Posted 5 years agoHey, hope everyone is keeping safe and taking care of themselves.
Sorry I didn't post anything in October, and really this is just another "I am still alive and working on things" journal.
Granted I did upload a couple of things last month, and I'm hoping to get something done and sorted out soon.
Hope you all have a great month.

Posted 5 years agoHello everyone, I hope you're all doing well.
First and foremost, I made the big mistake of getting into PSO2 last month. And well, it's a fairly fun game for being a F2P MMO that can be played to the end without paying a cent, considering that a lot of the "premium" features can be temporarily used though certain items. It has consumed a decent chunk of my time considering I have sank nearly 150 hours into it since last month.
Anyway, I'm still trying to chip away at things, and working with others to get some more stuff together. I rarely upload a few minor things to Twitter ( kyiarnuGA ), so maybe you've seen some of that. I do hope to get something soon, though I still haven't finished that ref sheet, though I have at least started lining it after sketching a loooot of things.
Until I manage to actually finish something, I hope you all stay safe, and take care of yourselves.

Posted 5 years agoHello everyone, hoping you are all taking care and staying safe.
I've been doing alright, went back to working on something I started up on back in May, though that has been going slowly. To be perfectly honest, I also took up helping someone else with their own project several months ago, though I don't want to divulge too much on that front. Been cooking up a few other things on the side, though it will probably be a while until anything comes from that.
Anyway, I hope that you all continue to be careful. See you next month~

So I take it everyone saw the new pics I put up. I have been holding onto those for a while, and I am actually starting work on some more stuff. I haven't been doing any work on the game, to be honest, but I do hope to get some animations finished up as soon as possible, though I can't promise that I'll have anything to show for it by next month.
Anyway, I hope that everyone has a great day, and that everything stops being so painfully hot. ._.

Posted 5 years agoHoly shit, I can't wait for this to be over.
I was actually told to stay home for a couple of months and just this week is when I was told to start coming in to work again.
No progress on the game as of yet, I got an animation started on for a new attack type, and am currently trying to draw something. After well over a year of drawing nothing.
I hope that everybody is staying safe and taking care of themselves, though. Until next time.

Posted 5 years agoAlright, so first and foremost, I hope everyone is staying safe and taking care of themselves.
No big progress has been made on the game as of yet, I've been mucking about with pixelwork on and off, working a bit on redoing a couple of animations.
As it stands, I'm starting to think about changing a few mechanics because of some bugs I've been running into. But first, there are several attack animations I want to put together. Though I've been having some trouble actually getting around to doing that.

Game progress - Apr 1st 2020 (+update video)
Posted 5 years agoHello!
First and foremost, I hope that everyone is staying safe.
My hours at work have been slashed considerably, as has my salary, but I'm managing for the time being.
As for the game:
Not a huge update, added another charged attack and sorted out a few more effects and mechanics.
The part where the damage numbers add up was especially buggy, and even in the video it doesn't trigger all the time, but at least it works when attacking from the right side now. There's already a few bits of an equipment system implemented, so hopefully once I get more spritework done, that will be relatively easy to do.
Until next time~

Game progress - Feb 21st 2020 (+update video)
Posted 5 years agoHello everyone!
So there hasn't been a huge amount of progress, mainly a touchup to the HUD, and the addition of charged attacks.
The main problem going forward is going to be the introduction of the equipment system, which, since I am using Pixel Game Maker MV, is likely going to require me to actually learn some coding, or sort out a way to setup a database or an array, and then have the game collect data from that array/database, somehow. Though I'm not sure if I'll tackle that anytime soon, or if I might just start cutting out things I wanted to implement just to simplify matters.
Especially if I want to get to the good stuff anytime soon.
Anyway, I hope you all like what you see so far.

New stuff will still be uploaded to my Weasyl account first, however.
So just so everyone knows what's happening.

The state of things - Jan 3rd 2020 (+ update video)
Posted 6 years agoSo first and foremost, I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas and that 2020 isn't a raging dumpster fire.
Now as for the game, I got some very basic stuff done last month, so here's a video: https://youtu.be/II7dQLlk6Fo
Since then, there have been a series of tweaks, but nothing huge. The HUD is getting a significant rework, and I'll need to make a couple more elements for it, not to mention making several more attack animations.
Thing is, I picked up Dragon Quest Builders 2 a few weeks back, and have been playing it a lot. The fact that it's actually a rather flawed game makes me wish there were more like it, where the buildings you make actually have a point to them and the npc villagers aren't utterly useless.
Problem is that the way DQB2 works is that:
-Your building ability is severely hampered by needing to unlock just about everything through progressing the main campaign, (you unlock the ability to make what is basically COBBLESTONE near the endgame, what the shit)
-Speaking of the main campaign, you know what's fun? Being told to take your time building when being constantly harassed by waves of monsters every couple of minutes. Monsters that can destroy your structures. Monsters that spawn on the other side of a building that was just built. Even beyond that, the game doesn't pause while you are crafting, and monsters tend to spawn close enough to quickly get aggroed by your very existence. So you can get interrupted nigh on constantly while trying to put things together. At least you can eventually shut off monster spawns on the main island.
-The metric crapton of limits on everything (here is this massive island where you can build whatever you want... as long as you make less than 100 rooms. And have less than 60 residents. And pets and livestock count towards that limit. And the island is split into three much smaller zones where your residents live and can only move to other zones if you have them transferred over. And other arbitrary as fuck limits on certain items being placed)
-Among other, yet several petty annoyances, which just make an otherwise very good game a bit of a pain in the ass at times.
Nothing much to report other than that. Hope everyone has a great year!

