post-AC housekeeping
Posted 9 years agofirst of all, hello everyone tuning in after AC! there have been a handful of you joining up and tossing a watch my way and i'd just like to say thank you! i really appreciate everyone who stopped by my table and chatted with me, commissioned me and took the time to hunt me down here and follow! y'all rock and you made my AC really worthwhile!
honestly, i didn't do a whole lot at AC other than camp out in the AA. i didn't have a chance to pre-reg due to money issues and was only able to properly attend the con thanks to skelewolf's generousity, so i spent a lot of my time waiting to see if there was a table open for me to squat at. i ended up getting a table all three days and met some rad people both in line and who were on either side of me in the AA. in no particular order, boper9, grungecandy, JustinTheCheetah, gamutfeathers and tyrnn! if i forgot to link you, it's due to a bad memory and the lack of a business card (which i also suffered from). just hmu!
i also got to see/hang briefly with potatogriff, Flickybird, xtaintedredx, greenhatmatt, chronoteeth, hulex and knottyascot (again, if i'm missing you, just call me out for being a shitlord)!
my roomies skelewolf, hunter and ultrahorror were super fab and are A++ people you should check out.
all and all, thank you guys SO SO SO MUCH for making AC the recharge i needed!
now, off i go to finish my AC homework, amass all the pics of badges i gave away at the con already and eat my hot fudge sundae that is slowly but surely melting (as am i) in this heat.

Posted 10 years agohey everyone i will be updating VERY SOON with some cool new stuff! ANE was a blast despite some stress beforehand (mostly consisting of wringing my hands and fretting over what i should be making stock of). i sold with ultrahorror and we ran around as MTT and alphys ins the latertimes. we stayed an extra day with friends in new hampshire and then made it back home last night to our snow-buried state. we are home safe and sound now and getting ready for katsucon!

i have not been to a furry con since furfright back in 2010 and it was so much fun! i was able to do mangle both saturday and sunday with ultrahorror as toy bonnie and eemamminy as toy chica! we hung out mostly with mithryanna and GMNChampion and had a blast! i met tons of people but i neglected to get ANY OF THEIR INFO so if i ran into you, feel free to comment/shout/note me and let me know who you were and where we met!
we went to the dance competition and took some spoopy photos in a dark hallway on saturday before sliding into the chimera contest. i didn't realize until everyone was running for supplies that ANYONE could compete, so i grabbed some random bits and pieces and claimed a small corner with a counter to make a pseudo-griffin head for mithryanna. she was a champ, even when i got hot glue in her hair and before we knew it, we had a weirdly adorable head! all of the foam work was done with rough pieces and torn to the semi-proper shape by hand and it wasn't until the second hour that we had steady access to a pair of safety scissors. ultrahorror made us a quick-n-dirty tail to use and trimmed a bunch of pieces of fur into chunks so i could pattern them onto the foam. we ran out of time so there was still bits of exposed foam showing, but honestly i can't complain with what i manage to get done with so little time and proper material! i'll be uploading some pics of it to scraps tomorrow once i edit and collage them properly, haha!
we didn't place but we still had a great time nonetheless and it really got me PUMPED to do some more fursuit stuff! i've got some donated materials from the challenge and some purchased materials from mithryanna to get me started on something cute for her to wear to anthrocon which leads me to...

it wasn't until this con that i really though seriously about going to anthrocon. it always seemed a little too big and a little too daunting but i feel like it might be time to bite the bullet and make the trek up to the pitt.
i really don't have a lot of cash to finance said trip with, so i would really need to take some commissions up front for delivery at the con to pay for travel, lodging and admission. these commissions would be taken and filled before all others to ensure that the comms were ready for delivery in advance to leaving. i would be taking orders at the con but would not be able to finish them until afterward.

the price of a patch commission starts at 50USD and includes original artwork vectors and 2 patches. patch designs can be stitched directly onto black or white bandanas for an additional 10USD. custom colour or patterned material can be chosen for an additional USD.
once a design has been made for you, additional patches can be ordered at any time for the cost of the patch (usually 5-7USD each depending on detail level).

i've had a lot of things happen and worked a lot in the last few months. it's been a rollercoaster to say the least. as of last week, however, i now only have one job again, which is a mixed blessing. i worked contractually for a company that was bought out and absorbed and the position i held just stopped existing. since they had no legal obligations toward me (being contractual and all) i have been let go.
while the missing paycheck is gonna hurt, it's let me work more on what i enjoy doing and what i've been working on in the very small amount of free time that i have: embroidery and patch making!
i opened a storenvy and an etsy for my patchwork as well as starting up a patreon to help make up some of the lost wages while doing something i totally enjoy doing. i am also opening up for a limited number of commission slots for custom patches with prices listed below.

Posted 11 years agoi'm sorry i've been more or less quiet lately. i've taken on a third job to try to make ends meet and it's cut way, way into my socialization time. i've been spending most of my free time doing art or costuming and not much actually talking to anyone, which is a mixed bag. i'm glad because i've had a lot more art actually getting semi-finished, but i'm lonely as hell in the process, haha!

the turnaround on these will be fast and i'm 'in the groove' right now, so you should expect the upper end of my quality spectrum! these can be anything from badges to single character pieces to comics. i am going to put a cap of 5 hours per piece, however, as i would like to get them finished and turned over sooner rather than later.
i am willing to draw original characters as well as fanart, digital as well as traditional, furry, human and otherwise. the only thing that incurs more than my usual rate of 12/hr is pornography, which i bump to 15/hr. that does mean that i am open to NSFW commissions too, though!

i've been trying to avoid the drama and feel no need to address it now. y'all know what's going on, and if you don't, the info is readily available. i will be continuing to update my FA during all of this, as i do not get traffic on weasyl. it blows, but that's the reality of it. what little establishment i have is here and until that surpasses my ability to connect with people here, i won't be joining the exodus.
