I'm sorry for not being around here and keeping everyone up to date about me or anything. Guess the big C V 19 made me feel a little uneasy when it happened that my focus was kinda gone and kinda gained some weight. Been feeling down and barely was drawing much. Welp, I've finally started getting my brain into gear. If drawing keeps my mind occupied then I'm going to work harder on it.
If anyone is wondering if I'm still drawing my comic Within the Ashes, Yes I still am, It's not finished, Still in rough drafts, Drawn about 226 pages so far but altogether I've drawn a lot more due to the story and panel changes. I really want this comic to be perfect as I can get it. Been experimenting with styles, Trying to figure out just how I wanna see it. Even went full Sin City noir inked by hand with real ink in some early pages for tests... not quite working for me... We'll see. I'm going to work purely on finishing the drafts and then perfecting them before I figure out the style, although I'm certain it'll have to be done in digital.

So I've been working as you know on the comic Within the Ashes. Still in the works and testing out just how to color and draw it. I think i've decided to draw it all in real ink and then digitally color it.
So far i've Drawn about 117 pages, no where near then end but still but i'm still working it. Sorry for the slow updates.

Hey there, Just letting Ya'll know that my comic is still on going in rough draft form but i've gotten at least 66 pages done in order and 19 pages out of order for later in the story... so about 85 pages in total.... And it's only a dent in the progress... this sucker will be a long one. I have a feeling it will be 300 or more pages... a little less... i don't know yet but it'll be a long one.

"Within the Ashes" will be mostly an artful character study comic with a Dark Noir/Horror style. I wanna make this into a unique reading experience. Been mostly working on progression of scenes and direction. So far i love what i have done in the Wip version.I hopes to share it when i'm done.

Oh boy, It's been a hell of a two years for me. Slow updates, Rarely around, Not thanking my watchers for the watches. Sorry. My focus is pretty much everywhere at times and busy doing so many other things. Finally got my room the way i want it, Computers set up just right drawing a new comic i'm working on.

What? did i say a new comic?

Yup! I'm working on a brand new comic that's a bit ab normal for a furry comic. Working on Dialogue, rough drafts and sketches at the moment. More of a personal comic I've been dying to make for years. 80's horror Noir kinda style comic. I've Drawn, inked and colored the cover art and finished the first page to see just what it'll look like and I've been listening to A LOT of 80's sounding synth music to help get me through the panels. I'm happy with the first page, It's very much how i want my story to start. I don't know why but unlike the last comic i announced called "The New Breed" which sadly just didn't form or take a hold of me in any way, This comic is actually taking form and i'm very eager to make it. Wish me luck that it will actually see it's way to the ending... Heh heh I actually sketched the entire ending before i started. I just had to draw the book ends first, lol ^_^



Well that's my update. Not dead yet and when the i do die i'll tell you... uh... somehow, lol.

Well, You must be wondering why I've been so quiet and why has my art been almost non-existent? Well, The family and I have moved from our home town Abbotsford into a small trailer fit for four but not enough privacy to do a lot of furry art or regular. The house we're waiting for will be finished in March 17 2018. Hurray!!

Now this house was supposed to be built in October 2017. We noticed the home we purchased is attached to two others and ours was in the middle. Well, after visiting the grounds and seeing the space never been expanded and opened up further for all three to fit, we talked to the guy building it and he told us nothing has changed. We learned through someone else that he never planned to build three homes there to begin with and we were wasting our time and almost on the verge of being homeless... well not homeless exactly but because he wasn't truthful the banks had no clear information needed. We couldn't back out of the contract or we would have lost even more money. Well we got lawyers and fought to get a new home in the area. We won with the extra cost of 15,000. That's alright, the house is bigger and much more roomie. Problem? an extra five months is needed on top of the first year we waited... fuck. We all went through some stress, the money spent was actually for our furniture and we need to slowly build some money to afford things we need. We'll we're doing better on that situation. Then a lot of family problems happened... Some to horrible to mention so I felt very depressed and been having emotional problems since. The Person who bought the home is a weird crazy woman who had some extreme dreams for our old house, seeing it now is an insult to the hard work my brother and I went through to make it beautiful. You had to see it to believe it. I was barely in the mood to draw, I have drawn some sketches here and there to get my mind off of things. Rp's are a bit on and off a lot now but I sometimes try to play depending on mood.

