Updated Contact Info
General | Posted a year agoI updated my profile so my Weasyl page is linked under contact info, rather than as a separate line at the top of the page. I'm not leaving FA or anything, but I post everything to both and I still encourage people to use Weasyl, as it seems like a perfectly fine site that only lacks a larger userbase.
After debating for a while, I decided not to publicly add anything else under contact fields, but if anyone wants my:
Discord
Second Life
Steam
Good Old Games
Switch
Battle.net
or even Epic Games info, please send me a note and I'll probably be happy to share that info if I know you. I literally have NO friends on some of these platforms and it might be nice to change that. Just keep in mind, I almost never play multiplayer games so it'd be mostly for socialization and maybe future sessions of Tabletop Simulator once my life circumstances change and I have time for that kind of thing. I'm not going to be joining any guilds or playing weekly death matches or anything.

Daorsa Cameo in Chocola RPG Chapter 2!
General | Posted 5 years agoFor fans of vore and my squirreldragon goddess, Daorsa, I'd recommend checking out
CarnivorousVixen's newly-released second chapter of the RPG she's been working on, starring her cute little predatory bunny, Chocola, a character I'm a big fan of. Unlike most vore game plans that never get off the ground, she seems to have a knack for completing her projects, and they're fun to play! Just as Leika had a boss fight appearance in Chapter 1, players will battle Daorsa in Chapter 2. I haven't finished the entire game, but I did finish Daorsa's section tonight and I feel like the encounter does her justice pretty well!
The link to the game on Eka's Portal is here: https://aryion.com/g4/view/615247
She may still be updating it since it was released recently, so if the link breaks I'll try to replace it with an updated one as soon as I can.
Thanks so much to
CarnivorousVixen for her hard work!

General | Posted 5 years agoI'd resisted making one of these journals, mostly because I'm not a big famous artist with a lot of clout, I'm clumsy at writing these sorts of things, and very few people will see it. But I suppose every little bit helps.
First off, I wish it didn't have to be like this. Riots are dangerous for everyone involved. They carry the risk of inflicting both financial and physical harm on innocent people, they encourage further militarization of police forces, and they make racists even more hateful and determined (believe it or not, we still haven't reached peak racism in the United States, it can get even worse). No matter what good comes from these riots, there will also be unavoidable negative consequences. That said, I completely understand why these riots are happening.
In 2014, Eric Gardner was murdered by an NYPD officer who put him in a chokehold while arresting him for the crime of selling unlicensed cigarettes. His plea of "I can't breathe" was ignored as other police looked on, and this phrase became the center of an entire protest movement to prevent this sort of brutality from ever happening again. It happened again. And again. And again. Eric Gardner's murderer was never held accountable and nothing changed.
In 2020, George Floyd was murdered in almost identical circumstances, down to the phrase "I can't breathe". He was only one of many people of color, several of them children, who were killed by overzealous cops, but I think Floyd's murder in particular really put into perspective how little had changed in the past six years. All the peaceful protests and outrage about Eric Gardner's death had done literally nothing. Cops were still killing with impunity and getting away scot-free. The resulting fury is entirely understandable to anyone with an ounce of compassion or empathy, and more than that, it got results. Right now, all four of the officers directly involved with George Floyd's death are under arrest, and I'm sorry to say that I don't think that would have happened if there had been only peaceful protests. America has grown too used to ignoring and dismissing protests, then forgetting anything ever happened. As Martin Luther King Jr. said, "A riot is the language of the unheard." When violence is the only language those in authority speak, it's the only one they'll respond to.
At least, that's my take. I understand that the vast majority of the protesters are peaceful and are trying to prevent damage to people or property, and at least recently most of the looting and vandalism seems to be the acts of white people, so please don't take my opinion as endorsement of rioting. Riots should never be the go-to option for getting justice, but when every attempt at peaceful solution is mocked, criticized, ignored and systematically eliminated for decades on end, I can't blame people for trying the only thing left. I'm just sorry that America has grown so overwhelmingly racist that fires in the streets are seemingly the only way to get people to acknowledge that there's a problem.
Meanwhile, the police and government have decided that the best way to respond to protests against police brutality is to triple down on police brutality. The past few days have been a horror show of videos showing police running over protesters with horses and vehicles, deliberately targeting journalists, blasting peaceful protesters with rubber bullets and tear gas with no provocation whatsoever, covering their badge numbers to prevent being held accountable for their actions, swarming cars and dragging out the occupants, and other depraved and illegal acts. Trump and his ilk are threatening to unleash the military on their own citizens, he had peaceful protesters gassed for the sake of a photo op in front of a church (the clergy at the church were also driven off just as brutally, and they're not happy about it), and he seems to be doing everything he can to escalate the situation and encourage more bloodshed. I'm alarmed that we're growing very, very close to either a fascist police state or a second civil war.
I'm not out protesting, much as I'd like to be. I'm a caretaker for an elderly man with Alzheimer's, and I'm scared of catching COVID in the crowds and passing it on to him. I'm willing to risk my own safety, but risking his is not my choice to make. Instead, I've been donating to Black Lives Matter and other related causes and trying to give support to friends who are more directly involved. If there are any organizations you'd recommend sending a donation to right now, please leave me a comment below. Most people seem to be shutting off comments for these posts, but I'm going to leave mine open- I'd like to hear peoples' suggestions for how else I can help, perspectives from people actually involved in the protests, and other thoughts. If you're a racist troll, don't bother- you will be blocked without comment. Whine all you like about how intolerance of racism makes ME the fascist, but I'm long past the point of caring what you have to say or feeling like you deserve a platform.
Wish I could end on a more positive note, but these are hopeless, dark times and I don't see them getting better any time soon. Stay safe out there.

