So, since I have a few days off, I've decided to do something crazy. I'll let you wonder what Sway considers crazy for a moment............ .... ....... ....... .......... ...............

Posted 13 years agoIt seems my life is quickly spiraling out of control. Everytime I dig my nails into the sides, something else happens.
I certainly do not assume I deserve to have happiness all the time. To think such thoughts is to think yourself higher than anyone else. Which I don't.
But one unnecessary stress after another is taking it's toll. I was talking to a good friend of mine last night who helped me a lot. I feel stronger because of their words. Like I'm capable of handling this.
The main problem, is when I handle it, something....or rather, someone brings up more unnecessary stress. Pointlessness brought about by assumptions and conjured up ideas. This is why caring "too" much, can cause more harm. You start to read into little things that aren't even there, wondering what is or what could be. Eventually those thoughts fester, and grow into accusations and flat out lies. You think so much to the point that you actually believe them, and end up hurting the person you care about.
I am spiraling out of control at the moment, due to assumptions. Due to thoughts. Seems...pointless.

Posted 13 years agoSo I've started drawing again! Haven't been feeling as shitty anymore, and it seems to have helped kickstart my creative side. It's rough when you have no will to do anything, or are too sad to be creative enough to draw. I'll finish my last GoW commission pieces in the next few days and open up completely for commissions. Feel free to hit me up now with a note if you would like a commission, but I won't be accepting payment until my last three previous commissions are done.
I've been FINALLY working on comic stuff again, which is awesome. Hopefully a front cover to come soon, as well as finalized character art for the main characters, and mutated.

I've been having trouble with work lately. Normally I quite like work, sure I have my off days where I hate everything, or don't want to get up for work in the morning. But those are rare times. Lately, these passed two weeks. I can't STAND work.
Every customer that walks in the door seems to annoy me to no end. Like hopping over the counter and beating them senseless would be more satisfying than simply ringing them through, and letting them be on their way.
Also one of the owners, the Boss' sister is down helping for Valentine's, which is great. But they're both moving the shop around, reorganizing and such. Which again, is good. But they always want to include me, ask me to either do something myself, or ask for input. Eager to help, I do. Then the next day they either do over what I did before, or shoot down my ideas. And hey, I get it. They own the place, if I did, i would want it done my way too. But it's both a waste of my time, and theirs if they continue to do this. Just tell me what to do, and I'll do it. I'm not getting paid enough for all of this.
I have no problem listening to what I'm told to do at work. But when I come in the next day, only to find what I did the day before changed around, it's like..."what?". It's not so much I'm annoyed because they keep changing my things, I'm annoyed because it's just a big waste of time. Tell me what to do and how you want it done at the start, and bang. It will get done right at the start.
On other news, working on commissions again, should have one up tonight!

Posted 14 years agoSo I still haven't been able to catch up on anything. All I've managed to do is play MGS4 3 times in a row, MGS3 twice, and comtemplating suffering Raiden to play MGS2. I just can't seem to bring myself to do anything. Not out of laziness, but I've felt SO depressed lately that i can't seem to pull my head out of the sand. I've been so down I haven't had the will to draw, and even just getting up in the morning seems difficult. My sleep schedule is completely messed up, which doesn't help either.
I know all about depression, and what not to do, as I've had it before. The worst thing you can do is not talk about it. And I'm also aware I have NO reason to think this way. I'm healthy, my family is healthy, I have a good job, life is good. I just don't feel like it is.
It all seems so pointless. What does it mean? Where am I going? Why should I care? Again, WHY am I thinking this way!? It drives me absolutely CRAZY. I just know I have to get out of this rut soon, or else.
Commissioners, thanks for being patient, I WILL get your stuff done, just bare with me. If you feel you don't want to wait, I can refund you too, no problem.

Posted 14 years agoSo now that I only have a few commissions to worry about, I've slowly been getting caught up on work, and just daily life stuff. A few weeks after I'm completely caught up, I'll be offering another Commission deal in my journal. I want to do something different, and fun. Possibly a deal on full color? If I did I would only be having a few slots, 4 or so, so I can keep up. I am not the fastest at coloring, but hopefully with practice I will be.
I get two days off starting tomorrow, which will allow me rest time, and time to work on the remaining GoW commissions I have...and of course, more time to play Metal Gear >_>;
I'm also going to be posting a blog, retaining to video games. Kind of like a review system. I'm almost ready to post the first entry, which is starting off with MGS3. So stay tuned. I will post another journal entry about it when it's up. I got the idea from a friend of mine on DA, who started a blog about the books she reads. It really got me in the mood, so I decided to start my own.

I have hoped to get more done in the way of arting these passed few weeks, but seeing as yesterday was my only day off, I spent it grocery shopping, and having some R&R (aka, playing some games). I thought I would be able to handle the one day off thing but it's been absolutely brutal. I get my one day off, do all my cleaning, laundry, other crap done...then it's right back to work! It's worn me into the ground and I feel absolutely miserable because of it. Having said all this, I have no idea how I'll manage once I'm in school and working at the shop fulltime. It might not happen...which worries me. My boss totally relies on me since she's disabled, and good help has been hard to find. To top the 6 day work week, I have to walk to and from work, which is almost an hour...and I'm not in the best of shape right now so I'm beat when I get to work.
UGH. I just want a break! I wanna bury my head in the sand! *facedesk*

SOPA and PIPA Awareness!
Posted 14 years agoIf you hadn't already noticed the Administrator notice, look now. It's trying to raise awareness about the two bills, SOPA and PIPA....which will kill the internet as we know it. Look these two bills up to truly understand what it would do to the internet, effectively ruining it for all of us. Seeing as I'm Canadian, I can't do much more right now than try to raise awareness about this. We all know Canada will follow the US in whatever they do, including passing the same bills. So this will eventually effect us Canadians as well. Please, let's all use the only thing we have to stop the Governments from doing moronic things, the voice we have when all spoken together.
Also! As well as writing letters, or contacting congress...raise general awareness about these two bills!
Now onto ARTS!
So I didn't get a chance to start my Iron artist on Sunday like intended. I recently bought a new capture card to be able to record video from my Xbox 360. I've been wanting to create my own fan GoW videos for quite some time. The card didn't work, and I've spent that last 3 days trying to fix it. I did start the first picture however, and plan to finish it today after work, and continue with the list!
