I'd draw something but I don't have much time on my paws nowadays :P especially on weekdays.

In my country, there's this compulsory national service, so I'll be off for a while :3 I'm enlisting tomorrow, just letting you guys know.

Just a quick review of my past year. It's fun to also read last last year's and the year before's and see how far I've come :P

Let's see... last year I've been a bit less active in art, I admit, but I did post somewhat regularly :P It was my last year of school though, naturally I'd be busy! I'm still glad I have been able to find time to work on art, really, as well as on music. I guess my experiments out of my usual feral cartoony style and into more interesting anthro stuff has been successful, and I really hope I can continue to improve overall as an artist.

This year has been a bit special though, managed to get out of my little shell and meet some awesome furs :3 I'm just hoping that this year I will be able to do it more! I really wish I had done this earlier though.

Seriously though, I really do love the furry community, the reason why I'm hooked here for the past 3 years :P All of you guys are awesome!


My wishes for this year: Just.. survive ._. maybe learn a few more useful skills, make new friends, but mostly, I just want to finish this (and next) year quickly enough, so I can head on with life. You'll see why, in a while.

What are ya up to, wherever you are from the world? :3

Since it's a school break now for me, I've been thinking about the possibility of opening commissions. Never done it before (Heh, never even bought commissions before :P) I've thought about doing a quick test, to test the waters on how this would be like.

So I've thought about drawing maybe a few requests. Probably 2 slots open, perhaps 3 if I have the time. Since I'm expecting to get flooded by comments, I'll ask this question. What's the best use of bacon? I'll try to pick the funniest answer. Could be anything, like wristwatch, hat, or steering wheel covers, the sillier the better.
I'll draw some half-body art that looks a bit like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10642187/ I'm also only comfortable drawing canines or canine-like critters, so if it's some other character like sergals or dragons then I don't think I'm confident enough to draw them :c General furry art btw, I don't want any adult/fetishy/out of the ordinary stuff.
This is not a raffle btw, I don't want to get so flooded, so please don't promote this journal :P (gonna leave this journal overnight and check it tomorrow morning) If you comment here, I assume you're fine with it and you want me to draw your character :3


Though there's other things I want to ask. If I were to open commissions, how much would you be willing to pay? How much do you think my art is worth? Maybe stuff like the example I put up there (I'd consider that simple bust, since it's pretty messily sketched and fast), or full body drawings, or more cartoony, or icons.

Also I don't really understand payment systems. Would it be better for you to pay full price upfront or half first, then half later? Cause if it's the half-body one, I can do that pretty fast, depending on motivation. And how would you pay? Paypal or something? If anyone can give good advice on this it'll be awesome :3

I also believe I'll have to set some terms and conditions (aahhhh.. kind of boring :3) but that's not really much of an issue.

Wanted to leave a quick end of year/beginning of year journal, I know this is a bit late.

2012 was, once again, a fun year. You guys were awesome, and are the number 1 reason why I still continue to draw up to now, for the last two years! I love you guys for being so great.

My watchers have also more than doubled since last year, and yep, I think I've become a lot more consistent in drawing cute feral foxes. That was one of my wishes last year :P I know I'm posting a lot of other stuff, but while I constantly expand what I draw, that cutesy style is what I always love to draw.

My wishes this year: Balance art, music, and my ever growing schoolwork, go out with friends more, and expand what I can draw in art!

So now, happy new year to all, and hope you guys have a great year ahead!

Anyway, it's been 2 years since I've been here on FA. I definitely say, if it weren't for all you guys supporting, I would never have gotten here. And wow, my art's evolved a lot since, especially in the past year!

Can't believe I've managed to achieve this, a mere (nearly) 2 years ago when I first made this account here, I never thought I'd be like this.
Met so many awesome people here, talked to some of you, it's fun to be here!

And of course, thanks so much for all of you for your support! I think I wouldn't even have continued to draw if it weren't for you guys constantly making me look forward to posting new art; I really love seeing your comments!

Still awesome, from animating (and toiling about) fox sketches in flash, to all the random fox drawings, to the (more recent) experiments in anthro art.. I've seriously gone a long way from the time I first set paw in FA.

Life's getting busy lately.. the yearly rant on school exams! :3

Exams are like a brick wall I'm heading towards, so I gotta spend a bit of time studying for it. It's like, I actually procrastinate from studying by doing art or music @_@ You can probably expect a bit more art after my exams end, but there's not much time left now. (P.S. I post lots of procrastination sketches on my tumblr)

I dunno, felt I needed a journal to give a quick update since I rarely post journals anyway.

If you've been following our music lately, you'd know that and I have made a few collabs lately. Both of us like almost the same genres of music, despite our styles contrasting greatly. He's more of the straight to the point, strong and simple type, I'm more of the dense and very wide type when it comes to synthesizers.

No, it wasn't because I've accidentally hit a baseball into someone's house. I think I booted up windows too hard with my boots.

In all seriousness:
Windows just doesn't boot past the animation, it loops on forever. So I believe it's because of some system files being corrupt preventing it from booting. I had to force-power off the laptop cause it was extremely slow. The screen doesn't work either, probably something to do with the display driver, but I'm currently hooking it to an external monitor for now.

