Status Update 10/22
Posted 5 years agoHope everyone's been hanging in there! 2020's been a strange one for sure! I feel like my acclimation back to city life has been taking longer than usual. I'm thinking its the whole social distancing thing that's slowing me down. As for art, I feel like I'm getting back on track and will reopen for commissions again soon. Definitely going to include my lineless option, since I'm really enjoying painting in that style. Hopefully I can get some examples and pricing ready to go in the next week or so! I may try to use this as a way to supplement my currently very minimal income at the moment.
Back in Good Ol' NYC
Posted 5 years agoWell, I'm somewhat settled back in with my folks after a crazy summer at Rocky Mountain National Park! I had a blast out there, despite the COVID mess we had to deal with from day to day. Had my share of first time experiences (some good, some bad) and definitely learned toup my assertiveness and gain more self-confidence.
Now that I'm back, I'm definitely going to try and warm my art skills back up. It's been a while since I touched a tablet! Might attempt to stream and take some quick n' cheap warm up commissions when the time comes.
Until then, stay safe, wash your hands, wear a mask, and cover your nose and mouth if you have to cough/sneeze!

Hitting the road tomorrow!
Posted 5 years agoHey all! I'm basically all packed and will be starting my drive out to CO tomorrow morning! Definitely excited to be heading out (finally) to my NPS summer job. Packed a bunch of MRE-type of foods just in case I can't find places to eat. Definitely will make sure I keep my hands clean and socially distance, even if the places I'm driving through aren't doing it. Anyway, my extended radio silence period will be starting from tomorrow morning.
Stay safe!

Commissions Closed, Activity Level Decrease
Posted 5 years agoAlrighty! I'm going to be headed out to my summer job site somewhere out west in a National Park next week (Hint: it's got mountains). This means that I most likely will not be able to work on giant art projects and possibly have little to no internet access. It's definitely strange times to have to travel across the country. The park itself is not open, like many others, and I sadly it will be my job to maintain the closure for however long it lasts. Still, I'm excited that I'm turning a new page over in my career choices and that I feel real close to discovering my ultimate calling. :)
Stay safe out there! Social distance responsibly, wash your hands, and wear a mask! \o/

The Art Block is Real!
Posted 5 years agoUgh... The past few days I've wanted to draw, but then I either lose the drive or just can't think of something to draw. :(
Its coming and going in waves, so hopefully I'll be able to punch through it again soon.

Bunneh Update 4/5/20
Posted 5 years agoSo, things have been pretty quiet here in my part of NYC. I've been minimizing my time outside and have been trying to work on drawing some more. In other news, my summer job over in Rocky Mountain has been delayed from the start of May to near the end of May. Sounded like the possibility of a seasonal extension is slim. :(
Just to put it out there, I am open for commissions! I know that many of you may be under financial strain, so I'm considering opening up some pay what you want options for busts. I'm hoping to try out the new painted style out a bit more. If you're interested in one, send me a note!
Stay safe out there!

Life Update
Posted 5 years agoThings are finally starting to calm down a bit in terms of paperwork deadlines and stuff. Hopefully I'll be able to stream more regularly, maybe try and do some omre PWYW sketch streams.
Status Report
Posted 6 years agoHey everyone, this past week has been a hectic one for me. I got a lot of background investigation paperwork I need to focus on completing for my job starting in May. Clunky web design and kind of vague instructions don't help as well... As for work, I'm going to be spending a summer in the Rockies!
I'll try to finish up my YCH work by the end of next week when things (hopefully) settle down a bit.
Thanks, everyone!

Thanks for all the favorites!
Posted 6 years agoJust wanted to say thanks to everyone that's watched me and/or favorited my most recent piece! I felt it took longer than I initially planned, but in the end I was very satisfied with the results. :)
I'm currently working on another piece that I may use as a guide for commissions. Work kind of gave me the super short end of the stick and I need to find an alternate means of earning some pocket money. Stay tuned for that in the coming weeks. I'll probably will make a journal posting and a image post about it!
Thanks for your support, and keep being you!

