I'm Alive
General | Posted 14 years agoJust barely, though. Lol.
I just had been pretty busy. Ya know, school and such. Weekdays are school and dumb extra-curriculars, weekends are consumed by taking care of my animals. I won't even get started on school, so let's just say I hate it. That is putting it nicely. xD
My computer mouse died so I have to deal with not being able to share my drawings. I AM GOING TO GO CRAZY. I miss my drawing. D:
Peace,
Collie, out.

Thats Pretty Awesome
General | Posted 14 years agoSo I finally got my fox mask back from the state fair. I guess everyone was pretty impressed with it, which is cool.
This one> http://www.furaffinity.net/full/5025447/
I ended up getting a Merit award, which sounds pretty good because everyone apparently was saying that they barely give out any. The other handy-dandy award they give is "participation". And I'm pretty sure they'd have a "best of show" but with the big 'ol sticker they put on the piece of paper I got I really can't tell.
Well that was the mask I was going to sell, but I don't really think I can anymore. But hopefully I can sell my first one for a decent price, then finish my other WIPs. But I figured that would be a nice thing to share.
Soo.. yup.

My Dog is Insane
General | Posted 14 years agoWell, all of my animals are insane. Sure the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, but if you use a rotten worm to catch a fish, the fish won't always be normal, either.
That is just logic.
But I take Eddy to my room every once-and-a-while when I let Jelly up there. Eddy has just been attempting to eat EVERYTHING. This is the same puppy who sleeps 23 hours a day, but the second he comes upstairs he just tries to eat everything. That is why I have to make sure my room is spotless before the mongrel even thinks about coming up.
Rediculous.
The wierdest part about my dogs is they are colored like PB&J. But Jelly is the Peanut butter colored one, and Eddy is the Jelly.
Now the derranged Corgi is staring at himself in the mirror. I don't blame him. If I were that gorgeous I'd stare at myself, too. xD
-ignores the subject of art-

GRAGRABLAGRRR
General | Posted 14 years agoI am video-game STARVED. Just when I was about to play some video games, after vigorous preperation. (Un-barrying the 360, and getting a fan so it doesn't explode.) But all of a sudden, the remote wasn't there. Gosh darn dissappearing remote. I don't know what happened to it either. I was playing GTA when the 360 overheated a few days ago, but I don't remember taking the remote and wires away from the general area. I'm sure it is sitting right under my nose, but I don't feel like looking and fussing over it. I'm sure if I started playing video games again I would be very inclined to draw quite often. And that is a good thing..
I think.
Well, lets hope so.
I feel insanely lazy at this point. I sort of hope someone took it otherwise I will feel pathetic that I can't find it.

I am Abrasive, Intellectual, and Original.
General | Posted 14 years agoAbrasive
You are accustomed to rubbing people the wrong way; it's simply what happens when you express your opinions. In your opinion, there's nothing wrong with being controversial.
You don't have a "live and let live" attitude when it comes to other people whose opinions clash with yours; you see no reason to give the benefit of the doubt to someone who is just plain wrong.
Intellectual
You are thoughtful, rational, and comfortable in the world of ideas. People find you interesting to talk to. You're the living embodiment of the saying "You learn something new every day." In general, those with a high score on the "intellectual" trait are employed in such fields as teaching and research, and are enthusiastic about reading, foreign films, and classical music.
You do not avoid abstract conversation, experimenting with new ideas, or studying new things. It bores you to stick to the straight and narrow of what you already know.
Original
You are constantly coming up with new ideas. For you, the world as it exists is just a jumping-off place; what's going on inside your mind is often more interesting than what's going on outside.
You don't feel that the road to success is to be a realist and stick to the program; you never stop yourself from coming up with new ideas or telling the world what you're thinking about.
Inefficient
You like to live your life without plans, and when you do have a plan you're happy to ignore it. While you're not necessarily opposed to getting work done, you're very good at finding other ways to spend your time.
You are not anal, or even particularly well organized. You don't enjoy sticking to your plans, and don't mind when you don't finish on time.
Slapdash
You believe things will turn out fine even if they don't go precisely according to plan. As far as you're concerned, it's not the end of the world if a project falls short of perfection.
You don't feel compelled to dot every "i" and cross every "t."
Pessimistic
You tend to be a "glass half-empty" kind of person, which for you is simply a realistic outlook. Your feeling is that this world can be a depressing place, and only a fool would think otherwise.
You do not waste your time searching for the silver lining in every cloud, nor do you believe it's your job to cheer up the people around you with happy talk.
Passionate
You are in touch with your emotions, and sometimes you react before you think. The good news: you don't tamp down your feelings. The bad news: you sometimes say or do things that you later wish you could take back.
You do not live your life on an even keel; you do not go for long periods without experiencing some mood swings.
Solitary
You are a private person, not very comfortable in a big group, and view excessive socializing as a waste of time.
You not prefer hanging out with others to spending time alone; you do not tend to feel at home in a crowded room, club, stadium, or auditorium.
Aesthetic
You appreciate art, beauty, and design; you know that they are not superficial but absolutely crucial to living the good life. You have good taste, and you're proud of it. Those with a high score on the "aesthetic" trait are often employed in literary or artistic professions, enjoy domestic activities — doing things around the house — and are enthusiastic about the arts, reading, and travel.
You don't think it's pretentious to be moved by art and beauty. You're not one of those who believe it doesn't matter what something looks like as long as it does its job.
Creative
You are good at solving problems, coming up with original ideas, and seeing connections between things, connections that most other people miss. People with a high score on the "creative" trait often are employed in such fields as finance and scientific research, and enjoy avant garde and classical music as well as literary fiction and scholarly non-fiction.
You do not shun abstractions and concepts in favor of the concrete and tangible.

