Hello all.

I have something terrible to share with you. A few days ago, when I was doing stuff on my phone, my dad called me to get downstairs for a conversation. It was about my grandfather, the father of my mom. He had been suffering from dementia for a few weeks, and things looked dire for him. He had been living in a nursing home not far away from where he used to live on his own, and his situation only went downhill from there. Sure, the people looked after him A-OK, but my mother complained about them not giving her father the proper care he needed. That has been settled however. But yesterday when I was called downstairs, my mother sat with me on the living room couch for a while.

Mom told me that my grandfather would have one mere week left before he would... let's say, depart to the other world. But we were all in for an even greater shock. Oneday when the people in charge of the nursing home went and checked if my grandfather was doing well, he didn't answer or move, like, at all. It turned out he had been sleeping for a while, and had DIED IN HIS SLEEP. I really didn't know what to say or what to think, and it was only today just before leaving my workplace at the gardens and taking my bike back home that I really began to feel the weight of the unfolding situation. I returned home just a few minutes ago and was planning on handing my mom a small bouquette of flowers that my boss made for me back at the gardens. But when I did return home, none of my parents were home. They were nowhere to be found. Yes, Labradoodle Yani was home, but she wouldn't have a dang clue as to what to do with a bouquette of tiny flowers, would she?

When I heard about the shocking news about my grandfather, I'd imagine the ceremony would be happening in about three, maybe four days from now, just so that I would be able to shake off that sad, negative feeling that I still have as of writing this Journal. But to my... disappointment (is that the right term to use here?), the ceremony would take place an entire WEEK from now! Why the HELL would it take so long? Why would they take so long for my family to realize my grandfather had only two weeks to live? Is it because my family didn't expect the death of my grandfather to happen this early so they had to suddenly and quickly organize and prepare everything needed for the funeral to be held? And what makes it sting even more, is that the very next day after I heard the news from my parents, it happened. My parents told me that the doctors -- or whoever was there to estimate how long my grandfather would still live -- said it would, at max, two entire WEEKS before he would... let's say, depart. Yet he died the very next day after the day I received the news from my parents! That is utterly shocking, especially when you combine that with the fact that it will indeed take so dang long to prepare the funeral.

I'm so happy to be on the fandom again! I got a new computer system for my 23rd birthday, and my younger brother, being the one who also managed to put all my music back on my new iPhone, has transferred everything from my previous computer to my new one (TYSM, bro!), and I'm so happy about it! The logging in was a bit tedious, but then I noticed that I just had to use my Username in the last panel instead of the verification code that I got sent via mail.

Recently I set my Commission and Trade switches to ON, because I was really curious for what kind of messages I'd get from all of you. Haven't gotten any yet though. But I am eager to get some Notes or Shouts from anyone who has a cute or cool concept to draw. It can be a Furry-based one, or just a simple ''This scenario plays out''-kinda pic. I think you get what I mean by that.

I do NOT get paid by anyone to do art, everything I've done so far is requests from other users, plus some surprise gifts every now and then for random people.

Anyway -- If you've got an idea or concept you want me to try out or make for you -- again, just give me either a Note or a Shout, and we'll discuss further on the desired details! I'm just happy to mean something to others during this difficult time, if you know what I mean. So don't hesitate to give me your ideas! So, some time ago, Nintendo announced their Booster Pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, right?

First off, I'm really glad we FINALLY got some ACTUAL new stuff for the Mario Kart franchise that isn't just a YouTube compilation of Retro Track Predictions or Custom Tracks made by incredibly loyal fans. I'm very glad that Nintendo is still willing to surprise us with these kind of things.

But, I am worried about their whole idea of adding a ''Booster Pass''. You see, I played the Wii U version of MK8 when that launched all the way back in 2014, and later down the line I decided on buying the DLC. I played the heck out of it by now, and ever since, it's been EIGHT whole YEARS since we heard ANYTHING about Mario Kart that wasn't the gotcha bullshit that is Mario Kart Tour or the incredibly lame freakshow that is Mario Kart Live Home Circuit! With the Booster Pass, they are bringing back tracks that we wanted for ages now, like Tour Tokyo Blur or N64 Choco Mountain. But here's the catch. They announced that they would put in a pack containing a couple tracks each month -- and it goes on UNTIL MARCH OF NEXT YEAR! I am deeply concerned about this. First off: it means that we will need to wait AT LEAST another YEAR before we will be able to do anything new in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (or at least, before we will have everything playable) -- and Second, it goes against the entire thing of it being the Deluxe version; why call it Mario Kart 8 ''DELUXE'' if you're going to add extra PAID DLC later down the line anyway? And then what? Will they sell us ''Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DELUXE''? For sixty frikkin' dollars, or fifty-or-so euros here in Europe?

The next thing I'm concerned about, is the announcement of the Wii U and 3DS éShop closing next year. First things first though -- when Nintendo said they would stop adding new content or games TO the éShop, I decided to buy the few games that I actually wanted to try out, such as Devil World on the NES, or Yoshi's Island 64 (Yoshi's Story). But yesterday, they dropped a bomb on us -- they announced that they would CLOSE both 3DS AND Wii U éShops in March of 2023. That is just ridiculous in my opinion. Stop uploading games and services is one thing, but closing off the entire online shop is another whole new issue, at least for us consumers.

Call this just my silly theory if you want, but I think Nintendo is forcing us to leave our old comfy systems behind and move on to their ''newest'' device (which by this time is already five years old mind you, and has countless issues Nintendo actively doesn't attempt to fix because they know they'll reel in even more money from costumers who send in their Switches in order to be ''repaired''). I'm talking about things like the infamous ''Joy-Con Drift'', dead pixels on the screen, audio delay among other ''small issues''.

Please let me know what your thoughts are on the matter, because I desperately want to talk with someone about all this bullshit Nintendo is forcing their most loyal fans like you and me.