Thank you to my watchers, and an update
General | Posted 10 years agoI just wanted to thank everyone who was so helpful in my last post about choose-your-own-adventure programs- thanks to your input, I'll be able to finally achieve a goal I've had for a long time. It may take a while, but now I have the tools I need to get there. Also, thanks to everyone who watches me, your comments and favorites are very much appreciated and I'm grateful to have so many watchers, considering I'm not even an artist.
So, I'm finally employed full time, at least for several weeks. Things are crazy right now... my car was smashed by a drunk driver (it was parked and I was nowhere near) and is a total loss, and I have no idea how much compensation I'll get (I lost my Lyft job because my old car was "grandfathered in" and they won't let me use another car of the same year, so that will affect things), plus I have to pay off my cell phone completely this month so I can switch to another plan, but after those finances are worked out, I plan on finally getting some more commissions! Pretty much everything the past few months has been thanks to the generosity of Zui, who keeps getting me those magician pics while I'm broke. Thank you, Zui! Here's a few things I'm hoping to get, once I've saved up enough:
More magician pics. I'm sorry, people who don't care about magician Jehauri! I just have so many more ideas, and it's really fun to keep this series going. Please don't unwatch me, because there's other things!
Two or three vore comics involving a couple friends, one World of Warcraft-related (I'm normally against licensed material, but the idea is too cute).
More Passiflora! I have lots of fruit-related ideas for her.
A sequel to that pic involving the hapless surfer and the scary shark lady! Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...
Possibly more Tammy. No affordable ideas just now, but I'd love to feature her and her poor roomie in something.
A few new characters, including a super cute floofy professor type, an exotic fish lady, and others.
A couple pieces of gift art. Jackals, salamanders, maybe a horse.
Hejauri doing bad things.
Requests??? Let me know if there's something you want to see more of (or see at all) and I'll take it under consideration. Thanks again, everyone!

Is there such a thing as...
General | Posted 10 years agoA standalone Choose Your Own Adventure program? By that I mean, essentially, a Choose Your Own Adventure game that you can download and play as a self-contained exe or whatever, much like you would a text adventure.
I feel a real urge to finally write the CYOA I've been pondering for years, but I'm not really sure how to go about it. Writing.com kind of sucks and is really based on random other people filling in the gaps, and I'd like to write this all myself (or maybe have a few guest chapters by friends) and have it be complete before I release it to anyone. Also, it would be nice if there was a way to add illustrations here and there (not by me, I promise!).
Any ideas?

Welcome to my FA page!
General | Posted 16 years agoHi! I'm Leika, and this is where I'll be posting pictures of me, my other characters, random sketches by friends, and anything else that may come along.
Please note, none of this art is actually done by me- I can't draw even the tiniest bit, and though I may post some writing of mine in the future, everything here right now is either gift art or a commission. I've credited the artists for each, and I highly recommend you go visit their FA sites when possible because they're not only talented artists, but nice people.
Thanks to everyone who's favorited or watched me! I'm very glad you've enjoyed what I've posted so far, but I should warn you that it might slow down a bit from here, now that I've posted all the art I had. I'll post gift art when and if it becomes available, but I'm not one of those furs who has commissions coming in every week, so it may be quite a while between updates around here. Of course, now that I have a little money, I might start buying more commissions... there are an awful lot of talented artists out there, after all.
Anyway, enjoy, and feel free to comment on the art or to send me a private message if you need anything. :)
