Pretty major update on things.
Posted 3 years agoSo I mentioned this before but these past couple months have been... not great and things kinda came to a head last week. Long story short I had a serious meltdown and spent some time in a mental hospital. I'm now on some mood stabilizers and so far it's... been weird. Not a bad weird, but... just weird not craving alcohol and having anxiety attacks every day. Things are still not ideal, I've lagged behind on everything and I basically have till the end of September to move... somewhere. I'm probably leaving my home state. I'm hoping I can find a place I feel comfortable at, but we'll see. Some friends up north are hoping I can move to them so they can keep me direct compony and I really want to make that a reality. I could really use that. For the time being right now though, my main hope is to stay sober and get back to drawing now that the constant shaking is finally starting to die down, still not gone, but getting there.

I know some JP fans still follow me and are pretty aggressively stubborn to understanding how fucked this dude's perspectives are. but this video is pretty interesting to sort of understand exactly where I come from in terms of never trusting this dude's opinions outside of his recent ass showing in which he demonized a trans man for daring to have his breasts removed as if it was some kind of crime considering the dude was never dating men in the first place and it would never have made a fucking factor outside of implying that homosexuality itself should be criminalized. but you know the dude kind of sucks. so yeah. it's pretty redundant for most of you. I assume but it might be fun for some of you to watch.

The GOP has made it very clear. they have no goddamn agenda outside of just torturing people and the name of looking proactive because they do not benefit the people and never have for a long time. there is no purpose to stuff like this. this is literally just designed to torture children like I was tortured as a child myself. I beg you. You need to make your fucking family understand the pain that they are putting others through. by supporting these fucks, you need to put these fucks in their place to make it clear that they need to back off and leave us the fuck alone!

No one wants or needs this to get worse. This shouldn't even be a potential problem but this country has conditioned me to expect nothing but the worst.

COMMISSION COMPLICATIONS (resolved)
Posted 3 years agoSo long story short, I accidently locked myself out of my main google account and in turn, my email with all of the commission information on it. I'm going through the recovery process right now. TBH it's been a stressful multi day process and they are giving me a 48 hour long waiting line. I have access to my work email (ldraptorworks@gmail.com) but not my main. If you need to get ahold of me, please contact me through that. I'll also be requesting each commissioner to forward their emails to that account so I can still access the commission information. sorry about the inconvenience. I'm practically having a heart attack.

Posted 3 years agoSo I've been pretty quite on here and still haven't sent out those damn emails. honestly, gonna note each person who got a slot and double check if they even want it anymore. It's been a rough couple of months. I've been going through hell trying to figure out where to go. I probably can't afford my current place long-term and have no real back ups as of yet. I had some hope of moving up north to live near some friends in Seattle but that's looking to be a way harder project then I thought. Meanwhile the past month has just been news after news of absolute shit. The anti-LGBT movement gaining for traction, getting more militant and more violent, SCOTUS showing their hands as completely wanting to overturn basically any progressive thing they can, leaving the flood gates open for many states to be become fundamentally unsafe for me and millions of others. They have already stated the next rulings they want overturned including ones that prevent states from outlawing sexual acts outside of marriage(sodomy laws), gay marriage, and others. Everyone going on about how it's guaranteed to get worse as we head to a recession and an election cycle bound to be defined by even more control going to the party that has directly declared me an enemy. On top of that, due to Covid spikes, gas prices, and executive disfunction I basically found myself spending all of it alone. Just stewing in anxiety, uncertainty, pessimism, alcohol, and dread. It's been... a bad time. I'm trying to keep it together and get back into some kinda functioning shape, but it's moving very slow. I'm gonna be spending my July cleaning out my storage by myself because I can't afford it anymore. I have to decide how much of my past I'll be saying goodbye to forever and TBH it's been a whole different flavor of overwhelming. Not because I wanna go back... but because it's all such a deep memory of how much I wished my future would be brighter then at that time... That I no longer had to be afrade of being queer or the abandonment I was but through because of it... and knowing it's still so far from where I hoped... I'll get there... somehow... even if just finding a group and I live around... instead of by myself...
TLDR, I'm gonna try and send out a bunch of notes to those who opted into commission slots and I never got back to, asking if they still want them. It may be slow because I'm still dealing with a lot emotionally.

