FCN con report-a-thon
General | Posted 13 years agoThis convention continues to get better every year, and this past weekend topped it for sure. I got to spend it with

mahrkale and damn did we have some laughs!
I managed to get into artist alley Friday and Sunday, and did better than I thought, so that basically rocks. Everything was take home work, so I've got my days planned out for a while here : P The Alley itself, and then den were pretty hopping, and the whole feel of the convention was great. I heard rumor that three hotels, including the Sheraton, were sold out because of it!
I danced my happy ass off, suited, rock banded, DRANK A LOT OF BOOOOOZE, chilled with good people, and had the best weekend I've had in a very long time. I recommend this convention to anyone interested in going, I'll be there next year for sure!!

FCN was a blast! epyrix and I spent Friday through Sunday at the con, and it was great seeing people again. 
xkuroi_reix and I super mega danced on Saturday thanks to 
rokkaiser and his phat beats that blow up third world nations.
I was called upon to fill in as singer for the Stupid Drunk Furries at the FCN Rock's the 80's Rock Band tournament, and we took 2nd place!! Thanks to potent Amma toddies, we all had a really damn good time.
I was very happy to see
ShiroElex and 
jellybeans95 again, and meeting new people is always a blast as well. I hope to see everyone again soon, but until then, I need to go wash out my allergy infested eyes, or possibly just shoot myself in the foot to get my mind off this dry, itchy hell.

Oh This Day!

Today was absolutely amazing! My older brother Don is in town, on break from his current job, and we have hung out quite a bit since he got back. My mother legally changed her name today (a long time in the making) and afterward we all went to a wonderful English pub to celebrate called Graydons Crossing. This happened around One in the afternoon...
I had a few beers there, and all was well, and soon more of my family showed up on their scooters in order the celebrate the event. After the English pub, my aunt took us to a place right next the the Grand River where we all hung out for a while and drank a few more beers, and took in the scenery on an absolutely beautiful day. Well... Soon after that, I found myself (with my family) at Founders Brewery in downtown GR enjoying yet a few more beers, and this (mind you) was at about 6PM.
Soon after that, we found ourselves at a local bar my brother does love called the Anchor, and much more craziness ensued, involving a two song dance number to some M Jackson hits!!
I just recently got home, and the point of this story is, my family is f*cking amazing, and I love them dearly, and ALSO I've been drinking for over 12 hours on a MONDAY of all days!! ALEX, this will have to happen when you get back, and we all missed you today, so pull through senior year, and then enjoy the ruckus that fallows!

I cannot wait to go next year, and see everyone again and have a wicked LAN party with lots of glow sticks and raving and always more drum and bass!!

While working with watercolor my senior year, I learned to ignore the process I was taught, and bend it to my will to almost look like opaque brush strokes. That was sooooo fun!
