Dragoneer FurAffinity site owner has passed away finally, as you're no doubt aware since the mods made a system-wide banner. I'm not sure if he was a founder or involved in building the site, but he is the closest I know to Furry royalty.May the 4th be with you

Posted a year agoThe answer seems pretty obvious: just deactivate my account in settings, but I mean leave this community forever, and forget all about it.
It's impossible to forget a community, much less one that I've been through for a couple years and got to know a lot about.
I feel stuck, a slave to anthropomorphic animals freely getting frisky like there's no tomorrow.
One of those late-night rambles that just happens randomly. And a consideration for the future, should the furry community affect my life negatively from some point onward.

Doomsday: The ongoing Israel-Hamas Conflict - I'm scared
Posted 2 years agoIt's not often I'm scared of conflicts around the world. The Russia-Ukraine War is ongoing alongside this new Israel-Hamas War. These two conflicts are so violent and destructive, and now? There's the very real threat of World War 3!! O_O
How did we as a species fall so far? The quest for money and control has pushed some of these groups to battle, but for some; pure, unadulterated evil. I won't name anyone in this conflict, but for the first time ever, I'm scared for us. I'm scared for citizens, scared for soldiers, furries, police officers, medics, EVERY SINGLE HUMAN ON EARTH!.
Amidst the looming specter of a potential World War 3, it's essential to remember that we are all interconnected in this increasingly globalized world. The consequences of such a large-scale conflict would be catastrophic, not just in terms of lives lost but also the devastating economic, environmental, and social ramifications that would follow. It's a wake-up call for us to acknowledge the importance of diplomacy, dialogue, and cooperation.
In the face of these fears, there's also room for hope. History is filled with examples of humanity's capacity to come together during dire times. International organizations, such as the United Nations, have been established to prevent such large-scale conflicts and promote peace. We must push for these institutions to be more effective and ensure that leaders around the world prioritize dialogue over confrontation. The power of the people to raise their voices and demand peaceful resolutions is an incredible force, and it's up to us to exert that pressure to prevent the descent into chaos. We can't afford to lose sight of our shared humanity and the possibility of a more peaceful future for all!
What will the world look like post-WW3? Hopefully no nukes are launched. Cyberattacks have shown to he just as devastating. Whatever the case, my intense prayers go out to EVERYONE on this planet. Prayers for minimized casualties. Prayers for a truly unified world. Prayers for the next generation of mankind to be driven less by selfishness, more selflessness. We could see a Global Government established to keep the population from destroying itself.
Summary...we are closer than ever to "Doomsday" or "Armageddon" or "The End Times" or whatever you want to call it. If a global conflict does occur, humanity can recover from this. The only thing I want now, more than ever before, is world peace. It's a complex process sure, but I want to see it happen. I'm sorry to all the innocents caught up in this chaos. We, the Furry Community, wish you all the best.

Adults & commissions, a parasitic relationship
Posted 2 years agoI've seen many artist like Lucca having to give up/restrict commissions and YCHs because of the very passion that affects their daily life. Whether that be babyfur or others I'm not aware of, it seems that getting into the furry community is a quick trip to depression and a horrible adult life. Having to contend with doing fetish art, the stress of having to finish a piece that someone paid you to draw, or just the stresses of having this secret life with a niche community in the grand scheme of things, or a combination of these, it seems to always, inevitably lead to mental health issues; maybe some suicides... I've been through a rough patch myself because of this, feeling disconnected from everyone and not fitting in. I hate that. This is why I abandoned my FurAffinity account: to avoid something like Lucca's situation from repeating itself. I will never become a furry. I will never take or buy commissions/YCHs. I will never be like PhantomThiefRoserade or Tugscarebear, Tato, or any others that suffered trying to find their place. I close my public RP'ing icon, I sever all ties with this site.

Very short sighted policy update by the staff. Makes me wonder if there's some higher authority demanding these updates. This site does not have the RTA (Restricted To Adults) logo applied, so perhaps the FCC or some other branch is forcing these changes to stay online. 🤔
I've retired long ago as I focus on my future, and I'm happy to leave this site if it comes down to it. You can continue to find me on InkBunny and YouTube using the links on my bio.

Posted 2 years agoThere's been some drama recently. Clayranger143 was exposed in sexual engagement of a minor, pedophilia, and he's been canceled. He stated a hiatus on his main channel and took on the Persona of "Jack Davis" (https://youtube.com/@jackdavis9906). Trying (and failing) to clear his name, "Jack" talked about the controversy and stole videos. First stolen video was of chris chan apparently humping his PS3 (https://sonichu.com/cwcki/Chris_humps_his_PS3). Second video was from a news article of a mom's struggle with an autistic 20 year old son (https://www.jacksonville.com/story/.....c/15872787007/).