So, if I do take on commissions it will be in February or after. I hope to see you furries later when I'm feeling more like myself and happier.

Not a rant, just my thoughts. Is it a good idea or a bad one? I wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts on the subject. would be nice to hear. but my thoughts are this.

The Lion King was a very unusual movie, it is basically Bambi taken more seriously and has dark themes and plenty of drama sometimes punctuated by humor from it's comedy relief and sometimes natural humor. the drama in this movie is very heavy leaning towards the adults interest in watching the film but kids learning something to. The thing I found interesting about the lion king when I was young was that I was drawn to it (pun not intended) on many levels. the characters are all memorable, I liked that I felt something for each one and it's unique cause they are all talking animals and are all hand drawn. that is an accomplishment. It's story is strong, borrowed from others to create a new idea in the canon of Disney films that are usually taken from books and known sources. it worked so well cause it felt new and unlike any other Disney film. What also had me hooked was it's musical cues by Hanz Zimmer, a first for me to think about the music of a film... then down the road that addictive Mortal Kombat theme happened. but lets not go too off track.

The Lion King's energy is amazing. it worked all the ingredients just right, music, songs, humor, kids humor and adult themes and story and art. it's amazing and no other film will come along like it again. actually there has been but it's this film that sticks in our minds the most. well maybe mine.

So, What about the Remake? is it a bad idea? well, the jungle book remake by Jon Favreau was actually a terrific movie with uneven areas and bad acting from its sadly... live actor. He is a young kid playing Mowgli and was trying his best. I should give him a break, but he was play the main lead and when you play the main lead you need to act like there is something really there or we don't believe you. funny to say, the kid was wooden but the animal areas were amazing, the cgi looked great and it worked well. I loved all those scenes.

Now all those animal scenes in the jungle book, imagine the lion king like that. Well, I'm kind of curious actually. I don't think it's a bad idea, who knows, what they need to do is reimagine it, not the same movie cause if it's the same, then we'll just watch the original. What I'm hoping for is if they make it some how darker than the original film, they may even add the scene with scar trying to get Nala to become queen and go all the way with the darker scenes, including Scars original death by being burned in the fire and laughing? only in storyboards.

I'm curious, it's not a terrible idea, the main reason why they ARE doing it is because the lion king is where the MONEY is at. biggest box office hand drawn film? to biggest box office CGI animated film. and they both have the same title. well hope the money isn't what they are all thinking as they make it, it better have art. the thing that I love about the original film is that it inspired me to draw better characters and more animals, I look at the The Lion King with really inspiration and it helped me to create a style of my own. it's easy to be inspired by hand drawn animation, it's drawings and kids draw a lot. the problem with the cgi version that urks me in anyway is that it wouldn't really inspire anyone to draw anything. the kids will just be amazed by the images. that's it.

The Lion King remake is all realistic cgi and it will look good. not a bad thing, but one that's not going to inspire artist in my mind.

Jon Favreau, you better make it a good reimagining. please for the love of god don't copy the original... every time the The jungle Book got too close to the original animated film... it was it's weakest points. (Or great... I can hear Christopher Walken singing in my head now)

Just now, the last page is done, page 65 that is. Dialogue added, drawing and textures is done.. the long journey is over *wipes sweat from fuzzy forhead* WOW!

The first moment I heard he had left this earth, I had a very sore spot in me... still do. As if something special from my child hood was taken from me. I guess to me when I was a kid was that Robin Williams was like the uncle I wish I knew. He was always in my house on t.v., making me laugh, telling the best stories, Always dressing up for fun and was always inspiring. but yet couldn't talk to him myself and never got to know him personally. But It didn't stop me from loving him.

He'll remain in my mind and heart as a child hood favorite actor, even his voice alone was a special thing to listen too. In my mind he is "The" Peter Pan.

Robin? Where ever you are... Make sure to go to the second star on the right... and straight on til morning...

I'm going to a my sisters wedding tomorrow and then when I come back home I'll be going on a two week camping trip. So I'm uncertain if I'll be able to chat or be able to get online at all. but I have a plan. My wonderful mate Tomoya will be helping with the updates. while I'm gone he'll be posting them for me. So on my camping trip in my dads new RV, I'll be finishing the comic and relaxing peacefully. So I hope you guys will enjoy what is posted.

Get Psyched!

