Posted 2 years agoSome of you have messaged me wondering where in the Hell Kyrm t. Bat has gone, and why my submissions have been so sparse.
The journal title tells half a story: I'm moving. Without getting too personal, the story's other half is that my present living arrangements have decayed to a point where writing is often an untenable prospect.
The very fortunate news is, after three years of scraping, scrounging, filing mountains of paperwork, and making dubious financial decisions: I'm getting the hell outta here! Come month's end, I'll begin the process of U-hauling my paraphernalia into a place that, while rather cramped even for a bat of my stature, is my own.
That means much much much much more me-time, and more me-time translates to more writing time.
So expect to see a whole lot more of me in the future (size pun perhaps intended).
For my clients: apologies, but expect some more delays before I'm back in the swing of it.
For everyone, clients especially: thank you for being either Constant Readers, or fellow freaks here for some incredibly esoteric handful of stories I've penned.
Your readership, your replies, and your general support are the reasons I'm able to find myself a nook at all. It's certainly going to be a modest living, but it's a living you've all helped me earn, and I can't see myself doing anything other than writing for you all.

This time, we are going to be taking a rather drastic jump to 5 cents per word. Obviously, this does not apply to stories that have been queued preemptively at other agreed-upon prices.

Price Increase
Posted 4 years agoHello everyone, I am going to be officially raising my prices with the new year. My queue has been getting fuller and fuller despite my diligent work rate remaining at the same level.
The increase won't be major, only half a cent per word, putting my rate to three and a half cents ($0.035) per word as opposed to $0.03.
This will NOT AFFECT stories already in the queue. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY MORE FOR YOUR CURRENTLY COMMISSIONED STORIES.
Expect a more formal update post soon; for now, I am battling an annoyingly persistent illness which has been slowing my work rate down far more than I'd like.
And thanks a ton to all the people who enjoy my stories and make this sort of thing possible. I am trying my hardest to make this writing business something that can sustain me into the future, so to do that I am gradually bringing myself in-line with a rate that will allow me to make a real living off of my craft.

Posted 5 years agoHey all! Don't panic! This is only affecting my lower-end word count stories. Most stories I have been commissioned for have been in the 6,000+ word count range regardless, so I am going to push my flat rate to 3 cents per word in order to avoid confusion.

SPECIAL RATES
Image Descriptions: $15. 1,000-word narrative based on a picture that you have commissioned. I have some briefer samples here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/30436757/ and here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/27932950/ - basically, a very small story to go with your picture.
Gore Tax: +$5 per 1,000 words, or half a cent per 1,000 words. If you like it bloody, that's fine - but it's going to cost a little bit extra. Keep in mind, this is for explicit gore. Death or implied death or even non-hard vore won't incur this extra charge.
Private Commissions: 4 cents per word. I'd like to keep my commissions / portfolio on FA consistent, so if you want private work, I will have to charge more.
HOW WILL THE COMMISSION PROCESS WORK
I like to work this out on a per-client basis. The reason being that people can be very particular with how they want their pieces! If you want the work to be a surprise, you can give me a premise, I can roll with it, you can pay, and I can deliver. You can spell out the story scene-by-scene. You can give me a list of kinks/must-includes. You can have me send you excerpts for review so we can be sure that we're on the same page.
We can just figure the process out together! Having written over fifty writing commissions at this point, I'm fairly confident that I can provide something satisfactory to you.
I will generally not post a piece until you have had the chance to read it and I have received your approval.

Probably no scat/farting, might go under the gore tax.

Story Commissions Price Increase in Near Future
Posted 6 years agoJust a warning that I suspect my rates will be going again up soon. (They already have in an unofficial capacity, but it hasn't been codified yet). Probably to three cents a word. I'd like to find some affordable options beneath that rate for those who want something short and sweet.
Any suggestions are welcome. Figuring out the sweet spot for this sort of stuff is hard.
Patreon is still a WIP as well. Mostly just working through my queue at the moment, I just figured I'd post this up sooner rather than out of nowhere later down the road.

2 cents per word, as opposed to the original 1 cent - mostly 'cause I spend a good amount of time with each piece, and I'd like to keep giving what I do write the attention it deserves!

Posted 7 years agoOk, figured since my last journal was a little old. Yes, I'm open for writing commissions generally whenever. Price point is still $5/500 words, and I know in my last post I said I was sticking to around a 2,000 word limit, but basically everyone who messages me asks for more.
SO we'll float around 5,000 as the upper limit, as that seems to be what people are into. We can negotiate higher, of course, but I may ask for a slightly raised price point, considering the scope of the project.
Also, strange aside, since someone noted me asking: yes, if you'd like to make a commission including my bat character / other characters featured in my own stories in some capacity, I'm probably down for it. I'm also probably open for art trades, feel free to chat with me about that sort of thing - might be fun to figure out.
Obviously still gonna post commissions and random lewd stories as time permits. Gotta keep my own Big Boy cravings in check.

Posted 7 years agoShot in the dark since I don't have too many watchers, but I wouldn't mind trying my hand at writing lewd stuff for money. Let's say $5 per 500 words, up to around 2,000. Willing to negotiate higher, but that's going to be my general limit for now.
Hit me up in notes if you're interested. I'll probably write just about any kind of fetishy stuff, and I'll definitely do macro, though if it's anything too hardcore I might not want to be credited if you post it.
