For the first time in over a year, I'm opening my commissions again! 😄 Right now I'm doing a limit of three spots, all badges-- I'll open for illustrations after FC in January :3
I'll be accepting badges that follow these themes: Cosplay, Day of the Dead, and Goo/Candy Gore.
Cosplay badges will feature your character from the mid-thigh and up, dressed as a character from an anime, manga, movie, comic, etc. You will receive a 4x6 inch badge, complete with clip. It will most likely be a combination of digital and traditional, and you will receive the original drawing along with the badge. Prices start at $60 each and will only increase if your character or the chosen cosplay is super complicated (think multiple limbs/heads, complex armor, that sort of thing). This price also includes shipping if you are unable to pick up at FC.

Day of the Dead badges are headshots (this means either a floating head, or from the shoulders and up) of your character with Day of the Dead makeup and possible other details. These badges are often around 3x3 inches or more, will be laminated and come with a badge clip. Many are done traditionally, but they can also be done digitally if so requested. Prices start at $30 and will only increase if your character is complicated (again, such as multiple heads, tentacles coming out of the head, etc). This price includes shipping if you are unable to pick up at FC.
Goo/Candy Gore badges are a bit flexible. These can be headshots to full body, though please be aware prices will fluxuate depending on which you chose. These badges begin at $30 and can increase in price from there. For example, $30 will be a headshot, $60 will be from the thighs up, and so on. The type of gore I draw is always on the cute side and these badges shall be done traditionally. This price includes shipping if you are unable to pick up at FC.
I reserve the right to accept and deny commission at my own discretion. Payment in full is required up front via Paypal before I begin work. Thank you for understanding!

I've been working hard at my website and also doing a huge overhaul of my Etsy shop, both of which are due to reopen on June 13th, woo! Been super busy with other life things, visiting family, adult stuff with taxes and the like, and only recently wrapped up my last working con of the year.
I'll be uploading here again soon, mostly likely after my website and Etsy are up. Those two projects are taking up all my spare time right now.
Ah! And I now stream regularly on Twitch every Monday through Thursday from 6 to 10p PST :D Provided something like a headache doesn't get in my way, this will be my new norm :3 You can me here: http://www.twitch.tv/DuckehDraws

BLFC is just around the corner, so here's some info on where to find me and all that other good stuff :)

I'm going to have lots of prints with me, as well as originals! There will also be my art books, stickers, and some pre-made badges. The only commissions I'm planning on taking will be googley eye badges, maybe a few sketch commissions. I might make a few exceptions, but most likely not as I want to continue focusing on my personal work. crookedwolf will be my lovely booth babe all weekend long, and my fabulous neighbors

This year I won't be in the Den, but I -will- be at crookedwolf's table in the Marketplace! We're number 14, next to the main entrance for the Den. My honey will have plenty of wonderful new prints to share with everyone, and he'll also be taking commissions :D I myself will be offering googly eye badges for $10 each, as well as other commissions people would like after the con. As I am basically closed for commissions at the moment, the only way to currently get a spot with me will be reserving one during FC this weekend :3 Space is limited! I'm only taking commissions this way right now (not through the internet, in other words), so if you've been wanting something, now is your chance :D
We'll be arriving later tonight and shall be around all weekend! Check out crookedwolf's stuff in the art show, both in the adult and non-adult sections :) I'll either be at his table or running around, so just look for the chubby girl with cotton candy hair :D

Update on commissions, life, etc

My universe is kiiiinda ridiculous. This year has been a whirlwind of changes for me and I still feel like I'm being tossed around, trying to grab onto something to steady myself, buuuut that won't be happening for a while-- at least not until after Thanksgiving XD
Once my last two commissions are complete, I will be closed for commissions for a long while. I'll only be taking new commissions at cons or if I post something online about taking them. What I'm going to be doing is focusing on ME, and doing the kind of art -I- want to do that I've not had the time to do for a long while now. I feel sort of... out of touch, I suppose, with my art these days. I feel like I'm just going through the motions, getting commissions done, and focusing on everyone else but me. While I very much love the commissions I've been given and am happy with the results of them, I want to be able to experiment more without doing so at the cost of someone else.
So! This means once I'm caught up, commissions will be closed unless otherwise noted, and I'll be working on my own personal projects (I have quite the list going right now).
My next furcon is PAWcon in San Jose at the end of the month, then I'll be attending FC in January, though I won't have a booth, I will only be there helping out my honey, crookedwolf at his table in the Marketplace. After that, it'll be CaliFur in June. I'm pulling back on the number of cons I do for now so I can save money and continue to focus on myself.
Life is CRAZY for me, but in a good way, and I look forward to sharing new pieces with you guys soon!

