I know I totally don't have the fanbase or interest in my work to pull this off but I'm raising money through Patreon as well as commissions and work to go towards a refurbished studio and new supplies for my work! Yaaaaaaaah I got my ER bills in the mail and for both visits I'm looking at 2000 usd together (1000 a piece). The person who actually did anything for me cost me about 200 bucks but in the ER I just sat there and got diagnosed incorrectly twice. I'm still waiting to hear back from MedAssist so hopefully they'll take care of it since I have about 20 bucks all together to my name. They really helped out the other day and took a 300 usd bill for bloodwork down to 11 which was a godsend! So here's hoping! c:

I'm sorry I haven't been posting as often as I'd like. We're coming up on finals soon in about a month and this painting class is really taking it out of me. My digital illustration class I know is gonna kill me in the next week or so with character sheets and our final paintings. I've also been working on my convention stuff that I'll need in July. I'm hoping to have a comic out by then too so I should probably be working on that too OuO;;; I'm only doing two conventions this year so I can stock up on products and save my money. One of the tables I wanna get is about 400 usd O___O; and I'll need hotel and gas/food on top of all that!

Good news from work though! I got a paycheck coming in the mail and then I'll be working on commission until the project is finished. He talked about wanting to keep me on commission for other projects as well.

The last couple of weeks I've had my blood taken and I've gotten needle stabbed like 6 times, labs sent away, yadda yadda. (There was a mistake by the lab so I had to have it taken more than once :T ]. I finally got my bloodwork back today. My T levels are up to 92 and my E levels are 2. Just 2.

I'm being referred to Columbus so I'm gonna be driving 2 hours every so often for appointments to get hormones. All this crap because my body refuses to function normally TTATT

Due to a bit of serendipity (the class I needed this semester was full), I only have 3 classes this semester therefore have more time to draw commissions! I really need the extra money, it's not a life or death situation, I'm not losing my living arrangements or my jobs, I just need a few extra bucks.

The job I took at the comic company isn't paying me like it's supposed to as we had an investor leave us high and dry. My boss is currently looking for a new investor but this has left me without pay for over 6 months while he continues to hire more people. I'm expected to go on my own dime to promote my boss's comic at comic conventions and the like but hey! Can't really do that without money. I'm working another job on top of this but it isn't paying for groceries and medical bills on top of trying to go to conventions to AA for a boss that doesn't pay me :/ I would leave but I'm legally bound by a contract until the project is finished TTATT

But Kyung! Your mom buys all the groceries! Not exactly. I'm trying to get on a more vegetarian/vegan diet to help with weight loss (as well as exercising every day!) but my mom will not buy anything deemed 'healthy'. Seriously, it's all starch and junk food in my house and I get guilted out any time I ask for vegetables/fruits/anything healthy because I tend to hoard it due to her not buying it that often and she deems it as me 'not eating it'. I have a crap ton of medical problems and hormonal problems, some of them caused by my weight. While some of them I actually need to seek medical attention for, I figured I could make a dent by losing weight and just getting generally healthier so my MD won't overlook everything and just blame it on me 'being fat'.

Again, my situation isn't dire, it isn't life or death, I'm not getting evicted and I'm not losing my job. I just need a little extra scratch here and there and if you could help that would be great and I would honestly appreciate it forever.

Yarg, my list of things I need just keeps piling up. The cord in my tablet bit it the other day so now it barely works and I got to hold it into place. I'm thinking about buying a wireless kit for my tablet from Wacom instead of new cords since this one's connection doesn't seem to like to hold them. I'm also going to need to buy my dog a harness, walking on a collar isn't comfortable for him. It's a hot mess over here!

So, class has started today for me and as I previously stated in my last journal, I am so sorry I haven't been posting and keeping up with posting and replying and rewatching people on here since I've been working. If you don't know I'm currently interning as a full time illustrator at a comic book company. As soon as my internship is up I'll be working at the company full time as lead illustrator on a project and a supplemental artist on another project.