I don't know. This seems pretty spot on. I am such a contradiction, sort of like a skittle. Or like a dead-end, uphill highway.
Don't judge me.. x3Some Epicness
General | Posted 14 years agoSo I entered my fox mask in my county fair, not only did it get Grand Champion, it was sent to state. But on an even cooler scale a furry noticed it at the state fair and added me on facebook. :D
Just thought it was cool to be recognized a little by a fellow fur.
I'm not sure how it did at state, though. I can't go because of distance reasons. Oh well, I will love it nonetheless. It is sad to think that is the one I was going to sell. All these good memories.. But I really need to finish a plethera of other fursuit heads that I started and.. well.. did not come close to finishing.
In other news, I'm getting but another horse. Not only is she a horse, but she is a curly! Her name is Scarlet, and her hair is curly all over her body, aswell as her mane and tail. I've got quite the herd, now. ^-^
And those drawings, I plege to you all that I will get them done during school if not sooner. The classes will be 70 minutes long, so I think I might be able to find time. x3

Another Pathetic Revalation
General | Posted 14 years agoHoly shiz.
So I usually watch one channel and wait all day untill the television shows I want to watch are on. So today I watched TWO channels and I happened to come across "So You Think You Can Dance" or whatever the title is called. But I was otherwised rather unintrested untill they showed Lady Gaga. I just spaz-failed to see Lady Gaga somewhere and talking and the like. I just really love Lady Gaga, she is a new level of epic.
Sorry about that. I am just in a rut and watch TV all day rather than doing any art. I PROMISE one of these days I will get something up here. :3
LADY GAGA..
I mean.. well, yeah that is pretty much it. x3

OMG TYRA FURRIES
General | Posted 14 years agoThey are talking about furries who have sex in fursuits. At least these people aren't creepers and explain furries rather than just SEX SEX FURRY SEX. It pissed me off how some of the people looked disgusted, but the girl explained how they wouldn't be attracted to mickey mouse or an animal.
DAMN THE STORM
General | Posted 14 years agoThat is what we get for re-naming our mascot to "the Storm" from "the Indians".
Everything is flickering. The power is surging, so it is a good thing that I unplugged my computer. My poor goldfish Iowa is confused with his filter randomly stopping. Plus my dog is pacing, and my fan will go from full speed, then get slower, then all of a sudden full speed again. And the lightning and thunder are raging outside.
Durn storms, always bardging on in. Hopefully it brings some rain, we really need it out here.
OH! And I died my hair purple today. :D It is pretty awesome, but it is not likely that I will upload photography of myself on here. I'm not that hideos, I just don't photograph well. xD

I made it for general chatting as well as roleplay, but mind you, it is not a room for the sex. xD
Password is "cardi".
I'd like it to be mainly for roleplay! So keep that in mind, I just have no ideas for plots/locations. Also, post larger posts, not one or two sentances, but more like ten sentances.