CaliFur Wrap Up
Posted 10 years agoBack from another successful con <3 Didn't get sick, met lots of amazing people, bought my first piece of original art, and my honey and I celebrated our unofficial one year anniversary :D <3 CaliFur is always a small con, and this con felt a little weird (quieter than usual and just a generally odd feeling), but I still had a fantastic time. People flipped over my Sailor Moon of the Dead stuff, which has me super excited because I have more plans for it that I shall be working on between my commissions >.> I also met my first ever fangirl, who told me she was SO HAPPY when she saw I was gonna be there. It was so freaking cute and I -still- feel all warm and fuzzy about it X3 Thank you for spazzing, it totally made my day! Don't ever stop showing your excitement and happiness :D
Now that I'm back home, I'm gonna be tackling my commissions queue, adding more stuff to Etsy and RedBubble, and get a Sotrenvy shop up and running :3 My next con will be APE in October, so it is time to kick some ass between now and then :D
I'll be working my way through emails and notes, contacting new and old commissioners, and posting lots of WIP stuff to Twitter and Tumblr, while also taking care of more real life stuff, like renewing my license and finding a general doctor X_x Hnnnnggg. Keep an eye on your mail boxes, and check here and Twitter for updates! I realize I'm slow, and my arm is pretty sore, but I promise I'll get to things as quickly as I can.

Omfg, CaliFur is almost here! HNNNG. Crookedwolf and I will be heading down on Thursday with lots of art and awesomeness in tow! We both have tables this year right next to each other in a rather awesome spot. His table will be mostly earth tones, while mine will be a rainbow explosion-- it'll be tough to miss us XD We both have artwork in the art show as well, so please check it out if you're going :3 My buddy 
milkteatown will be my assistant Saturday and Sunday, so our area will be just BURSTING with cuteness every which way :D

Posted 10 years agoHNNNG, oh BLFC, I love you, but why oh why did you have to give me food poisoning? ;_; Plus I was already feeling a little sick the day we left for the con, but MAN, I just... Ick. I've been sick all week and still feel a bit woosy and gross, so I've spent all damn week in bed trying to recover. I'm definitely better than I was, but I still need to take it easy.
Soon it shall be time for CaliFur, which is rapidly approaching! Crookedwolf and I are prepping day and night (or I will be once I can handle being out of bed for more than five minutes X_x) for it. While he does his thing, I'm looking to bring in some new goodies for the con, provided I can unsick long enough to get certain things ready, as well as update my display a bit more. I've also got some new original work in progress that will be for sale in the art show :D All Sailor Moon themed of course ;)
I am also offering Sailor Moon badges as pre-orders ONLY right now! They are $45 a piece currently, but the price will increase slightly after the con, so order now or at-con to get them at this price :3 These types of badges I can't do at-con anymore, as they take me far too long and I want them to look absolutely amazing for you :D So now they are take-home ONLY. WE MOVED! HUZZAH!

crookedwolf and I moved into our very first rental! :D AHHH! It's so exciting! It happened all at once, sooner than we were prepared for, and everything has pretty much been turned on its head @.@ Slowly but surely stuff is getting unpacked and organized, art is going up on the walls, and things are being installed. Right now we only have internet via our cell phones (hot spot ftw!) so I am WAY behind on everything internet-related. My art supplies are also still packed up, but I hope to remedy that this weekend and be able to get back to work on commissions.
Just wanted to post a super quick update so you all didn't think I died XD We'll be getting proper internet installed next week, and a fridge delivered! Woo! My fucking kingdom for a fridge @.@
Thank you everyone for your patience as we deal with this move (and other stuff in my personal life that went BOOM all at the same time as this move) and we work to get settled and back into the swing of things. I promise we're spending every moment we can on getting our house up and running :)

February is off to one hell of a start!

crookedwolf and I are looking at places to move in together starting this week :D We'll be picking up apps and checking places out around Northern California, though no city in particular. We just want a nice house that's quiet with lots of light to make into our own little art nerd haven :3
While this is going on I'll be working on finishing up commissions and getting those mailed out asap. I have quite the list right now, so your patience is much appreciated while I work as quickly as I can :)
I'm also working on joining more sites right now, such as Inkbunny and Patreon. There's so much to do with editing profiles, uploading work, taking videos, and all the other misc stuff that comes with starting a new profile somewhere. I'll post on here once everything is going, but especially once my Patreon is all set up. I'm really excited to get that one going :D I'll also be taking out ad space here on FA in the near future once I figure out what ads I want to have.
I've also got a new streaming place, Picarto! I'm going to start streaming regularly, at least one day a week for sure, with the rest of the days being whatever I feel like. At the moment I'm still working out what day and time is best to make my regular time, so I'll be experimenting with that a bit this month. Once I have an established schedule, I'll post that on my profile.
Right now my life is pretty much moving and commissions XD If you follow me on Twitter, that's where I'll be posting most of my little updates about the move, art WIPs, and other misc things while all this is going on :3