Still Alive
Posted 6 years agoHey all, my training down in NC has been quite busy. I'm almost through it with less than a month to go! I'm hoping I can get back to doing art regularly after I drive back home around early/mid December.
Post AnthroCon Thoughts N' Stuff
Posted 6 years agoWell, I got home safe and sound from Anthrocon. Being my first furry convention (have been to 2 comic conventions before), I didn't really know what to expect. I was glad that I was offered a room space with
theredghost and company. It was great to meet them in person and be introduced to the other roommates.
I was amazed with how much there was to see and do at the con! The dealer's area and the small set of artist tables were amazing. I didn't check out the art show area since there wasn't anything I wanted to see off the top of my head there. Met Tom Fischbach and bought a few things, probably walked by a bunch of famous suits and people (I walked by Telephone a few times and didn't even realize it until later). Attended a bunch of panels, drew, bought a T-shirt, tail, and other stuff. Met up with a bunch of friends from Discord servers, slowly worked up the confidence to approach suiters, and hung out with new friends. The last night, I was convinced to go check out the dance party and was wondering why I didn't check them out earlier!
Overall I had a great experience despite having my camera die right off the bus, and the afternoon thunderstorms. Everyone there was friendly, awesome, and really helped me break out of my shell a bit by the last night. I'll definitely go to this one again, assuming work schedules work out. :)

Anthrocon 2019!
Posted 6 years agoI decided that I probably should give a furry con a try, especially when there's one within 8 hours of bus time!
This'll be my first furry con, probs won't have much in the way to identify me. Might be wearing a black and white bunny tail. Probs going to be wearing a shirt with Teal'c's face on it at one point. Definitely will be bringing along my Canon 60D!
I'll be arriving on Thursday, leaving early on Monday. Might bring some watercolor stuff to mess around with during my time there, if I get the chance.
Feel free to say hi or something! :D

New Life Achievement Get!
Posted 6 years agoI have fulfilled a childhood dream of mine. Today I passed my checkride for a helicopter private pilot license! \o/
Next up, trying to get that commercial rating!

Life Update
Posted 6 years agoSo, I'm starting a job with an EMS company, now that I got my EMT-B cert in hand. At this point in time, I am not certain of what my schedule will look. There may be some long periods where I disappear.
BSI, Scene Safety
Posted 7 years agoI passed the NY State practical skills exam for my NY EMT-B cert! It was a crazy 4 weeks, but now my schedule has freed up a good amount! Net up is the written exam on 2/21. From my understanding, that one should be a lot easier than my final exam.
The rest of this week is going to be devoted to resting up and winding down from this intense class. Might try to resume streaming and working on arts once my brain has calmed down.
Remember, BSI and scene safety for everything!

EMT Classes in Full Swing!
Posted 7 years agoHey all! Art is going to be on hold for the next 4 weeks or so as I knock out an accelerated EMT course.
Back In the Big City
Posted 7 years agoWell, I've been back in NYC for the past month! XD
Anyway, I'm back in the the big city for the winter again contemplating life decisions and whatnot. Currently in between jobs, waiting for paperwork to be sorted out, trying to knock out my helicopter private pilot rating, and getting ready for an accelerated EMT course.
In between all of this, I've decided to try and work on refining my style and abilities as an artist. Going to primarily focus on digital art, but I'm also debating about going back to traditional mediums again. I really like the look and feel of those pieces.
I might open up some random freebs, depending on how things are looking down the road.

On the Road Again!
Posted 7 years agoHi everyone!
My summer down in Southwestern Utah has come to an end! I had a lot of fun working in one of the busier National Parks down there. :) Currently I'm making my way back to NYC, and currently stopped in Denver at a friend's place. Hopefully I'll be able to make some art and post it during my travels, if the 10 hours per day driving objective doesn't destroy me.
Anyway, glad to be back, and hopefully I can get back to working on my artistic abilities again!

Low Activity Period
Posted 7 years agoHey all! I'm going to heading off to UT again for work! Once again, I'm going to be out in a place with pretty much no internet, and bad phone service. I'll post something once in a while, if I can.
Situation Report
Posted 7 years agoSo, these past couple of weeks (and the next) are going to be busy for me between work and helicopter lessons. I'll also be heading out West for work with the NPS early in April as well, so things are going to be slow art wise.

Going to warm up by messing with some brushes, then work on some personal projects, and use freebs to test stuff and practice as I feel.