Sorry Again
General | Posted 14 years agoFree pictures will be delayed once again. I know it sounds like I haven't done any, which is only half true. I pretty much have every day of the week filled between training horses, dogs, llamas, and alpacas. And I can't just say "I'm sorry, but I'll have to cancel because I am drawing free art for strangers." Maybe when school is on full swing again and I get insanely bored I will do them, but the last thing I need is to have a bunch more people expecting something of me that I cannot deliever.. YET.
If you do wait you might see them done, but otherwise there isn't much I can promise. Sorry. I do appreciate that many people actually are waiting, because I know being as impatient as I am, I can't say I would wait. Dx

I Appologize
General | Posted 14 years agoIt will be taking me a while to get those free pictures done, but trust me, I will get them done sooner or later.
A few days ago we got an order of 36 baby chicks, so they have been keeping fairly occupied. Aswell as socializing Eddy, my insomnia and waking up at noon.
First of all, the chicks are freaking adorable. I haven't gotten chicks in a while, so I'm excited. We ordered them from McMurray Hatchery. We got 25 pullets from the "ornamental layer collection" and 5 Dark Brahmas. (I love brahmas, so I could not go without.) Plus they gave us a free exotic chick, which ended up being a Dark Brahma. Then they had 5 "Red Star" males for warmth.
One of our babies ended up dying. But she was bittiest and was getting weak. (I regret not putting sugar in their water, now.) But the rest of them are alive and well. We got a bunch of Polish chickens, which have tiny puffball afros. Those kind tend to be more aggresive/curious than most, so if you skritch around in the wood shavings they will run towards you in a mob and peck at your nails. Then followed by the rest of them. The baby Brahmas look like penguins, and there is one that is almost all black, and sort of scares me when it stares at me with the ominous, judging eyes.
Today I fenced off a big patch of long grass for the horses, with help from my dad. I had all of the posts relatively straight untill he plodded out and insisted to get it done really quickly. Dx But for a temporary fence it turned out really nice. The poor beasties picked their other pastures down to the nitty gritty. Now I am going to be obligated to put them out at noon, then get them back in and 8'o'clock. As long as they don't decide to run away all should be going smoothly.
Then their is Eddy, the new puppy. He has been getting along well, listening like a dream on walks. Luckily pretty much all of my neighbors are relatives, aunts and uncles, that have dogs that Eddy can interact with. I have to feed him when I wake up and when I put him to sleep. We have a little pen that we have for him. It has a bed, food, water and toys. It is not that little of an area (about to large dog crates long and one and a half wide.) But he does not mind it at all, and usually will be more comfortable falling asleep in there. He has to be separated otherwise the other dogs will eat his food, and he is eating puppy food. Plus it is the ease of mind for me knowing he won't be running around in the dog yard in the middle of the night. I don't wake up early enough to have him in my room, seeing as he usually will be let out by someone else by the time I wake up.
So that is what is going on making me unable to do the pictures right away. I have about five sketched, and just need to regain muse, energy, and time.
Adios. Collie, out.

Alright, I'm Dead
General | Posted 14 years agoSo I did alot today and did not get to drawing that free art /so sue me\. Yesterday I drew about five traditionally, and when I have finished drawing those, I will make them digital for however long it takes and plaster them on up here. If anyone runs across this journal before the free art one, well, I'm pretty much closing that. I suppose if a few more people might enter I will accept the challenge but there is only so much art I can squeze out before I am completely drained and can't draw for months. So the further down the line the less likely I am to draw, but I probably will otherwise I'll feel bad.
65 watchers, that is pretty awesome. :3 Especially since I am such a slacker. Is especially even a word? I feel dumb when ever I use it.
Today has been rather busy. I went to a horse riding lesson and it was the first time in three years I have had an actual lesson on my horse. A few years ago I was thrown off and broke myself on the ground, so I have been really frightened to get back on, but I did. So that went good.
Earlier this morning I pulled a muscle in my back _I believe so at least_ and it has been hurting HORRIDLY forever. I have been gimping around and my mother and her own issues wants me to do everything for her. I suppose a blown disc or pinched nerve in her case is probably worse than my own crippled back but I am grumpy and bitchy and feel like complaining. But at least my dogs listen to me when I'm in a bad mood. Jelly is laying on a few pillows on the floor as pitiful as ever.
Plus my Aunt picked this day so we could go shoping. So I was drug all around god's creation to look at stuff. I'm sort of uncomfortable with people spending money on me, and I was not used to going and saying that I want something. She ended up picking out a bunch of stuff and gave it to me, which I did like quite a bit. Highlights of that was mainly things I needed. Edgar needed a new collar and dog tags, so I got him that. We got a few dog toys. Plus my horses need something to occupy them in the trailer so we got them a bag for hay. Then other things like rubber bands, flip flops (my obsession) and some makeup.
If there was anythng else I am to tired to remember. I doubt many people read the whole thing so it doesn't really matter.
Have a delightful day. :3 Don't pull muscles in your back picking up saddles. If you pick up something heavy bend your knees and hold it close to you, unless for some reason you are picking up a bear, in which you might want to hold it far away, or not pick it up. ~ Health tip of the day

