Still alive, still haven't drawn shit. I'm trying to get my act together but I've lost a lot of motivation as the school year finishes. I'm tired of waking up and doing the same crap everyday, going to school, coming home, and doing nothing until bed, only to wake up and repeat. Throw in the fact that I only have a summer full of art shit and work to look forward to. All sense of go-lucky has slipped from my fingers like water, and I feel like I'm trying to use a strainer to pick it all up again. I can't keep track of anything anymore and I feel like I'm failing everyone, including the love of my life. I've completely abandoned the fandom.
I need some more time away from trying to get out the drawings I've promised people and trying to come up with decent content to upload. I may not be active at all, maybe I'll pop up on FAF every now and then, I don't know. I cannot guarantee when I'll be done with everything, but I can promise I'm ok and not slipping into an endless depression pit that the longest rope wouldn't be able to reach me.

I live, beaten dead by a busy school/art schedule. Where do I begin . . .
My school had a major production and I was called to three full weekends of 9-5 tech. call and set work, ending with a lovely art show that lasted from 8 in the morning to 6 in the afternoon. Next weekend, family came in and we spent the whole weekend with them, and my week days were filled with studying and bumping grades up to not get kicked from art school. Needless to say, this month was a little busy.

Now for some much-needed updates. Lucifer is getting . . .drum roll . . . a third evolution! Woo! A sloppy but understandable sketch of this "third form" should be released. I'm saying this because Raptros, if you've made it this far, I'm so sorry the Valentine's Day gift isn't out yet, but I'm getting there and will feature Lucifer's new look. I'm recently picked up Bronchitis while in Louisiana, so I'm trying to get over that as well.

Sorry for the unannounced hiatus, but hopefully I'll be a little more active now. I don't plan on drawing today, just kicking back and playing Pokemon, and I'll be away fishing tomorrow, but Friday is drawing day! Woo!

I won't be releasing any more WIP photos until the suit is completely done. Stopping mid-project to take pictures, only to post shitty outcomes that downgrade the suit's quality isn't working well for me.

For a small update, I've been battling a hardcore cold that isn't past yet, but I'm almost done with the head and nearly done with one leg of digitigrade padding. The wings have been cut and shaped to not look so stupid anymore, and modifications will be made to the fingers so they'll fit with the look of the stubby 3-toed feet. They will become a three-fingered pair of claw/paws for the little dragon bird. The tail pattern needs some remodeling as well, and I need to put Relate's earrings on her ears.

I've missed talking to all my pals on FA/FAF, and I've missed browsing the internet as a whole. Our DSL went dry and died, so that had to be dealt with. If it weren't for high school I still wouldn't have internet. I love high school. Ha bet that'll change soon.

Be aware that 99% of the time I'll probably say "Nope, sorry" but if you catch me in an over-the-rainbow mood I may say yes. In a nutshell, your chances of having a Sparkledog are low because each one must have its own characteristics, no two Sparkledogs are alike. That means don't put a fucking unicorn horn on your Sparkledog.

I'd like to bring your attention to two very important things that need immediate attention. If you own any exotic animal, or anything other than a cat or dog, this will affect you (some sooner than others). Right now the herp world and the amphibian world are under siege. The FWS, backed by anti-pet groups (PETA & HSUS, etc) are attempting to push through a law that would allow them to arbitrarily add species to the Lacey Act as injurious and ban them, without due process of law, scientific research, or anything of that nature. Literally, they would be able to put whatever they want down, ban it, and it would be law. To put this in perspective - violating the Lacey Act is a felony. Fines, jail time, and your animals destroyed.

A little history on the fight. Below is what's happening now, and what you need to be aware of.

ALERT: Right now, of utmost importance is for the herp community to use the two USARK Action Alerts below and share them. There are two issues demanding immediate action. The first alert addresses a USFWS proposal to list any species as injurious without full due process afforded under the law (i.e. no scientific support, no research, no economic impact study, etc.). This categorical exclusion affects a huge portion of the pet community (reptiles, amphibians, fish, birds, small mammals, etc.). The second alert concerns a push by anti-pet groups to add 5 species of snakes (including all boa constrictors and reticulated pythons) as injurious, which would make interstate commerce, interstate transportation and importation all illegal. CatX Update: FWS Amphibian Ban!

The US Herpetoculture Alliance has just been made aware of a NEW wrinkle in the whirlwind US Fish & Wildlife (FWS) Categorical Exclusion (CatX) power grab! Sources inside Capitol Hill have just informed us that the CatX is a precursor to the wholesale listing of ALL amphibians to the Injurious Wildlife list of the Lacey Act. CatX, if enacted, would remove most of the due process afforded the rule making process under the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA). It would exclude FWS from doing due diligence in regards to scientific, economic and social impacts. In other words they could list ALL amphibians, in essence, just by declaring that they are injurious wildlife!

A petition to add ALL amphibians to the injurious list was fielded by FWS about two years ago. Subsequently, FWS published a Notice of Inquiry in the Federal Register signaling their intention to propose a rule. The US Herpetoculture Alliance predicted this scenario three weeks ago when we broke the news of FWS’s intention to secure CatX. It was our opinion that CatX was a precursor to an attempt to list all amphibians on the injurious list without giving due process to the thousands of species that could be affected. Further, the Herp Alliance believes that this would be only the beginning of additional large scale listings of hundreds of species.
