Contest Results!!
Posted 13 years agoThanks everybody!
Posted 13 years agoI've got all the current entries posted over on my DeviantArt account! So super excited about the number of entries already. :)
Here's a link in case anybody wants to go check them out! http://sequinoxed.deviantart.com/jo.....test-305691182
I still have no real idea when the deadline will be. I've been working on and off on the next page but haven't been making the progress I was hoping to make. I'm trying to juggle my comic as well as creating some items to sell at a local convention in September.
That and I've been battling with some art block and lack of inspiration. I hate getting into slumps and it's been hard to keep myself motivated to do anything. But I'm trying to work through it the best I can.

Computer Issues
Posted 13 years agoSorry that I haven't been able to make any updates on the contest. Although I'm already amazed with all the entries! Thank you guys!
The wireless card in my laptop decided to take a crap this weekend, and I just now got a wireless usb hooked up. So I have to go through everything which may take me a day or so. But hopefully I'll get all the entries posted up here soon!
Thanks again everybody! So far I love all the entries and it's going to be really hard to choose.
Also, for everybody that has posted an entry so far, I do plan on going back and making comments on all of them. :) I want to be able to go through and say everything that I love about them, but I want to wait until after the contest is over.
EDIT:
All the entries are being listed over on my DeviantArt. I'll post updates on the contest here as well, but to view the rules and current entries, please visit my DeviantArt. :)

More contest questions!
Posted 13 years agoI've got two more questions that I would like some input on before I officially get this contest rolling.
What is the best format to use for the lineart? I've never offered lineart for coloring, so I'm not really sure what is the best format to use. I would assume just a .psd file? I suppose I could find some lineart groups and see what they do.
My other question is, do you prefer to be able to see the other contestants pictures as they are submitted or would you rather wait until the dead line and then I'll post all the contestants? I'm kind of leaning towards posting them as I get them, that way everybody can keep an eye out on how many contestants are entering. Ultimately, I will be needing to use 7 designs. 4 of the 7 will have speaking roles, while 3 will just be in the background. Because of the amount of designs that I will need, there will be no limit to the number of entries a single person enters.
As an added perk to those that are drawing their own husky and not using the base line art, I want to include the picture in the final printed copy of the comic. More on this when I post up the official rules!
Anyway, I would love some input! I have the husky base completed so it's just a matter of me putting the rules together now.

Input Please!
Posted 13 years agoIn future pages I am going to have some openings for cameos. I'm thinking about holding a "design a character" contest for these spots, mostly because the character has to meet some pretty specific guidelines.
My question is, should I provide an outline for people to color or should I just have the contestants draw their own? I definitely understand that this comic does not have a lot of popularity yet... so I'm thinking of offering a base so if somebody doesn't feel their artistic skills are quite up to par, they can at least still participate since I think that may be my best way to get a variety of contestants.
Prizes will be a ref sheet of your character by me and a cameo in the comic.
So let me know what you guys think! I think I have about 5 more pages to do before I'll need some other huskies, so I will have to hold this relatively soon.

Posted 13 years agoI just wanted to say a big thank you to all my new watchers <3
It really makes me feel good and helps motivate me to know that people are interested in this comic. It's been a couple months since I've worked on it, but I've got the drive to push out some pages. Also, my technique with digital is improving and I'm finding faster ways to work, which was a real crutch before. I was always such a slow digital worker that it made any tasks take more hours with little result.
With that being said, you may see a bit of a style change in the pages from here on out but I hope for it to be for the better.
Also, I'll be uploading some pictures that I've done of the characters as well with character sheets in a bit.
Thanks again everybody!

Posted 13 years agoI'll be posting my comic onto this profile, Left Behind. Right now I'm trying to make this profile look as similar to my other as possible, that way anybody can easily identify that we are run by the same person.
My reason for creating a different account for the comic is to help keep it separate from the other art I do. That and I hope to make things easier for anybody that just wants to look at the comic without having to go through an entire gallery looking for the pages.
So, please hold tight while I get this up and running. Already my profile picture is giving me trouble which as me a little miffed. I'll get if figured out though...
