Questions for Readers (survey)
Posted a month agoHey guys, LegoRat here, it's been awhile :p
I'll be uploading some more writing soon but before I do I wanted to get some feedback in order to make your reading experience the best it could be.
I've never been pleased with Furaffinity when it came to sharing and reading written works. The fact that it requires a .doc filetype and will remove things like paragraph indentation and italics have always been frustrating. I've done things like putting a space between paragraphs in order to make the text more readable but given the increasing length of my stories I wanted to hear a prospective reader's thoughts.
I'm curious about three things:
1. How do you prefer your stories to be formatted? Do you want the story in the description? Do you just want to download a pdf?
2. For longer stories would you prefer I break it up into smaller segments?
3. Would you prefer that I just post a submission as a notification and link to another site where you can read it more easily? If so, what site?
Any other feedback or preferences you have I'd love to hear. I do a lot of reading irl but very little online so I'm not sure how readers would prefer their stories to be presented.
Thank you!

NEW STORY: Dumb As Shit
Posted 4 years agoHey, it's been awhile since I've made a journal.
I don't upload often and when I do it's usually going to be a story. I know some people like my writing so in order to prevent it from being lost in the shuffle I decided I'll put up a notification journal when I post it.
Dumb As Shit:
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/42454586/
A Transformation Scathro Story:
A dog who finds himself enthralled to a giant pile of shit discovers that things can get much much worse when he decides to betray it.
WARNING!: Contains nonconsensual acts, scat, diapers and all sorts of nightmare fuel nastiness. Please READ THE TAGS and do not read if you have a weak stomach or are even remotely normal.

Oh that's why I'm a Rat
Posted 8 years agoI swear every time I even think about changing my sona species I always have fond dreams about the garbage dump that I used to live across from. I miss that place . . . piles and piles of neat toys and wonderful waste, every trashbag a wrapped christmas gift.
Sigh, only a rat can be nostalgic about trash

FREE Starfox Graphic Novel
Posted 8 years agoIf I wasn't born a fur then Starfox was just one of the thousand needle pricks that infected me with the furry virus back in the early 90's.
From Feb 93 to Dec 93 Nintendo Power ran a series of StarFox comics in their magazine that told the backstory of fox McCloud and the addition of a new team member. Fearing it being lost I tracked it down and compiled it into all one easy to read volume.
Things that I did:
*Downloaded all images and put into easy to read .cbr format.
*Manually joined together two page spreads in order to view easier.
*Designed a front and backcover (Just to make it look nice).
If your a fan of the Snes, Starfox, or any kind of furry stuff download this and take a look. It's pretty much a totally free graphic novel, what do you got to lose?
Nintendo has a tendency to abuse their fans like an alcoholic husband. This is from a magazine that landed 24 years ago and is obviously still making lots of monies for them(sarcasm). If you're somehow reading this Nintendo don't hit me, I'll take it down if you want and I swear I'll do better next time, it's all my fault.
You need a .cbr viewer to read this

Damnit 90s PC gaming!
Posted 9 years agoIt's October and I'm in the mood for some Halloween shit.
So naturally you want to play Blood 2: The Choosen
Only problem is that it doesn't work on your 2015 laptop.
But thats okay, I'm not just a rat in name I'm a bit of a packrat in nature too. Thankfully I've got several late 90s and early 2000s PCs and Laptops lying around.
And it still is having problems.
Master Race my ass
Ah well this what I live for. To the .cfg files!

Music to code to
Posted 9 years agoWhen I'm coding I always like to listen to 80s music,
it makes me feel really hi-tech and 2.0
even though it's like 30+ years old
I have a sneaking feeling I might not be as future as I'd like to be

I am a dumb ass
Posted 9 years agoThat moment when you spend 5-6 hours rewriting an entire program,
that only needed 4 or so additional lines . . .
I just made my new 'donkey' fursona yesterday and already it seems to be a good fit.

One man's trash is one rat's treasure . . .
Posted 9 years agoRecently after cashing a paycheck I ended up Passing by some yard sales and took a look.
While I'd hate to be a stereotypical rat I am admittedly something of a trash picker, but most this stuff was junk. Honestly who on earth is actually going to buy a set of cracked ceramic dolphin plates? You're not going to make me feel guilty about eating them with some cheap airbrushed illustration.
After seeing nothing of worth I was about to leave when they asked me if there was anything that I was looking for. I mentioned I was just scanning to see if they hand any old video games and the guy disappeared back into the garage for a few seconds.
A few moments later he reemerged with a box that just had "SeGa" written on it with sharpie in block letters and offered me the whole box. I peeked inside and jumped on it immediately.
Back home I took the thing apart to find:
1 x Sega Genesis
2 x Genesis Controllers 3 button
2 x Genesis Controllers 6 button
1 x Sega Arcade stick and buttons controller
1 x Sonic 1 w box/manual
1 x Sonic 2 w box/manual
1 x Mortal Kombat 1 w box/manual
1 x Mortal Kombat 2 w box/manual
1 x Terminator Arcade Game w box/manual
1 x Sega 32x Addon
(A fuck load of other Genesis and 32x Games complete with box and manual.)
(Also some loose NES carts)
Best part?
The whole box was 10 bucks.
Fuck.
Yes.
Luck? Maybe. Also I figured I should ask about video games since they put out some boxes to a bunch of old consoles with their garbage the previous week. Again not a stereotypical rat or nothing . . . I just happened to notice.
Some like to window shop I like to window scavenge
Squeak, squeak!
