Concerning free requests
Posted 2 months agoI rarely get people asking me for free art, but the recent one asked me via PM on Pixiv if I do requests, to which I politely responded no.
Not to sound mean or dismissive, but I just wanna get the word out:
I'm far too busy with SubscribeStar content. Therefore, I had absolutely no time to do free work for anyone. And even if I do have free time, I prefer to spend it on personal art and such.

However, on the off-chance that I do free requests, I'll only offer one for any patron who pledged $5 or more on my SS. You can pledge here (18+ only, obviously).
Another important thing to know before asking:
Never ask people for free art out of the blue. Because it's rather rude for someone to pop up out of the woodwork asking for requests, especially when artists state on their profiles that they don't do requests The only perfect time when you're allowed to ask for free art is by entering raffles whenever an artist is doing one.

I've been scammed on Discord

A Discord user pretended to be a popular artist that I admired approached me on Discord (I honestly don't know how they know my username. Probably through an FA server?) and asked me to send the payment as family/friends for a space-themed dragon YCH. When my payment didn't go through on their invoice, they asked me to pay through their friend's PayPal (once again with a F/F payment). That got me pretty suspicious.
I informed kdromka about it, and he stated that the person I've paid is an impersonator/scammer pretending to be him.
And since I can't file a PayPal dispute on F/F payments, my only option is to send a money request to the scammer's friend, letting them know that the said scammer conned me on Discord. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

SubscribeStar's prohibited content has me worried (edit)
Posted 3 months agoWell, it looks like SubscribeStar is prohibiting fictional incest content being sold or profiteering from (this was updated on Feb 5, 2024).
That means my Making Stars comic will be banned from being sold on my SubscribeStar collection store for containing sibling incest. And yet, a certain infamous popufur (who I won't call out publicly here) gets away with posting their gross pedophilic cub porn there.
Honestly, SS really should've made their prohibited content policy more clear and allow most taboo content in fiction, while also straight-up banning NSFW content of minors in all media (whether it's art or photos).
EDIT: My mutial pointed out that it's real-life stuff that's banned, not fictional stuff.

Sometimes I keep thinking... (still depressed)
Posted 3 months agoI still have this painful weight of my mistake of harassing a certain popular LGBT+ artist for art which led to me getting blacklisted and kicked out of his Patreon. I was so disgusted at myself for being so greedy and careless. And I deserved this punishment for this is all my fault.
But I wonder if he will forgive me and give me another chance in a couple years if I were to make a sincere enough apology?
If my apology works, maybe I will finally be able to have TMpreg art of Galaxios or even a dakimakura of Rosemon from him.

Posted 3 months agoNow that Itch.io has banned incest content (even though the stuff's fictional and involves adult characters), I'm still looking for a different digital distribution store site to sell my completed Making Stars comic in hi-res.
I'm aware that Gumroad wouldn't allow it due to the ban on NSFW content, so I don't think my comic would sit well with them. But SubscribeStar's far more forgiving with it since I'm pretty sure they're aware of fiction.
So any suggestions?
Edit: just found a paid collections feature on SubscribeStar that will come in pretty handy for content creators.

Woes of being hated by a Tumblr community
Posted 4 months agoTwo months after being unfairly permabanned by a popular Digimon community over this controversial image I drew (CW: body horror (sans gore) and something that the mods hatefully react with disgust and rejection), and I still can't over my huge depression. This is probably the biggest mistake I ever made on Tumblr.
I only want positive traction, not a massive wave of hate. Plus, the image in question has Rosemon in it, so there's no reason for the mods to reject it for being "off-topic content"!
I don't think I will ever trust fandom communities on the internet anymore if I keep getting unfairly banned from them.
I need advice, please.

Honestly, I feel that you're being brainwashed by Community Shout just so you can appease moral guardians by delisting NSFW content. It's quite unfair to NSFW content creators that are selling their NSFW stuff that didn't even violate the site's policies.
I'm honestly disappointed. And I hope you reconsider this move.

Posted 4 months agoI didn't receive any new soliciting messages in a while, but I need to make a journal in order give advice to my fellow commissioners/art appreciators out there that may potentially get solicited by random strangers.
A) If you receive a PM on FA, DA, Inkbunny, Weasyl, Newgrounds, etc. from a random stranger (that you don't know very well) asking you, unprovoked, to commission them...
B) If a random stranger sends you a friend request on Discord or Telegram and you accept it, only for them to solicit you to commission them...
or C) If the stranger leaves a comment on your front page, submission or journal soliciting you to commission them...
Just simply and politely tell them "no", calmly explain how rude/annoying it is for them to solicit people, and block them. Especially if they have badly traced art and AI slop in their galleries.
This sort of thing has been a trend for these scammers to solicit popular commissioners (including me), and most of the soliciting resulted in a polite rejection and a permanent block.
