At the main hotel
What day are you getting there?
Thursday afternoon/evening
How are you traveling?
Driving with
Goldendruid
Who will you be rooming with?
GoldenDruid and
Birdfox!
How is the best way to find you?
During the day you can find me at my dealer's booth-Table 39
You can also keep up with my whereabouts on Twitter @LeiliaClay, or message me on telegram under the same name.
Are there any panels you might be attending?
Not sure. Thinking about trying out the Fursuit games if I can get away from my table!
What do you look like?
Short, brown wavy hair, sometimes a fluffy red and white spaniel. <3
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18401444/
Will you be suiting?
As much as I can! Will be stuck at my booth during the day, but hope to get some fun suiting in after the den closes!
Do you do free art?
No, sorry!
Do you do trades?
Not at the con
Do you do badges?
I'm not much for 2D Art, so not really.
What is your gender?
Lady
How tall are you?
5'2"
Can I talk to you?
Certainly! I can be a bit shy, but feel free to ask me any questions about my work when I am at my booth. I will also talk about dogs all day. XD
When I'm in suit I don't like to talk a lot, unless I know you really well!
Can I touch you?
If I'm in suit, you can hug me, though I prefer a warning since I am easily startled. Otherwise I'm not much for being touched, thank you! <3
Can I visit your room?
Unlikely. We are all dealers and our room is for quiet time/work time.
Can I buy you a drink?
I don't drink alcohol, but I drink lots and lots of water and the occasional soda!
Do you accept gifts?
Please bring me all the spaniel things. <3 <3 <3 Haha, but really, I can't imagine why you would bring me a gift, but of course I would accept a gift with much gratitude.
Can I hug or snuggle with you?
See the touching section above. I am always happy to hug friends as well! Snuggles not so much. ;)
Are you nice?
I like to think so! Sometimes I'm afraid my shyness makes me seem a little standoffish, but I assure you I am friendly, just nervous and socially awkward! XD
Do you have an artist table?
Yep, I'll be at Dealer table #39, sharing with
Goldendruid!
Will you be going to parties?
Probably not, I'm not much of a party pup!
Will you be performing?
If suiting counts? :D
If I see you, how should I get your attention?
Call Leilia, Lei, or anything about spaniels. ;) I have also started responding to "Tiny Dog" as I seemed to get called that a lot of at MFF lol!
Where will you be most of the time during the day/s?
At my table during the day, bouncing around as a spaniel dog in the evenings.
What/where will you be eating?
Going to try and bring as much of my meals to cut down on costs, otherwise mostly inexpensive places.
Can I come with you for food/fun/etc?
If you are invited, sure!
Can I look in your sketchbook?
It's not very exciting, but sure! XD
Can I draw in your sketchbook?
If you want?
Can I take your picture?
If I'm in suit, absolutely!!! Be sure to share it with me too! :D
What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
Have lots of fun, meet friends, sell some things, suit, etc. :)

Paws in the Park Fundraiser Reminder!
Posted 9 years agoMy fundraiser for Paws in the Park is still going strong! Thank you so very much to everyone that has donated or spread the word about the cause so far. I am happy to say that I reached my original goal of $100, so I have upped my goal now to $300. Lets see if we can make that happen! :D
Click here to visit my donation page: http://pago.convio.net/goto/LeiliaSpaniel
A few people have expressed interest in donating using PayPal, however the donation page apparently does not accept Paypal donations. If you want to use Paypal and are comfortable sending the funds to me, I can deposit the funds into the donation page myself. I'll send you a screenshot of the donation as confirmation that your donation goes directly to the shelter. Here is a link to my Paypal: https://www.paypal.me/Leilia
I also wanted to mention that at the request of the event runners, I will not be performing in suit at the actual event. I am saddened, but the event coordinator had very good reasons(Official Disney mascots being at the event was a big one) and was incredibly kind. I still plan to attend Paws in the Park in person, and hope that any other local furs will join me!
Thanks again! <3

Orlando Furs! Paws in the Park Fundraising Team?
Posted 9 years agoEDIT- The group is now set up! You can find it here: http://pago.convio.net/goto/LeiliaSpaniel
Hey everyone!
So I just had this crazy idea, and was wondering if any local furs would be interested. In February Orlando holds an event called Paws in the Park to raise money for our local shelter. You can create fundraising teams for the event, and I thought it might be neat if we created a furry fundraising team for the event! If anyone thinks they might be interested in joining a team like this, let me know!
You can find more info about this event here: www.pawsinthepark.org
I know it's only about a month away, but I though I would give it a shot at least! I'm thinking about contacting the event to see if they are okay with fursuiters. And if our team raises enough money, it's even possible to get our own tent as well!

