading my own, personal stories I've written in the time being (I have 3 short stories that I have completed writing by hand, but need to type up and then upload), so... yeah. Perhaps commissions will motivate me to upload more, my personal stories included. XD

On to 2024
Posted a year agoAs 2023 comes to a close, most folks make New Year's resolutions. Normally, I don't make any resolutions because I know I cannot sustain it for longer than a month or so. However, this year, there is at least one resolution that I am more likely to sustain for longer than a month: to write more (both short stories that I can upload here and work on the book I'm working on--yes, I'm writing a book that I hope to, eventually, publish, either self publish or traditionally publish). I have a short story I've hand-written that I need to type up and then upload here. Hopefully, I can work on that and upload it sometime between my various work trips, but more so before April. (If you're already in the know as to what I do for work, you're aware of what's going on. If not... well, I don't want to put it out there for the public to see/know for security/safety reasons.)
Blue Skies for a Blue Dragon
Posted 2 years agoHey all! Been a while. My last journal was 2 months ago while my last actual upload was roughly a year ago or so. Should probably get around to uploading stuff more frequently... (Also, holy shit! 100 watchers?! Uh... what??? Never expected that many. Ever.)
Anyway, that's not what this journal is about. I've finally joined Bluesky! If you're over there, give me a follow and I'll follow back in turn. My profile: https://bsky.app/profile/kvaloth.bsky.social

Need to upload more...
Posted 2 years agoSo, I just looked at my gallery, and... my last upload was last year. Uh... oops? I've gotten some art pieces since I last uploaded that I should go ahead and upload (but haven't). I also have several stories, both one-shot short stories, and longer chapter stories, that I'm still working on. The only problem is that work is a) taking up a lot of my day (12-14 hours) and b) work has been really, really draining any and all energy from me in order to do anything and everything that I want to do, including work on my stories. Even on my days off, I have minimal energy to do anything (including chores and other tasks around the apartment that I NEED to do.
So, what am I going to do about the lack of uploading, how do I plan on correcting it? Well, first off, I'm going to work on (and finish) this one-shot short story (that will have 2 separate, alternate endings) that I'm working on at present. If I work on it during my off-work hours a little bit a day, I might be able to finish and upload it, hopefully, this month sometime. Maybe. As for the art I have to upload yet... I have no idea when I'll get around to uploading all of them, if I even will. If I don't upload them (keyword: if), then I'm probably not going to upload them until much, much later.
Anyway, just figured I'd give yinz some sort of an update on what's going on. Hopefully, I'll have a story ready to upload for yinz here soon.

Pokemon Unite fanfic + Twitter poll
Posted 3 years agoI know I still owe everyone who submitted entries for the Halloween Party TF story raffle a, well, story. My only problem is 1) came across writer's block while trying to write it and 2) more writer's block every time I even attempt to write it out. Going to try something different in order to get over this writer's block with it and get it posted for y'all ASAP.
Meanwhile, I also, spontaneously as per usual with me when it comes to new story ideas, came up with an idea for a Pokemon Unite fanfic, so to speak. Do I enjoy the game? Yeah, sure I do...but I'm not particularly "competitive" in it either. I'm more of a casual player, much like how I am when it comes to literally any game. I just play for fun and enjoyment and as a way to pass the time/cure boredom. That's it. Anyway, the idea is this: in roughly 5-10 years (or so), Nintendo decides to jump into the VR market as it's really booming (playing off the current rise in VR and such) by making their own VR system (let's say they name it something like Nintendo Switch VR or something. It's a work in progress, so bear with me XD) and the first game they wanna make playable on their VR system? Their hugely popular and successful Pokemon Unite (Pokemon GO is AR, so it doesn't count for this) and they need a playtester in order to test Pokemon Unite's VR version (likely the top Unite player in the world or something like that). At the end of a game, the playtester goes to change out the holowear their chosen Pokemon wears (holowear that's new and unique to the VR version) only to feel a slight jolt of electricity in their player character that their real body also feels. Not thinking anything of it, they go into the game and play, ultimately winning handily, but come across an error at the end of the game that causes them to remove the VR goggles since the game is now unplayable until they physically reset the game...only to find out that they can't reset the game due to not having human hands. Let alone being human period. They quickly look in a mirror (conveniently in the testing room already) to find that their human body has been transformed into the Pokemon they used in-game.
Obviously, there have been plenty of VR-triggered Pokemon TFs, specifically with Zeraora, so I obviously want this to be a bit different from those TF artworks. However, I'm not completely axing Zeraora as a choice for this story, but I'm certainly willing to use either Zeraora or another current Pokemon in the game.
Now, the biggest question is: what Pokemon does the playtester get turned into? A Pokemon that is currently in the game already (like Zeraora, Lucario, Charizard, Dragonite, or even Garchomp)? Or a Pokemon that (potentially) could get put in the game by the time this story takes place (5-10 years into the future...assuming Pokemon Unite is still going strong 5-10 years from now)? To help narrow it down a bit (currently in-game vs not yet in-game), I created a Twitter poll, which you can find here: https://twitter.com/Kvaloth/status/.....428526593?s=20. Depending on which option wins (in-game or not yet in-game), there will be another poll to help narrow it down to one, specific Pokemon after this poll is complete. So, whichever Pokemon TF you want to see me write, go ahead and head over to Twitter to cast your vote! You've got 7 days till the poll ends in order to cast your vote.