Offering Free Art!
General | Posted 14 years agoWhat I Am Offering
A chance to get a fullbody anthro or quad piece of art scribbled by yours truly. It will be shaded and lined on only the best of art programs. (GIMP, the art program that you can download for free online. xD)
How? What are the Rules?
There are three basic rules.
#One. You have to make a journal advertising this very ocassion, plus include it in your post.
#Two. You must include a reference in your post that illustrates your character clearly, or a well detailed descriptions for the easier characters.
#Three. You must agree to let me draw your character in a theme of my choice. Most likely something geared towards Fallout 3 or Red Dead Redemption, meaning it might include gore or violence. Nothing will be over PG13. If you don't want any agressive theme then just say so in your post. Just a bit of a warning, your character might be drawn battling, and most likely winning, against one of my characters.
That is it, just enjoy. The more people the better. Another rule, I cannot draw humans or monkey-type animals, but I am willing to try anything else.Just Watch Out
General | Posted 14 years agoThere have been hackings in the system, I'm afraid. People who's accounts have been hacked will have journals titled "I don/t remember making this journal" and they will have a link with something to the line of click here to report this guy.
Don't click the link. :3 It is as simple as that.
EDIT: Apparently it is more than that title, but that is all I have incountered. :3 JUST DON'T CLICK THE LINKS.

That Story
General | Posted 14 years agoThe story thing I was writing is pretty much just shit in the river right now. I have no ability to write anything for very long so I just quit, like everything else. I'm deleting what I have right now. I might go back to it and write longer chapters, but I probably would write about half the story before posting it.

Some Exciting News!
General | Posted 14 years agoWe are getting another dog! Well, more so I am getting another dog after waiting so long for one of my own. We will go to see him sometime this week. He is a blue merle mix between a Cardigan and a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Originally my father said no to the idea simply because we couldn't afford it but the owner cut the price in half after someone from across the country couldn't take the puppy.
We are planning to breed this boy once to Bella, one of our Pembroke Welsh Corgi mamas. Then we will keep a female from the litter and breed her to Jasper. Which is a good idea seeing as Bella and Riah are getting older and Mercedes didn't end up working out so she went to a pet home. So we will in the next few years be adding two of the Corgi kind to our pack! It will be interesting to have the extra colors, and my mom agreed to only dock the tails of the tri or sable corgis of the first 1/4 Cardi litter, so if we keep a blue female, if there are any blue females, we will have another taildog. I'm excited to work with this puppy on obedience and agility. Perhaps him and Jelly can work brace. ^-^ Oh the wonders!
Also, any suggestions for a name would be great. I had in mind strong names that aren't aggressive, but not to common or insanely exotic. I had a list but when dad first said no I deleted the notepad on my computer! Dx The name Vincent is one I remember, but that is about it!
So many exclamation points, so little time.

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD
General | Posted 14 years agoNow with that terribly interuptive and annoying intro comes some news!
If you do not have a life, like myself, and might find yourself watching the show "How I Met Your Mother". On one of the episodes they reference a site called "CanadianSexActs . org".
I was bored, and you guessed it, I looked it up. IT IS FREAKING TRUE. I'm only assuming it was falsely made to look like a legit website, but seriously.. Win.
Now something more important. I feel a journal offering free art from yours truely coming on... Perhaps another moment in the future...
Perhaps...

Fursuit Ideas needed!
General | Posted 14 years agoI need a new challenge. I have just started to make a new mask today and I don't have a species set for it. I've made three dog masks already, and a fox. Then I made some sort of alpaca/llama/horse/donkey thing. This one has to be something different.
I am looking for more of a chalenging sculpture work rather than coloring. So this means I'm not doing a zebra or tiger. Any help would be lovely. Also if you have a couple good pictures of the species front/side view face, whether it is a fursuit or the actual animal, it would help give me an idea.
