Yo yo everyone I don't usually post update journals but figured it might be prudent to make one some peeps might be going too but yeah as the title says I'll be heading to Anthrocon 2024 along with my wonderful mate Danji and a few other peeps!
We manged to snag the Omni so we're easily walkable, as such if peeps wanna meet up I'd be cool with it I'll make sure my discord is open and or I'll keep my big ears to the ground ~.=.^

As well with me being on vacation it means my weekly sketch posts will go on a hiatus ( might have a few past commissions I got that i can post but will see how it all goes ) but doesn't mean I won't be doodling, gonna be hitting up the sketchbook swaps n such.

After the con it's coaster time!!! So that will be a blast to snag some more coaster credits.

Heyas everyone and happy end of the year! One short update for now but it doesn't mean I'm done as I've got two more surprises planned. As I'm still on vacation there's no personal art post ( mostly ) today so I've got one more awesome commission to post as well as my art year in review coming later on today!
It's been a pretty amazing time so far this year for me with what I've felt I've accomplished and I've never felt so proud of my own art so yeah I'm honestly over the moon about it and really keen to get going on more in the new year.
Also I'll be shuffling things around in my gallery a bit as my sketches have become less sketch and more "polished" so I've got a plan there that will start in the new year.

But as it stands I'm hoping I'll be feeling even more confident thanks to some amazing people in my life ( and one VERY amazing person ;3 ) and hoping that I'll able to get more finished pieces out along with my regular sketches and maybe even some writing and lore!
For now I will say I bid a fond adieu to 2023 and here's to 2024 and more!

Happy Holidays and a Merry X-Mas to all!

This is going to be a nice short 'n sweet update saturday since I'm officially taking my holiday vacation for a week or two so that means I'll be taking some time to relax and do only some light sketching and idea planning so no “regular” update but that doesn't mean there won't be an update today as I've still got one planned, just that it'll be a commission set I got recently ( so stay tuned for that )

But yeah figured it would be good to make a nice holiday update since I've gotten so into the routine of posting, as well gotta wish all the amazing people I know a very Merry Christmas (especially a certain draconid ~.=.^ )
And with that I'll sigh off till next time and I'll totally have an end of the year wrap up review

Whew! What a wild ride it's been and now that I'm back and it's a saturday I can resume some posting and art-ing and well might as well get to an update as well but not a full update yet sort of that preshow.
But yes I have returned from my vacation and seeing my hubbie Danji, the time was VERY well spent and the con was amazing ( more on that later ) as was the coasters and us time after it!

I'll have more details and such later on as well as posting some of the art I got or made over the course of the trip, I do want to clean some more of them up before I post them even if they are good enough as sketches so that is on the list today during my art time! Which is another nice note, I have a backlog now so I feel ahead of the "game" and can put some extra thought into them.
But I'm rambling again here, just wanted to make a quick update so I can get back to drawing and let people that I'll have a lot to show and say in the coming hours and days including a few new online places / galleries I'll be updating.

Ahoy-hoy everyone!
So as some might have noticed, there's been no art update today and sad to say there won't be one BUT doesn't mean there isn't an update....

So the past week or so I've been getting a lot of things at the studio ready to run on autopilot... HA! It's a flying joke and I'm making a flying race game! But also because I'll be literally flying down ( HA double joke! ) on a little vacation to visit my bestest and amazing hubbie  Lurdanjo AND to attend Anthrocon '23 in the flesh again!
That's right peeps! The dragonid is gonna be wandering and enjoying AC'23 this year so if anyone wants to meet up or say hi or heck do some doodling hit me up as I want to just meet as many amazing furries and scalies as I can and be engrossed in this amazing fandom, that and get some shweet merch >:D

After the con I'll still be theme park hopping with Danji and depending on how free things are there might be time for an update or two but as it stands consider this green dragonid on vacay!
Also a HUGE thanks again to everyone here, it has been amazing to come back to the fandom and just see so many fantastic people making contributing and or enjoying all this, I have a lot to be happy for, looking at you Danji, and a lot to be proud of, and this fandom is one of those things.

Heyas everyone!

