Arrived yesterday and have been chilling with my peeps. Looking forward to see old and new people!

I've dealt with a lot of deaths but this one hits pretty hard.

If it wasn't for this man, I would not be drawing at all...He helped me and my brother's connection grow stronger and bring us together. We both loved drawing but the introduction of his works was inspiring. When we were kids, we sit and watch dbz on toonami after school, record episodes on vhs tapes, create fan characters and comics with the characters. We would powerup together, shoot kamemehas, and so much more outside. He introduced me to the world of anime, japan, and helped me understand that just because I'm black that I didn't have to solely engage in black culture. I could be different. There was just so much more out in the world that I could do and see. I did more with my art, tried to advance it as much as I could so I could make comics...


So much of the good times of my childhood were because of this man and his creations. Mostly memories created that me and my brother did together with his amazing works.

My brother died years ago so I kept up the tradition of watching Toriyama's works for the both of us...


Seems silly to say, I didn't know the man, but a lot of the things that made me who I am today started with this dude and it hurts.

I'm in tears...

Thank you so much for what you have done...the memories you have made...and the smiles your works have made for not only me but everyone.

It feels amazing to be in better shape and feel good about myself. I can move better and just...actually run around and play with my kid. I plan to go above and beyond with this and gain an actual muscle TT__TT. I'm just imaging being able to flex muscles now. the goal is reachable!
The hubby  theblackrook is down to 229 and and is close losing 40 lb as well and I am so proud of him. We are the exercise Duo.
Just extremely happy right now. I kept with my resolution this year!

Plan on updating the Bri ref to match my progress. YUSH!

Also, funny thing that has happened is that I can't see properly out of my car now lol I'm too low now that I've lost so much weight and have to sit on a pillow to look out the window.

Vacation over. I enjoyed Hawaii way more than vegas honestly. Less hectic and more food that I just loved. So many asian thingsss. And did some hanging out with peeps.

Alright staying here for a couple of days. First thing that hits is the heat. Titties are out. Random screaming. Its not even mid day and I am drunk.ate at ginsing korean bbq on the strip . My internal clock keeps telling me to pass out.

Soooo....land lord lost our money order for rent.HOWEVER, we filled it out so no one could cash it and kept the receipt like usual. Already in the process of getting a new money order so the lost one is voided.
I've heard of this thing happening to many people and the fear is real. This is another reason people at money centers tell you to fill the money order immediately. Bless these people.

I think this is one strike against our new landlord. They're going to eat the processing fee as well.

So following the somewhat end to my totaled car saga. Short summary, driver pretty much killed my car, lied about their insurance, and caused some medical bills.

Yeah, so there's goes that. case for the cart accident was dismissed. Why you ask? because the officer that was in the court room decided to leave 10 minutes before my case was called. and didn't ask for a continuance. This is a fucking joke...my mood is off, nerves are shot, and that smug little mother fucker who destroyed my car leaves with a smile on their face. See them in the parking lot with their mother laughing their asses off. You fucking get to walk away without any consequences! you put my niece in the fucking hospital and risked her pregnancy!

Fuck this system.

My insurance is handling a lot of shit and has paid for everything and plan on suing that piece of shit to get their money back. But god fucking damn, justice doesn't even feel like it was served today!



I want to scream!

Sooo, I thought I've gotten a rough patch with my car being completely totaled in August. Other driver was at fault and ticketed. Court date set on the 24th. Told insurance about it, gave them most information needed. Having the incident report should speed things along.Nationwide vs Progressive. let's go.

Stepping into September, more trouble is about. Towing lot is about to put a lien on my car (car is being moved thanks to my insurance). Claims adjuster has not looked at the car. Of course the other party are fighting to not have to pay for shit, claiming the driver didn't have permission to drive and is not part of their household. Their insurance is investigating this information. So...this ain't going to be easy and talking to my sister about getting a lawyer if progressive says they aren't paying. I know this took time buuuuut it looks like it's going to take bit longer.

And that's where I'm at at the moment. Happy September ya'll.

Pretty much what  Desoto_JellyWereWolf and  redisdead said in the last journal. Our units are privately owned and the owner is looking into selling them to new owners. lease ain't changing or being modified unless the units are sold. if that occurs, we're going to look into moving cuz we are pretty cool with the current management here and would hate having to deal with someone else. (not the only reason, would like to look at different rental areas with better amenities and schools near by).

However, the realtor visiting our unit is only because the managements keeps recommending our house since we're pretty cool with them. It reminded me that this had happened 3 years ago. We thought it was just random chance but apparently not..

Welp, at least the viewing has been moved to another date so we can remedy that issue.

So, was messaged by management that our home was listed for sale and the realtor wants to do a showing on Monday. Of course we were unaware of this and, with the coronavirus, the main office has been closed off for months. Currently trying not to and asking why this is happening and what's up with the rental agreement. Hopefully there's some miscommunication and some info just slipped due to the craziness of the situation. We shall see.

If so, this month will be rather unpleasant.

I would say one of the proudest things I have ever done is giving birth to my son. He may have taken Thanksgiving away from me, leaving me to eat nothing but ice in the hospital, but hearing his cries as he was born made me the proudest.

For 9 months I made this tiny human. And for the rest/most of his life I'm going to see him grow up.

I am thankful for him and his father  theblackrook for having me experience this feeling.

To the other mothers, Happy mother's day. This is a tough job but we're able to pull it off. We are awesome.
