Boost Journal: friend artist is opening commissions
General | Posted 9 months agoArtist and cool person OhellaDarian is opening commission.
They are well-versed in anatomical features and can create awesome figures that are meaty, slim or otherwise. I can vouch for them, as I have paid for commissions from them before, with amazing results.
If you are interested in art with an artist that can do spicy kinks that are anatomically convincing, I highly recommend giving OHD a look.

No Kind of Furry, Just a Furry.
General | Posted 15 years agoI do not have a legit avatar here.
As in, I know not what kind of furry to be, so I choose not to have a kind of furry. I just am (a furry).
This would explain the lack of reference material.
So yeah. If you feel the need to draw someone, don't pick me. I really have nothing to show for it.

Pleasure (Not of Sexual Nature)
General | Posted 15 years agoAs what would this world be measured
If without the avocation of pleasure?
Would this world be as acheronian realm;
More so wicked than present day?
Or would it house, as rearranged,
A different sort of soiree?
(I've not the time or the mental faculties to complete this in one sitting, I apologize. It will be finished at a later date.)

SUDDENLY, MOTHS EVERYWHERE
General | Posted 15 years agoThere's a moth in my room.
I was just about to close station and sleep, and then it latched to my back and started attacking me with its' wings.
Apparently it thought my thick skin tasted too salty, 'cause it's camping on my ceiling now.

I implore you, never post anything math related on YouTube.
The majority of those thousands pf comments tell that the math equation presented on the video (skip to :20) is incorrect.
At this point, I have no idea what to say about these people. Either they were taught differently, they think differently, or they're just retards in general. Or something else entirely, I don't know.
I did the math myself and found it to work out.

Today, a poor man approached me while I was leaving Taco Bell, asking for money so he could travel to Okeechobee, FL.
I gave him $2.50.
Somehow, in his excitement, he started rambling about white supremacy while throwing out gang signs.
I thought to myself, "this man is crazy, and apparently racist."
I smiled, gave him a bro-fist, and left.

Goggle Search - Need Help
General | Posted 16 years agoI'm searching for a certain kind of goggle, and I can't find anything on the internet.
Whoever's seen Iron Man knows about the bald Arabic guy in the beginning. In that one scene where they were out salvaging parts in the desert, the bald guy was wearing a pair of the kind of goggles I'm looking for.
Also, for those who have seen...
I think it was No Country for Old Men, I'm not sure. There was this one scene where some guy on his motorcycle was pulled over by a cop. The guy on the motorcycle was wearing the same kind of goggles.
I tried looking through internet pictures for these. I looked up any pictures of the bald guy, which showed nothing.
Can y'all help me with this?

Movie Recommendation - HERO (Ying Xiong)
General | Posted 16 years agoToday I watched HERO (Ying Xiong) on TV. Marks the third time I've seen it.
Picture yourself in this senario:
You and a friend want to get together some Friday and rent out a kung-fu flick from the local Blockbuster, Hollywood Movie, etc.. The problem is you've both seen the classics like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon too many times.
HERO might very well be a great choice. HERO, released in 2002, is a kung-fu flick that tells the story of an assassination attempt on the King of Qin back when China was divided amongst six kingdoms. The main protagonist, Nameless, debates with the King of Qin on a story for how Nameless' assassination attempt was carried out.
Throughout the movie, one will witness awesome sword battles with impossible physics, just like other classics before it.
But the most notable element in this movie is the color. Each scene is set to a color theme, giving a sort of personality to each part in the movie.
For instance, one scene depicts a version of the story that Nameless and the King of Qin are debating. Punctuating the scene is a love drama between two swords-people, Broken Sword (guy) and Falling Snow (lady). Throught the scene, the setting and wardrobe is a full red color, symbolizing the bond of love (lol, cheezy) between the two.
Without a doubt, this is one movie you won't regret seeing.

The Theremin: Instrument of the Etherial
General | Posted 16 years agoConsidered by most to be the very first synthesizer instrument!
Created in October of 1920, during the Russian Civil War, by Lev Sergeivich Termen (known in the West as Léon Theremin), it was a byproduct of a project to develop proximity sensors.
After demonstrating it to Bolshevik leader Vladimir Lenin, six hundred theremins were commissioned and distributed over the Soviet Union. Their popularity went abroad to the United States, where numerous thereminist concets were held.
Interest decreased in America after the second World War, mainly due to the increase in other electronic instruments that were easier to play. In the 1950s, Robert Moog, a high school student at the time, began building theremins and selling theremin kits to the local populace.
In present day, such companies as Moog Music, Wavefront Technologies, and Harrison Instruments manufacture performance-quality theremins and theremin kits.
What makes the theremin so interesting is that is played without any physical contact whatsoever. The hands move about a magnetic field generated by the theremin via a simple cylindrical coil. As the hands move, the magnetic field changes.
These changes are picked up by two antennas jutting out from the theremin, one for pitch control, the other for volume. The received changes are fed through a tone device, which then is emitted from a speaker as a tone.
Here is a demonstration of a vintage theremin, as played by Samuel Hoffman:

Some Men Miss the Past: BIONICLE Mata Nui Online Game
General | Posted 17 years agoFor those of you wondering, I'm an avid collector of LEGO products. I've been collecting since Christmas of 1992.
I've recently decided to tinker with my old LEGO BIONICLE collection of pieces, and what a blast!
I'm going through and rebuilding all the sets I've collected in the past.
Yesterday, as I was going through my pieces, my sister walks in and decides to join me. She makes a comment about the old Mata Nui Online Game, released in 2001-02.
I go to the LEGO official web site to try and find a download-able version. But it is not there. To my understanding, it has been deleted to make room for their new product version for the new Glatorian.
You can only imagine the chagrin I felt.
An inquiry for those still-avid collectors:
Do any of you know where to find a free-sharing download of this on the Internet? If you do, please give me a reply or shout.