Well, now I'm working that 12 hour shift 7 days a week while taking four studio classes this semester as a Full Time Student at the Academy. The classes I have this semester are:

FA213-Introduction to Anatomy (More medically intensive than I had imagined it to be)
GAM275-Concept Art for Games 1
ILL101-First Year Seminar for Illustrators (This is a new class that's been added this semester and I HAVE to take it to graduate despite the fact that I'm a Sophomore.)
ILL192-Comics:Pencils and Inks 1

I know it doesn't seem like a lot of classes but these classes, like my others, are incredibly work intensive. I learn A LOT and grow a lot as an artist each time I take one and that's, of course, invaluable to me.

On top of all that, I'm also doing the Artists Alley at Tsubasacon in October, so, I guess what I am trying to say is that I'm going to be stretched incredibly thin, time, emotionally, and art-wise until the end of the year so my online presence may become minimal.

I love you guys and I hope I can revive my online presence soon. I really miss interacting with all the art communities I am a part of <3

Well it's official now! I've signed my contracts for the internship and am now employed doing pencils for comic books. That's just what he has me on now but I'll also be helping with character and creature design and working as a supplemental artist on an already started project, but this new project is all me. I'm really super excited, once the internship's over he's expressed interest in keeping me on commission since the company is so small but any experience I get's gonna be great.

Woke up this morning to a bad storm and found that my room was once again flooded.

I'm cleaning up the mess now when all I want to do is sleep through a storm without being worried and scared. I'm incredibly lucky in the fact that I have family that's able to pay for the damages and get my wall fixed where it has been leaking.

Here's where the Emergency part comes in:

Anything I want to put in my room has to come out of my own pocket.

I am so lucky that I had two powerstrips become COMPLETELY soaked and not spark a fire in my room but I don't know how 'lucky' I can keep myself. To keep my electronics and such running I need to buy wall mounts/wall mounted power strips if for nothing else but safety's sake.

If anybody's interested in helping (I know that there are definitely more deserving people out there who have real emergencies and real problems who need the donations but any little bit helps me out here), I'm just looking to raise 100 or so USD to cover a powerstrip that I found online and would need two of (This would cover both strips and their shipping), let me know, I'm willing to greatly discount my commissions and work with you.

It's been a tough year monetarily for me and I'm trying to save as much money as I can as I'm trying to raise 7k for a technology overhaul (New, Custom Built Mac computer, Scanners/Printers, storage devices and hard drives for said things). I'm in desperate need of new technology and if anybody's familiar with any good scanners/printers would you be as kind as to recommend them to me? I'm looking for one that'll scan and print various sizes (Possibly up to poster sizes and junk), but I'm just looking for a good, solid scanner/printer.

I keep seeing these adorable shrink acrylic things and I've gotten a few at cons. I'd like to have some made up for the cons I go to to have them put on pencil bags and such but I can't find out ANYTHING about getting them printed. Does anybody have any info on these? D:

Almost done for the semester and I'm closing out with a bunch of giant projects (=A=)/ My interview keeps getting pushed back and back but that's okay, more time to work on finals.

My Survey of Science Fiction and Fantasy class has a World Building Assignment for the week. The world I created has so many tribes and species that I couldn't fill out the form just once, but thirty times. So I'm also doing a lineup sheet to show off the tribe that inhabit Orelma. I'm doing waaaaaaaaaaay too much work but I want to impress this teacher.

So last night my refrigerator exploded leaving my upstairs kitchen, the basement, and my bedroom flooded, AGAIN. I've lost all my art from 2008 through GODMODE. Kinda sucks (Okay not KINDA SUCKS, kinda I sat and cried like a five year old girl watching her pony get massacred for 20 minutes). However this prompted us to get all new kitchen appliances, a shop vac, and season 3 of True Blood so that makes me happy but MAN. I'm tired of waking up to find my room wet! I might as well declare myself a nudibranch and just live in it lol!

Okay so most of you watching me know I'm an epileptic and have been for some time now. Well I haven't had a seizure in a few years now...until last night. YUP. I thought I may have outgrown them but I haven't ;A;

Anyway, other than shorting out my brain and having some sore muscles and a chewed up tongue I'm okay so don't worry! I'll be back up to speed in a couple days :3