I know I don't update a whole lot in regards to journals and things but I feel I should be, and with the change happening this weekend I figured might as well make a journal out of it.
So as some have noticed ( thank you all! ) I've been pretty dedicated in drawing / finishing AND posting art at lest once a week for the better part of year+, most of the time its my own sketches with an odd commission, and believe me that will NOT change as it has been a boon to my skill and my mental health doing it, as well its netting me some new peeps and artists to talk too.
But what is happening this week is special... here in the great white north its FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!

And well with me attending them for almost a decade and being a comic guy and even making a video game WITH comics as the main method of story delivery, I'll be taking the day off from posting my art ( might toss a past commission up there if I have time ) but yeah just and FYI for peeps!
If peeps are in the Edmonton area I'll shop hopping starting with Rolling Tales run by my amazing friend Jay!

So that covers 2 / 3 parts of the journal as for the other part... gallery changes....
As my hubbie has mentioned as n artist I don't have a lot of my own finished art in my gallery and well since my sketches are getting better and better and more complex.... yeah there will be a change where some of the more finished sketches will be promoted and placed in the main gallery! That may include recent sketches and or future ones so stay tuned there.
On the flip side some of the less stellar drawings or old ones or even a few commissions may get demoted and placed ins the sketch bin, as I still want them but yeah I'd like to show off more better art!

Also I want to give a massive thank you to everyone that has stopped by to watch or fave or comment on my art progress, you guys are amazing and I am so grateful for it! as well want to give thanks to two others, my special one and a special friends that have done even more for me! ( thank you Danji and Paph! )

And with that, that ends my update for this week! As the summer creeps on I'll update more as I'll be hitting up a con or two ( you know the one... THAT one ~.=.^ )

As said above plus welcome to 2023! A big thank you to everyone and here's to an amazing year!
Not much else to report on my end things have been a nice start up save for my new tablet PC arriving in less than working condition but that is getting settled with no issues. As for resolutions well pretty normal ones for the most part so I wont bore people with it ( maybe later... ) but I DO want to be making some more finished pieces, sharing what I'm actually working on *cough* a video game *cough*, getting more active and putting myself out there to get more involved in this great community, much like my hubbie is doing  Lurdanjo ( he's a great inspiration! ) so here's to that!

But yeah with it being the first Saturday I'm getting back into the swing of things and I'll be doing my regular post again tomorrow ( or is it today? ) so stay tuned for that.

Again keeping this short 'n sweet but thank you to everyone who has stood by me and been an amazing friend or more, you guys are like gold to me!

I don't usually put up to many journals but I feel it's worth it this time as I have more than just cheery greetings to give. I mean those are included for sure but...

So as many have noticed I've been pretty faithfully doing Saturday updates, well here's the FYI, with Xmas landing this weekend I'll be putting off my weekly post for this week ( and maybe next week we'll see ) to enjoy some downtime as many do, but wow have I thoroughly enjoyed and have been amazed with myself at being able to keep up with the posts and its helped my self esteem and confidence and speed, even if they are sketches it feels good to look forward to posting. And a HUGE thanks to all that faves and comment I appreciate everyone of them, and of course can't thank my hubbie Danji  Lurdanjo enough for what he does for me and what he says on the posts! Love ya! ^.=.^ <3

So with that comes the reassurance that YEP I'll keep posting every week so that's not going away, probably won't make many changes to what gets posted so expect that the be the same too, nice mix of sketches with any art that isn't for the game or under orders to not post ( yet ;3 )

And now to resume some of my regular programming... and a little update, but whew! Finally back home after a much needed vacation and after 2 years of not seeing him I finally got some much needed quality time with my best boyfriend mate and more! Love ya  Lurdanjo

Also as mentioned in an earlier journal this trip also included me hitting up my first Anthrocon! and I have to say I am just BLOWN AWAY! It was like no other con I have been too and the connection and energy and just celebration of the fandom was what hit me the most and in all the good ways, I now feel way more connected and proud and open to this wonderful community. Never have I been able to just walk up and talk to and see and take pictures with so many amazing furs! Not to mention seeing how open and friendly everyone was from the vendors to the celebrities to the artists heck being able to see Xanni was huge for me!