Just goes to show the diminishing attention span of present-day American children.
Oh NO, Can't just read a book and get the opportunity use the imagination provided. Gotta have someone else translate it into some sort of visual context so they don't have to think that hard.
They gotta start learning the classics in a classic view—without visuals. Shakespearean prose, Homer's Iliad and the Odyssey, even Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart...
Maybe, with a little prodding, all that rotting brain space can be put to goos use.

Storyboard/Comic Idea - Your Opinion, Advice Is Needed!
General | Posted 17 years agoP.S. - I apologize in advance for any overuse of any possessive wording like "I, me, my," etc. If I start sounding too self-centered, please let me know.
This evening, I spent three hours playing HALO: Combat Evolved on my PC. So far, the last checkpoint saved was on the Truth and Reconciliation, where Master Chief and his small team end up in that one transport chamber.
After a while, my head stared itching like crazy because of a dandruff problem I was unfortunately endowed with through family inheritance. So I decided to take a shower to be rid of this annoying itch.
As I washed my hair, something in my brain connected, and I came to some sort of epiphany.
I said to myself,"what would a day off be like like for one of those Covenant guys?"
Thus materialized the idea of a short series called A Covenant's Day Off, or A Covenant's Temporary Hiatus.
It would a group of storyboard frames telling out the events that take place in this visual story. My first series will be on the all-familiar Elite, because they're awesome.
Once I find enough time between my education, my homework, and my home duties, I will do some research on the basic physical figure of an Elite, find some models and references, and get started.
What would be your opinion on this?

BioShock: The Mourning Column
General | Posted 17 years agoSo it's the last explorable area before the final boss, and a Big Daddy—with a Little Sister in tow—walks my way.
So off the bat, I throw a ball of Security Bulls-eye at him, which catches the attention of the local baddies. Immediately three Splicers are at him, pumping lead and boppin' on th' head. The Big Daddy decides to take the Little Sister and place her to his back—a gesture I could only faintly see through all the action.
After he kills off the Splicers, I finish him off with a full tank of Electric Gel. I loot him for a hundred-something bucks and search for the source of the crying that is the Little Sister.
...But where is she?
After a minute of intense searching I came to this conclusion: As the Big Daddy pulled the Little Sister away from the action, she had somehow been placed in an impossible spot.
...Which happened to be inside a concrete column adjacent to where the Big Daddy stood before his death.
Thus is my pickle.

Otronicon, FL - Excitement
General | Posted 17 years agoI'll be there this weekend browsing around.
Last year was a blast. This year is expected to be just as good. Lots of gaming abounds, and some fun main attractions.
Main feature will be the Inaugural Machinima Film Festival
where they will showcase an assortment of internet-popular movies made in video games. This takes place in the CineDome
Another main attraction will be a WEDDING. Story tells that couple who met in a HALO 2 game room, engaged a year later, will be having the very first official HALO wedding, "A Match Made in Halo". Will be held on the 17th in the Darden Theater. Afterward, the attendees are invited to compete with the couple in the CineDome until the Halo portion of the Film Festival starts.
A ROCKBAND stage will be set up in the 2nd floor main hall. Tournaments and will be had here also. That, and it is available for just playing; queue in the back. Also featured here is the signature ROCKBAND indestructible drum-set.
Man, you should've been here last year. I got to see the first band for the tournament, FEAST. They were all dressed up as those guys on the Snickers commercials.
We cheered 'em on to sing Greensleves.
Gutair Hero is set out on the terrace. Tournaments and regular play here also.
Dance Dance Revolution is set up next to the ROCKBAND stage. Tournament and regular play will be had.
Also featured is a wide assortment of developmental technology in the genre of simulations. From military and defense, to driving, to tabletop simulators (where the game takes place on the tabletop).
Whoever's in FL and knows where the Orlando Science Center is located is welcome to join me. But I won't be paying for tickets, 'cause we's be skint broke.

My Last Minutes
General | Posted 17 years agoWhilst my skunk-drunk "friends" made merry to the fireworks outside, I was in the living room watching times square with a bowl of chicken-flavored ramen and a cup of cheap-brand soda-cola-pop in hand.
I had finished the ramen off five seconds before midnight.
It was the best night I've had to myself as of yet.
Happy New Year

Devil Got Bored in Georgia
General | Posted 17 years agoTo whoever cares to notice I'm gone,
My parents decided to drag me along for a trip to Georgia to visit grandparents. We set off tomorrow.
I'll be stuck there for two days with no communication to the outside world and probably no new Xbox 360.
I will probably die of boredom.

Might post some photo stuff too.
Yeah, y'know, I'll do that.

Everybody's going on trips and participating in the time of fun, and I'm stuck here in my rather small corner in Florida with nothing but school finals, SATs (Stanford Achievement Test), and ACTs ("Absolutely Crash This" test) to worry about.
*complain, complain*
Found a double-breasted trench coat in the closet today.
A small project is underway!
Reinforcing buttons, that's all needs be tuned fine.
Then I wear it and look so
Fly-y-y-y.
My rhyming's off, I lost it.
Bye.