Commissioned art Backlog
Posted 4 years agoUgh. Have commissioned quite a bit of art since the last time I uploaded anything that I should go ahead and upload. Both of existing characters and at least one adopt I got in the time being. And I have yet to finish any of the stories I'm currently working on either. sighs I'm really terrible at all this... Might try to get at least some of the commissioned art uploaded either this week or this upcoming weekend depending on my irl work schedule/workload. While also working on completing my in-progress stories...and write a story for a story writing contest that I want to enter too. Ugh. So much to do, not enough time...
A Novel Series for Dragon and TF Lovers
Posted 4 years agoSo, apparently, Facebook knows me well. Probably a bit too well. ^.=.^' Recently, I've seen 3 ads on Facebook's mobile app for different e-book series on Amazon...all of which deal with dragons in some form or another. Obviously, I bought all 3 of those series (came in e-book box sets, if you will). Started reading one of them yesterday...and finished all 6 books in the series today. (Helps it's the 4th of July weekend...and they're quite an easy read. At least, for me). The series is called Lazy Scales and, to summarize what it's about without giving away too much info, is about a kid, Lewis Cooper, who ends up being turned into a dragon after being randomly selected by a spell cast by the (formerly) last living dragon on Earth before dying. He has to learn to not only live as a human in a dragon body, dealing with his draconic needs and instincts, but also try and live with humans nearby...and keep from eating his friends all while dealing with a grand destiny he never knew about nor wanted and everything that comes with it. Along with quite the prudish spirit mentor teaching him dragon things.
Anyway, if you'd like to check it out for yourselves, which I highly recommend as a dragon and TF lover myself, here is a link to the series' Amazon page for y'all to check it out for yourselves and see if it's for you or not: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B.....oreType=ebooks
Anyway, gotta let my Kindle Fire recharge (it died right as I was on the last few pages of the last book) before I move onto those other two series shown me in Facebook ads. Might post another journal promoting them depending on how compelling they are.
Until next time!

