I already have a reliable copy of every single version of windows 7 fully pre-activated, so I'll just install to a better version. This just means I have to search for all my tablet's drivers again, which is a pain in the ass.

I had the strangest dream last night... (long but good)
General | Posted 15 years agoIt all started on The Black Pearl (Captain Jack Sparrow's boat) stranded in Davy Jones' Locker. Don't ask me why because I don't know, it's a dream. Anyway, I hop off the ship and investigate my predicament. I try to push the ship forward, but to no avail. I climb back up onto the poop deck and start exploring the ship. I get to a door that I guess leads below deck when SUDDENLY ZOMBIES! Then I literally pull out something like a kunai dagger out of my ass, I'm not sure exactly what it was (it was a thrown weapon, not a dildo), and manage to kill a single zombie with it. Obviously there are too many zombies so I jump off the boat and run to the back. I push on the boat again, and this time it moves forward a little. So I keep pushing on it, but I can' only move it a very short distance before I have to stop and start pushing again. Well then suddenly the zombies disappeared from the boat, thus making it lighter and easier to push. I'm now pushing this boat full force, charging down this desert like area and running over the occasional zombie with it.
Eventually I come to a mini putt putt course, or to be more accurate a film set of a mini putt putt course. And as mini putt putt courses tend to, this one had a small stream of water for atmosphere or something. I see water and think that's where I'm gonna park my boat. This being The Black Pearl there's no way it would fit, but this is a dream so fuck you physics. I call over some kid in a baseball cap with a headphone mic, a cup of coffee, and a baseball bat. I've never played team fortress 2, but I just found the scout. He helps me drop anchor on this mini putt putt set and I go on my merry way.
Leaving the set, I'm now on a dark street and it's raining profusely. But I'm not getting wet for whatever reason. I run for shelter from the rain in the opening of a very tall building. As I'm walking up the stairs that lead into the building, I hear a voice in the back of my head (it's the same one I hear every so often because I'm fuck crazy). I can't remember exactly what it said, but I'm pretty sure it had something to do with destiny, saving the world, destroying evil, etc. I get to the top of the stairs and there's no 'door' into the building, you just pass two walls that go up forever. I realize this is more like a raised pedestal than a building, and there are six ways to go. Two lead to the desert I was in, two lead to some cartooned forest area thing, and the other two lead back onto the street.
Without slowing down, I continue forward back onto the street despite the rain. I think now would be a good time to mention that there are several recurring places in my dreams. One of them is a school that I've never been to and I don't know what the outside looks like and I've never seen the whole of the inside of the school. One of them is a library that you get to by driving along a cliff and it's embedded into a mountain side. And there are some generic places like a nature path in a forest, a field in a suburban area, etc. Anyway, I'm walking down the street and I see a building I recognize: it's a hospital. At least it looks a lot like a hospital: it says Hospital, there are ambulances in the parking lot, etc. I go into this building thinking it's a hospital, and in the doorway there's a small boy who tells me the doctors are working very hard to save his dad. I tell him everything will be okay and proceed into the building. I am now in the reception area of a hotel. This happens every time (except for that little boy, that was weird) and I never notice. It's a huge lobby (like a mile in all directions) that is very fancy and the check in desk is on the other side.
I make my way quickly to the other side, and by quickly I mean I traveled about a mile in 10 seconds, and I find my mother trying to check in at the desk. There's some trouble with scanning something into the computer. I guess I needed to buy some time or something because I picked up a fruit of some kind on the other side of the desk and said to add it to the bill. I ran up a flight of stairs to the left of the desk onto the second floor and headed for the closest door. I burst out of the door and now I'm standing in a real world location. I'm standing on the side of the highway that is a bit down the road from my house.
Anyway, it's night and there's a lot of traffic on the roads. I mean it's almost bumper to bumper traffic, but everybody is going like 80. I start walking along the highway, when I get yanked into what I think is a cop car by what I think are police officers. I can't remember what they were. They take me to some old building and lock me up in a iron bar cage that is a little bit larger than I am and start injecting me with stuff. I don't know what happened next because I blacked out and woke up later (inside the dream). When I woke up, I was Kyte. Yeah, it's that kind of dream. Anyhow, I had manacles on my ankles with a rather lengthy chain. The chain was long enough for me to run, so there wasn't really a point in them. I thought they were bitchin' though, and made no attempt to take them off.
I was completely alone when I woke up, and the key to the cage was in the lock so I did what any sensible person would do. I unlocked the cage and proceeded to leave the building. I was then standing exactly where they picked me up, and the building was still behind me this time (wherever the fuck it came from). It was either still night or night again, I had no way of knowing. I continue along the highway; traffic still berserk, and I come to the intersection of where the hospital they built a couple blocks away from my house. I'm on the opposite side of the street (not highway) of the hospital and for some reason, I desperately need to be at the hospital. Before I can even attempt to cross the busy street, there are several cars that swerve into the intersection and crash into each other. I find the source of the problem a few meters in front of me: a hot-dog stand looking car/bike thing that doesn't have its lights on.
I ran over to the car/bike thing to help it out. I waved out to traffic so they could see us while he tried to get his lights on. I was standing in front of his car/bike thing when he got his lights back on and was thus blinded. I jump out of the way of the light so I could see. I turned to the driver and he thanked me for my help and then disappeared. As in ceased to exist. Thoroughly unimpressed, I crossed the street and ran to the hospital. I bust through the door, and it's a hotel on the inside except it was properly proportioned to the outside of the building. However, unlike outside, there is daylight coming in through the windows.
I'm now decked out in full military gear (still Kyte) and am greeted by group of furries decked out in military gear too. They don't have don't have time to brief me on the mission before an alarm goes off and I'm told to move out. We're now in an all out gunfight against a group of enemies. As we're fighting I happen to see a man with a red-circle above his head. I figure that's the target and I'm about to shoot him when one of my teammates grabs my shoulder and says, "Don't shoot the man with the circle above his head, we need him alive." I nod in response and then proceed to head-shot every other enemy. We then bull-rush the man with the circle above his head. We pin him to the ground and start to take him away.
Then out of fucking nowhere, large blue letters appear accompanied by a voice that says "Round Won!". The point of view proceeds to shift out to me sitting on my couch at home playing on my laptop. I proceed to say "Well fuck, if that wasn't the crappiest game I've played." I then woke up in my bed thinking, "What a fucking weird dream...I MUST TELL THE WORLD!" So here I am, telling what little of the world I know.

