I've felt super sick this past 2 weeks and then suddenly went really downhill and had to come out of work (which I never do) so I managed to see a doctor and it turns out to be tonsillitis ;v;
He was super thorough with everything, so I'm on antibiotics but I'm in a lot of pain & feel super weak, I've been dying in bed xD I just wanted to say since I've been slower with commissions before this built up to where I am rn, but hopefully the medication works and I'll be back at it! I'm dreading the lack of money for having to take time off work tho ;o; I might have to open some bigger YCH or just general commissions bc May/June is gonna be a struggle </33

Just as a warning, this isn’t the happiest post ;v;)/

I’ve been super sick since Boxing Day with a bad tooth infection, I managed to get antibiotics and I’ve been on heavy meds for the past 2 weeks in preparation for when I can finally get into my own dentist ;-; It’s been so bad aaaa I’m not looking forward to my dental bills this year;;
Dealing with other dentists has been so rough with empty promises etc, I’m so disappointed in the state of how these dental offices are working in the U.K. since covid. I’m studying as a med student in a pharmacy and the amount of people who are trying everything for at home remedies for tooth pain is so upsetting. </3 my pharmacist was great and was pushing me to contact the people I need to even when I was on shift so I was really thankful for that (but I think he was also just happy I was making the effort to still come to work during the busiest time of the year despite the insane levels of pain I was in- better than sitting at home with no distractions though.)

Christmas and new year were really rough after we lost my grandad last year, and I truly felt so sad to the point I couldn’t enjoy any of it. I feel awful saying that as I love my family and friends dearly, but my heart is still grieving and I’m still learning how to tackle life feeling this way. We always had traditions and a lot of them revolved around him, so it felt empty and lonely trying to manoeuvre through those days without him there.

My mum was diagnosed with skin cancer and had 2 operations this year, and thankfully (with everything crossed) is clear at the moment, we got the news of her having that the day after we found out my grandads funeral date, so it’s really, really been the worst year of our lives.

So I’m still in a lot of pain, And I know I’ll be having more procedures for other health complications sometime this year but I’m glad the most stressful period of work is coming to a close and I can focus on my studying more (I hope!) I might try and take some time out of work to do a bit of self healing. I’m struggling at the moment but I’m not at the point where my mental health is drowning, I’m just... tired? Exhausted, actually. I just know I have to take time for it soon. There’s some other things happening in my personal life I can’t mention here just yet, but I hope will get better quickly.

I also wanted to thank you guys so much for your support this year and helping me through some rough patches earlier this year when I lost my grandad, this is truly the kindest and most welcoming Community that I’m blessed to be a part of, so thank you again. I’ll forever cherish this place. ❤️

Sorry for being SUPER inactive, after my initial tooth pain it turns out I did have an abscess! I never wanted to pull my own tooth out before but there I was xD I still have to go to the dentist properly for procedures and I won't go into it all, but I wanted to put an update saying I'm back on the Commission grind! Thank you to those who Commissioned me and have been so patient ;-; <3 I NEVER take this long to complete work for you guys and it's honestly put a strain on my mentally, but the support is just so amazing and I can't thank you enough!

My partner had their 30th Birthday last Friday and it was a nice day! With that big milestone tackled I don't have much in the way of drawing again now, so I've been working all morning/afternoon to get work back to you guys ;v; Thanks again, I really mean it <3

I'm going to be opening up emergency commissions or putting together some YCH (to be finished after my current short queue) because I'm having an insane amount of tooth pain and of course it's on the longest bank holiday weekend so no dentist will see me ;-; </3 I think I've got an abscess under a recently cracked tooth, and since I'm not registered currently it'll cost me double apparently, which absolutely sucks </3

I also want to apologize if any commissions in my current *small* queue are a little late due to the pain I'm in ;o;

I'd also like to clarify the reason I'm not registered is due to trauma from a dentist experience as a child which put me into a private dentist and I just never went back after 16;; Which I know is bad, but it was an experience that has forced me to not to back to the dentist for like 10 years. I'd prefer it if people didn't ask details on the subject however, thank you!
I've not had tooth pain THIS bad since I was super young and I'm 95% it is an abscess and I'm not gonna' gross people out on how I know that xD But yes, the procedure is definitely going to be out of my budget, so I'll be opening some options up this weekend <3

As an update on the possible redundancy, I ended up scoring high in points (due to the work that has been evidently done since being with the company) I kept my job but only working the one day a week, which is a total pain in the butt bc it really breaks up my drive/inspiration to draw xD But I'm learning to adjust! I set myself a list of goals to fulfil this year and my target is to complete at least 3 of them, any more will be a big bonus for myself and I've already completed 1! I'm super close on another and half way through 2 others~ I'm so thankful for all the support you guys have given me and have continued to push me to grow and allow me to be mainly freelance during this difficult time ;v; I really cannot thank you guys enough, I'll definitely be sorting out a giveaway on Twitter and letting you guys enter over here if you don't have one as a thank you <3 I did not expect to be where I am with having a queue so big and so many supportive people around me, so thank you from the bottom of my heart <3 <3 <3

