A Few Notes
Posted 10 months agoHey everyone, here's some quick update of you wanna read them:
1.) I'm writing again. Due to situation involving IRL stuff, writing is now a much more of a priority for me. That tends to happen when you switch college majors and decide to write for a living. It's not fiction writing, but hey, at least I'm good at it. Not to blow my own horn, of course. So expect more updates from now on, now that I'm technically training for a career. A Technical Writer doesn't just write when they feel like it!
2.) Lupine Lemons has been shuffled around a bit. I've renamed chapter 4.5 & 6.5 to real numbers, to remove any pretentiousness. Just because Kingdom Hearts did decimals, doesn't mean I should have with my porn. And even then, that didn't go over so well for KH either, haha. That does mean that everything had to get renamed, so if my stories start showing up in your submission boxes, that's why, sorry!
3.) I'm slowly turning into an Alpha And Omega obsessed 27 year-old. I'm a one-man Humphrey Fan Club, and you can't stop me. More wolf porn incoming at the end of the month.
4.) That's all, no more notes. Okay, bye!

And We're Back! (+ Updates)
Posted a year agoIt's good to be back on here. This whole mess has been a frustrating, insulting disaster. Thanks for the FA team for getting everything sorted out!
Also, I'm working on something for the next week or so. I'm slowly getting back into writing after the start of the new college semester, and having rewatched a couple movies recently, I'm think a new Lupine Lemons or KFP story might be what the doctor ordered. Stay tuned, and welcome back to the site! <3

For Dragoneer
Posted a year agoI didn't know who you were until you were gone, and I'm sorry I never bothered to learn about important members of my own community, but may you rest in peace. I'm sorry that I never knew you when you were alive, and I never even knew you existed, but now, I'll continue to write and create in your name. That way, your impact on the Furry community won't be forgotten by the ravages of time, whatever happens to the site itself going forward.
Thanks for being there for us. I just wish I knew you when you were still here.

2023, In Retrospect
Posted 2 years agoHey, everyone!
I hope you all had a great holiday season. i know I did, what with the constant stress, crazy difficult finals, and overall mental health crises!
Seriously, though. Even with all that crap happening, I'm still glad to be a part of this fandom, and I'm even more glad that all of you read my silliness. So, let's talk about 2023 for a second, and discuss my plans for '24.
So, I started this year with a few goals: write every day, and go back to school to start my really difficult chemistry degree. I managed to get one of those done (that being the school one), but the writing fell by the wayside a bit, even if I did manage to get over my notorious perfectionism. That stuff was (and is, to a certain extent) super toxic, and prevented me from ever sticking to an idea or piece of writing for very long. I literally hated everything I wrote, and writing became a stressful chore that I could just ignore in favor of other things. Still, in spite of that, I hit a new record for the number of Lupine Lemons chapters I put out this year, totaling at (I think) 3 or 4! Ideally, it should have been way more than that, but we'll save that for the 2024 section.
So the year went on, and after a while, I found myself back in school. It was a whole lot harder than I expected, and so my writing had to take a backseat. Like, a super backseat. I realized at the end of the semester that i hadn't written anything in months, so not only was I dealing with stress from that, but now I had the guilt over not writing starting to pile up as well. I did attempt a private project or two, but those never really came to any fruition either, and you'll probably never see them due to the presence of some crazy kinks that I'm pretty sure only make sense to me.
Long story short, I neglected my writing in the last quarter of this year, and I apologize for that. As of writing this, I'm working on two Lupine Lemons chapters (including a Christmas-related story that, due to the speed at which I write, will have to wait for Christmas In July or whenever it becomes topical again. If you want to see it, just let me know, and I'll put it up when it's done. Otherwise, I'll wait for a more festive time), as well as the next real chapter. I was supposed to get those out by the end of the year, but the Christmas story took up way too much time, and still isn't done yet due to constant revisions and IRL junk involving my ongoing mental collapse.
So, with that crap out of the way, let's talk 2024. I know you're not supposed to say "next year will be my year", but I'm going to say it anyway. I did some soul-searching recently, and realized that my #1 issue is consistency. I like to think I do good work in everything I finish, but it just isn't consistent or regular enough, and in the online world, consistency is everything. Thinking about my favorite creators, they all seem to have schedules and regular upload dates, so I think I'll give that a try.
For 2024, I'm going to challenge myself this way: For the whole year, I'll be putting out a story (either a Lupine Lemons chapter, or some other thing) at the end of every single month. That way, you guys get regular updates from me, and I get to use a consistent writing schedule to overcome my perfectionism by brute force. That's my decision, and i think it's a good one. I'm tired of leaving you guys in the dark for so long between updates, so I won't be doing that anymore.
So, that's that. 2024 will be my Year Of Consistency, and you'll be getting regular, monthly uploads all year long. I'll do my best not to miss a beat on that, and I hope you all enjoy my future work as much as I do making it. And yes, I'm currently working on seeing writing as a fun thing again, and a year of it being scary. It's a work in progress, but every story was a rough draft at some point, right?
Thanks so much for every read and favorite and all that, it all means the world to me.
Thanks for reading, Lavender.

I have a Twitter!
Posted 2 years agoWell technically, I've always had a Twitter. But I recently revamped it to match this whole writing endeavor I'm doing, and you can follow me there at SunlightBeam29 (AKA Battleaxe The Wolf). Thanks!
Commissions!
Posted 2 years agoHey there, I decided to post a commissions page! Feel free to check it out if you have some pocket change and would be interested in a story.
A Little Late To The Party, But...
Posted 2 years agoHey all. With SoFurry down, I've decided to take the time to refurbish this page a bit. I also finally finished the next Alpha And Omega chapter, and this time it comes with a free descriptive thumbnail! You know, the kind any writer worth their salt uses, and is invaluable in decided whether you should read a story or not, but I for some reason never bothered with. Well, now that's been corrected. As you all can see, all of my stories now have fancy new thumbnails and stuff, so I finally put in some effort for once. Yay?
As soon as SF comes back on, I'll be uploading Lupine Lemons up on there, as well as trying to get the thumbnail job done on there as well. A great way to start off the year, I guess. Happy 2023, everyone!

A Little Advice, Please
Posted 4 years agoHey, all. A few months ago, I was in a bad financial situation and started a commissions page. However, I had no takers and that project kinda died immediately. I have some suspicions as to what it might have been:
1.) I just don't have the audience yet, and so I shouted in a vacuum
2.) The price was too high. I don't really know average prices or how this stuff works, or how to tell yet.
3.) The possible legality of selling fanfics.
If anyone sees this and knows how to advise me on starting up story commissions in the future, that would be wonderful. Getting paid to write IS kinda the dream, isn't it? I clearly just don't know what I'm doing, haha.