But I could gush all day about the con and seeing Keke flipnote and his cute drawings and meeting everyone but there is more!
So after the con I got to go on an absolutely amazing roller coaster road trip with my hubbie! and I can say the coasters weren't the only perk, just being able to see so much of the eastern USA and spend so much dedicated time with Danji just reenergized me. As well making the stop off to see Libra and Ota and Vixion was great!
But yeah yeah the coasters! Man did I get spoiled rotten, we hit the worlds best parks, form Kings Island to CedarPoint and more and now I can say I've ridden some truly amazing feats of machinery! And yeah most of them totally beat out the good ol' W.E.M. Mindbender! XD

All in all this trip, everything about it just gave me what was missing for the past 2 years and I will never forget it! Plus I will SO be going back to AC next year!
I just feel so good to get this all out and I want to be and do more in this wonderful community so I hope to get more out! Until the next update then take care all you amazing peeps!

Wowies has it really been that long since my last journal! Time to rectify that with some actual news and good news at that.

So now that the *ahem* "gestures to everything" has mostly cleared up... I'll finally be able to head on out for some fun and that TOTALLY includes heading on down to my first Anthrocon with my best hubbie and boyfriend and more  Lurdanjo
It's going to be a super fun and chill time and see how this con varies from the others and having a blast seeing peeps and of course getting some swag! But yeah hanging out is gonna be key and visiting!

I'll try to keep in contact and have the usual discord, telegram and others open and stuff but yeah I have no doubt that it'll be a freaking BLAST an then after Anthrocon is some more fun with a coaster trip! So ROAD TRIP! :D
But I'd love to hear who else is going to the con this coming week.

Gotta keep up with making these here journals to let people know about whats going on...
So as people have no doubt been seeing I've been a bit more "regular" in posting art and sketches and even old art from my huge backlog. And well I can say that this isn't going to let anytime soon! I finally feel more confident than ever to start posting and showing my art, and no its not related to this weirdness and the pandemic ( yes it was partly related but... ) more its more along the lines of... I got more free time back and my schedule needed to be rearranged and I needed to fill it with something and that happened to be posting old art as I was seeing so much out there and I looked back going "some of this is pretty good..."
But with the months becoming more stable and my mind in less flux and worry and the area being less disastrous I became more clear and observant to things and well I've been getting more ideas as such. and with it comes the need to get those ideas out hence the updates.

As well with a renewed sense of world building and lust for escapism ( and some very good RPs ) I went back to making characters and worlds and rebuilding old ones and expanding new ones and in it all I needed to get the old original comic and original drawings of mine out and do justice to the characters I made so long ago that have been here with me...

But anyway back on track! So with this new time and balance and feel I've been practicing more and more and I will keep posting this stuff! Even if its a sketch its gonna end up here along with my more recent 3d props and prints
As well with the recent posting of some of this... well I can say that I've been approached for the odd commission, now this is first ( in a long while ) and I can say that I'm confident enough that YES I can accept commissions at this time, 2d, 3d, etc. I'll try my best with anyone of them, all you need to do it poke me or note me, time permitting that is. I'm still thankful to be employed at my day job ( as video game designer and artist ) but sometimes there only so much video game you can look at ~.=.^

But in the long run I'm glad to be here and back doing art. So thank you to all of you who have stuck by or been here from the start I want to thank people new and old! You guys are amazing!

I know I'm fairly quiet here and all that but that's my own issue to overcome, and I will try. So where to begin in all of this... I won't sugar coat all of what I want to even if I feel there's warrant for it of that but neither am I going to dwell on all this.

Well like most of the world, its been hard right now, doom gloom uncertainty quarantine and cabin fever everywhere, I'm super thankful Canada has been "mostly" good in all this, it still sucks here, and it still doesn't change the fact I'm hurting in someways and feeling the sting of all this "crap" and how it has gone so far. Its been tough emotionally and mentally for so many reasons. I don't want to dwell or think back on the reasons but... seeing the world crumble ( for now ) and my industry getting killed off where I live, it's hard to not just lose it all. But physically I mean I'm ok I'm doing well and getting better but its not without the days where I just feel the need to cry. These last few weeks especially have been tough.
With things the way they are I still worry about the ones close to me, the waiting is what sucks the most. On top of that I wasn't able to make my trip down to see Danji, and with all of the social aspect gone both our birthdays ( they are close together ) were meh to a bust to rough... but it is improving and there are things to we can do later.
I just, I try to be strong but sometimes I can't hold it in and I want help and understanding... to let my words be heard to know I have support...