Posted 6 years agoHey there!
Might start doing these a bit more often, I dunno. I figure I should at least try.
Anyway, the game is still chugging along. Slowly, but it's something.
I got the updated animations in, though I missed a frame here and there during the update. Beyond that, I fixed another couple of bugs, and started experimenting with a few differences in the controls. Also, I have a HUD implemented, along with a few bits and pieces of the combat mechanics. Right now, I'm working on attack animations.
The HUD though... hoo boy, just getting that working was a pain in the ass. Granted, it also took me a bit to figure out a better way of setting up a few things as well, and part of it was me getting > and < switched around, got the counters ticking backwards. Also, I might still do some changes to it down the line since I want to add some more elements to it. Still, at least I managed to do something.
That's about it, really. Until next time!

The state of things - Oct 2019
Posted 6 years agoHello everyone,
I figured I would try and get one of these out a month. Didn't write anything in September, so I'll just put this one out now.
No real update on the game, I'm postponing the combat update to work on touching up and tweaking the existing spritework. Mainly to get Kyia two pixels taller just to have her be 72 pixels tall, creating a scale of 1 pixel = 1 inch. That, and changing the armor slightly to put it more in line with an older piece of artwork I made once.
Haven't gotten too much besides that, honestly. I'm actually still working on a couple more of the animations before they are all updated.
What I also wanted to discuss was the game mechanics I've planned. So the game is meant to be vore-centric, and when HP is depleted, you lose your armor, entering a temporary crisis state where any enemy can capture you. If you manage to avoid being caught for a short period of time you regain a small amount of HP, but your armor is still gone until you reach a save point where you can repair it, meaning you miss out on whatever bonuses the armor granted.
Of course, that would probably be a pain to implement, and it'll be a while before I get to that point regardless.
Anyway, until next time.

Posted 6 years agoAnyone still alive around here?
So updates! The game is still going along... slowly. But this time, I have something to show for it: https://youtu.be/A61RS4KOejU
It's not much, of course. I'm still a long, long, LONG way before there's any actual content in it, but as it stands, it works relatively well. Doesn't hurt that I haven't coded a damn thing of it. So to recap the game has the following:
-Running
-Jumping
-Crouching
-Dropping through platforms by jumping while crouching
-Performing a horrible impersonation of a mobian by jumping while crouching on solid ground
-Backdashing
-Being forced into a crouch briefly when falling too long
So... nothing much. And it's only been a year since I started working on it. yaaaaaay
I'm going to work on something else for a bit before I get back on the game. Next stop: Combat!

Posted 6 years agoAlright, so this has been a long time coming.
Sorry I haven't written anything in ages, this is just for the folks still watching this profile and to let people know I'm still alive.
I've still been working on a number of things on and off, mostly plugging away at the game, which I made SOME progress on before switching engines (from RPG Maker MV to Pixel Game Maker MV) and all but starting over. I didn't want to really talk about it since I have nothing to show for it since at the moment all I really have is a bunch of spritework animations put together in a somewhat functional manner. At the moment I'm working on a crouching animation, after putting together a jumping animation, so I do in fact have next to nothing here.
I'm also doing some colouring work between sprites so I don't get burned out. I'm waiting until I have a series finished before I post anything, though.
As a last thought, ever since Tumblr did that whole purge thing, I've been looking for an alternate place to post my stuff since just about nobody goes to Weasyl.
Anyway, hope you all have a great day, and see you in half a year, I guess.

The state of things - Nov 2018
Posted 7 years agoSo seeing how it's been ages since I posted... anything at all, I wanted to put out some updates for the people watching this profile... for who knows what reason.
I've been working on a huge, overly ambitious project. Which is to say, I actually have little to nothing to actually show for it at the moment, and probably won't have for months from now. That is, if I can actually work on the damn thing, since I recently got hit by the flu after not working much on it for most of a month. I suppose I might as well shoot down any hype this might be building up by saying it's an RPGmaker game. EvErYbOdY's FaVoRiTe~
Really, the issue I'm having right now is making a custom tileset. And if you've seen my older things... I am not good at backgrounds. Again, with all the projects I've started and never finished, I hope to be able to actually get somewhere with this one.
Hopefully I'll have something to show sometime soon.
