I found out today he has lymphoma cancer. This is not curable. With medication to keep him comfortable, the average dog with this type of cancer has 1 1/2 -2 months. However, there is another treatment of 5 months of weekly injections that gives him a 80% chance of another 9 months... I adopted Loki from the Humane society when he was about a year old. He is my best friend. I know he is dying of this horrible disease, but if I can at least try and give him a chance at more time to be loved and pampered, it would make both of our lives a little happier."

What is this all about?!
Well, I'm challenging myself. Yesterday Woods-Of-Lynn and I put together a drawing challenge for myself(and possibly herself, too) so I can improve, draw more, and especially, get out of my comfort zone.
Most of the time I get stuck just browsing websites for hours(coughtumblr) when I really want to get off and draw.
Hopefully, this will also encourage me to use my time to exercise.

THIS IS A BIG CHALLENGE FOR ME. No lazy browsing, no games.
I'm hoping I can really do it. I KNOW I CAN. I WILL. I probably won't be hanging out with anyone, either. This is a huge step for me and I want to be focused.

Wondering what I'm doing every day? You can do this if you want, too! You don't have to stay off social media like me, but just do the art part.

Take a look:

FILL ENTIRE PAGE. Do not exceed 1 hour if you don't have the time.

Day 1 Choose a palette. Use to make a scenery. Digital. www.colourlovers.com/ chromaa.com/
Day 2 Canine anatomy.
Day 3 Feline anatomy.
Day 4 STILL LIFE. Sketched and shaded.
Day 5 Pick an animal you've never drawn before and draw it.
Day 6 Human figure Drawing. Sketches.
Day 7 Put music onto shuffle. Draw to the song it lands on first. Make an illustration of that song.
Day 8 Clothing and folds in cloth. Folded t-shirt, draping blanket, etc.
Day 9 Human face in different perspectives.
Day 10 Find some plants and draw them. Sketch and shaded. Can be leaves, flowers, trees, or that one weed growing in your backyard.
Day 11 Find a really old drawing and redraw it. Self-esteem boost. Full drawing.
Day 12 Pick a character of yours and make an emotion chart for them. Happiness, sadness, anger, etc.
Day 13 Line-art switch day-- Pick a friend do a line-art and swap them. Color each other's.
Day 14 CUTE VALENTINE DAY STUFF. Draw your favorite OTP with flowers, chocolate, balloons, hand-holding, maybe even kissing.
Day 15 Choose a palette. Use to make a scenery. If you did trees before, do open hills.
Day 16 Choose a body part you're struggling with and make a full study for it.
Day 17 Find a book, open to a random page and draw the second sentence.
Day 18 Anthro figure drawing. Sketches.
Day 19 A figure in perspective. Like a worm's eye view, or bird's. Just one, sketched and shaded.
Day 20 Draw in a different style.
Day 21 Draw in another style.
Day 22 Draw in another one.
Day 23 Have a friend do a very rough sketch. Finish it.
Day 24 Draw a portrait of your favorite celebrity. Sketched and shaded.
Day 25 Draw your favorite dinosaur. Sketch page.
Day 26 Dragon study. Sketch page.
Day 27 Armor Study (Skyrim can be included)
Day 28 Self portraits. Fill half the page with yourself in your style, then the other half is a real self potrait.
Day 29 Skyrim character study. Khajiit, human, Argonian.
Day 30 Full drawing, traditional. Can last a day or two. Pick a character AND a scene. Lined, colored, shaded. Acrylics, colored pencils, or mixed media, etc.

First of all, this may seem odd to some people, but I am pretty excited about this year! I know that there will be great things coming my way, especially if I make it so. By that I mean-- If you want something good to happen, make it happen! Or at least try. You will always get a wrong answer if you don't put anything there in the first place.

Okie dokie. I really do want to work on my art this year, like actually referencing from photos more often to help me improve. Guys, don't try to go without using real life! You won't improve if you don't. You could just use other people's art, but that's not really a good way to improve. Develop your own style, and remember you can't expect yourself to be good in a blink of an eye, because you won't be. It takes years. You may think I'm super good, but it's only been maybe 5 years since I've started to draw seriously, and, sure, you may think that that's just enough time to become a pro at art. No. I have years and years ahead of me to improve. Everyone is improving every time they draw something, even if it might seem like they aren't. Everyone takes their own time to improve, because some people are slower, like me, than others. Even people who've been drawing as long as me might not even be at my level. Someone who is 10 years older than me might be at my level. It's okay.

My main focus this year will probably be referencing from photos and real life. Humans, other animals, even wolves. Creating full pieces is also something I want to do more often than I ever have. Sketches are nice, but I do those a lot. Don't be afraid to line your works. If you do it more frequently, you won't be so scared anymore. You might even start to like it.