70 Watchers?!
Posted 4 years agoWow. Okay. Yeah, it's not that much of a big deal like what, say, 100 watchers would be, but it's still an accomplishment for me, someone who doesn't really post on a regular basis and only has stories as their own work (the art I do end up posting is, more than likely, done by someone else as my art isn't really worth posting. At least, not here as they're "better" suited for DeviantArt than here. But I digress).
Few things to note:
1. I still need to finish posting the rest of "Consequences." I keep forgetting to post the rest of it. My bad.
2. I have a story I've been commissioned to write over on DA involving human characters that I'll likely post here as well when finished.
3. I've got another story (human mpreg) that I'm working on that I need to finish yet. Will post it here and at DA when finished.
4. I have a ton of story ideas that I want to have go from just ideas to full blown stories still that I'm gonna go ahead and work on when I'm finished with the two stories I'm currently working on.
5. Will probably post occasional updates about my larger story project (probably gonna wind up being a full-length novel if all the ideas I have for it come to fruition in the story) here as journals. Currently working on a 3rd version/iteration with some major, some minor edits to it (changed a name of a character to avoid potential copyright lawsuits, added details, and so on). The majority of it is the same (namely the theme and plot), though.
Anyway, I think that's it for this journal. Here's to hoping 30 more folks decide they like what I post and wanna watch me. ^.=.'^ Might do some special thing for 100, but IDK. A (free) YCH story raffle doesn't really seem like something folks would be all too interested in. Until next time!

Character Backstories
Posted 5 years agoWith writer's block on my various other writing projects combined with stress/frustration regarding COVID, I've been coming up with more and more story ideas but haven't gotten around to actually writing them. However, the backstories regarding several of my characters (well, all of them technically) are more pronounced in my mind than my other writing projects....and will, hopefully, help with my writer's block with my other writing projects, providing me more inspiration to continue them with. So, expect one of these backstories being uploaded...sometime. Can't say exactly when it'll be uploaded.
Any help would be appreciated, please!
Posted 5 years agoSo, I got an idea of an alternate version (alternate universe, basically) where Kvaloth was either forcefully made into a robot or was made as a robot for underwater search and rescue, underwater treasure hunting, retrieval of sunken ships/vehicles, etc. However, since money is fairly tight right now (too much spending on commissions, in app purchases, etc.), I figured I'd at least try and draw the concept myself. Despite not being that great at drawing myself. I did a Google search to try and find some sort of reference but...didn't really come up with anything that was super helpful nor what I was looking for.
So if anyone has any tips, tricks, helpful incites, helpful links, etc., I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

Reincarnated as a Slime/Pokemon Story Idea
Posted 5 years agoSo, I've had this story bouncing around in my head for about a month or so, maybe longer, that combines That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime and Pokemon. The current gist of the story is that the main character is killed before his predetermined time of death (as per some supernatural entity/deity) and is reincarnated in a new world, the world of Pokemon. However, he/she is not reincarnated as just any Pokemon. He/she is a Pokemon that can talk kinda like Mewtwo and Lucario in the one Pokemon movie (I forget which one off the top of my head now). I forget just how they're able to talk (probably using Psychic or something. Like I said, I forget), but this isn't like that. It's legit talking like a human, which makes him/her quite unique. And rare. Rarer than even shiny Pokemon and the legendaries. Of course, he/she goes on an adventure kinda like any ordinary trainer (but as a Pokemon themself), but after they've evolved to where, well, they're able to go on adventure....."safely." Well, as safely as a talking Pokemon can.
Would anyone even be interested in a story like this? Granted, I'll write it anyway, but I just want to gauge people's interest in a story like this to see if it's even worth it.
Also, what kind of Pokemon would you like to see the main character reincarnated as? Currently, I'm thinking either an Eevee or Riolu/Lucario, maybe even a Charizard, Dragonite, or.....some other Pokemon. I'm not 100% sure right now. It's in the planning stages right now, so I have time to make a decision, a solid decision at that.

