After three separate delays, we finally were able to move into the new place in Albuquerque this Sunday, and have been in the process of unpacking since we landed. I've just managed to finish locating the boxes I'd stashed all my drawing equipment in, so am at present in the process of returning to the completing my artwork, though for the time being it'll be in the somewhat awkward (and kitty exposed) location of the bedroom floor, as regretfully the desk I was using had to stay behind and my chair broke en route (the only casualty of the trip). Regardless, I do wish to give a sincere thank you to everyone who's been supportive and patient during these few months leading up to the move and the crazy chaotic nonsense that occurred during it, and during the period my roommate was unemployed. I often feel I never am able to properly express that sentiment to satisfaction. Thank you.

Courtesy of a twice postponed move and other circumstances, it would seem I get to play Macaulay Culkin this year and get the house to myself (and the cats). Pros; no interruptions with streams, random impulse dinner wishes that I end up having to do all the work for, and a bit of quiet. Cons, no one to chat with or do things with should I desire to do such. Either way hoping to get in a lot of streaming and work, get in some overdue fresh art postings, ect.......and probably a gift stream around Christmas day.

End of this week I will be moving with my roommate up to Albuquerque, as such I am looking to cover as many bills, including helping with the move expenses, as I can; ergo a lot of doodle streaming. As for all existing commissions and the YCH's/ect still in the works. I will be working on them during the daytime hours, and if still lagging in progress after the move, they will become my soul focus with all new commissions closed until the work is completed.

The new computer has arrived and I got everything working on it, thus in the next few days expect streams and fresh posts again finally. The priority on my work will be as follows; a.) the October YCH's that need to be finished, b.) all the comms I had in the works before this happened and traditional ones taken during the downtime (some updated to digital), and then c.) some doodle streams in the next few days in order to secure badly BADLY needed living funds. As for posts, will be putting up a number of pics that had been posted on my patreon prior to the computer breaking over the next few as I also catch up on messages as well. Created a traditional option in my commissions, mostly to help me continue working as I wait on the new computer, but also plan to keep them around for the potential of keeping my skills sharp. I have them priced as 20 USD each, + 10 for each additional character limit 3, and extra if you want the original mailed to cover postage. So yesterday the GPU and we think motherboard shorted and died. Good news is got a fix in the works, but will be at least a week, also the hard drive should be intact so just a matter of recovering files. Apologies for this setback, especially as I had finished work to post. Also will be hard to contact for now as have utilize roommate's tablet. Thank for your patience everyone and sorry again.

It's a mixed bag for me this week, though I'll spare you the miserable details, and instead share with you the adorable shenanigans of our three cats, who are as I write this romping about like they just chugged pure liquid caffeine bouncing between staring intensely out the window and crawling as far as they can into an empty pepsi 12 pack box. With that visual in mind, on to more relevant material; commission work is progressing, albeit a tad slower with only half of what my goal for last week was done. Needless to say that will not stand and do expect significantly more this week, as well as plenty of spooky fun for the holiday before it arrives. Two related notes; I do plan to (finally) begin streaming again later this week (likely thursday as wednesday will likely be grocery day). The other point is for the sake of said grocery day I am opening up one more commission spot so that we can eat here, then closed again till next week as I catch up more. That spot will be first come first serve.

....will actually be multiple YCH's; decided per a suggestion from a friend to, instead of doing one big YCH to help with bills each month; where some of the spots fall prey to necessary angles and scaling issues that render them less desirable then others; instead I would do several smaller 2-3 character ones with multiple themes and all desirable (I hope) spots. Also doing this for October as, given the holiday and the plethora of fun themes that can be devised from it, it allows me to indulge more then one idea I may have. EDIT: also comms will be closed for a bit outside of those YCH's whilst I work on those and some existing work (will be seeing a reprieve finally from the financial troubles stemming from my roommate's prior lack of employment, so will finally have a moment to catch up.)

Okay, so basically with the pace I'm finishing things this week I'm more or less just resolved to post things as I finish them rather than specific days. Yeah not being the most consistent but I do what I can, and works better to sneak in a few at a time and use the rest of my time to draw most of the day, that and I'm being a bit impatient having finished new pics to show them off XP .

