I think most of you have seen the new ruling.

Basically, FA is going to ban Pokemon/Digmon/mythical creatures in NSFW situations if they have "child-like proportions" even though they're adults. Firstly, this is a very vague and subjective definition. Your character got a short torso and looks toony and chibi? Nope, not acceptable! The funny thing is, that people have reported their own submissions to see what the moderator will say. Some have said "okay that looks fine" while another said "no they look too child-like, it will be removed".

The entire furry fandom is fundamentally based around cutsey critters, you are going to have styles that look toony... just because a character is short in stature, or has a short torso, or big eyes, whatever... does not mean they're a child nor are intended to look like one. And then there's the question of what constitutes a sexual, NSFW situation... does tickling a Pikachu on a couch playfully fall under that umbrella for removal? What about my friend's Pikachu, who's tickling my Mewmander in a faire-type situation in wooden stocks? The artist who did that has a particular chibi style, is that "too child-like" and should be removed? I mean think about, some of the pics you see, regardless of good intention or if they're wholesome, might be lumped in the same category as cub porn.

So much vagueness that not even their team can make heads and tails of it, you've got conflicting information with one of the FA team saying they don't have a list, another saying "well Cubone and Riolu look too much like children". Which one is it?? The artists with that artstyle are forced to change it, even though the characters in the situation are adults. Personally, for the most part, tickling is platonic for me. It makes people laugh, it's a good bonding exercise with friends and family alike. It doesn't always have to be sexual in nature. Yes, people can apply it to NSFW situations but you won't see it here. So I am wondering whether these new changes will affect my gallery and what I post in it, because there's a few images that have the distinct chibi artstyle.

Will the ruling say you can't tickle Pokemon at all, regardless of situation or circumstance? Context is really important, though it is also a very subjective thing so depending on who reviews it, it might be okay or it might something that breaks the rules. I am hoping they amend it to make more sense, or remove it entirely. The biggest irony of all is that TICKLE is actually a Pokemon move... if I commission that for example, will that be removed because the Pokemon in question getting it was a Riolu? Questions like that need a lot more clarity moving on, because I do hope we get that.

What are they?

Do they like the same food as your RL self does? Do they have the same occupation? Same ticklish spots? Perhaps their likes and hates are the same?

For me, my Mewmander and I both share the same love for animals, vanilla coke and a big interest in science. Though my Mewmander, of course, is far more ticklish, we still both share the same "big three" spots. And we pretty much share the same sense of humour. Thankfully though, I am not as much of a glutton as my Mewmander is, even though I would love to make short work of a big bowl of takoyaki!

Good news.

The surgery went well and it was stage 1a cancer. She still might need chemo as a precautionary measure to prevent further growths, but so far she's in good spirits. It'll be some weeks of recovery yet.

A couple of months ago, my mum was diagnosed with cancer. The oncologist said they've caught it early, but they won't be entirely sure what stage it is until they surgically remove the organ in question or whether they have to check the lymph nodes too. The CT scan didn't seem to show any metastasis, so there is hope that the surgery is all she needs. That is tomorrow, and while she'll be well taken care of, I am still terrified. I've been putting on a brave face, trying to pretend that things are normal - showing massive outbursts of emotion is not something I typically do as I tend to keep things to myself. I had quite a bit of time to absorb things, to think about things, to internally study the hundred different potential scenarios that may play out, both good and bad. My mum's very stubborn in that she said not to worry too much and live your life as normal. And of course, I've been trying to do that... but at the back of my mind, that pessimistic feeling's gonna be there. And as this day went on, that feeling was harder to contain. What makes it even more harder is that there's no prognosis as of yet, because usually they give the patient that after surgery.

With that said, there is a possibility that I may be largely inactive for several weeks as I will be taking care of my mum as she may need chemo and/or radiotherapy as well as recovering from the surgery. So if you see me unresponsive or offline for long periods of time, this is the reason why. My mind's in a maelstrom right now, but I am concentrating on the fact that the surgery is generally very successful for cases like this. The important thing is that my mum is in good spirits about it, though she does use the "whatever will happen, will happen" mantra quite a bit. Whatever happens, I gotta stay strong.

Please take care of yourselves and cherish every moment you have with your loved ones.

I'm in a bit of a brain-freeze position at the moment, my creative juices aren't flowing right now so I thought hey, why not have people pool some suggestions together and draw it out of a hat? Sounds fun, doesn't it?

A few ground rules to follow:
