Why do you not like Satanism?
Posted 14 years agoJust for starters I'd like to apologize for my lack of activity here due to personal reasons.
OK so during a recent exchange of notes between me and
my curiosity was peeked. Unfortunately our exchange of notes has come to an end leaving me wondering what is it about LaVeyan Satanism that people don't like. In an attempt to quench my curiosity I'm gonna open the floor for anyone who has a grudge against Satanism. Here you can explain exactly why it pisses you off?

AS A REMINDER TO EVERYONE, HARASSMENT OF OTHERS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED ON MY PAGE.
THIS IS A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR PEOPLE TO SPEAK FREELY WITHOUT FEAR OF BEING ATTACKED.
Open Floor
Posted 14 years agoRight now I'm running out of ideas for topics to talk about. So I'm going to go ahead and leave the floor open to anyone who has any ideas or topics they wish to discuss. Remember nothing is taboo here so feel free to speak your mind.
Has This Ever Happened To You?
Posted 15 years agoOk so I work customer service at a local book store and I wear my Baphomet pendant out in the open. There are 2 groups of people that I'll encounter, not on a daily basis but at least a few times a week. There are the people who don't notice it (this is the group I do encounter on a daily basis) and there are the people who do. Now of all the people who do notice I can break them up into 2 smaller groups. One group will ask about it out of curiosity and when I explain it to them they'll just leave it at that with a simple response of "Oh ok" or "That's cool.". This group is probably my fave to deal with because they were wondering about something and had the initiative to ask so they can know.
The second group is what this journal is all about. This second group contain the people who notice my satanic pendant and are on a destroy on sight mission. These people are the wannabe evangelists, weekend preachers, and over all hypocrites. I can usually tell who those are right when they ask about my pendant because of the tone in their voice or the look on their face. Sometimes they won't even bother with playing dumb and just get right to the point.
They'll immediately lay into me that it's wrong and that I should repent for my ways. Each of their lectures only lasts a few minutes, longest lasted for a ridiculous 18 minutes, and at the end of it all they accomplished was wasting my time. Unfortunately for me I'm on the clock and there for have to be on my best behavior. I'll just stand there, listen to what they have to say, then give a short reply and hope they give up.
I was wondering if this happens to anyone else out there and if so how often?
I average 3-4 of these fanatical Christians every 2 weeks.