A lot of you have expressed in comments and notes that you’re sad you missed out and I’m sorry for that but I had a very busy Christmas and needed to make sure I got them all finished before Christmas Eve <3

But!! They will be opening again if you’re interested in grabbing a few since not all of them are quite Christmas themed. My prices will be going up as it looks like I may be made redundant in my current job, so full time freelance will be necessary for a while until I get back on my feet- I hope you are ok with this, especially since my style/quality has improved over the last year ;v;)/ My workplace also didn't pay me for my overtime over Christmas, so that's also fun during a 5 week pay wait.. xD

Hello everyone!!

I ended up having to take a sudden mental health break as I left myself unchecked for a liiiiittle too long and had a breakdown. Thankfully I had people around me who were there literally right away and I'm so, so blessed to have them in my life. <3 I thought it may have just been because of Covid and being stuck around people far longer than I was used to (I would be alone in the house for at least half of the week to having 3 people full-time in the house) and it really made my passion for working just DROP. It was awful, so that was just slowly building in the back of my head. But a lot of it was also due to people being able to visit again and that was even heavier bc there was still no alone time at the end of the day, I don't drive, the area I live in doesn't cater to decent walks and ontop of that I'd hurt my knee so I couldn't walk much anyway xD I had a quarantine birthday, which is obviously absolutely depressing when you're the person who makes sure everyone has a great birthday ;v;)/ But yeah. It was plenty of points that were building but honestly? The ultimate problem was work, head office leaked that nobodies jobs were safe and with my lack of wanting to freelance really just made me crumble over time. I don't particularly get along with 2 of my managers due to their hate of the fact that I got moved to this location against their will (and mine.)

I just... I want to quit. I hate the anxiety that comes with it bc I spend 4 days anxious before one shift happens and I do NOT get paid enough for it. I want to go freelance until I find another job and actually enjoy creating content again and give myself the drive. I've given myself a goal to reach money-wise and mental health-wise by the end of August and if I meet them, then I'll hand in my notice. A lot of people think this isn't the best idea, but those around me who have understood my mental health have actually said it's a good action plan and have been in these situations themselves, too. Sometimes you just have to listen to your head and heart and do what's best. I've lived with this job for 4 years now and I know in my heart it's the right thing to do.

So I hope that you'll be happy to see more of me on here, I truly do love creating art and commissions for you guys, your characters are so beautiful, creative, fun and every time I get to draw them it feels like a total honour. This website and all of you have helped my art progress far more than I ever could have hoped for these past few years and I'll always be eternally grateful for everything from this site! So here's to the future and all the art that'll be made a reality soon enough. <3

I also wanted to apologise for just going off the clock again, I know I rant about my mental health a lot but really getting down to it and finding out that it's my job amplifying these problems really did help. Thanks for always being there and understanding, and I promise I'll always make sure commissions and art are completed before I leave. Hey everyone!

Sorry I've not been active at all over here, I've been dotting activity only on Twitter really, as I felt I needed to not only recover physically but also mentally after everything that went down. I lost a relative to COVID (who I didn't come into contact with) and have had other relatives in hospital, but thankfully made a recovery. Once it hit the North West, so many people I know and love were effected pretty badly and I absolutely believe England itself is not ready to move forward and slowly open again. I still work in my retail job, and I actually got paid for the time I had to take off. My partner and I were the only ones effected in my household, we stayed away from others for 16 days total, my sense of taste and smell are in and out even now but not nearly as bad as they were!

So, I'm feeling much better. I had a lot of time to just cool my head and focus on myself. Played a bunch of Warcraft and only really took on one commission during that time (and I only finished it yesterday since we both agreed I should take my time with it) I'm feeling much more up to drawing now and I'm more accustomed to having family home all the time haha, as part-time freelancer I'm usually alone in the house a lot so it was heavy having everyone around all the time but I've adjusted xD My introverted butt was panicking at first aksdgjlhdsgf

Anyway, I also wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who reached out and left comments and such, even people who came over to Twitter to ask, too. It really meant a lot, and made me feel less alone in my head, they were nice reminders that I'm more than just someone who posts a picture or 2 online. So thank you. From the bottom of my heart. <3

Hey there!

I know I’ve received a few comments and notes on here inquiring about commissions/YCH but I wanted to clear the air. My partner and I unfortunately got COVID, despite our efforts in keeping everything clean and using all kinds of sanitisers and anti-bacterial things, it was given to my partner during his train ride home (annoyingly enough it was his last train ride before prepping to be working from home...) this was a Friday, Saturday he showed symptoms that he was getting more sick, since he was on the back end of a cold already, and by Sunday he was bad. I fortunately didn’t have work on that Sunday as by the night I began feeling bad and by Monday we both had the symptoms and were a bit worse for wear.

