I’ve been thinking of how little intrinsic motivation I have with art nowadays,, and I’ve thought about what I want to push for now:
More emblematic, abstracted, surreal, muted, painterly, subtle, striking. I’ve grown tired of more standard illustration.
If anything, detailed anatomy is still on the table too. Close ups of feet, wings, head, scales, eyes, etc.

Posted a year agoWant to get Monster-fied?!? Send me your character or some idea for a creature, and I'll turn it into a crazy monster for you or just draw the cool creature idea that you have! Just an announcement to say that I will be opening up a time window to secure small 1-3 hour commissions, of a period starting Thursday August 8 at 11pm EST and closing Saturday August 10 at 11pm EST. The cost will be $36 USD/hour. I will be putting up a special Ko-Fi commission sheet and form for ease of use before then. I will be focusing on drawing and painting-like styles.
Once the intake session is closed and payments are made, I will complete all of the works in a batch and won’t open again until they are complete!

I've been pushing hard to busk my trade the past two weeks, and it has come to fruition. I've got another contract with Renegade Game Studios, the same company that I made art for with their board game "The Search For Lost Species", for a big project (sadly NDA still but trust me that it's fun)!!
I will be artistically indisposed until October 27. I'll be around, but I will have to delay commissions until after that date. I have a LOT to work on!!

I hope that you are faring well in this chaotic hellhole that we call nowadays. I just wanted to write that I'm still picking away at Draikkonen's major commission when I have the time and energy. I just clocked 91 hours over the last two weeks at my full-time job at the reptile shop, and this week won't be any less busy. I'm using my last day off before next Friday to kick back and play games.
I still stream art on Picarto. tv and games on Twitch, though I'm still exceedingly inconsistent. I hope to see you all there, and I look forward to giving you more art to admire!

Posted 4 years agoA quote that has helped me. I haven't enjoyed doing art for years now. This helped me to understand that I have stifled my expression in order to 'impress'. I need to do more stuff to express, and maybe I will enjoy it more.

What Do You Love Seeing From Me The Most?
Posted 4 years agoGive me your feedback, any feedback! Do you want more hyperrealistic dinosaurs, more dragons, more hyperrealistic dragons, more.... anything? The one thing I am good at is being consistently inconsistent, so that is sadly one thing I have not been able to fix :C. Posted 5 years agoOkay, I've had two people offer money to teach them anatomy. I have never done a class in my life. Would any of you like something like that? If not anatomy, then what? Would you like a multi-week course, or smaller one-off lessons in different things?

I'M ALIVE!!!!
IT'S TRUE, I am back in session! It has been an entire year, and I have a lot to apologize for.
I have such a hard time keeping up with everything, and it is now clear that I have a serious executive function disorder of some sort. I don't have the ability to get diagnosed for anything at this point in time, but I sure as hell wish that I could. Maintaining my career is so damned hard trying to work with a brain that just...doesn't...cooperate :C.
As such, I FULLY divulge the caveat that if you are to become acquainted with me, expect the following:
- Drops off of the planet for potentially a week at a time
- Inconsistency in work schedule
- Potentially long (or short) completion time
- Quality work
- Hyperfocus at (random) times
- Very amenable personality, though often quiet, but excitable and reasonable
Please, please understand that I try to do my best, and fall flat a lot in the execution. I am sorry for any hurt feelings, and hope that this new start may help people come to grips with the train wreck that I am. Thanks for your faith in me!

The Path of Grey
Posted 7 years agoI've noticed that I've been really getting back to what I truly enjoy doing, which is graphite work. I know that that isn't a medium people usually like, since it isn't flashy or... well, color. If this were a game of cards, color cheats horribly, and yet they win every time.
Pencil isn't all that fun to look at, unless it is truly a masterpiece for most folks. Part of me is scolding me not for using color, but that just isn't who I am right now. My eyes hurt with color, but more importantly, my soul resonates when I bring the pencil to paper. <3
It may not bring me much popularity to do stupid little drawings in black and white, but I kind of don't care, and just want to draw. I'll think about the color later. XP Take that as you will, from a clinically depressed, introverted artist who loves creatures dead or alive XD.
