Explanation of Absense
Posted 12 years agoOk, I haven't been here for almost a month, so I have some explaining to do.
Basically we're struggling a bit with food and bills because it turns out my friend isn't really making enough money and I've been putting all my time and energy into looking for a job and so far I've turned up with absolutely nothing.
At this point, I figured it will better if I just stick to my commissions in the meantime.
I'm going to be holding a pre-pose sale for Christmas really soon and I need to make as many of these as I can, therefore, all poses will be available, regardless if someone else purchased it or not. This also means you can request multiple poses. I expect to be really busy so streaming will become a regularity again.
Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding, it makes my situation much more bearable.

Raising money to thank a friend. [Please Read]
Posted 13 years agoAlright ok so hi yes here I am I am back. Let me explain all the things ok. Here I go. This is me doing that.
So my father kicked me out but I managed to find a place to live. In California. But then things didn't work out there and then I was going to be thrown out on the streets in a state forever away from where I was originally at. But then, a friend of mine who've I've been friends with finally just got tired of hearing that I'm having a bad time no matter where I go and she decided that she'd rent herself an apartment and if she got said apartment I could live with her.
Well, she did. and I'm now in that apartment. I've been friends with her for 8 years and I just can't repay her enough. She's promised me a roof over my head no matter the situation so I want to pay her back.
So here's my plan you guys. I want to raise money to pay for furniture within our apartment. She's already paid for the apartment itself and has worked with me to ensure that I'm not going to have to roam around anymore and being here with her so far as beein just a wonderful experience all together. I've already tried to pay her back by paying for the internet and having it installed the next day, but to be fair, I didn't exactly have enough, but I opted in with my bank account so the worst thing that could happen is that I get overdrafted to a total of $150, which isn't terrible considering that would take a full 10 days and I can talk to my bank and have one or two of those fees taken care of.
I've set a goal of $1150, this is to cover basic furnishings and appliances as we have absolutely nothing in this house. I'll be raising the price of my art and I'll be working even harder than before to ensure that all commissions are taken care of in a timely manner. I'd also appreciate any donations towards this goal as the sooner I get to it, the less I have to worry about. While I'm doing this, We also have other bills to pay and take care of and I'll be looking to get a part time job so I can continue to be helpful, but I'm actually doing this for her as a surprise. I'd LIKE to see if I can't get this all by the end of the month but I think that's pushing it, but I'm going to be working hard so we'll see.
Anyway, I'll be posting an image containing my official price-set and goals so keep an eye out. I'll have it up by the end of the day (Central Time).
Thank you guys for being patient with me. I still have two commissions to take care of and I will be approaching those as soon as possible. The prices for those commissions will not change.

Honestly wish I was kidding but I'm just flat out done. I've had to move from place to place for the last 2 years and I'm fed up. Please do not continue reading unless you understand that accepting someone into your household to help them get on their feet is a time consuming and financial effort.
To make things short, I had a fall out with my dad at the beginning of the year and it resulted in me moving to New York all by myself. I'm only 19, keep in mind. I moved to New York exclusively because my friend in Buffalo said he'd help me out. The person he was living with however didn't like me literally for no reason whatsoever. and I was forced out.
Fortunately I had a friend in Syracuse who said he'd take me up and then the process repeated. He eventually said I need to hurry and find a place of my own because he can't afford to take care of me. I did manage to get a job and I moved to my own little pad in Syracuse for a couple of months, but because I was forced out of my friend's house I was behind on money from the start. So I ended up having to quit my job and go back home to my dad.
I felt like if I had a support system, like someone who could help me get my driver's license/driving school, so I could at least drive and be a bit more independent then maybe things would work out.
But of course, my dad didn't want me, so after a couple of days of being there, he wanted me out and was threatening to call the police if I didn't leave. Then I moved yesterday here, California. And not even 24 hours later, I'm already being told that they can't help me either. They only realize this AFTER taking me in. So I'm once again destined to be on the streets.
I'm at wit's end. No financial burden on your end if you choose to help me in regards to the plane ticket if you aren't in Cali, but I need a place to live. If anyone is interested in helping me, please comment or note me. I don't have too much time.

Hiatus
Posted 13 years agoSorry I haven't been around to update in a while. Things have been going on IRL so I haven't been focusing on my drawing.
I'm taking a quick hiatus for a bit because I need to prepare for yet another move. I'm going to be moving from one side of the US to another so I'll need to get my bearings and what not.
For those who are still waiting on commissions, I will get to those immediately on my return. I may or may not post some random doodles between hiatus so yeah.

I recently moved house though I'm somewhat settled right now. Working on Pre-pose commissions. I know that there are also a few other commissions I need to get done though details haven't exactly been worked out yet. I'll be noting those who have contacted me or discussed commission work.

Posted 13 years agoOk Hello. It's 7:30 AM and I haven't slept help me.
Anyway so I did some Streaming for god knows how long and now I got some commissions even though I was doing them for free, I suggested that I color the sketches for a bit of money.
Anyway, for those of you who were on my stream and left before I made the decision, if you would like for me to color your sketch, It'll be a flat color with some basic shading as I'm coloring a sketch and not going to be relining it.

I'm LancePaladin, aka Switchblade. Username based off of my Pony OC who actually still needs more of a story behind him but anyway. I'm not an artist so much as I am a voice actor. I do enjoy My Little Pony and I'm a big video game nerd. I have no idea what I'm doing with this journal entry.
Anyway, I'm hoping that I can get good enough that I can start doing commissions/livestreams simply because I do need more income. Been unable to pay rent timely for a while now and what better way to make money than making people happy with art?
Albeit my art's not the best. Though I'd like to get the ball rolling with commissions as soon as possible.