I'm currently booted up on Ubuntu via my thumbdrive, trying to backup my files before I reinstall windows. Man, Ubuntu is fast. My wacom tablet even works with it out of the box! I wish I could continue with this OS but I'm super dependent on many windows programs. (Sure, I love GIMP, but I prefer inking with SAI, Flash, and making music with FL studio.)

After that comes the dreaded part of reinstalling windows. :/
Man, this happens just a few days before my exams starts. XD

Technical help is quite welcome, like suggestions on how to get windows starting again. :3
What's your worst computer crash? Did you have to lose all your data somehow?

EDIT: My computer has been fixed anyway. :3 Changed the motherboard, all is well!

Totally boring title is boring.

Wellllll... I've been thinking of trying out this, I've never done anything like it before.

I'll be opening 3 request slots. I've never drawn art requested by others before, this would be a nice try, I'm just testing the waters.

Since I believe that people will go "FREE ART OMG MUST TAKEZ", I'll give this a catch. You'll give the idea on what to draw, whether a pun, joke or randomness. I'll leave this open for a few hours and pick 3 (maybe more if I am free) of them that I like. I won't draw anything sexual.

I will draw it in my usual style, similar to the majority of the things you see in my gallery. Actually, I post the full res images onto FA, the images ARE really that small.

Oh, and I will definitely prefer drawing canines, even though I won't mind drawing other species, there will be a slight bias towards canines. @_@

tl;dr Post a joke/pun/random stuff and a ref of your character and I'll draw it. I'm only picking 3 of them to draw though.


P.S. If I opened commissions, how much would you offer?

Well, I'm bored. I thought I could sketch some other characters apart from the foxes I usually doodle, as a practice to try out a variety of characters.
If you want me to draw your character, just reply (and probably a link to a picture/ref of a character you want me to draw).
I'll sketch them in my own style, feral form. Just sketches, and I'll link to them here, instead of upload them into my gallery.
I'm way more comfortable with canines, but wouldn't mind other species. Warning: Sloppy art on the way.

I'll do a couple before calling it a day. And I might skip yours, but don't feel disheartened if I don't draw yours. :3

Off to a new school, new environment, new friends, new everything. Happy that I can start a new life, but I've been really comfortable with my old one in secondary school. I really don't want to leave.. also, being immersed in a mixing bowl of a thousand of people isn't the best way to start to get to make friends.

Plus, this school is almost an hour away from where I live, by public transport.

Even though I'm starting school, I'll still be posting art whenever I can. I doodle foxes everywhere I can! I love drawing those critters too much, it's impossible for me to stop.

2011 was a eventful year for me, at least online. I've met so many people on this site, and all of you are awesome! I'd post one of those "improvement" memes on my art, but I have been rather inconsistent in posting art anyway. :x

I really loved the community here, it's like everyone is so warm and fuzzy. And really open. I've only been here for slightly more than a year (and that means this is my first full year on FA!), yet I already feel really happy here.

As this year was my last year of secondary school, with a big exam at the end, this site really did help me relieve stress and give me a chance to do other stuff other than studying.

Next year... when I start school in late jan, I'd probably be less active, as I can't be arting as much. I'll still try to come here often though!

Exactly a year ago, I joined FA, without knowing anyone. The community was really nice, and fun to hang around with.. It was also my first time hanging out with the furry community. And a year later, I'm typing this journal.

Anyway, thanks everyone! Despite the irritatingly high number of site off-time, bugs and drama, I've really enjoyed this community a lot! So many great people. Like you, you, you and even you!

And can't think of anything else to write in this journal. =P

Everyone says html5 is the future.

Being a flash animator, I realize most people use flash purely for streaming video, and the occasional flash game. If game coders and video streaming can switch to html5, the internet will be better, right? But that means flash animators have no medium to animate with. Of course, we can always export to video, but nothing's better than the awesome vector graphics goodness that flash animations come from, and in the highest possible video quality (actually, because it was never converted to video)

Adobe has stopped developing flash player for android. So android users are stuck at flash player 11. This is no problem, at least for me, as all my animations, being made in flash cs4, are always exported in flash player 10 format. This means any device that supports flash player should still able to play it, even with the (not yet) outdated flash player 11 for android.

Unless a developer (or adobe) allows exporting of flash animations to html5 files or a vector animation program with similar functionality with flash, I doubt I will make the switch.


But wait! Google created a swf to html5 converter, and even a plugin to export the html5 files directly from flash. It's called swiffy. It can be found here:http://www.google.com/doubleclick/s.....extension.html

I've tried exporting one of my flashes to this format. It runs really well on the computer (you can test it out here: http://dl.dropbox.com/0/view/id901n.....q/fb5.swf.html). I've ran it on my phone (an LG optimus 2x), and it lags a bit, even adobe flash itself has better performance. I'd expect an iPhone to play this well, especially with all the html5 support that apple brags about. The original flash: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5586628/

And that it doesn't support streaming sound (for now) is kind of a bummer. Also, coding doesn't seem to work well, the preloader just skips straight to the main animation. So no html5 for now! Sorry guys, you got to wait. Probably a few years.

Oh, I think FA should allow html5 uploads in the near future. Not now, it's way too soon, but probably when html5 becomes more popular.