Posted 3 years agoI'm sorry I haven't gotten to them yet. I was hoping to make it to BLFC this year with said money but shit didn't work out and I kinda fell into a DEEP depression spiral that led to me kinda becoming useless for the past 6 or so days. literal fog where I couldn't concentrate on anything and just wanted to stop existing along with a SERIOUSLY messed up sleep schedule where I basically couldn't stop sleeping. I'm still recovering and will be sending those emails out likely later today. I'm gonna try and be better about this, but I'm just going through a LOT.
for those interested in a life update, I'm currently liquidating my storage unit to save money and it's been... rough going over everything and deciding what to hold onto and what to get rid of. so many memories of a past life... reflecting on how I wasn't able to enjoy it like I wanted... that sorta thing... I'm also looking into moving again, but this time physically closer to friends. I can't stand not seeing friends on a regular basis and it really fucks with me. It's looking like I ultimately can't stay in the Bay though. It's just... too expensive. It fucking hurts so much knowing I'm leaving so many behind. So many people I've grown to love, but if I can't see because I literally can't even the gas to drive places at this point. I might be heading north to live with some friends in Seattle but that's still in the air. Part of me is really scared about it. Worst case, I end up being forced to move in with Mom in Texas. I don't trust their local government to not try and take away my rights to HRT though. And seriously, I'd rather DIE then detransition. It would be a literal body horror every day. Posted 3 years agoso this past weekend I actually was in Seattle visiting some friends and sort of getting away from it all for a bit. had a really good time. that being said, it wouldn't be a trip if I didn't up getting sick afterwards, so I'm currently working through what is likely a cold of some sort. I'm just staying isolated and staying hydrated for the time being. so commissions are going to be a bit slow for a bit.

Posted 3 years agoI don't want to get too into it, I'm sure you all are aware the world is kinda... in a state right now, and I'm pretty emotionally existed to the point of kind of making me full on mentally withdrawal and disassociate. I don't want to make any of that about me tho(though the Texas thing really hit close to home in ways I don't want to get into), I just wanted to let you know why I've been so quite.
I've been slowly making my way through my owed batch and I'm on the final couple. I'm hoping to open for a new batch of commissions this weekend.
I'm also trying to limit my stress so I'll continue to try and keep journals here to a minimum and I've been working hard to not drink without compony anymore. It's... something, but yeah.

Posted 3 years agoSo twitter has been amusing today. Apparently a bunch of zoomers started making lean references and memes because of... Fnaf related stuff? IDK. well, they apparently recently found out that lean was a drug and are flipping out very publicly about it and -shaming- those who did such, which is honestly hilarious to me. For those who don't know, Lean is basically just cough syrup mixed with sprite (and apparently sometimes jolly ranchers?) and drunk to get a cheap opioid high. It's also incredibly easy to OD on because of course it is. It's also known as sizzurp and purple drank which where the names I knew them as growing up.
Anyways, here's a pop song from 12 years ago that referenced it in the chorus first thing.
Don't mind me, my 29th birthday is approaching like a freight train so having a laugh at teens being all insecure over not knowing an old party drug is just cathartic.
And before anyone starts shit, NO I don't suggest anyone actually do it, not only is it easy to OD on, like I mentioned earlier, its effects are apparently kind of lame and you can get better downers these days from other, safer, means.

The fandom deserves a better identity than having dick heads like this be figureheads.
I was on the fence about speaking up about this guy because I honestly got the impression he was a naive person and he might still be naive here, but at this point it's incredibly insulting for him to jump on this genuinely cancerous money laundering scheme. he has done only what benefits himself over and over and I'm fucking sick of it. his shit isn't special, go pay better artists. Quick update on things.
Posted 3 years agoSo I couple days ago I slipped in the apartment stairwell and landed directly on a concrete step with my spine. I spent most of yesterday laying on my stomach waiting for it to heal. My back got really swollen and sensitive but that's finally mostly gone at this point. still hurts, but getting better. That's why I haven't been able to do much work and why I haven't given out the drafts for my current commission batch yet.