2016 Convention Plans, Commission Slots Reminder
Posted 9 years agoI can't believe that 2015 is over! It was a very interesting year for me, lots of exciting changes and new things! I'm very interested in what 2016 will bring. :) With that said, here is my schedule for conventions this year:
Furry Weekend Atlanta-Dealer, sharing with
goldendruid
This will be my first time at FWA, I'm very much looking forward to it!
Megaplex-Dealer
This will be I think my sixth Megaplex, and third time in the Dealer's Den. Really excited about the new hotel!
Midwest Furfest-Hopefully!
I really loved going to MFF last year, so I would definitely like to try and go again this year if finances allow. If I do I would like to go for fun again, and not worry about the stress of running a table. :)
That's pretty much it! I'd like to try and attend the local Elliott's events again, and maybe do some suiting at other local cons and such.
Also another reminder that I am open for a few commission slots for FWA completion. Pick-up at FWA is preferred, but if you are not able to attend and are still interested in something, let me know and we may be able to work something out. Commission information and form can be found here:

MFF Review!
Posted 9 years agoMFF was...............
...
...
..AWESOME!!!
What a fun convention! I was so excited to debut my Leilia suit at my first real convention, and I was just overwhelmed with all the wonderful comments, hugs, and people wanted photos of her! Due to my short times at the convention each day, and the fact that I didn't know a ton of people there, I spent most of the time just wandering around the con in suit, and it was really fun! Some highlights included:
-SO MANY CUTE SUITS!!!
-Meeting my fursuit maker blackkrystal in person!
-Meeting a couple other madebymercury suiters around the con
-Meeting up with old friends and meeting online friends in person
-Doing my first fursuit parade
-Getting a hug from the most adorable and tiny child
-Entering my art into the art show and selling all but one piece!
The very few cons:
-Not spending enough time at the convention, haha!
-Not getting a hotel room made changing a bit tricky, but a really kind bunch let me use their room and that was really nice
-The art show seemed a little disorganized, particularly when I came to pick up on Sunday
-Not getting a chance to meet or hang out with so many people I wanted to see!
Overall it was a wonderful experience! I would love to come back next year if at all possible. Now I really can't wait for my next convention, haha!

Question for MFF Goers
Posted 10 years agoHey Everyone!
I have a question for anyone attending MFF that is staying at the main hotel.
I'm looking for someone who may be able to let me use their hotel room to change in and out of suit/store my belongings while I'm suiting. I had a friend who had offered up their room, but unfortunately they are no longer able to make the con. :(
My exact plans aren't set in stone, but right now I plan to be there sometime Friday am for a little bit. Saturday around mid-day to sometime in the evening, and Sunday probably around late morning or early afternoon.
I know it's a lot to ask, but if you are able to offer up space for me on any of these days, let me know! Hit me up either on Twitter or Telegram at LeiliaClay, or shoot me an email at LeiliaSpaniel[at]gmail.com
I'm also open to other suggestions and tips for suiting when you are staying off site, this is a very new experience for me!

Midwest Furfest Art Show!
Posted 10 years agoHey all!
So, I just recently got word that I was accepted into the Midwest Furfest art show! It's a bit last minute, but I'm looking forward to contributing some pieces. I'd love to do a couple large ooak pieces, something similar to my Buttergi sculpture from last year( https://www.furaffinity.net/view/15780652/ ). Maybe a bust sculpture or something like that as well if I have time. I'm thinking up a few ideas, but I would love some suggestions for what you guys might like to see!
In other news I have a cute pet commission sculpt I just finished up, and will be posting photos of soon. Also my fursuit arrived on Friday and she is amazing! Got a few fun photos posted on
LeiliaSpaniel. I'm planning on attending Elliott's Fall Festival at the end of the month, where she will be making her debut!