Anyway enough of that gloom, there are some good things coming along.

I've got a patreon mostly ready to be made public ( its launched but more "private" and a tip jar ATM ) but I do have a patreon
I'm going to be posting some more sketches, from a multitude of topics and such, and rough works here along with stuff that I can show from other projects, I mean might as well show where I'm going with things including my costume props and 3d work.
As well I'm making sure more of my backlog of art both old and new is up / posted here, at this point I can't be so afraid to show my old work... even if I find it cringy and bad its a part me and my development of skill plus some hasn't been seen like ever...
But the one major thing I want to do is make sure all the old HDR comics are up here as well. Sort of get the old comic and where it went posted so I can move it along and show where most of my characters came from as well as show off the other projects I have that are developing.
I'm getting excited thinking about what I can show off with them!

But I will close off with; as we take each day, remember that we are all still here, we can find support we can get strong we can.
I wish each and everyone well, and may support be everywhere in these times.

Sure I'm a bit late on all this sort of thing but better late then never and with the first few weeks of the decade behind me I've settled in to this and really looked back over the last 10 years and wow... Things are far different and in a way I feel I'm in a better position and with a far better grasp on things, and much happier.

With the first week I felt I had to settle in as to this new year differently... as such I let my stream of conscious go and well I know journals like this are all for saying things like resolutions and promises and things to look forward too, no question there I will be saying those things and even keeping to them the best I can. But I feel sometimes it's good to just let that stream happen and well I feel some may find it odd or dislike it but I'm going to share it here in this first journal.

"Remember a date wont make a change, you need to make a change, got to choose to make that, a dates a date its not magical you wont become a new person just because the calendar flipped over.
You can see that date and know it's time to wash away all that was left on you from the last; hour, year, decade...

Not sure what I'm getting at but it's what my fresh new mind thought up.
But back to more standard parts, so what am I looking to do this year... well some obvious ones are get better at my craft ( 3d, art, games, etc ), practice more, post my work, work on my health and get on a better schedule. But along with that is stop being scared and EXPLORE! I have a great opportunity and with someone special by my side I'm going to to that, starting with hitting up more conventions and AnthroCon2020 being the big one! Not only that a BIG one I want to do, and may sound weird but... draw my characters! I have so many of them ( over 60 at last count and growing thanks to RP's ) that exist only as words or figments in my head and I feel they deserve a chance to be seen and I NEED to show them.

And that's what I've got to say in this first journal now that I feel I've got my bearings expect to see me be more active and in this community I enjoy! And YES I'll be going to post work at least once a week, whether it's old, new, sketch or 3d and I'll be showing where I'm active.
Overall I really do want to make the most of what I've learned and use the help so many people have offered me and give back to the one that has given me their heart and love. I can't forget to mention the one that has done so much for me and helped me in SO many ways, the love of my life  Lurdanjo, you are amazing and have my eternal love and friendship <3

Long 'n short I'm still glad to be back here and have the most amazing people in my life ( and one in specific >:3 )
I did slack off on posting art but i did get some new pieces up ( mostly in inktober ) and it appears I've got a bit of traction and some confidence back so I'll be trying harder to keep up that and post more even though the old art still need to get posted ~.=.^
Some of the old crew I've been drawing for years ( or used to ) are in need of a little redesign and the introduction of some new faces will make it all that more exciting, as well as the expression of more things that have sparked my interest both SFW and NSFW...

But all in all I've been feeling better and better about so many things and I want that feeling to keep on coming! The time off here has really helped me to see where i NEED to improve and well I think / know I just need to post more!
So consider this an early resolution ( more on that later as we round our this crazy ass decade XD )

Alright alright yeah i know I'm late to posting this but if you haven't noticed I've been trying my best to give inktober a shot. First time giving it a go and well so far I'm getting in the practice I need and its been well just FUN!
Also its allowed me to find some old art that I never thought I'd be posting here and making NEW art regardless but I've got start showing things off and this is the best time to do it.

So yeah as I mosey along in this month I'll be trying to pair up my inktober 2019's with an old piece so i can really see the change ( or in some cases not so change ;D ) in my skills.