If you are an artist or want to be an artist, be prepared to use lots of patience. You need patience for improving, patience for waiting for people to notice your works, patience to not go crazy when not getting that leg right, patience especially for just wanting so badly for those people to commission you, patience for ART in general.

Practice. Patience. But never Perfect.

Ugh, guys, I'm sorry for not posting much art, but there's school, homework, and other irl stuff going on. I would use my four day weekend coming up to work on art, but I'll be gone Thursday to Tuesday. (And no, I haven't been playing League of Legends all the time because I would have to go over to my friend's house to do that) [Yes, I've come to love LoL, but my dad won't let me get it on our computer. besides, it would keep me from doing ANYTHING productive. School and family comes first.]

You could even do this if you already have a suit, but is getting a new one.

FURSUITER-TO-BE MEME

1. First off, who are you and what is your [future fursuit]character's name? (You do not have to give out your real name) What kind of creature is your character/will your character be?
I go by Moss, and my character's name, the character I would make into a fursuit, is Moss. She has been my fursona for about 5 years now. Her species is Wolfigeron (wolf-tiger-dragon), created when I was younger (hence the so-original name)

2. Awesome! When do you plan on getting/making your first fursuit?
I'm not making it, but when I do buy one, I want it to be when I've stopped growing... Actually, I could get one now if I had the money, but I don't want to grow out of the bodysuit xD

3. Are you getting/making more than one?
I'll probably just get one of Moss, and if I make more characters that I really love and have the money, then maybe I'll get another suit. I'm not the kind of person who has tons of characters. I have maybe 5 and I don't even draw them all.

4. Partial, Full-Plantigrade, Full-Digitigrade, or quadsuit? Toony or Realistic?
Moss will be a Full-Digitigrade (: I love how some people create the padding in the legs, because sometimes they look so good! And she would be a more toony suit with follow-me eyes.

5. Who is your fursuit-maker target? (Who do you plan on commissioning for a fursuit?) I would like to see; provide a username or website link. Or are you making your own?
I haven't really decided yet; I have a few years for that. I do like the toony head style of Twinkyarts but I want to find someone who better fits me.

6. Sweet! How much do you think you need to save up? I'm guessing a lot!
Uh, yeah. Around $2000 or more. I've already started saving up, even if it's slow.

7. Do you plan on going to any conventions?(In-suit) If so, which ones? Where do you think you'll go to first?
I'd love to go to my local con, Unthrocon, and Rocky Mountain Fur Con, AnthroCon, FurtherConfusion, Furry Weekend Atlanta, Midwest Fur Fest, and of course Arizona Fur Con in my home state.
I'll probably be going to Unthrocon first, since it's closer.

8. Who would you like to go with?
I'd like to go with my irl friends Kaji, Stella, and Flamey, but also with online friends.

9. Are there any fellow fursuiters that you want to meet?
I'd LOVE to meet tsebresos windwolf (which I'm hoping to at Comic Con next month) and even ino89777(Telephone) and albinotopaz and some others that I love to watch in con videos xD

10. Do you plan on holding your own little furmeets? Maybe at a zoo, a park, etc.
Oohh yes, that would be so fun. Hogle Zoo would be a great place, even the Fat Cats bowling alley, and a giant park I've been to recently.

11. What about making fursuit dance videos?
Haha, heck yeah! I'd love love to dance in suit, even make videos with friends.

12. Or just videos of you having fun in your suit?(By fun I mean at cons, meets, etc.)

All of the above! I'd mostly play around and be out-going and fun <3

Heck yea :D Especially for the kiddos, and in the winter.

21. Last question. How did you find out about fursuits? When?
Uh, the internet. xD I found out about animal art, joined dA, discovered anthros, then furries, then after I while I became one, and I've wanted a fursuit ever since! It's been about 2 years.

I'm not sad or angry or depressed or... well, nothing is wrong, really. I just need a break. I only hung out with a friend 1 or two times this whole summer... and it's already halfway over. Cya later alligators.

Point commissions, trades, whatever. Please do not ask.

A family just bought a husky "from some folks who were obviously not taking care of him." He was being fed a bad dog food, Beneful, and was in a horse bridal instead of an appropriate harness. They took him in because they were afraid that he would be going to an even worse home, especially being sold at such a cheap price.
This little guy is not neutered and needs his vaccinations. If you cannot donate, please at least spread the word!

I'm not just going to be playing minecraft. Maybe later in the day, but first I'll walk Cowboy for 30 minutes and then work on homework. Walking Cowboy for 30 minutes isn't much, but hopefully I'll be doing it every day after school, and then every day during the summer during the coolest part of the day. It will be good for both Cowboy and I! We got some chub(apparently that's a European fish but you know what I mean) to get rid of xD
So I will be a little inactive, but mostly in art. As I said in the last journal, I will try to get the art done this weekend, and if I don't, I will definitely have time after school ends. I get out June 3rd.