Leilia Fursuit is completed!!!
Posted 10 years agoI am super excited to announce that the fursuit I commissioned from
madebymercury is now completed, and she looks absolutely stunning!! Check out the submission post here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/17782928/
I am beyond thrilled with how she came out, she is perfect in every way. I am so excited to receive her! I've made a character account for Leilia where I will be posting pictures of her fursuit and such. You can find it at
LeiliaSpaniel.
Expect to see this happy spaniel running around at future conventions, including MFF this year and FWA and Megaplex next year! :D

Sculpture Commissions Closed! Custom Pupples Available! :)
Posted 10 years agoHello!
Just wanted to announce that commissions for full custom sculptures are now closed for the time being. I have enough projects to keep me busy for the next couple months at least. Current commissioners can keep track of the progress on their piece by checking out my Trello board here: https://trello.com/b/L97u1lXR
I MAY open again before the holidays, but at this point it is not looking likely. I apologize for anyone hoping to get a custom sculpture as a gift this year.
I do have some spots for custom painted versions of my Husky and newly released Corgi Pupples available, as well as some pre-painted ones that are ready to ship. You can find these guys in my Storenvy shop here: http://leiliaclay.storenvy.com/coll.....708501-pupples

FILLED-Art Trades Maybe?
Posted 10 years ago**Thanks everyone so much for the interest in a trade! At the time these slots are now filled, but be sure to keep an eye out in case I open again in the future! :D **
Hello!
I'm looking to add a couple new options to my commission types, but I would like to get an idea of how long they might take so I can price them accurately.
So! I'm thinking I might like to take on an art trade or two in exchange for on of these sculpture types.
The first option is a Pupple-styled custom sculpture. This would be a completely custom full body feral sculpture of a character in the style of my Pupple figurines. They are cute, toony, and around 3 inches in size. Examples can be seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17483325/ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17425717/ (please note that your character does not have to be canine, either!)
The second one would be a character bust sculpture. I do not currently have any examples of these, but they would be done in the style of my regular sculptures, and probably around 4-5 inches in size.
As far as trades go, I am looking for characters that I think will fit my style as much as I am the artwork that is being offered. I am estimating these sculptures will be priced in the $70-$100 range, so I would be looking for something of a similar value. I will consider all sorts of art, from other sculptures, plush, digital or traditional artwork, don't be afraid to ask!
Commissions do take priority over trades, but I expect to have these completed in 2-3 months time. Please don't ask for a trade if you don't think you can complete your half in a similar timeframe. :)
If you think you might be interested in a trade, comment below with your character, the style of commission you would be most interested in, and what you would be offering in exchange.
I will leave this journal up for a few days, then make my decisions. I will most likely only take one slot per option, so please don't be upset if I am not able to choose you!

Sculpture Commissions-Quotes Opening August 9th
Posted 10 years agoHello everyone!
I am happy to announce that I will be taking quotes for sculpture commissions starting on Sunday, August 9th! I'll be starting work on these commissions in September, as I am taking this month off of sculpting to get re-organized and take a bit of a rest after the craziness of preparing for Megaplex. I will only be taking on one or two large commissions this time around, and possibly one or two bottle cap commissions as well. These commissions will not necessarily be first come first served this time around. I'm looking for characters and sculpture ideas that I think will fit my style best.
I have updated my pricing page a bit to try and be more specific, you can find it here: http://www.leiliaclay.com/commissio.....nfo/#/pricing/
Please read over that page as well as my policies page thoroughly if you are interested in a custom sculpture.
On Sunday I will make a post containing a link to my commission quote form, so be sure to keep an eye out!
I am also working on getting everything that didn't sell at Megaplex photographed and uploaded to my Storenvy shop. Custom painted husky and corgi Pupples will also be available very soon for anyone that had an interest in those. :)

