It's Christmas! (And what's in the works)
Posted 4 years agoIf by chance you are reading this journal, merry Christmas! Hope you're all feeling well, kr fine at the very least.
I've got lots of stroies planned, yet I have finished none.. I'm just.. not in the mood to write, again, as I mentioned quite some time ago I write at my own pace, and don't stress myself with a proper schedule, but I assure you I'm trying to get something produced.
So what's in the works? Well there's Dragonkind, a series that's going to be a big deal if you are interested in the history of the dragons in my writing, it's essentially a documentary of empires or influencial figures in the past on their planet.. which I will call planet Ethos, not entirely sold on it, but it will do for now.
Next is Estral.. it has suffered a month long pause with several rewrites, if you are a fan of Golden Treasure: The Great Green, you're in for a treat! It follows a Draak-Kin (Still debating whether it should be a Sapphire or Emerald Kin) named Estral, who travelled to Sanctuary Collage in Pyrrhia to continue his studies, however he's raised in a very conservative family and follows pure Kin ways, as such he struggles with modern technology and slang, he'll adapt with the help of his roomates, but he would still like to keep some elements of a true Kin, sucb as hunting for his own food..
Sanctuary is next to a lush forest that people hunt for fun, but unlike others who use firearms.. you may find him wrestling a boar, or crafting a spear on the spot to skew a rabbit, and he does this.. on a daily basis.
Estral might also reveal the fact that Planet Ethos has magic.. to a very limited extent.
That quite enough for now.. expect another journal during the New Year!

How's everyone?
Posted 5 years agoHiya! Sorry for the inactivity, been about... a month since I've posted anything? It feels that way at least, this is mainly because I don't really have any ideas, and the fact that I pause compositions as soon as I'm not in the mood.
I write at my own pace, I write if I feel like it, been planning to introduce the world which the dragons in my works live in, but I simply don't know where to start.
But I sincerely hope I will be able to get something up, but its going to be another world introduction likely, as the dragon's appearance has basically been done for me, I need to come up with a genuine and creative lore, so that I can feel more comfortable with calling them my species (Yet they'll never be completely mine, as... you know, I essentially just stole their design from somewhere else).
From this point on I'll just be rambling about general information of the dragon races in my writing, not organized at all, just something for me to write about.
Firstly, they will live on the same planet as Wings of Fire dragons, but I will change the look of Pyrrhia and Pantala, to make things more interesting you know? Having seven completely different races on the same continent is just a bit odd, you can't realistically expect them to tolerate each other for 8000 years.
Speaking of years, there is no B.C or A.D, they count the years starting from the dawn of dragon society, the name of months will be the same... with the twist that they all have 30 days in them (So it is 360 days a year).
Now... when exactly is modern day to them? For now it's around the year 8100, not completely sold on that idea though.
Will there be other intelligent life besides dragons? Again I'm not sure, I've considered adding Wolves, Deer, Crocodiles, and a lot of other animals, but again, you can't expect them to get along, especially since one gives birth and the other lays eggs, and if there are Wolves, Deer, or Horses, what animals will be used for livestock? What do "Horsemen" or other cavalry ride? I could make an entirely new species for that planet, but I can't be bothered with that.
So that should explain why its taking so long, again, I don't want to just post boxing stories, I want readers to understand that they have historical backgrounds, like how the term "Servosian" is often censored in public media, or how certain species came to be. (Who were their ancestors? Who were they related to? etc).
However I have been considering adding another race, just one more, I don't have a name for them yet but they roughly look like Volteer from The Legends or Spyro franchise, perhaps having more simplified facial features.

Due to my inability to make an original design I steal designs from games or book series.
I will… give credit? Does telling what fandom they’re from plus the company/person who owns them count?

Basically any WoF dragon:
Wings of Fire! Ya know? Just has a whole host of dragon species that have their own unique quirks (although there are “generic” designs such as Skywings), from the book series Wings of Fire written by Tui T. Sutherland and published by Scholastic.
War Dragons:
Ya know… that mobile game? Used to play it, not so much now, but essentially I adore Kastor’s design ok… no not the new one! The old one! It’s still on the War Dragons Fandom Wiki I believe, go check that out! I will not be using Kastor exclusively, I will use his design for some kind of dragon species which I have not named.
Kastor is from War Dragons, currently owned by Pocket Gems.
A mod from a block game:
No, I’m not using the Ender Dragon… I’m using a dragon from a mod called Orespawn, which is a mod that I adored when I was younger, essentially there is this boss called “The King” which is a gigantic three-headed white and gold wyvern, I’ll be using that design… but with only one head.
Orespawn belongs to TheyCallMeDanger (Reichard H. Clark) and Megan Lorraine Clark, they even have a website! Orespawn.com.
A Roblox game
There is this game on Roblox called Legends of Kasai, and I must say, it's just enjoyable, anywho the model I will be stealing is their European Dragon Model, which is the reason why Laval and quite a few of my other characters exist!
Legends of Kasai has a discord server called Forgotten Flames and of course, the game on Roblox, belonging to... Bladster I believe.
And… that’s it, for now.
Will there be updates? Probably, if it turns out to be illegal I will not use works involving characters related to the fandoms mentioned above.
