NaNoWriMo Part 3
Posted 10 years agoAlright everyone I just uploaded the last chapter of my NaNoWriMo pony story so you won't have to see that little icon in your submissions anymore LOL. It was a really fun project and I'm glad I was able to do it. It was a great to work on. Thanks to everyone who is reading it and to who wants to read it. Take care everyone.
NaNoWriMo Part 2
Posted 10 years agoSo...I did it...I finished NaNoWriMo. In truth I finished writing my story quick an dirty sometime around the 11th of November I was still 7,000 words shy, but then I hurt my back real bad at work so I was laid up for a bit. I've recently started revising my chapters so they flowed better, I managed to fill some plot holes in, add some character development so just today my word count reached 50,088 and still going since I have several more chapters to revise. I will be posting the first chapter around December 1st on here, Inkbunny, and Fanfiction. I'm very proud of myself ^.^

Posted 10 years agoSoooo, now that Summer is officially over in California and winter is on the rise. It's the time when Food Trucks aren't needed as much and I've noticed a decline in the hours I've been working, which is good. After several weeks of 50 to 60 hour weeks...double after doubles, I'm getting a break. The first thing I really want to tackle is NaNoWriMo.
I've only ever been able to accomplish it once in the form of a book of short stories. This year I want to write a linear story line from start to finish. I figured if I wrote 2000 words a day I should get finished early enough to do some polishing on the story so that I can post it on December 1st, if I can keep up with it. So yesterday I outlined the whole story and I felt pretty good about it, but still a little shaky. I've not been writing much lately so I'm scared I'll lose interest. Well today my resolve has been tempered in the fires of my passion. I managed to write the first two chapters at a whopping 4,582 words. That puts me well ahead of the game. Tomorrow I'll attempt to do another chapter, or two if I feel like it. I really want to get out of this writer's block funk I've been under.
Sorry to gush, I'm not usually proud of myself, but I did good work LOL. *Eats a fox biscuit*

Posted 10 years agoI finally got a job, a good solid job that takes into consideration that I still want to be a big part of my family's day to day. It's not a glamorous job nor is it a well paying job, but at least it has a good bit of fun history behind it.
It's a food truck that got it's start on Shark Tank, that show that comes on TV. It's called Cousins Fresh Maine Lobster. That's right, you heard me. It's a Food Truck that sells Lobster. It was picked up by Barbra from Shark Tank. The gimmick, if you can call it that, is every morning a friend of the founders family catches the lobsters and sends it out same day mail to the Cousins in California. The same goes for their Bread products. So they are authentic Maine products shipped across the USA, where they're served to the masses. It was founded in LA in 2012 and in the first 2 years they made over 3 million dollars. That was from one truck. Now they are franchising out across the USA in different parts of the country. One of my favorite parts about this job is, even though they made the 3 million dollars in the first couple years, they didn't just pocket it. They founded a charity in conjunction with Big Brothers and Big Sisters, which is a charity I care a great deal about. I use to give back to the community more, before financial troubles and my little girl was born. I predict that by the end of the year Jailbird will be back on her feet and we'll be doing better financially. Jailbird will still have to take commissions for rent, as I said the pay for my job isn't that stellar and I'm not up for a pay raise until after 3 months. I want to honest about that upfront.
So again, thank you for being so wonderful during all of this. We have a tentative plan in place for getting everything back on track. First catch up on immediate bills, second get through a month with having all the bills paid so we can stockpile a little money. Third we will start getting refunds out to everyone that need them. All the while Jailbird will be working every moment that she can with the exception that she might take one day off a week to spend with me. Times like this we still have to come together to help keep our relationship strong.

Posted 10 years agoStress has been really high lately. I was kinda floundering in no man's land because I got this job with the Food Truck. They hired me in March for it and I was waiting for the manufacturer to deliver it from Phoenix.
I was suppose to start in the first 2 weeks of April for training and the first actual event day was the 18th of April. Bam, nothing came of it. The owner called me and told me there was an error at the facility where they were manufacturing the truck that it should be done by the end of April. Here it is the 6th and I still have not heard anything.
Well this morning I said Fuck it, I'm tired of waiting and I put it half a dozen resumes. I got called like 20 minuets later and went for a job interview...They called me back a few hours ago and asked if I could start tomorrow. SOOOO I finally have a job, a real job, one that I'll be working on. In a month things should be getting better.

Posted 10 years agoSo I just watched the new Star Wars Force Awakens Trailer...and I cried. It was so beautiful. I've not been this excited about anything, I mean it has to be awesome to move me to tears...check it out all of you. Star Wars is back...it carries the Lucasfilm logo...and you can't even see the Mouse ears behind it's Awesomeness....and not one ounce of Camera Flare...thank you Disney and JJ Abrams for giving this to me.

