I'm mainly active on deviantART. FA is fine, but most of the art I do is not specifically "furry" in nature, so I get a little bit better/bigger of an audience there. My dA for the time being is the same as my FA, but I'm thinking of changing the handle to match the name of my art studio.

My big question for the people who like my art is - would you rather I have a Weasyl account? There seems to be a large migration to there, and while it's a huge pain in the butt to operate on multiple sites as it is, I'm willing to do it if everyone seems to think it's worth it.

Hi all, miss me? Well great news - I'll be at AC!

I don't actually have a room, we sort of got screwed by this four people to a room bullshit that the Westin is pulling, so Skul and I will probably just be taking naps in the car or wherever we can throughout and trying to power through without legitimate sleep. Unless you'd like to give us roomspace, then by all means, do! lol!


If all goes well, we will be arriving Thursday morning so we can catch the fireworks Thursday night. I will likely be doing some busking near the hotel and convention center provided that I get the ok from my pyro insurance and the fire marshal, so if you see a chick swallowing flaming torches, that's me!


I plan on spending most of my con hanging out around the outside of the convention center if it's nice and drawing in sketchbooks for tips. If you'd like to hang out, hit me up beforehand and I'll give you my phone number or a way to contact me.

Well hey all, some things have happened in the last few days. I don't want to say too much yet because I myself really haven't been able to mentally piece together all of it in a way that makes sense, but suffice it to say that I will be making some changes on FA, including having a separate account for writing again.

Hi all. I've been gone awhile. I spent the past eh what two months or so, however long it's been since I lost my apartment, living with my parents. I did manage to land an awesome job during that time but unfortunately I did not have health insurance with mental health coverage. So long story short, most of the work I've done over the past year was completely unraveled. I have mommy issues, I'm not going to cry about it. I'm now living in a new place, by myself as Voodoo and I decided to end things for reasons that are personal and that we'd rather not discuss.

Massive, untreatable depression rendered me completely useless. I've looked at my tablet, contemplated using it, but in order to do so means first dragging myself across the room in order to find any meaning or inspiration in my life. I know that sounds dumb but I've been feeling like crap. Take that for what it's worth.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to post a quick journal to thank you all for being patient.

A sincerely appreciate all of the effort that was made to keep me from being homeless and my kitties from having to go to a shelter. Unfortunately we were able to get enough to only stay a few more weeks, so instead of trying a second time, Voodoo and I have decided to move out. He is moving in with a friend who has a small bit of extra space, and I will be renting a room from my parents. This probably won't go well but luckily it is only a temporary situation.

That being said, we are in the process of moving all of our things. I should be out completely by the end of next week and able to finish everyone's art. Everything that was ordered has been sketched or started, however most of my supplies (including my tablet, because I'm an idiot) are in boxes at one house or the other, and I simply cannot work on anything else at this time.

Again I thank you for being patient, as we are in a move now or have all of your things unceremoniously dumped on the curb by the housing authority people situation. Personally, I like my things and would like to keep the hobos and rabid skunks and whatnot out of them.

I will be restarting artwork at the end of next week, possibly sooner depending on how quickly we are able to finish moving the rest of our things and get our animals settled.

So as many of you know I haven't found a job yet. Unfortunately because of that I am losing my car in about a week. HOPEFULLY I will have access to a vehicle, thanks to my brother but the larger issue at hand is that we are going to lose our apartment. I spoke with my parents tonight about us moving in with them. I presented my case saying we would only be there for a month and we would be happy to pay them rent. They said no, for "religious reasons," namely that we aren't married and never plan to be. I was told that I could move in but would have to give my cats to a shelter, and still pay rent. This is... at this point anyhow... not yet an option for me. It will be soon if I don't make some money or get a job, but for now I wouldn't even begin to consider it.


I'd like to try and take ten slots for name your price commissions. Obviously the more you pay the nicer I'll make whatever you're wanting. I haven't had much luck with commissions in the past but I am desperate, and I will start drawing immediately.

