MFF and Puppy Gathering Recap 2015
Posted 10 years agoWhat an absolute blast Midwest FurFest (MFF) was this year. I must congratulate them on a fantastic con, but also shattering their record of attendance from 4700 last year to a whopping 5600. This makes MFF the 2nd biggest con in the world!
I first wanted to thank everyone who attended my unofficial MFF puppy community gathering at the con. It was a huge success with over 60+ attendees. Lots of furries, puppies and Handlers new to the puppy community were able to meet others in the community for the 1st time, which made them happy and me as well. Everyone got along and many great conversations were shared amongst one another. I was especially happy to see lots of the puppies getting to romp around the meet and sniff in their hoods ^ ^. Again thank you all for coming *wags*
Later on Saturday night, I went down to Cell Block in downtown Chicago. Justin StClair, Justin Oliver Hartman (Pup Tork) and Chicago pup community threw an unofficial welcoming party for me. I was beyond touched and honored being there and the warm, welcoming reception I received by the community.
Aside from the events, I got to dance at some amazing DJ sets, romp around the awesome lounge area where I met up with friends (some who I havent seen in years), hang out with great friends at parties, and both fursuit/pup out around the con. I barely slept because I was having so much fun. If there were one thing I would change, it would be to have more time at the con, for it went by too quickly. Again, overall spectacular con and weekend! *gives many nuzzles and wags* ^ ^

Unofficial Organized Puppy Play Gathering at MFF on Sat!!

So I tallied all the votes I received from all of you amongst several different social media sites and chat clients on what day you all would like to have the unofficial organized puppy gathering at MFF. The votes are in and the winner by a majority vote is Saturday!!
(I know Saturday might not work for everyone and I am truly sorry if you will be unable to attend the event that day. Events and cons like these, as we all know and aware, are super busy ones with a lot going on, so it’s very hard if not almost impossible to find a time that works for every single person).
So without further ado, here are the details:

There is a lot of fun things going on at the con following the Meet and Sniff such as the Furry Variety Show at 6:30pm, Floor Wars Dance Battles at 8pm, and our kick ass DJs tearing up the Saturday Night Dance starting at 10pm and ending at 2am to name a few.

These times are based on the con schedule, times that work between major events so you don't miss any of them and from personal experience. PAHs Without Borders - A Community Initiative

I am happy to announce the launch of my community initiative PAHS Without Borders.
You may be asking what exactly is PAHs without Borders.
Description:
It's a community project to promote mentorship, support and conversations between pups and Handlers all around the world in the effort to give every pup and Handler a chance to grow, be heard and loved.
As social media grows, so does the ability to connect and reach out to others, especially in places that were never possible before. Also within that power, others that were once feeling shut off from most of the world, now have the ability to have a voice and reach out to others in the community.
We live in a vastly huge world, some places where there might not even be an active community or any other pups/Handlers in their area for one to reach out to. The only means might be social media.
PAHs without Borders encourages others to reach out to those who are looking for someone to start a dialogue, gain a mentor, and/or experience the joys that the community has to offer even if it can’t be in person at that time.
Just a simply phone call, text, Skype session, even pupping out time over a video chat between a mentor and Handler/puppy for example, can create a huge difference in a puppy or Handler’s life. You never know, you might even create a lifelong connection or gain a puppy or Handler in the process.
Reach out and extend that hand or paw!

Sunday is the third day of events with The BBQ from 2pm onwards held at Cuff Seattle 1533 13th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122, part of Paw and Pounce Weekend, Aug 14-16, 2015.
Come for some food and drinks for another opportunity to socialize, mosh, and enjoy a BBQ with Daddy Rodney ( Samuel Shimizu ) and myself . After the fun of the weekend, food will definitely be a great way to wrap up a fun event.

Hosted by Nightcat and Members of the Seattle Pup group along with some guest speakers will be sharing their knowledge of pup play along with a live mosh demo. I also will be one of the guest speakers
It will be a very fun and informative panel and everyone is welcome :)

Really sucks because was looking forward to hanging and seeing everyone but it happens.
