Howdy, making another quick journal as a follow-up to the last, this time hopefully more coherent and with more details.

To recap from the last journal, itch.io - under pressure from Visa, Mastercard, Stripe, and Paypal - has deindexed all its adult games following some manner of review. ( https://itch.io/updates/update-on-nsfw-content ) This means that a large portion of my income, as well as the income of others that rely on content creation for a living, is now at threat. I had been moving towards game development over commissions for a while - since commissions started slowing after Helene hit. This has the potentially to yet again upend things in my life, and I am not alone in that.

This is not something to put blame on itch.io for, and certainly not something to lobby blame towards the game singled out by 'collective shout' for - this is solely the fault of the payment processors. Something like this is a vile overreach of their power, and there needs to be push-back against this. Supposedly 1000 calls were enough to get them to do this (though evidence suggests they were planning on trying it anyhow) - and so we should apply pressure in the other direction. I have twice as many followers on here than the number of calls that they claim they got. If you enjoy my content, and especially enjoy my games and look forward to more in the future, then I ask that you please consider helping to fight back against this. The thread also includes a link to the ACLU petition I mentioned in the last journal, numbers and emails for the payment processors, a template to follow, and other advice.

I have already contacted the processors I could get ahold of, my livelihood is once again on the line and I am certainly not going to take that silently.

Censorship will not stop me from making art as long as there are people whose support can facilitate me doing so. Pretty big, and unfortunately quite bad, news:

Today I woke up to the abrupt notice that Itch.io - the site I use to host and sell my games - has deindexed all adult games pending a massive audit of every single one. They claim ( https://itch.io/updates/update-on-nsfw-content ) to be doing this due to pressure from some third party group that does not like Steam and Itch.io hosting these games. They did this without warning, seemingly as a hasty response to this other group. As stated in their announcement until they finish all games will remain delisted, and those that violate the new nebulous rules will face being removed or demonetized.


This negatively impacts me and several other content creators. For the past year or so I've seen commission income dwindle and have therefore leaned more on Subscribestar and the income from my games. This income has been rather instrumental in ensuring I can afford life expenses, afford nice things sparingly, and generally live life. For it to be suddenly cut like this is extremely bad for me, and for now all I can really do is wait and see what the final verdict is on my games and future projects.

In the meantime, I am left without a source of money that I heavily relied on. I am not sure how things will go in the future - but hopefully this passes without a lasting negative impact. It is my birthday today and I'm yet another year older, and still pushing forward!

I've been in the fandom such a long time now, and made quite a few things - and I'm aiming to make more yet, especially with the game I'm working on to join my other published game!

Still not fully back, still waiting on some repairs from everything related to hurricane helene - but trying to return to some normalcy and once more getting to work on my queue (or trying to, anyhow).

This whole thing has left me in a pretty weird mood, so to try to help stabilize some I figured I would pose a question to folks on a project I want to try to work on in between commissions - something related to the Rodentverse stuff that I haven't done anything with in quite a while. I was suggested by someone I care pretty deeply about to try to do stories set in the universe meant to convey lore about that universe while telling some story within it. As such, I want to know what exactly people would want to see if I were to do this: the setting, the theme, and the tone among other things Should it follow resistance fighters? One of the alien factions? Rodent citizens? Conquests of new planets? Want to get some thoughts!

For those that might have cause to care; I have been without power since friday the 27th of September. The damage from hurricane helene was beyond catastrophic - bordering on apocalyptic: unimaginable wind damage, thousands without power even still, twenty two tornadoes in my area alone, and massive infrastructure damage. I was lucky in that the trees that fell where I live did no serious damage even while they fell on the house and that the downed cables were not live. However I lost hundreds of usd in food, days of productivity, and any consistent contact with my friends. I hope that things will normalize now that I finally have gotten power...I hope any of you that have been impacted by this are alive, well, and safe.

Still not fully back, but am alive and safe.

As has been the case the past few years, I'll be altering prices starting in 2023. This is to make up for the changing financial situation in the world around me and so that I can keep paying for things to keep me alive. It won't be too massive, but be on the lookout for the announcement sometime after the New Year.

With another birthday passing, I've made it yet another year! I hope to provide folks with even more stories in the future!

So I was recently reminded that I have an illogical - some would say an unnatural even - number of old pokesonas; mainly eeveelutions. I've apparently had them just withering away, unused, for years now. I don't recall ever having attempted selling them before, so I figured I would - if there would be any interest - put them up for people to make offers on. I don't really have any plans for them and I haven't touched them in ages - also while I'm looking to sell Meli I'd go ahead and put those up too.

If people seem interested, I'll likely put them all up as a single submission and make journals as they get bought (as well as edit the submission's desc accordingly). Some have art, however a few I had absolutely never used - though my lack of interest in them as well as the fact they were never used for very much means I'll be parting with them for far less than I am parting with Meli for.

My HDD is in the process of failing, it seems, incurring a semi-unexpected and rather sizable expense. The new HDD should be in soon - but expect 1-2 days where replies are potentially delayed.

Ahead of me updating my ToS (likely mid February to early March), I'm going to be opening for commissions. I've been mostly closed for a while I worked down on my previous queue. However, with it finished for the time being the time has come to fill it once more.

In a departure from previous times I've opened, I'm doing things a bit differently this time. Rather than having people message me, putting them in a queue, and working one by one through them until something impedes my ability to continue on with the queue or I finish - I'm only going to be accepting a limited number of commissions this time. This is primarily because the past three times, I've had to abandon some of my queue due to some catastrophic world event, like COVID, familial issues, or the like taking my attention.


I'll be opening for five commission slots, with a preference towards shorter ones that can be completed faster - though don't be afraid to ask about long term projects/employment, scripts, or things of that nature. Otherwise, the same rules as previous times apply. Simply send me a note detailing what you want and we'll work something out.

For a while now the area I live in, like most of the wider US and world as a whole, has been experiencing supply-chain issues. Predictions say that they are likely going to end up getting more severe before things begin to improve, with various items, goods, and the like falling prey. The most impactful way this has manifested locally is in the price of food increasing bit-by-bit, as well as some food items being unavailable outright. Additionally, due to the uncertainty, many people panic-buy the cheaper foodstuffs when they are in stock which leaves only more expensive items behind that are much harder to afford and generally tend to last a lot shorter of a time than their cheaper counter-parts.

I have been riding by thus far, however if things are to persist and indeed get worse it will likely start to cause more troubles in the future - so I would like to once again remind everyone that enjoys my content that I have both a subscribestar and a ko-fi (which can be found linked below in the journal footer of every journal and at the bottom of every story I've posted in the description) where people that like my work can give me money which is, sadly, needed to survive. If you enjoy the stories I post, the scripts I've written, the other content I've made, or the game I've been working on (of which there is a new version up on my subscribestar right now!) then I would be quite ecstatic if you would show your support should you have the fortune to have escaped the impact of these global issues.



Also if you are one of the people mass panic-buying perishable food items, please stop - I know half of that which people panic-buy like that goes to waste. You are not helping yourself, and are exacerbating the issue.

Just putting up a journal to let people know that I no longer own the character 'Kiki' (the cyan-furred 'tropical fox'), an older character I haven't used in several years. Instead, the character has been passed fully over to  drakky - an artist here on FA!

They do pretty awesome art and they have quite the fancy for the character, so head on over there if you want to see what developments happen in the future - as well as the general transformation jazzery that happens in their art!




This won't impact my content going forward, as like I said I hadn't felt a connection with or used the character in quite a long time - I simply figured it'd be a good idea to make a journal letting people know!