sent me in a note and I felt that what he said was very enlightening so here it is for all of you to enjoy.
"It's been long understood by my self that many try to claim to be Satanists while they really have no clue what our Church is about while others label us are Devil Worshipers etc. So I'm sending you a Five-Point Program reflects attitudes which allow others to decide whether they wish to align themselves with Satanism or not. Each is necessary for Satanic change to take place. I hope you like this as I'm able to share many more things if you wish me too.
Pentagonal Revisionism - A Five Point Program
In recent years, I've wasted far too much time explaining that Satanism has nothing to do with kidnapping, drug abuse, child molestation, animal or child sacrifice, or any number of other acts that idiots, hysterics or opportunists would like to credit us with. Satanism is life-loving, rational philosophy that millions of people adhere to. I'm going to go into something that goes quite a few steps beyond just explaining our principles. Every revisionist movement needs a set of goals - guidelines that are clear, concrete, and that will effect significant changes.
The following Five-Point Program reflects attitudes which allow anyone interested to decide whether they wish to align themselves with Satanism or not. Each is necessary for Satanic change to take place.
When asked what we're "doing", here's what say and not look like a fool:
Stratification
The point on which all the others ultimately rest. There can be no more myth of "equality" for all - it only translates to "mediocrity" and supports the weak at the expense to the strong. Water must be allowed to seek its own level without interference from apologists for incompetence. No one should be protected from the effects of his own stupidity.
Strict Taxation of All Churches
As Satanists we believe that if churches were taxed for all their income and property, they'd crumble overnight of their own obsolescence, and the National Debt would be wiped out as quickly. The productive, the creative, the resourceful should be subsidized. So long as the useless and incompetent are getting paid, they should be heavily taxed.
No Tolerance for Religious Beliefs Secularized and Incorporated into Law and Order Issues
To re-establish "Lex Talionis" would require a complete overturning of the present in-justice system based on Judeo-Christian ideals, where the victim/defender has been made the criminal. Amnesty should be considered for anyone in prison because of his alleged "influence" upon the actual perpetrator of the crime. Everyone is influenced in what he or she does. Scapegoating has become a way of life, a means of survival for the unfit. As an extension of the Judeo-Christian cop-out of blaming the Devil for everything, criminals can gain leniency, even praise, by placing the blame on a convenient villain. Following the Satanic creed of "Responsibility to the responsible," in a Satanic society, everyone must experience the consequences of his own actions - for good or ill.
Development and Production of Artificial Human Companions
The forbidden industry. An economic "godsend" which will allow everyone "power" over someone else. Polite, sophisticated, technologically feasible slavery. And the most profitable industry since T.V. and the computer.
The Opportunity for Anyone to Live within a Total Environment of His or Her Choice, with Mandatory Adherence to the Aesthetic and Behavioral Standards of the Same
Privately owned and controlled environments as an alternative to homogenized and polyglot ones. The freedom to insularize oneself within a social milieu of personal well-being. An opportunity to feel, see, and hear that which is most aesthetically pleasing, without interference from those who would pollute or detract from that option.
This is the encapsulated version of the current thrust of Satanic advocacy. So when someone asks you, "Well, what do Satanists do?", you will be qualified to tell them.
Well that gives you and the others a bit more input into the nature of our Church. If you are happy with this I will bring forth a new topic soon.
Regards,
Xavier"

One Month In and Still Going Strong
Posted 15 years agoWell it's been 1 month since I started this group and I'd really like to thank everyone for their support, understanding and over 400 page views.
I'd like to start this month with a question of how becoming a Satanist has changed your life for the better and yes the worst; because this is the reality of life and we all should know that shit will always find you no matter what.
Satanism has really helped make things better in my life because I use to be very afraid of well pretty much everything. I would always repent and feel bad about "sinning" or doing things what were "not christian". I would often "hope" for something good to happen and pray that it'll stay that way. But after I converted I started taking responsibility and the initiative (most of the time when I'm not being lazy). I would also bear the weight of a lot of things, mostly the results of other peoples' actions. All of that actually started to negatively effect my health to the point where I needed serious medical attention. Now I'm able to let things go and I'll allow people to deal with their own messes. When it comes to obtaining something within my power I'll go ahead and put all my energy into it. And once I've achieved something difficult I would not thank or give credit to God for all of my hard work.
As for the bad side. Well my relationship with my parents almost dissolved completely but we're working on it and doing better. And yes people from time to time harass me at work when they see my Baphomet Pentagram. Other than that things have been pretty good. I have no regrets and no plans on going back to my old ways and beliefs.
Also if anyone has any ideas, topics or suggestions for this group feel free to drop me a note.

Past Beliefs and Changes
Posted 15 years agoI was wondering what some of you use to believe in before you discovered Satanism. I was raised Catholic for 21 years before I finally renounced my faith. There were a couple of things going on in my life that made me question my faith. The biggest issue for me was coming to terms with the fact I wasn't straight. My parents are hard core Christians (converted over a few years ago) and pressed upon me that I was going to Hell for being the way I was. I didn't find the logic in the fact that my "God" would send me to a place of misery for having homosexual tendencies, which would be a direct result of how "God" created me. So that was the biggest thing for me to renounce my faith in the lord (as well as lose trust in my parents). Now I say "biggest" thing because there were a few other minor things too but they're really not worth the mention here.
So what did you use to believe in and what made you change?
P.S. If you want to add how you discovered Satanism feel free to add it too. I was always curious about it but never researched it till I read the Satanic Bible I bought from work 3 years ago.