We all know what happened ten years ago, I don't need to go into a speech. What kills me today is that I look around FA and see people laughing and making jokes about it. I realize a lot of furries were probably very little kids when it happened, but I wasn't, and a lot of other people weren't either. Have some respect.

Ten years ago today I was on a bus in front of my school, waiting excitedly to go on a camping trip. But the bus never left. They pulled a girl in my class off the bus and took her aside and talked to her, then guided her back into the building when she started crying. Her uncle was in the first tower. He called his family to say goodbye, and our teachers had pulled her off the bus so that her mom could come get her. We didn't know that yet. We had heard one of the teachers whisper something about a bomb. Naturally this sent us into a minor panic. Where was it? What had happened? Why did they pull Amanda off the bus?


And then someone came to pull me off the bus.


It was the longest walk of my life, like walking to the electric chair. I knew before they said anything that it was about my dad. I knew he was on business in DC, working on a deal with a mall in Arlington. When I got off of the bus, their words hit me in the face. "Your mom called. She's coming to get you. I'm sorry, there's been an attack, and they're not sure where your dad is."

My mom had talked to my dad just after the first plane hit the towers. He called her so she wouldn't flip out... she always flips out. He was in the Pentagon City Mall, just across the street from the Pentagon. When the plane hit in Washington, phone access immediately became out of the question. Too many people were trying desperately to phone their loved ones. I didn't go to school the next day. We just sat around and watched the tv and waited. We knew he was probably alive, but that nagging thought in the back of your mind is always there, made worse by the fact that you're only 13 and you aren't allowed to tell your 8 year old brother why everyone is so upset and why he isn't allowed to go to school.

The next day my dad was finally able to contact us. They weren't letting anyone enter or leave the city by public transportation, and access to the roads was highly limited. A week later, he was finally able to leave. He rented a car with a stranger he had met from Akron while waiting around to be let out of the city and finally made it home to us.


It is something that will stay with me for the rest of my life. I still cry sometimes when I hear recordings from that day. And it breaks me to pieces when I hear people making jokes. I understand that it didn't affect everyone like it did me and my family, but please at least be respectful on the day it happened.

The money is all going to our kitten, who is being spayed today! She had all of her kitten shots and what not on Wednesday, but she's still going to need the boosters, and plus the vet just called and said she has diarrhea.

Juliet was a stray that started coming up to our porch about a month and a half ago. She was literally skin and bones and starving. You could see every bone in her through her fur. So we started feeding her and over time (LOTS of time) we were able to gain her trust. We started petting her and then were able to hold her etc. Finally she stopped being afraid of us and we were able to adopt her completely. The vet thinks she's about five months old. She has gained plenty of weight since we started to feed her, and you can't see her bones anymore!

I'm not going. Yes that sucks, but oh well. It just costs too much money, and while I have that money I'm in a place where I need to be responsible with it.

It has absolutely shocked me (though it probably shouldn't) how many furs have not understood that my reason for not going to AC is because I need to be responsible with my money. Silly things! I have bills, and I don't live with my parents. I'd love to go, I really would, but I have to be an adult and be responsible with my finances. Hello darlings, I never post journals... so sad.

Anyhow, since it's about a month away I thought I would start advertising commissions for it! I'll also be trying to get a spot in the Artist's Alley at least one of the days I'm there (probably Saturday) so look for me.

I'm going to be doing a new kind of badge, though I haven't really fleshed out the details yet. Something involving playing cards, to go along with the Furries in Wonderland theme.

If all goes well and my ADHD doesn't get in the way, I'll also have Wonderland-themed jewelry to sell, ranging probably from $7 to $30 depending on size, type, and complexity.

I've been gone (have you noticed?) I won't be too offended if you haven't. I certainly don't notice much when artists leave [sorry!] I've been lurking and being relatively snarky and all of my usual naughty goodness. Consider me re-testing the FA waters. We're still planning on re-launching the Yellow Dog site, but it's going to take a LOT of work. So there's that.
