Every year I do this, and I always forget something, hopefully this will be the combo breaker. I've forgotten things like game saves (lost my progress in HL2 and HL2Ep1 respectively over 2 years), important randomly found fonts, and the like. Almost forgot stuff on my desktop just now. More stuff is still copying. I'm also taking this time to organize my external HD a little better, since theres so many copies of full folders of stuff all over.

I'm also planning on putting ubuntu on a partition of my external just for the fun of it. I really only limit myself by ever trying to use a linux distro, but I have a hard time saying no to those awesome looking non windows or mac OSs. I tried kubuntu last and liked it, but I want to see what the original ubuntu is like.

Ah! forgetting my FF bookmarks. This is a bitch part, because I keep bringing over everything and never removing anything. I've had many layers of organization, but there's still so much to go through that I don't bother.

Finally after a well deserved "vacation" Im back to programming. Its been a rough start back into things because theres a lot of API (words that tell the computer what to due that aren't naturally part of C++, need specific files to tell it to know about these words) that I had forgotten about and some things are fickle to write and I never do a perfect job translating anyway. Point is Im starting a card game project up again with a better approach.

I also have some issues to resolve with my closest to finished project: ZAMI (Zombies Ate My Icons), but that still wont be easy or quick to finish at the rate that put me down to finishing it. See what happens why I rely on other people's code? Of course in contrast if I don't I end up taking forever to get anywhere.

been awhile since I've done a meme... well, the last journal wasnt one at least

10 months and 5 days. Due to third party issues, I am now single again. Me and  riyunailo got along so well. Now sadly we've gone our seperate ways. At least we're still great friends though, because she really means a lot to me. Without her, I have one friend. A great friend, but someone not always there for me. Neither of them were with how far away we live. I really appreciate all they both had done to make my life so fulfilled, but now is different from when they impacted my life so much and Im left with so little.

Well, regardless, I still have them. And hopefully there will still be plenty of great times in our lives together. Specifically, if things go as they should, me and Riyu will be going to AnthroCon 09. At least Im going, but it would be epic if she could make it. Partly because the main people I want to meet and actually speak to for a bit are people quite famous and I might back down. Knowing her, she wont let me do that, and would like to converse with most of those same people as well.

Well, just got back from a great weekend with my love and best friend's birthday. Went to outback and got food I dont normally get to be nice and try and be different for the occasion. Bad idea, said my stomach, baaaad idea~.

But anyway, besides that, my gaming habbits have been in a weird mess lately. TF2 is getting boring when I wont play almost any class because I balance time out in proportion to how much I like the class at the time. So medic's got 28+ hours, and the soldier has a solid 10 minutes, the next lowest being around 14 hours as the scout. So I wont play Medic, Pyro, or Heavy because they're so much higher with the time put in for achievements. Then I refuse to use the soldier because of a few reasons, mainly I just dont like him personally. Which I guess means valve did a good job at making the characters have dynamic personalities that actually mean something to you personally. Then sniper and scout are very specific to where you use them, so I cant just put a good few hours into sniper because Id like to. Need the right map and no or maybe one crappy sniper already. Then for the spy, demo, and engineer, they're too high in play time to keep playing if any of them are the next achevments, or they'll end up too close to the medic if not surpassing him (the spy would be able to). I know, Im weird and picky but it gives me an extra element of gameplay.

The other weird things that have been going on with my game habbits is I've lost interest in Castlevanias, so badly want to play Guilty Gear, give my PS2 no love, wont keep playing No More Heroes, and have gotten Pokemon Red emulated on my PSP, and becoming addicted to it.

Well then, since FA is finally back I guess I should upload all of these things I've drawn while it was down. What? I didn't draw anything? :<

Well at least I'm working on something right now and its turning out well. I actually spent most of FA's downtime programming a game I'm working on. Still debating if its a good idea to release another demo or not. It would still be a lot of content short of the completed product, but then again I don't want to give too much either. You can find the current demo here: http://devimg.net/?Post=540 It'll have most of the monsters from Zombies ate my Neighbors (SNES) and all the weapons are hand drawn then carefully redone in pixelation. Sounds will mostly be from CS:S weapon mods. So I just need to put a lot of time into drawing the weapons and their animation frames, the rest is just graphic/sound gathering.

I saw a diagram fairly recently that I think explained very well why I don't like the things I have a problem with. Then because that's just how people work, to like things that way, I get more pissed off that everyone whores over these things. Simplicity. That's the problem. Google's main page has one title, text field, and a button to search. iPOS..er iPOD has a wheel and a center button. et cetra. The point is I'm a programmer and a geek. Let me put that in perspective for you guys:

The first thing I did when I learned about terminal access to a router in my Cisco networking class, was to go home and write a program that didn't do anything, but would prompt and accept text to mimic that. I wrote an encryption file system based on genetic encoding. I want to learn to hack/mod things so I can build home security where doors only open to an RFID card or by admin access via a computer terminal using wifi or bluetooth. And I wanted to try at several times to create an operating system. Im still thinking about trying right now even for something small right now.