I have returned!
Posted 6 years agoAfter 2 months away from the internet as a whole, I have returned! I was able to make it through boot camp and officially, officially become a United States Sailor. Now, just need to get through A school and learn my job (anticipated to graduate A school 24Feb19) before I'm able o go out and actually join the fleet. Will be working on my stories whenever I have downtime to be able to do so, don't worry. Feels good to be back online, though. Even though I have thousands of notifications to go through now (as I had suspected I would before I left). Now, to return to the fun of getting caught up.... *scurries off*
Ship Day
Posted 6 years agoToday's the day! I ship off to boot camp for the Navy to begin a whole new adventure, a whole new chapter in my life. As of posting this, I will be (even more) inactive than I have been for a minimum of 8 weeks. In the meantime, see y'all on the flip side!
To the Navy!
Posted 6 years agoSo, I was able to enlist in the Navy, signing my contract back on March 22, 2019. I ship off to boot camp on July 2, 2019.......this coming Tuesday. As a result, I will be unable to access FA, or the internet in general starting that day. I'll continue to access the internet on Sunday and Monday, but once Tuesday comes, it won't be possible. (My family and I are heading up on Sunday to spend a couple of days there as a family before I ship out.) This is a whole new adventure for me. Yes, I'm nervous, but I'm also quite excited too.
As a result of this, I will be closing my commissions and trade requests (granted, I haven't gotten very many, but still).
I'm sorry for not posting on a regular basis. Between writer's block and my terrible time management skills (which will hopefully be improved through the Navy), I haven't been able to do much in the way of writing. (Not to mention I keep forgetting to post the rest of "Consequences" here >.=.>).
Once I'm able to regain access to the internet, likely via my phone, I'll probably have somewhere around 1,000+ submissions from artists I follow (probably overexaggerating, but being gone for 8 weeks with no internet will accumulate in a backlog of notifications), but that's all fine. It's fine.
Anyway! I have 2 more days (minimum) with internet access before I'll be at least 8 weeks without it. Will probably make another journal Monday night saying, "see y'all in at least 8 weeks' or something along those lines.
It's fine.

Shiny?! Shiiiiiiiinnnnnnyyyyyyyy!!
Posted 6 years agoWent ahead and enabled it. Because why not? It's not mandatory (I don't post that often anyway), but if you like my stories/commissioned art of my characters that I post.....whenever I have something to post feel free to throw some shinies my way. Only if you wish and are able to. Don't want you to hurt yourself in the process.

New Character Idea
Posted 7 years agoOkay, so my wild, somewhat creative mind wound up creating a new character. Basically, she is an anthropomorphic cow, a standard, stereotypical dairy cow (a black and white Heifer, basically) with an udder but no human breasts (they look weird on anthro cows in my opinion as an udder is a cow's breasts, essentially). Only she's also a living, breathing, walking, talking fish tank/aquarium. Essentially, she permanently looks like she's full-term pregnant with either a calf or twin calves (haven't decided on how big she'll look yet), but rather than actually being pregnant, she's carrying around water and fish (and other aquatic animals) and even some decorations typically found in an aquarium at home....with a clear/"glass" skin around her belly area where her womb is. Obviously, she won't be able to carry very many aquatic creatures before she winds up being completely immobilized, but that's an issue to be worked out when I write her backstory (trust me, it's a long one. A fairly lengthy one at that). There's a bunch of stuff that happens that allows her to live permanently like this that will also be mentioned in her backstory. This also takes place in outer space, hence why it's even possible for her to live like this (and for everything else to take place). Her backstory begins on Earth with her as a male human then takes off (literally) to outer space after watching a UFO crash and going to investigate the crash. I don't want to spoil....much about what happens as I want to save it all for her backstory. I have it all mapped out (sort of) in my head since I've been.....daydreaming/fantasizing something along the same lines as her backstory so.... *shrugs*
Anyway, I'm planning on naming her Aquaria (for obvious reasons). The idea for her actually ended up springing up after seeing this post: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/29460264/ I originally found this via e621 (surprise, surprise am I right?) then followed the source link to the post here that's linked in this journal. It's weird (what isn't?) but it got the idea for Aquaria brewing in my head. I would just like to get her from my head onto paper. Somehow. I have no idea how since my drawing skills are more suited for architecture-type drawings (a touch easier to draw than humans and anthro animals and even feral animals. But whenever I have time, I'll do my best to put her character idea onto paper myself. Even if it is rather.....terrible. And childish looking. And......everything else.
I.....think that's it for this journal this time around. Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. I haven't had any energy to work on let alone finish any stories that are currently works in progress. Though I do need to finish uploading "Consequences" to here, so I could do that at some point...... Anyway! With all that being said (I apologize for the rather lengthy journal. XD), until next time!