So I just spent the last 12 hours upgrading to Windows 7
General | Posted 15 years agoEverything's going fine, except for one teeny, tiny thing. My color pallet in SAI got erased or something because all my saved colors are gone. It's not like I can't replace them, I can just open any of my drawings and get them back. It's just annoying. All my brushes saved though which is weird they did and my colors didn't.
And before anybody asks me why I'm running Windows instead of going out and wasting my money on a mac because 'it's so much better', fuck off. Both operating systems suck, and I'm not about to write my own. And I'm not gonna use Linux, because I'm too lazy to learn how to use it. I'm just upgrading to 7 because I can't wallow in XP for all my life when the rest of the digital world is moving on.
And before anybody asks me why I'm running Windows instead of going out and wasting my money on a mac because 'it's so much better', fuck off. General | Posted 15 years agoAbout 4 months ago I've drawn wings on Kyte in almost all my guidelines. Obviously I don't draw them in the final picture, but they'd be there if I opened the original .sai file and turned the layer they were drawn on back to visible. I've forgotten why I draw them, it's just kind of become habitual.
Why I hate the art sites I post to and the secret to popufur

Inkbunny helps those that are popular by putting them at the very top of the front page, allowing them to become more popular. Everybody else who might be decent but is otherwise not known, or is new to the art scene and could really use some attention gets a poke in the eye. The only way you're going to be popular posting on IB is if you're already well known enough that everybody will look at your stuff anyway. Or you can be achild cub porn artist, because if you make it small, covered in fur, and being fucked in the ass, everybody will love you.
DeviantArt helps those that are rich, or popular enough to charge insane rates for commissions, to become popular. If you have the cash, then they'll advertise you on peoples' pages who don't have the cash. If you don't hand over a part of your pay-check on a regular basis, they'll just shove your art off the front page where it'll get pushed off by pictures of somebody's dick or stick figure (or animu) comics making a joke about somebody's dick.
Furaffinity helps those who antagonize the site. If you thought I was going to say it helps fetish porn artists, it does that too, but it does a better job at making trolls the most famous around. If the staff don't do anything about them, they wave their smelly dick around for all to see, spamming hate messages on the front page. When the staff get around to doing something, they grab the troll and wave its smelly dick all over the site saying "DUN DO THIS! IT MAEKS DRAMA AND WE DON'T NEED THAT!". And then every furry on the site will have realized this makes drama, so everybody has to make a journal or post a submission with no pic, but instead a text wall of shit. Because if there's a bandwagon, FA will jump on it like a fat kid on ice-cream cake.
Artspots is nice. There's just nobody there. If you want to become popular there, you have to have a college level degree in art, and then run over to the forum and show some of your arts showing that you understand all the theories in art and have the technical skill to prove it. They will then mark you as a 'champion' and you'll have your own section in the 'browse' tab with the other champions. I don't really have an opinion on this site though, been on it for a week and only have two submissions on it.
Facebook, isn't really an artsite, but I dump there too. Facebook sucks because it makes everything a .jpeg and shrinks to smaller than 720x720. And dear lord does it show. Facebook is nice in that you can share your art with all your 'friends'. All 600 people you 'friended', you can now force your art upon until somebody likes it.