So as would be apparent to any following and paying attention to my habits, last week Friday saw a distinct absence of my usual flood of freshly completely illustrations. This was largely due to essentially trying to take too big a bite of my workload for me to adequately digest in the course of a week with my present pace of activity, resulting in a plethora of half finished work, but nothing to provide you my eager followers, and your likely hungry eyes starved for not safe for work indulgence.

Needless to say, in this past week I did manage to complete a number of those partial works I was unable to produce for you prior, and with more very near to completion beyond them. Thus expect not only fresh work to be posted in the remaining hours today, but also more work posted in the evening tomorrow (including an update likely tomorrow on the most recent YCH), as these nearly completed items are brought to fulfillment in that time, and as compensation for the missed appointment of last weeks updates.

((PS, blame the fancy speak on an over indulgence of documentaries playing in the background whilst I work, namely stuff about the Civil War.))

So decided it didn't really make much sense to have my weekly update day be on thursday; it leaves friday as an odd day out between the updates and the weekends when I'm usually occupied with non-art related matters, as well as feeling just naturally disjointed, and I kept pushing them back to friday anyway. So from now on my update days will be on fridays.

Also, will be posting a new YCH later today, featuring a new character. Same rules for completion will be applied to this one as they were to the last one; IE updates on my update days with progress each update until completed. Autobuy price will be up a bit on this one, as had complaints about the last one's being too low and not offering much of a chance for interested parties to at least put in a bid, with most of the slots being bought out within an hour of posting.

Got a bit more to do with the art this week, so waiting till tomorrow evening to post it.

So you may have noticed I never did my weekly update and pic posting on Thursday. That would be because last week was sort of a mess. The weekend before I got pressured into a night of binge drinking with the roommates and some friends, and while it was a good time, it left me feeling off (not in the sense of a usual hangover, but more feeling bloated and sluggish the whole day) and had messed up my sleep cycle. Unfortunately this threw off the equilibrium I had going, and things snowballed a bit, with sleepless nights and illness stemming from the lack of sleep, ect. Thankfully I was able to get a hard 'reset' of sorts this past Sunday (courtesy of a bit of melatonin) and was back on track this week, though with a whole week lost there was a lot to do and not enough time to do it all. Given this I'm probably updating things a bit later in the week, either late tomorrow or early Saturday, so as to have more to show for my labors. It will also include everything that would have been up on both patreon and here instead of the usual 'week early' benefit for my patrons (save for the exclusives in the works for them). The Beach YCH will also be updated with that, expect flat colors for the update with shading/finished, and likely a new YCH this next week as well. I'm also hoping to have a very large chunk of owed work done within these next few weeks. Hopefully I can manage all of my goals, especially as things are not likely to lighten up for me anytime soon, as I may be moving in the next few months, which means I have a lot of other things to take care of in anticipation of that. So it was my birthday this weekend, thank you to all the well wishers and such, was nice to be appreciated, and overall was a nice birthday this year....that is until we got confronted with a bit of a situation....

For those following my journals or who know me on discord, you perhaps recall back in april that my roommate lost his job. Well, he's still searching, and while some promising leads have turned up in the past week, it will still be at least another week before he reaps any benefit from new employment. That being said, we found out thursday that he is at this point broke, as there had been an issue with the tax return funds he had been expecting. As such it's falling to me to try to keep us on our feet for at least another week. After checking some other venues that proved fruitless it became clear that, in spite of my present backlog of work, I need to post a journal looking for assistance. Right now we're looking at needing at least 90 short notice today, with at least another 80 over the week (this being an optimistic assessment too).

Edit: was able to get today's extended a day, so less short notice atm.

We moved a town over due to some issues with the old place, and after we had moved the ISP told us they couldn't make it out till today to install net. So I had to go without for several days with no way to relay the news to anyone. However I'm back now, and will be business as usual starting tomorrow.

You may have noticed I had been posting almost every day for June only to stop abruptly this past weekend. Well don't worry, I still have plenty more coming, I'm just taking a small break on here. Over the weekend it had been due to the holiday and because many were away for AC and such, the rest of the week it will be as I catch up on my other gallery sites, namely inkbunny, as they tend to be lagging behind this one on content (and I tend not to flood sites with content, preferring to keep a pace as I was last month.)