Also it's worth noting that I've got several over new or reactivated accounts that I'm posting to as well.
for now though I've got a cursed dragon pirate mask to finish! for Halloween!

Long time no journal... whew what a summer was chock full of fun and excitement and even some unexpected surprises.
where to start, short of just recounting everything ( not worth it and not many are interested in it )
but i will say some highlights
- camping with the buds so D&D under the stars
- got the team assembled for my second video game project ( prototypes almost done )
- found my groove again with drawing and 3d
- started to do many more 3d prints and props ( may even take a commission or two )

AND the cherry topping i got to host my wonderful mate / BF Danji for two whole weeks up here in the great white north, we did everything from see the sights here, play some video games, hit the world water park, lots of talking and fun with friends, and even a road trip to Drumheller for some dinosaur action ^.=.^
It was amazing to have him here and in person again and i loved every minuet.

But with all that over comes time to pull up my proverbial tail and get back to improving and posting thing ( yes I'm still be doing that ) heck I've even got a few new galleries open ( newgrounds for one, had to make a new one as my old one is looonnnnggg gone ) and patreon setup.
I've got more old art to post, a few RP doodles, some 3d works, a comic or two, a few props and 3d prints ( with Halloween coming up ) and more.
for now though i hope i can get back to posting things more regularly and hopefully mix in some new and old art and get some much needed crits and comments.
As well a heads up but people might see some shuffling of art as I find better or more "modern" and or coloured versions of art already posted.

Whelp time to start up again with posting and such. Hoping to have a bit more diversity and be a bit more prompt with the uploads. Was a bit slow and still a slow getting going so... yeah...

OH GAWDS! What have I done XD

Yeah ok less melodramaticism... so I have started uploading some very "old art" and as stated in previous journals for the reasons outlined there. Well after a decade of being silent I have finally broken that and well... be forewarned that this will continue for a while but new stuff will be sprinkled in here and there.

*whew* That is all. happy arting all!

Ok so enough pussy footing around... I know DAMN well I've been “absent” and scared for too long and it's time I actually go about doing something to fix that as well as show myself that I am better than the frightened past me, oh and hey its not like I “gave up” on art I just never really showed it. I recognize that I had a real shattering of confidence and I aim to change that and become a better person and artist and I know I can't do that without showing my stuff, I know I wont get better without practice and by not knowing where I came from... so with that mantra in mind I'm going to be posting my works, old new it doesn't matter I have to show my stuff, I have to break my confidence issues.
So yeah... but first off i want to say one thing I know couldn't have done this without some real help, some big pushes and real genuine support from a very special loving kind individual (you know who you are sweetstuff! ;3)

*whew* So with that expect to see some real old ass art coming in the next bit, I don't want to but I will feature it as its only fair and it's the only way I'll get over this fear of showing my work but it will be shuffled off eventually as I get my backlog posted.
Where will I begin? I dunno but it will likely be stuff I'm not proud of now but maybe people will get a kick out and maybe I'll surprise myself seeing how far I've come.
Lastly where have i been sice I last posted... well its not pretty or exciting but life does strange things and takes all of us on strange paths doesn't it. Mines been long and very convoluted... suffice to say I've been all over the map art wise and job wise but I've found my way back here and I want to make a go with my skills or at the very lest have fun with them.

So with that I want to say a big huge thank you to those that have stuck by me new and old you will be seeing more of me.

So yes, i'm not THAT dead just getting my shiz together. But in other good news as the title suggests, so after some ups n downs and some long chats and culminating in a week long visit (still ongoing ;P ) it is with great pleasure that i can finally say Dun DUN DDUUUUNNNNN!

So as the title says, lately I've been doing a lot of creative writing, more than drawing actually. But the big and startling thing is I find that I'm liking what I'm writing! I kinda feel it.. doesn't suck! And hey I'll be the first to say I'm no writer so for me to like whats being put down is a big thing.
Not going lie this recent jump in my skills might be due to some great RP's I've been having with friends or because I'm taking the hot seat as DM again in our weekly RPG sessions (doing a D6 campaign this time) or maybe because I've been writing this comic story on an off for over 5 years. But the either way...

So I guess what I'm trying to come to terms with... is do I go ahead and share these "stories"?