Megaplex Review! (AKA Mudplex 2015)
Posted 10 years agoFinally getting around to posting about Megaplex, it's been a bit of a hectic week!
Gosh, Megaplex was so much fun this year!! Selling in the Dealer's Den was really a great experience, definitely want to do it again next year. Though I was hoping to make a bit more than I did, it was still a very successful weekend, so I am happy. :) I am also glad I was able to debut my Corgi Pupples at the con, because they were by-far my most popular item! Everyone wanted corgis apparently! XD I am really happy that my original pieces have been selling. It was a bit scary to move completely away from fanart, so it gives me hope that my original ideas can gain some interest from people.
It was so wonderful to spend time with old friends and make some new ones as well! Sharing a table with
Robo-shark and
Zeta-Neubourn was really wonderful, and it was so much fun to spend time with them this weekend! Also loved getting to see
goldendruid,
paintzapper,
snootskunk,
Raze117,
candorian,
caustickeet and more(so sorry if I missed anyone, my memory is not the best sometimes)!
I was really happy to see the changes in the artist alley this year. It looked so much more organized and professional! There was so many talented artists out there as well, I definitely commissioned some lovely pieces of art from a few.
And gosh, sooo many cute fursuits! Makes me even more excited for when I get mine! I was sad that I didn't get to see as many being stuck at the dealer's booth(also missed the fursuit parade because they skipped the dealer's den, and that was quite a bummer!)
Oh, and seeing the CARE animals they brought to raise money for charity was really cool as well! I got to hold an adorable tegu and that totally made my day. XD
There were only a couple things that were a bit frustrating. One was the absolutely terrible wifi in the dealer's den. I am fortunate I didn't need to use it to work on commissions like many artists did, but trying to run the square readers was quite a challenge a lot of the time. And then, as the title says, I will forever remember this con as Mudplex 2015. After 3 days of torrential rain, the dirt lot that was designated for parking turned into a nightmarish mud pit. Putting aside the fact that it was awful trudging through it all just to get to and from the con, trying to get cars in and out was truly awful. On Saturday night a large group of us had to push a truck out of the mud that had gotten stuck. That was quite an experience. Then, when trying to leave on Sunday, my poor little green car also got stuck, and it took quite a bit of work to finally get it out. Though aside from the effects on my car(had to take it in for some balance issues, plus a full service car wash this week), it will certainly be something we can laugh about and remember for years to come. I am also just so impressed with the generosity and kindness of this community as a whole. Not a single person who saw the cars stuck in the mud hesitated to jump out and help, even if it meant getting covered head to toe in stinky swamp mud. It was a truly amazing thing to see.
All in all, Megaplex 2015 will go down as one to remember, and I am unbelievably excited for next year(Also that new hotel, HOLY CRAP! I am definitely getting a room next year, it's going to be amazing!). If anyone is interested in seeing photos, I posted several on my twitter and instagram accounts(both are @LeiliaClay).
I know I got quite a few people asking about commissions at Megaplex, I will be posting a journal about openings for those very soon, so keep an eye out!