All the dialogue has been written and has now been approved by Tomoya but needs some looking over by Sidern. Soon I'll be able to start posting pages, but until Sidern can check the updates on the dialogue I'll be fixing and reworking the The first 14 pages because the first few pages were made with a Bamboo Wacom tablet the so quality isn't nearly as go as the newer pages done with the Cintiqe 13HD Tablet, plus he style seams to have changed along the way. So I'll hold this back longer till I can get it to look as great as the recent pages, since I still have the files with the layers, it'll be very quick. one day is all I'll need for this job ;3

Interesting timbit, I've scanned every piece of sketches and drawings on my progress on this comic, all of it, even the smallest sketch. All of it is about 130 something pages worth, including "the original rough draft verion" of the comic. when the comic has been posted, shall I post the unused materials as well?

The comic isn't done, but every single page has been inked and is ready to been shaded in and colored, and with how I have been improving with my Cintiq13HD, it might be done pretty soon. 27 pages left to finish, now that I have every facial expression drawn, eyeballs in place and poses set, it'll be easy to get through now ^^

I saw Godzilla, the new one, 3d and ultra AVX sound... man was it cool. A great Godzilla movie. the problem with seeing this one is that it makes me want to see the other Godzilla's, the original all the way up to Godzilla 2000. I have seen the last remake with Mathew Broderick, I never thought it was a bad movie, it's one of those dumb fun monster flicks. This new one wasn't dumb, it's builds up the tension and because of that the fight scenes feel really fun and sometimes scary. The 3d works very well as depth and the sound was cewl. you must see this movie. unless your not a Godzilla/monster fan, then nope.

Now what is going on with me. m'kay, I've been ultra busy, got sick, my dad got a new RV trailer for camping in, it's really nice and the sleeping space is very good. my sister is having issues with court papers and it's causing my neice to feel knots in her stomach because this is caused by her father whose forcing her into situations that are just too much for her. Don't worry though, I'm still finding the time to draw the comic, I've gotten quite a lot done soo far. I should try drawing something else soon, so that I'm not totally gone.

So yup, sorry if I haven't been answering questions as often as I did before. but my mind is most of the times on other things... as seen above.

Happy Valentines day !!, I wish I had drawn something up for my fans but man I've been a busy lion this month, Now I'm up to page 31 of the comic, my new doggy Bruno is in need of love and attention and a few things that don't need to be mentioned.

30 pages has been finished but a lot more still to go. This comic has been going through some reworking on panels and story structure as I was drawing it making things a little more difficult... but I think the story structure is now done, I just need to make the freak'n thing. Do be honest. there is actually enough alternative material to create a complete alternate version of the same comic. like "Superman II: the Richard Donner cut" different X3

It's indeed one of the hardest projects I've have worked on and having some emotion family issues and passing of old friends and family members was not helping me so I do need time, be patient my furry friends and family... this thing will be finished... I will complete this pornographic quest!!! :3

Merry Christmas Everybody!!!

Gosh I couldn't write this journal on the actually day for upsetting reasons. My family and friends (Including my furry friends of course) were showering me with lots of love all morning, making me feel warm and happy. but oh boy in the middle of the day it turned pretty horrible. I can't say "how" to you because it's a long story and it's just an upsetting one. well thankfully it was saved by my mothers friend who likes me enough to treat me to a dinner and a show, I saw "Riddick" if you were wondering, not a bad movie. And I had some cheese cake with a candle in it. the ending was the highlight of the whole day.

Well even though it was an emotionally upsetting day in the beginning, the ending was a happy one :3

Did nothing special, but we did visit some nice and special places. Wen't to a few Wineries, tasted and drink a few, only two that I like (I don't drink wine very often) mostly ice wines I liked. visited my dads friend who cooked too much awesome food, Ribs, chicken, sweet potatoes fried on the BBQ and mashed into almost baby-food, Potatoes salad and noodle salad in one bowl, Watermelon, pine apple, chips and booze. Then I got to see "Pacific Rim" Not too bad a film, fun and action-packed. and then just drove around and saw some sights, very lovely ones.

Glad to be back! now time to get back to work :3

Kelowna for two days. staying at a hotel and meeting some of my dads friends. I don't think I'll take computer with me on this trip because it's not at a friends or families place so using internet doesn't sound safe to me, plus it might get stolen. so i'll be quiet for two days and hopefully having fun.