We’ve isolated completely, just played games to keep ourselves up and made sure to stay well away from family. I’m still feeling groggy mainly because of the pain from the dry cough and lack of air from breathlessness, but nothing as bad as I was in the earlier days.

My manager has been saying awful things about staff that have HAD to self isolate because I work in a pharmaceutical company, but I’d much rather lose my job than potentially kill someone’s grandparents, parents, babies. So my job is up in the air right now, since I was advised to stay in for 14 full days and my manager is set on me only staying in for 7 despite living in a full household >_> so I really need to take on some commissions and YCH to make sure I’m all good.

The way the world is handling this is absolutely awful, and the way a lot of people are just so uncaring is even worse. Please stay safe, I know we were as safe as possible and still got it, but you may have better luck, just keep trying. Stay home if you can, be clean, anything to help those who would suffer more than maybe you would. It’s so easy to pass it on to an older person or a baby who won’t live to see their loved ones without a window between them before the virus takes them away.

I spoke with the NHS and my doctor, it was a confirmed case but we did not need to be hospitalised since we were capable of taking care of ourselves! I would not want to take up a bed of someone who needs it far more than us.

I’ve less work hours this month, which means more time but certainly less money to pay bills </3

I have a small announcement sometime soonish about my comic, but for the meantime, read below if you wanna' be a part of my comic, "Fallen Star"!

Fallen Star is a story about a Kitsune of the stars falling to earth and losing her memory. She has to learn about an entire world, and she does so by travelling, fighting, protecting, meeting friends and so much more! It was really nice knowing that people had a genuine concern and cared enough to speak to me or just drop a note, literally anything. I got hit by more than one thing at once when I was going through procedures and I was in a lot of pain for a long while whilst I was recovering. Being hit by the second wave wasn't nice and it was a little worrying but I'm feeling better now! I've been told it may happen again in the future but hopefully not nearly as bad.

The second thing I was hit with is something I've suffered with all of my life and actually something I don't mind talking about, this thing is what I didn't need procedures for but it hit after I'd been in hospital and during recovery. Since I was born I've had terrible issues with my ears, I've been into operations a few times and had doctors over from America to deal with them and to try everything to make it so I didn't fall deaf - Though I don't have to have operations any more, it's something I have to go to the doctors about, especially if I get a cold as it leads to an infection every single time.

Unfortunatly the infection started when we thought it was just doing it's normal tinnitus thing (I get it often, mainly when there's a climate change and this time I'd gone over seas to Portugal) and that I may have gotten water in my ear from the pool (which I was wrong about! I'm not allowed any water or liquids in my ear as I may go deaf so we took loads of precautions with products to ensure I didn't get water in them on holiday) and over the course of that week I grew slowly more deaf mainly on the right side. Because it wasn't hurting we assumed it was just a build up that would clear out like it has in the past and let it be knowing the doctors wouldn't be able to do anything anyway.

Fast forward a week and I'm completely deaf in my right ear at the time I'm going through my procedures and I'm getting more deaf in my left, that's when the pain hit and I was completely losing my hearing.

We had to go through a number of things in an attempt to get it back including things that the doctors in the past said not to do or else I'd "go deaf" but realizing that's already what was happening we just did it anyway and thankfully over the course of the time away it's come back and I can hear just like I used to be able to! (which ofc isn't amazing but it's better than being deaf!)

So despite all of the constant pain and just wanting to curl up and cry whilst getting barely any sleep for the past month or so I AM FINALLY BACK AND READY TO WORK. I finished a commission today already and I'm just honestly glad to get back to things and just push away all of the bad stuff. I'm going to be honest and say that I probably won't ever say what my procedures were all about as they are personal and the thought of it upsets me quite a lot as it's quite dark and probably most peoples nightmares;;

OH AND MY PLANE ALMOST CRASHED WHEN WE WERE COMING BACK FROM THE HOLIDAY SO THAT WAS WONDERFUL. Traumatized for a week :V Definitely not something I'd wish on anybody, it was like something out of a movie where everybody claps the pilot because we almost died. WHAT IS LIFE
The only thing I could do is just linger around on games and sketch when I wasn't in too much pain, I was afk most of the time feeling sorry for myself xD But we're back babyyyy

ANYWAY, that's my lil update, I don't think most people will read but if anyone wanted to be nosey on where I was and I'm just really sorry to the commissioners who have been waiting, you really are amazing and I love you guys so much. <3

Recently I've had family in hospital and I've had a lot to sort out and deal with, as well as prepare for an upcoming holiday so I'm sorry for things being slow :) If there's any major problems then I would not hesitate to contact you. I am still within my time frame given so don't worry at all! <3
