Journal 4: Am Dead
Posted 8 years agoYeah, I feel like I'm probably not gonna be putting out too much art anymore. I'll still do some, but with university and losing access to a photo scanner, it makes printing a lot more difficult. I also feel like I want to branch out to other non-organic chemistry stuff, but at the same time it is an important niche I don't want to lose and I really can't draw so expanding out doesn't really make sense. Oh well, I'll figure something out. (or forget about this for a couple of months again, instead. Probably that)
Journal 4: Am Alive
Posted 8 years agoShit, Shit, Shit! I forgot I was alive! Sorry I've been gone for, like a month or something, between school, existence, and a new found Overwatch addiction I've been very tired recently. But I am alive and should still be making art now and again. I'll probably be branching out into other things, I'm not sure. I'm fine to branch out into more science stuff like the copper sulfate thing I just did and some math stuff like that Euler thing I never posted and probably will never post but beyond that there is stuff I kinda want to do but also I don't but I do... so yeah, there's that
Journal 3: One art Two art Red art New art
Posted 8 years agoYou may have noticed but my most recent two drawings were slightly different than my other previous drawings. All (at least most) of the drawings I've put up recently (PCP, to Bromothymol Blue) I did in pencil before going over in sharpie. This is the first time I've done that and I see why real artists do it. It's much nicer and easier to create neat art. I was also experimenting with line thickness. What do people think, do you like the thinner lines or the thicker ones, I can't decide so you'll have to.
I should have my second "on philosophy" coming out tomorrow, so look out for that. I don't know how many I'm going to do but I'll probably run out of topics pretty fast, so don't expect more than, like, twelve, I guess.

Journal 2: My descent continues
Posted 8 years agoEh, I guess I should journal more, talk about stuff I want to do and all that. I don't expect you guys to actually read this, it's more a place to organize my thoughts. Today I thought of doing a comic using all (yes every single one) of my characters. I'd have to plan it all out, and I don't have all the characters I want yet, but I think it'd be neat. It'd also be very hard to follow as I'd assume you've read all (ALL) of the descriptions of my drawings and understood all of the lore of each character. Did I mention I have 0% idea how to make/structure a comic. I think I can just make it up right? I can't be that hard, right?
Besides that, I think I've actually sort of grown as an artist. It's weird, looking way back at two weeks ago my drawings were very (subtly) different. Well, you know the saying, what three years of art classes can't do, a two weeks of doodling can. Anyway, if you managed to make it though my pretentious and nonsensical rants here, then I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Just know I'm here to talk if you need to.

Art update(ish kinda thing)
Posted 8 years agoI'm doing this to explain the next few submission coming. I, being the amazing and professional artist that I am, ran out of white printer paper yesterday. In a quick and desperate attempt to satiate my desire to create horrid eldritch monstrosities molecules I started doodling on reference cards. I was going to do chibi art but it turns out that trying to make a hexagon chibi is pretty much impossible. Anway, a bunch of the next few submissions are smaller more free-form pieces (aka I didn't use a ruler and now they look bad). Tell me if you like this format.