FC 2015 Recap & Badly Needed Vacation Time

I was so swamped the entire weekend and I was totally not expecting that. Lots of people loved the Googley eye badges I do, and that was great to see. Also plenty of people wanted Sailor Moon badges and loved my Sailor Scouts of the Dead series, so that was pretty awesome :3
I was drawing nonstop during the con, and even broke my personal rule of not working after Den hours, but I did anyway to get some of the work done. It was really tough for me to keep up with demand, a problem that's new for me XD More and more people came up to me saying they knew me from Twitter or other various websites, and it was so very flattering to me. I LOVED meeting you all, and you guys really did make me feel super special and amazing :3 Like, I am still flustered at the reaction I got from everyone during FC, and I feel all flattered and sparkly and wiggly XDD This con really helped confirm to me that I'm doing the right thing by further persuing furry art and working my butt off to do these cons. I can't say thank you enough to everyone who made this possible, and to all of those who came by my table during the con.
I'm forcing myself to take these next two weeks off to recuperate. I've been working constantly the last 6 months or more on projects. I did a collaborative book with a friend which we self published and premiered in November, and I've had a con every single month for the last three months, something that is new for me. My arm is really friggin' sore from all this work, so in order to not hurt myself, I'll be taking this time off. During this break I'm going to be organizing my inventory, updating all my websites, getting an ad together to put up on FA, and looking at rental places with Crookedwolf to move once we find the right spot :3 I'll also be catching up on rest, cleaning out my closet and room, and watching lots of Netflix.
Once again, it was wonderful meeting everyone at FC, and I can't wait to see you all again soon!

I'm currently working on finishing up original work and framing said original work for the FC 2015 art show, as well as smaller originals that I'll be selling at my table. This means I've put commissions on hold till after the con so I can focus on getting this work done in time for FC. After the con, I'ma take a week or two off to relax after these last few busy months, then I shall resume work.

I wanted to make a PSA that with Christmas and New Year's coming up, I'll be slower with the output of commissions taken at MFF. I'll do what I can, but I'll be spending time with family next week, and thus I won't be working as much. Please take this into consideration as to why your commission may be slow :)
I'm also working on getting new art ready for FC, so this is being balanced in with the commission work.

I've been working on it non-stop the last few months, and now the con is finally here! GAAAAH.
I shall be in the main hall (Hall A) near the demo area (CTNers Live) at T-99 with my buddy Nicola Hwang visiting all the way from Singapore :D Her art is amazing, go check it out!
We've been working on a collaborative artbook which shall be debuting at the show! It's caaaaalllled *drum roll*~
Of Fur and Feather: Tigers, ducks, and babes, oh my!
We've both been working hard on this and are so proud of it. We're excited to see people's reactions to it :)
CTN is an amazing con, I've been going for five yrs, and this is my second year exhibiting. I'm in a perfect spot, right where I can watch all the demos and see all the people and just ohertisheuihsei AWESOMENESS.
Along with our book, we'll have prints, buttons, and bookmarks available :) If you would like a critique or a demo, we can do that too! Please don't be afraid to ask :D

We've both been working hard on this and are so proud of it. We're excited to see people's reactions to it :)
CTN is an amazing con, I've been going for five yrs, and this is my second year exhibiting. I'm in a perfect spot, right where I can watch all the demos and see all the people and just ohertisheuihsei AWESOMENESS.
Along with our book, we'll have prints, buttons, and bookmarks available :) If you would like a critique or a demo, we can do that too! Please don't be afraid to ask :D
As you can probably tell I'm mega excited for this XD I'll try to update Twitter as much as I can while I'm at the con, but it's tough to do so as often as I would like.
Hope I see some of you there! :D And not even two weeks after CTN, it'll be time for MFF! @.@

As you may or may not know, I shall be at MFF for the first time this year in the dealer's room :3 What does this mean for you? Time to place pre-orders! Want a fancy new badge for the con? Want one that's themed? Or even not themed? Want an awesome room sign? Well hai there :D While I will indeed be offering commissions at con, I highly recommend pre-ordering from me, as I often get slammed at cons and don't have time to do anything super detailed.
So if you would like a room sign featuring yourself and all your roommates, now's the time! Prices range from $20 to $40, depending on the characters involved (how many, how detailed, etc) and will be headshots done digitally or traditionally, maybe a mix of both depending.

Crazy Con Season Prep, CTNX, MFF, FC, & More!

UHH I dunno where to start, haha XD I'm constantly working on my half of the art book I'm doing with a friend, which I have due on November 1st, and then I have to format everything and send it off to the book maker company so everything is done on time for CTNX, which is November 21st-23rd in Burbank, CA. I have other con stuff to get done for it, on top of prepping for MFF and FC @.@
Right now that's pretty much all I'm doing is con prep. I've not been going to many social events, just holed up in my room or at my boyfriend's, working on art 24/7.
I leave for MFF a week after CTNX @.@ I have a roommate for it now, though I would be open to a third person if I can find one on time :D I'm in the main con hotel, of course, since I'm a dealer this year. I'll be doing commissions, and will have a handful of prints with me, though not nearly as much as I have at other cons since I'll be flying out.
EDIT: I has roommates! Huzzah! :D
FC feels like it's right around the corner! My wonderful boyfriend crookedwolf shall be my assistant this year, and will have examples of his own work on hand for people to look at :) I also have two panels in the artshow, one in the regular art area, one in the adult area. I'll be doing commissions, selling prints, and will also have buttons and my artbooks! Hopefully I'll also have a few more surprises for the con ;)
Not a whole lot else to say, I'm seriously just working on art non-stop, trying not to overwork my arm while I keep to my deadlines and get all the art stuff done.