The point is, people like simple things, I dont. I prefer yahoo over google, I prefer a psp or iriver over iPODs.

So I've finally been getting less lazy, although that doesn't do me much good if I work so much more, which is just the case! I finally got the day off and got to spend it with bank things, food shopping (there isn't even as much as bread in our house, I have friends in more financially challenged homes that have plenty of food at any given time I visit.) and then to my drawing. I have a couple other pictures I finished, and maybe something I'll use as an avatar for awhile. But I cant get to all that just yet because tomorrow is the last day I'll get to do it for awhile. My weekends are usually full of unnecessary hours now because of a new store program that increases our workload and cuts our work hours. Im cut about $60 something a month I believe it totaled to. And with loans I should start paying back before interest gets them to multiply like rabbits in spring. So I'm not too happy about that, but what can I do?

Oh, and I started playing War Rock again, and wow it sucks. I remembered it as this great free fps, but really as long as Im playing on an ATI card it apparently will suck, regardless of the spec differences between this computer and the one with the nVidia I used to play on that it looked and worked flawlessly. Also lag has only gotten worse... with the same internet connection, obviously either the graphics card or the processor suck. Yet again, this Intel is around twice as fast as my AMD, which played flawlessly. Then theres the new stuff they added with different guns that give people amazing raping ability against those who dont have the best gun equipped. Also, the mp5 (weak assault rifle) is much more effective than the sniper rifle. Any better assault riffle will be even better than the sniper rifle because you can litteraly pick someone off from all the way across the map, firing at the same accuracy of the sniper rifle if you line the red dot up right and tap the trigger. It fires much faster and with as strong or stronger shots. There's no need for hand guns because they'll always be out-shot at any distance. Then as far as fists go, I havn't been able to hit anyone with them even somehow getting right up on some one's back while going around a corner. Overall, compared to the much better refined games of Counter Strike: Source and Team Fortress 2, War Rock is not worth my time anymore. The only thing I could possibly want out of it is the ranking system, where the more you do (get kills and capture points) you level up ranks. I just want to get to Lt. for some reason, I like the sound of the name.

But recently I found an old broken pair that has one working side and so ... Im a little happier, but its not the same :< I'll have to find another pair to buy D: why do they have to be so expensive for how long they last? Just some update kind of information. Had a nice Vday as I got to hang out with my best friend and  riyunailo :D

Interestingly enough I finally get to cash like 5 checks I've been lazyily collecting lately and get plenty of money, which is good because my wallet is dangerously empty. Would help if I didn't have to pay $5+ for my past two dinners. Oh well, it was a nice change in food and who I eat with.

That's about it. School's been alright, an ex-friend had been a real jerk to me and is already planning on forcing a roommate change suggestion on my current roommate to hopefully kick me out of the dorm or at least get me away from him so she can go see him. She thinks he's really hot. I should bring up my copy of guilty gear the day she tries anything to ensure he wants me around. She's just a spiteful ... woman, and all these problems come from the fact I'm furry and I think she has a nice body. Which she does. Nice good hips but not too big. Although being with  riyunailo apparently a little bigger than the girl is still very good. ;3

Today is my one month anniversary with  riyunailo . I asked her out New Years night and she called and accepted the next day. We went to a Petco last weekend to shop for anniversary presents and got each other collars. Mines a simple black dog collar. Hers is a nice red leather belt like collar. We both enjoy enjoy them and have been happy together thus far :D

Otherwise news goes as:
I spent two whole weeks without a real mouse (just using the touch pad on my laptop) and wow was that painful and miserable. Luckily I found my trackball mouse's ball I lost/forgot here (home). Strangely I forgot to bring the rest of the mouse home with me so I still have 2 more days without it.

Also  riyunailo 's birthday present still hasn't arrived yet. I checked and it said that it was shipped out the 14th... 12 days from now it'll be a month of waiting for it to come!

I have like 10 basic sketches I still haven't done anything with. I'm so lazy. I also can't find my pencil either, so I'm probably stop by work to pick up stuff like that. I have money to do it with too, even after buying a shirt and C today at the mall with friends. Speaking of which, I appear to be in a very interesting situation with 2 of these friends right now in a very good manner. No more said, I'll be happy the next time we get together.

I might just keep you all happy with a the one drew me for part of my Christmas present. Scan that, color it all nice, and show that off. She did really well on it, and I'm impressed and proud of her for it.