So Updates...
Posted 10 years agoThis morning...I passed my drivers test and am now officially licensed to drive in California. YAY! And I just received a phone call of importance...I got a job. That's right I'm now employed. Work won't start until after April 15th and I am so stoked because I've been a big believer in this job before it was even a job, but now we're in full swing YAY! My wife is still the primary bread winner right now, so she's going to be working to pay all the bills, but as soon as the 15th rolls around we will earn money as a team again. YEAH.
Birthday Woes
Posted 10 years agoUsually around my birthday a bunch of little bad things happen so that it seems like an avalanche of shit has hit the fan by the 23rd. It's been that way since I was a kid. Anything from speeding tickets to loved ones losing their job, to moving across country only to find out that you didn't estimate the weight of your belongings correctly so it cost you a butt load extra.
This year has been no different. Started with being late on the rent. My necessary doctors appointment being bumped from the 4th to the 20th without prior knowledge so I ran out of my blood pressure medicine. Went to one of those Walk in Clinics only to find out that they don't accept my insurance as of 3 weeks ago so I had to pay. I didn't get one of the jobs I'd been waiting for. I was going to renew my Driver's license, only to find out that I have to have my birth certificate to do it. Not really a problem excepts I was born overseas while my dad was in the military so I have to send a request to get a new one and hope I have enough information to get it. Plus it'll end up costing a hundred bucks, so that I can go and spend a another 38 to get my license.
And now for the icing on the cake. I'm sick...I never get sick. I never get colds. I take vitamins and stay away from trouble areas to ensure that I don't get sick. So now I have a chest and sinus cold. Alright whatever except I have another interview on the 24th so hopefully I'm better by then, and hopefully the curse of my birthday doesn't ruin that as well.
Sorry for the bitch fest y'all. I just feel like butts and I didn't sleep well at all.

Azura the Bounty Hunter is coming along great. I have episodes 1 thru 10 done, I'm working on the three part finale of season 1 right now. After that I will get it professionally edited for upload. I'm really excited about it, I've put a lot of heart into this one and my wife
jailbird loves how they're coming out. Here are the two main characters.

Job Hunting
Posted 10 years agoAlright it's time for an update I suppose. So I started looking for a job last month, I can't remember what date because my brain is fucking mush right now. But I have applied for upwards to 45 jobs. 17 of which were done last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 4 more today and I will start again fresh on Monday.
If I've not found a decent job by March 1st, I will take two to three minimum wage jobs, depending on the hours. I won't be able to spend a lot of time with my family, but at least JB won't have to take as many commissions anymore.
For those of you that want refunds, please be patient all will be taken care of in due time.
For those of you waiting for their picture, JB is working on them. She suffers from a perfection issue that leads to. "Just one more thing" syndrome. It effects a lot of artists. Your picture will be done in due time. I will also try to remind her to send out images as they get done, because sometimes she forgets and launches into the next one without sending it out. If you are waiting for corrections, send me the correction you want made and a link to the picture for reference. I'll be able to help until March 1st after that I won't be much help as I will be busy.
So there we go, you have been Updated and just like Itunes I will prompt you with an update in the next 36 hours or so. LOL

A minute ago there was a knock at the door and two police officers standing there. They inform us that they are responding to a 911 call from out house. I then...redfaced I might add, have to explain to the cops that Jamie called them on accident. Either that or she really wanted to go see her Nana and was telling on us because we won't take her there LOL. So...a good lesson for those who are new to parenting...who are parents...and who are thinking of becoming parents.

Job searching is going so-so...I'm wore out...I'm gonna take the weekend off since Restaurants don't usually hire on weekends nor are they too happy if you come fumbling in for an application or to give them a resume while they're working hard to get ready for a busy Friday night and weekend.

Job Search!
Posted 10 years agoSo I've been job hunting since the beginning of the month. I have my resume up on a ton of different sites. I've gotten some offers. Most of them bogus insurance sale associate offers. I have had a few other offers, but the pay grade was well below my experience level.
Today I have an interview so hopefully that goes well. If it doesn't I'm going to take a break from job searching until the end of the month. One of the people I talked to about a job reminded me that Restaurants are really slow in January because it's right after the holidays, most of them start hiring again in February for Valentines Day. I know that once I get hired keeping the job won't be a problem. Especially with my work history and impeccable work ethics.
JB and I are still struggling to get everything on track money wise. I just want to keep everyone up to date on the fact that we are both trying and I am getting offers, just not for a price that would benefit my family. Thank you all for your patience and understanding. Wish me luck.

Posted 11 years agoHey I don't usually plug my own stuff because I just don't like to do it, but I worked on an all original story and am inviting you to read it. It involves some pretty adult themes and it may not be for everyone, but it was such a labor of love to write it.
I'll post a brief description:
This is a character that my wife jailbird came up with a long time ago and never really did anything with. I was so smitten with her, that I just had to have her for my own. So as a beautiful gesture she gave me Stormy and her whole family, so that I could write a story about her.
She's a 40 year old Shetland pony whose a burned out musician. Married her professional football playing husband young, got pregnant with twins, and abandoned her career to be a mother.
One morning she woke up and realized that she didn't like who she had become. Drinking too much, smoking too much weed to cope with her mediocre life. Not that she doesn't love her husband and kids. She just doesn't like who she is anymore. In a desperate attempt to recapture herself, she divorces her husband a moves into a crappy house to start all over again, but she realizes too late, that it's not all as easy as that.
I will be Posting a 13 Chapter story about her journey back to normalcy and all the bumps she encounters.

Surgery and Job Hunting
Posted 11 years agoFor those of you that know JB, then this won't be a surprise to you. I'll be calling around tomorrow to see if anyone accepts my insurance. Once I find a Doctor I will be making an appointment to get some surgery done. Then after a few days recovery I'll be going out to get a job to help out with things around the house. It shouldn't take me too long to find a job since my Resume is amazing and I have the skills to do it. Things will be rough for a little bit, even after I find a job, but by next month things should be on the up and up. Just a silly little update so you all know what's going on. Love you guys.

Posted 11 years agoMerry Christmas to all you beautiful furries. I hope you've all been good this year, so Santa can slip down your chimney and give you something good. For those of you who were naught can look forward to a sexy Reindeer train being put on you. Seriously though! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and have a happy and safe New Year.