Megaplex Meme
Posted 10 years agoOh man, Megaplex is coming up soon! I am getting so excited. :D Sorry for the lack of art posts, I have been furiously working on several new things that will be debuting at Megaplex!
Where are you staying?
At my house since I am local.
Who will you be rooming with?
Robo-shark and
Zeta-Neubourn will be crashing a my place since we are sharing a dealer's table.
How is the best way to find you?
I'll be in the Dealer's Den selling lots of sculptures! Come say hi(and buy my things! XD )
Are there any panels you might be attending?
I'm hoping to attend
goldendruid and
snootskunk's art jam panel, it sounds like fun! Also thinking about attending the fursuiting 101 and mascotting 101 panels if I have a chance to slip away from my table for a bit.
What do you look like?
Short girl with wavy brown hair. Will probably be wearing my green hair bows. ;)
Will you be suiting?
Nope, don't have a suit yet. HOWEVER-I am excited to say that I have one in the works from
madebymercury!! So next Megaplex expect to see a red and white spaniel dog running about. :D
Do you do free art?
Very unlikely
Do you do trades?
Maybe for small drawings, depends on how busy I am.
Do you do badges?
I sometimes offer watercolor ACEO type things at my table.
What is your gender?
girl
How tall are you?
Odd question. I am short, about 5'2" or so.
Can I talk to you?
Of course! I'm kind of shy sometimes, but I'll be happy to answer any questions regarding my art at my booth. I'll also talk about dogs, Pokemon, and Steven Universe all day. XD
Can I touch you?
No, please don't unless I know you well. ^^
Can I buy you drinks?
Umm, I guess? Non-alcoholic, though, I don't drink!
Can I give you stuff?
Yes...? As long as they are nice things!
Can I hug or snuggle with you?
No snuggles, that's a little weird. If you ask for a hug I will probably be okay with that!
Are you nice?
I like to think so!
Will you be going to parties?
Probably not?
Will you be performing?
Definitely not.
If I see you, how should I get your attention?
Call my name? Leilia or Lei works well. :)
Where will you be most of the time during the day/s?
Dealer's Den!
Can I come with you for food/fun/etc?
Ummm, maybe? I have no idea what my food plans are at the moment.
Can I look in your sketchbook?
Sure, but it's mostly just messy sketches for sculpture planning.
Can I draw in your sketchbook?
Yeah, that's cool!
Can I take your picture?
Not sure why you would, but please ask first. I'll need time to prepare a ridiculous expression. ;)
Can't wait to see everyone there!!

ESG Recap!
Posted 10 years agoElliott's Spring Gathering...
Was AMAZING! I had an absolute blast, what a wonderful event! :D though I didn't sell a ton, I made enough to cover my expenses, and really that was about what I was hoping for. But more importantly, I met so many wonderful people, and made some awesome new friends. I even attended several of the events, which is definitely something I have not really done before. I am a very shy person and have a fair amount of social anxiety in new situations. Some encouragement from friends convinced me to socialize a bit, and I am so glad I did! I know that I will never conquer my anxiety if I don't take those first steps, so this was definitely a great start. :)
I've also started to venture into doing a bit of drawing to supplement my sculptures. I had a few ACEOs that I was offering at my table as an experiment, and was pleasantly surprised that there was a bit of interest in them. I was even commissioned for a few customs during the convention, something I have never done before. That was really encouraging, as I am not nearly as confident in my drawing ability compared to sculpting. I will be trying out offering them again at Megaplex.
I want to give a shout out to the wonderful
goldendruid who sat next to me in the artist alley. She and her husband were so nice and so much fun to hang out with, along with their friend Raze. Thank you guys for everything! It was also great to see the lovely
yuchicoyote , thanks again for that adorable Meowth drawing! Also thank you to everyone else who came by, whether is was to buy something, discuss a commission idea, or just to say hi. It really means so much to me to be a part of this great community. I am even more excited for Megaplex now!!
And speaking of Megaplex, while main commissions are still closed for the time being, I may be offering a few openings for Megaplex pick-up orders. I'll have more on that soon.
I apologize for this rather lengthy recap, haha! I just wanted to get my feelings out about all the fun I had this weekend. ;)

Elliot's Spring Gathering
Posted 10 years agoHey all! It's a bit last minute, but I've secured an artist table at Elliot's Spring Gathering next month! I'll have my remaining old style Pupples, wolf figurines, bottle cap necklaces, and a few other figurines available. I am working on an all new husky Pupple figurine that I am hoping to have ready by then, too! I'm really looking forward to it!
Anyone else planning to go? :D

New Online Shop!
Posted 10 years agoAfter a lot of thought, I have decided that Etsy is no longer the best place to sell my work anymore. The fees are just too high, and I am getting very little traffic from within the site anymore.
So, with that said, I am now switching my online shop over to Storenvy! Everything should remain pretty much the same for my customers, the prices will not change, and you can still pay by either Paypal or credit card.
To celebrate the opening on my new store, all remaining Pupple figurines are now on sale for $5 off their regular pricing! I have a few pre-mades that are ready to ship, and only two custom painted ones available.
So head on over the my Storenvy shop and take a look: http://leiliaclay.storenvy.com/
