Poke'Porn?
Posted 8 years agoJust curious, if I did some Poke'porn, would y'all be interested in that? If so what sort of pokemons? Maybe like a Charizard or something?
    Art Competitions
Posted 10 years agoSo this is just a pick question to everybody out there. I'd like to participate in some art competitions any idea how I can go about doing that? Anyone hosting said competitions or who routinely makes competitions? Does FA have a community for that sort of thing?
Thirsty to give that a go. Thanks fellas

    Curse you, Education!
Posted 11 years agoGuys, I know it's been a million years since I've been any kind of social, but I'd like some advice if y'all 've the time to spare on little ol me. Basically, I'm heading off to big boy college in the fall, but honestly I can't afford it, it's about 10k a semester YIKES! Anyway I've been trying to save up for it, but I'm still no where near the amount I need, and so I was thinking I'd try to pick up a few bucks here are there however I can. No, I haven't been selling my hot bod on the streets....yet, but I have been selling old books and DVDs on Amazon.
To the point. I've only got a part time job right now, I'd like to get another part time job but the odds of someone hiring me for only three months is kind of....questionable. So this means I have a bit of extra time on my hands....time for arts and crafts maybe? I've never really tried commissions before but I'd be more than willing to give that a go if anyone would be interested.
So far as pricing goes, this is all uber rough, but I was thinking like $5-10, for sketches, $15- 20 for basic color and I donno maybe something like $20-30 for something all decked out. I donno what's fair? What do y'all think? Have you got any other ideas how this lowly hound can get a few extra pesos?

Animation Update
Posted 12 years agoSo, a short journal entry. I gave the animation thing a shot, it was really fun but good God does it take a lot of time. The 1 second loop I've got as my avatar right now took 7 hours to make. In addition to that I don't feel very satisfied with the amount of detail I can put into flash animations. I could have made things much more detailed but then I would have taken me 12 hours or so for a 1 second loop animation, it's insane.
I guess the take home message it I don't mind doing them every now and then but I think I may just spend more time into comics this summer.

Getting into Animation
Posted 12 years agoAlright fellas, I'm uber excited about getting a handle on 2d animation. I've been very slowly learning what's what and I hope to become a pro before too long. I've got lots of fight scenes I'm amped to try out and who knows maybe I'll even be able to make furry avatars for folks....maybe even for an exchange of legal tender. We'll see.
    Pessimistic Mother's day Rant
Posted 13 years agoI would appreciate some perspective on this, on what exactly Mother's Day is about.
Many people often speak highly of their mother's because they carried them in their womb for 9 months and then went through the pain of childbirth, but really getting knocked up is not difficult to do. Nearly every woman can get baby bloated, and I'd wager a good deal of the time it's not intentional. What's more once the woman is pregnant SHE isn't actually doing anything, her body is, a series of chemical and biological reactions take place of which she has absolutely no control over. At this point the woman essentially goes with the flow, even if it is a rather unpleasant flow it's self-inflicted do you exalt a baker if he burns his hands every time he bakes a cake? Then why praise a mother's pain, would it could have been avoided? Especially in this age of overpopulation
The biggest issue here I think is that often people say "aren't you glad to be alive" your mother is the reason your here, alive, in this world. My reply to this is, what's the alternative? Not being born? what is that? Where is that? Could I perhaps have been absolutely blissful until I was ripped down to Earth? perhaps life is some sort of punishment? Maybe I'd be better off not born, maybe we all would be.
That being said I suppose it is always nice to say nice things to important people in your life so, right on mother's day.

Seals Symbols and Sigils
Posted 14 years agoGreetings people of the internet, it is I again, your elusive and erratic pal, with a bit of a quandary for you all. I’ve this idea in my head, something I’d like to explore. You see I really do enjoy making signs, seals, crests, sigils, banners, what have you and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in me doing more of those, no characters or settings or anything just different seals. Most of my art is really sketchy, and unpolished but I could spend the time and make then nice and neat. Also I was thinking they would look really cool as designs or shirts or hoodies or hats or backpacks or even badges. Small business proposition here, I’d sell them for a cheap as I could.
Anyway I know this isn’t much to go on, because I haven’t submitted anything like that on FA yet, so you are more than welcome to give critiques as I continue on with this venture. As a really quick example of one of my sketchy incomplete seals you can check out --> Example 1 and Example 2

Apologizes to the people who have requested art and the like from me, I will have to beg your patience for just a while longer. Also to the people interested in conversing with me, I've taken on a tremendous work load and have dredged far deeper demons to defeat my thoughts and actions will be somewhat distracted for a contingency of time...and space, but fear not you weary whimsical wandered, fear not.

Is anyone interested?
Posted 14 years agoI know I haven't got many watchers, and of the ones that do watch, there are few that comment on anything, and even fewer still that will bother to read this, but I figured what the hell.
I've always fancied myself a writer, it's good creative fun for me, though highly time consuming, well anyway I've had this idea for a story floating around in my head for a while now and so I figured I might as well write it. Even if no one else reads it at least I can say that I've written it and it won't be bouncing around my head anymore. Just curious if anyone would be interested in reading. I've written up a sort of prologue for the story, just so everyone can see my writing style and can judge whether or not they would be interested. Also critique is always highly valued....anywho here it is

Chapter I: Past the Twilight Hours
It is past the twilight hours, the sun has long since sunken beneath the meridian, and the atmosphere ignites with the fretted fire of starlight. The moonlight pours down upon the world below, caressing the very cockles of the meandering cloud vapors beneath. A grand and magnanimous halo of light coronates the moon like a frozen ripple harbored between heaven and earth; however, below the troposphere this is never seen.
Colossus gray masses of cloud saunter silently though the skies and blot out the celestial lights. A slow and dismally demure rain falls onto the mountains and the forests and the small towns below. It was an unending apathetic affair, and as the autumn days melted away the chill of winter prowled ever nearer. Somewhere in the nebulous distance the metallic sound of flint snapping against steel broke the silence. It was past the twilight hours and in the empty concrete halls of a subway station a faint red light glowed against the dimly lit room. The flame of a cigarette lighter licked the stale air, as a husky unsheathed a cigarette from the little paper box in his pocket. 8 cigarettes left. At the tip a small ember smoldered, the husky took a heavy drag, burning away the inscription on side of the cigarette “Tempus edax rerum”.
This morning the husky dressed as a professional, his shirt was neatly buttoned and tucked, his tie folded in a tight Windsor knot, his fur maintained, his pants crisp and unmarred, but it is well past the twilight hours and this is not the same husky that left home this morning, no that husky is gone. His shirt was unbuttoned and un-tucked, his tie hung limply around his neck, his fur wet and somewhat mangy, and his pants wrinkled and vaguely stained. The tobacco smoke plumed from the husky’s mouth and curled and coiled in the cold air before disappearing as if never there at all, only the smell lingered— he really hated these cigarettes.
A pair of headlights made their way through the dark tunnel, a rush of air and churning steel flooded the cavernous concrete halls as the sound of breaks filled the air with their screeching. The gates parted and the husky stepped inside the nearly empty cart, a paw gripped the slick metal support rod just as the doors sealed with a faint clap.

Posted 15 years agoJust though I'd make an announcement for any of the few people that watch me, and the fewer still that actually read journal entries that I've been (and will likely continue to be) very busy for a while. In cause anyone gets curious of the slow pace that I usually come up with artwork it's because my time is being all chopped up and allocated between house work, Job hunting, and college preparations, not to mention my other little hobbies here and there.
Anyway that's about it just though I'd give this journal thing a try, to anyone who's made it this far, well done, vale.