Comicfury has the same problem as Artspots AND deviant art. You have to befriend the community to become popular on the site, but there's like 40 people that post to the forum, and only 20 of them are regulars. They all like to huddle together and circle jerk eachother with bad jokes, puns, and bandwagons. So if you want to get a good following, it usually involves having money and hosting advertisements off site. Don't get me wrong, the community is really great, and everybody is nice, but you have to break into their clique and they do their best to scare you off with inside jokes if you post an introduction thread.

Snowfall: I used up my queue and have a question

General | Posted 15 years agoI found my old race/character page while cleaning my room. Apparently I had printed it off. :D This is awesome because I thought it was lost forever when my dad formatted the computer it had been on so he could update to Windows 7. This is great news because it now means I can update the casts' information for anybody who cared. This also means I have the lore for Humans and the Zythix.

General | Posted 15 years agoI have seen several million journals about it now, all raging how their favorite porns are getting banned because there's legislation forming (if not already passed) against CP in every single country that uses the internet. Oh noes, you can't fap to your favorite poorly drawn sonichu porn anymore. BAAAAWWWW! I might be more upset if the art was tasteful, but it's not. It's porn. Boo fucking hoo. Nothing of value was lost. All the porn on FA could disappear, and it wouldn't affect me at all. I think only 3 of the artists I'm watching draw mature content. And only occasionally at best. And it's not why I'm watching them. And I'm not saying I don't like porn, I'm just saying I don't like porn on FA.

^I made a forum, because I'm an asshat who is trying to be popular and loved. With the comic being hosted offsite, I realized it would make discussion of said comic a bit hard for those who wished to continue reading it, but didn't want to register on ComicFury. Now, I don't expect anybody to use it, it's just there if you want to use it. It's also there so if I do become more popular, people will have a place to go that's already been made. It's called planning ahead. Or something smart sounding like that.

If you use facebook a lot (or a little), I would be greatly pleased if you went over and liked the page and shared it with your friends whom you think would be interested. For those that don't know, though I'm sure you do, it's a site where users give daily votes to comics in attempt to get them in the top 100. It would bring me great joy if you voted for my comic even once a month, as every vote counts. Again, I'm not saying you have to, it's just there if you would like to.
Also, the comic will have caught up by January 15, and original content will begin posting the next week In case you're intrested. There will also be original content on December 25th that I may or may not post here. :P It's not relevant to the storyline or anything, it's just something you guys haven't seen.

General | Posted 15 years agoFirst, you look through my gallery you'll notice I changed the name to 'Snowfall'. 'Shadow's Bane' was a working title so it could be identified. 'Snowfall' is also a working title, except it makes more sense in the context of the story. Or something like that, I don't know I'm horrible with names. But I digress.
If any of my watchers are interested in following the comic further, I'm moving it to ComicFury. It can be found at http://Snowfall.thecomicseries.com/ , http://Snowfall.the-comic.org/ , http://Snowfall.thecomicstrip.org/ , and http://Snowfall.webcomic.ws/ . It doesn't matter which link you use, they all go to the same place. I don't know why they gave me so many links, but they did.
I've only posted three pages, and will update every Saturday. So it's gonna take till January 8th to catch up. This is good and bad for anybody who wants to read it. It's bad because there won't be a new update for those who've read to page 8/10/whatever until much later. It's good because I'll have plenty of time to work on the pages in advance. At least until my cache runs out.
I'm moving it because I want more people than just those who browse FA to read it. If it ever became big enough, I was going to move it anyway. This is just a preemptive type of thing. I hope anybody who was following it understands.
